Theodore's POV

Sammy and I were chatting with a few of the warriors about the war plan when Lynn just dropped. She just suddenly fell to the ground in the middle of a conversation with one of the older warriors. We sprinted over to her side as fast as we could as she began screaming in her state of unconsciousness. But then I noticed something super weird; her bracelets was flashing red, black, then blue. "What does that mean?" I asked frantically looking around for answers, but everyone seemed just as confused as I was.

Just as I was about to ask again Zayn and Alex's aunt came over. Now is probably not the best time for observations but her eyes are the spitting image of Zayns. When she reached the sight she looked worried as she said, "She's having a vision. It's probably the same one I just had. Of course, it won't be as clear as mine."

"What's happening?" called Zayn running over to the scene with Alex a bit behind him.

"She having a vision," I answered matter- a- factly even though I was freaked out.

"It must be really bad," Alex commented based on screams.

"If it is anything like the one I just had, it's definitely not rainbows and sunshine." Aunt Carol added on.

"Why is her bracelet doing that," I wondered out loud, "Where's Drew? He might know." I looked around for any sign of Drew but I couldn't see anything because of all of the people around me. Thomas was also missing, they were probably together knowing those two.

Just as Aunt Carol was about to take a guess Lynn shot up from her position and said, "They're coming! They're coming right now!"

"Who's coming?" Sammy asked hoping for a different answer than what we expected.

Lynn pointed to Alex and Zayn and cried, "Their parents! They are having all the people that can shapeshift, teleport, or uses any fast mode of transportation bring as many warriors as they can! We are so dead we didn't even have time to train!"

Just as I was sure Lynn was going to break out in tears Aunt Carol grabbed her shoulders and whispered something in her ear, as soon as she did that Lynn was silent. "Can I borrow that?" Aunt Carol asked Lynn who silently compiled handing Aunt Carol her bracelet. She then rubbed the charm seeming to know exactly what to do with the bracelet, "Make my voice loud enough to stretch until the last warrior in this group."As soon as she said the command the bracelet shimmered and moved a bit. Then it ceased to move signaling that it was ready. Aunt Carol then cleared her throat before booming out, "Your attention, please. The enemies are on the way but do not fret we have trained long and hard for this. Those of you who have not trained with me have more training for this situation than you know. So right now I need everyone to get into the groups discussed. Shapeshifters and anybody with physical powers are going to be the first line of defense seeing as this will cause us to have an element of surprise. Second, we have the teleporters, mind readers or mind control of any kind, minor powers such as gardening, and people with force fields. This will allow the people that are better with weapons than with their powers, and the people with not as helpful war powers to be protected at all times. Lastly, we have the warriors with long distance or elemental powers. This will allow you to take your time to create as much damage as possible. So everybody please gather your weapons and prepare for war. Anybody with any questions report to me immediately, along with Andrew Jones and Thomas Young."

We all wore shocked expressions. Well, everybody except for Lynn, who looked like she was about to throw up. Just then Lynn ran into the forest with Alex trying to follow in pursuit but Aunt Carol stopped him. He looked furious as he stormed off in the opposite direction.

Sammy nudged my shoulder and said, "Go talk to him, I'll go find where we should hide and save a spot for you. I'm sure you will hear when the war begins. For now, I think he needs some advice and comfort."

I looked at her and nodded, " He's had it tough, I'll talk to him. Just have the mind reader we were talking to earlier send me a message when you need us." She nodded and I pecked her on the cheek before sprinting after Alex. Being a Dragon means I can see extremely well and I am very fast, so I caught up with Alex in no time. "What's up with you dude?" I asked grabbing Alex's shoulders forcing him to turn around and face me.

"Get off of me!" he shouted his eyes jet black.

"Whoa," I cried jumping back but not releasing him, "calm down everything is okay. You're going to be okay."

