~(Y/N)~

Pain rushed in fast causing me to wake with a groan. As I opened my eyes to a bright and blurry morning, I look around watching the blur fade. Hanji was at my side holding my hand, shocked to see me awake she laughed and leaned forward. "Oh thank god!" she says before flopping on top of me.

"Ow ow!" I yelp.

"Sorry," she mutters.

Chuckling at her I shake my head. "Where am I?" I asked still trying to process what happened to me.

"You're in the hospital- it was pretty dramatic," she begins to explain. Sitting up, Hanji then handed me a glass of water. "Basically from what Erwin told me, Larry came over and was trying to get you to leave with him. Was drunk as hell-"

"I remember that Hanji," I retort.

"Okay well you got sick then collapsed in front of a policeman, Erwin was going crazy wondering what was wrong with you- I had to get him to leave this morning so he wouldn't be late for work. And the kids, I dropped them off at school for you," she explains.

"Okay well, why did I pass out?" I ask.

She stayed silent for a moment before grabbing some papers. Confused, I stayed silent too but was prepared to ask until she asked me something, "You and Erwin used protection right?"

What? I mean yeah but it's been a week since we last did it...but the first time with him had to be about 4 weeks? Maybe less? "Yeah,"

She hands me the papers then says, "Well something must've broken because girl... you're pregnant,"

Shocked, I looked at the results. Does Erwin know? He must if he's been here and was here when they tested me. "Does he-"

"Only I know- well now you but he doesn't know,"

Sitting there in silence my heart was pounding, and my head felt light. Oh boy, I might pass out again and this time from shock. "Whatever you wanna do, I'll support it. I won't say a thing either way,"

I smile at her feeling grateful to have her support but, I wasn't planning on ridding of this little miracle. "Well I hope you like the idea of being an aunt," I say almost immediately Hanji stands up and gasps.

"Really! Oh- you better look out because I'm gonna spoil the hell out of your kid!" I started to laugh upon hearing her say that, truly I was happy but the real question was... what was Erwin going to think? I mean he's already got two...two beautiful children but does he really want a third?

"I better call Erwin, let him know I'm alright,"

Once Hanji had stepped out of the room, I grabbed my phone from the side table. It took a couple of minutes for the blonde to pick up but once he did, it felt as though my heart was in my throat. "(Y/N)? Is everything alright?" he instantly asks.

"Y-yes I just woke up," now I was nervous, how could I tell him? Oh, I hope this isn't a bad time!

"Thank goodness, you scared the hell out of me,"

"I'm sorry but-"

"No need to be sorry Angel, sorry I interrupted you,"

Then there was a rather long and awkward pause as I tried to form the right thing to say. "(Y/N)?" he calls.

"Y-yeah sorry- I-" I stop again. God just spit it out. "Erwin I'm pregnant!"

I couldn't hear a thing on the other side, at first I wondered if maybe he hung up on me, but after checking I saw we were still connected. Now I was terrified, what could he possibly be thinking? Was he angry? Trying to find some sugar-coated way to tell me he didn't want it? To tell me to get rid of it? Or was he so unbelievably happy that he couldn't form words? Maybe he passed out. "Er-"

Then he hung up on me. My chest felt tight out of fear I had upset him. I did my best not to panic and tried thinking that maybe he just needed a moment to process my words. About five minutes or so after he hung up on me, my phone rang. It was him. "Erwin? Are you okay?"

"Yes- I'm so sorry to have hung up on you, I was just in shock just now,"

I hesitated for a moment before asking, "Are you mad? Tell me what you're thinking..please,"

Silence ensued until I hear him chuckle. "God, no. If anything I'm incandescently happy. So happy that I get to have a child with the woman I love,"

The nervousness slowly melted away as the words left his mouth. I knew now that I shouldn't doubt him ever again. Because he wasn't Larry, he'd never treat me the way my ex did. I felt dumb for having that fear he'd leave me. Erwin loves me.

"When do you get out?" he asks.

"I have no idea, I'll ask and text you,"

"Okay, I'll come pick you up and get the kids, we need to celebrate,"

As he went on listing the things we need I cut him off, "Erwin!"

"Yes Angel?" he asks.

I was smiling like an idiot at this point, all I had left to say was, "I love you,"

"I love you too," With that, we both said our goodbyes. I went on to find out when I could be discharged which after talking with the doctor about my pregnancy and everything, they let me go deeming that I was perfectly fine. When Erwin came to pick me up, I walked up towards the back as Michael rolled down the window. "Mama!" he calls.

"Hi, sweeties!" Leaning in I kiss them both on the cheek, I really had to reach for Rose but we managed. I stepped away when I heard Erwin's door open, as he stepped out, I slipped around and jumped into his arms once he was standing. His strong arms held me tightly as his face hid in my neck.

Pulling away for a moment we look at one another happily. I was so glad to have found someone who put in the same amount of effort as me. Who understood me, hell even loved me the way I loved them. "Let's go home,"

Yes...home! I nod and quickly walk around the front of his car. Once buckled in, Erwin took the car off of park and pulled away from the curb. The sound of children's music played softly in the background as I looked out the window happily. This has been my family all along, and I'm so happy I found them.
