"I'm not eating it and that's final!"

"Jade, come on, you haven't eaten in seven hours!" Cole groaned. What he was was true: she'd last eaten at about three when Cole had brought her a bowl of Mac N' Cheese. She'd been satisfied until dinner at six, but granted that Wu and Garmadon had returned serum Jade had refused to eat or drink anything. Which, sadly, had brought on the ten-thirty PM argument between Cole, Jade, Kai and Jay, "There's nothing in it!"

"Sure there's not!" she growled, "You're trying to drug!"

"You watched me make you a sandwich!" Kai argued, "You saw me put nothing on it but turkey and Swiss."

"How do I know you didn't put anything in there before I asked you to make it for me?" granted, many may think she is simply being paranoid, "Nothing on this ship is safe for me anymore!"

"We didn't put anything in it!" Jay yawned half-heartedly, "Just eat it, will ya?" He wasn't trying very hard to convince her, either. He was tired, wanted some sleep and didn't entirely care for Jade's well being as it was, still not having let go of the roof incident that practically started this whole downward spiral so long ago. And the fact Jade was a sketchy character and he understood nothing of why everyone was fussing.

Jay's yawn brought a yawn upon Jade as well, "No."

Jay threw up his hands, "I'm going to bed," no one stopped him, either.

"I'm not going to bed until you eat something," Cole stood his ground.

"Fine by me, I can do this all night," Jade leaned forward to taunt the two boys, despite her bone-deep exhaustion, "I'm naturally nocturnal!"

"Were you born that way or created to be nocturnal?" Cole raised an eyebrow, questioning her Serpentine descendancy for the first time.

"I'll have you know," Jade flared her nostrils, "That I made myself like that."

"Why?"

"Because I freakin felt like it!" she rubbed at her eyes, hoping to make them stop burning, "Are you going to sleep yet?"

"Not until we ensure you're not going to starve yourself," Cole crossed his arms, "Eat, and we'll leave you be."

"I'm not eating anything from this ship you're trying to poison me," Kai and Cole barely understood her through the heavy yawn.

"We are not trying to poison you, what do we have to do to make you see that?!" Kai pleaded, "No one here is going to harm you in any way, Jade, eat something."

Her stomach grumbled, and the two boys' faces lit up. Cole looked more smug than anything, "You are hungry."

"Am not. Go to sleep."

"You first," Kai challenged.

The scowl on the hybrid deepened, "I am not going to sleep before you two. You'll just shove something down my throat and that'll poison me. Or suffocate me..."

Fruitless arguments like this went on for at least another two and a half hours. Kai was sleeping on his feet, standing like a horse in the middle of the kitchen, and Cole droopy-eyed as he continued to talk back at Jade, "Why are you being so stubborn about this?"

Jade however, was more tired than Cole and most likely more tired than hungry now, too. but, as her stubborn streak would have it, she willed herself to stay awake, "Because you are."

Cole opened his mouth, but yawned. While that occurred, he held up a finger to ensure the silence until he was finished, "How about we both have a bite of something and then go to sleep."

Jade blinked really slowly, comprehending what was happening in her head, "Fine." And that's exactly what happened. Cole scarfed down a quick sub at the same pace Jade did.

After all, he had nothing to worry about.

His smugness quickly faded when Jade's gaze became unfocused. She froze for a moment, paused in time, before her eyes crossed, knees wobbled, and she collapsed. Cole didn't have enough reflex to catch her, but he did have the courtesy of carrying her to bed before retiring himself.

Sucky filler chapter, I'm sorry for making you wait it's just exams and school and... yeah. SCHOOL IS OVER THO so I'll have more time to write [hopefully] non-sucky chapters.