Alex then gave me a death glare shaking with rage while yelling, " Nothing is okay! If you call having to kill somebody to have everything be back to normal okay then sure everything is fine! Now Lynn had some unknown vision that is probably about how we are going to do it, so yes everything is just peachy!"

I had to stifle a laugh at the word peachy but that was beside the point. "What do you mean you have to kill somebody?" I question trying to keep my calm.

"All I know is that Zayn and I have to kill the second other we meet," Alex forced out through gritted teeth struggling to get free.

"Who was that?" I asked tightening my grip, getting tired of his antics.

"We thought it was Drew at first, but he really isn't an other so it is either Thomas or Sammy. Now let go of me before I send lightning coursing through your body!" he demanded, landing a kick to my stomach.

I doubled over releasing him immediately before remembering his words. He might be going to kill, Sammy. All of the sudden adrenaline and power flowed through me as I tapped into my dragon side. Before I knew I had tackled Alex and was holding him in the air not caring whether I was hurting him or not. "You are not killing Sammy. I don't care what happens," I commanded struggling not transform.

"We met T-Thomas first," he coughed out struggling, "You're burning me! You're burning me!"

Just as I was about to release him I felt as if I was being electrocuted by a quadrillion watts of electricity as I fell to the ground.

I heard Alex shout, "Oh no!" before everything was dark.

It was like I could hear everything around me but I couldn't move an inch. I tried to focus on opening my eyes but they wouldn't budge. I could hear somebody saying something but I couldn't make out what it was so I tried to listen closer. The voice sounded familiar but what were they saying? It had to be a girls voice but I was left with Alex, right? Yeah, he electrocuted me! He's so dead when I wake up! Wait it's kinda clearer. "Purry nup! Tear fear! The more pez karting!" What does that mean? Is it a different language? The voice seemed to come closer and it sounded clearer as it said something along the lines of, "Hurry mup! They're here! The lar is starting." What does that mean? Hurry mup, They're here, The lar is startin? Wait a second, hurry mup? Hurry up! They're here! Who could possibly be here, and why would that mean I would have to hurry up? Wait there was one more thing the voice was saying, wasn't there? Right as I was racking my brain for possibilities the voice called out again, "Hurry up, Theo! They're here! The war is starting! We need you here now!" Alex's parents that's who they are. I have to get there fast and find my spot, now! But I have to wake up first. I used all of my might to try and lift up my lids, but it was as if they were made of led. It didn't matter how much I tried I couldn't get the darkness to evade me. I kept trying and trying but my energy was wearing thin.

Just as I was about to give up and let my exhaustion take over I heard Alex plead to me. "Theo please wake up! I can't do this alone. I need you to help me! I couldn't live with myself if you were dead and I was the reason why. Please, Theo just wake up! If not for me than for Sammy. She can't lose anybody else she needs you. Her sister needs you. We all need you."

It was like a light switch was flipped on inside of. Like out of nowhere a fire had started. This boundless energy coursed through me a mile a minute and I knew what I had to do. My eyes flew open with astounding speed and I stood up with ease my eyes flaming orange. Alex looked at me with a shocked expression. I just looked at him and said, "You're right none of us deserve to lose anybody else. It is because of these barbaric animals that we are here today. Now it is our turn to make them lose the thing they love the most; their power. We are going tear them limb from limb, without hesitation."

Alex just looked at me wide-eyed. But slowly his mouth formed a smile and he said, "You're right. We are going to destroy anything they ever wanted. But right now we have to get back, so we can-"

All of the sudden Alex's voice faded out, and his eyes turned back to their original blue. it was like he was a robot and his battery died. "What?" I asked slightly agitated. We have to go, now!

"I-we can't go back! We can't win! They have The Killer, and we can't beat him. The only way to do that is by- no! We just can't! Everybody is going to die. This is it I'm finally going to die. I thought that I'd at least be able to survive through this. To actually be able to forgive my brother. To be able to have a family with- you know what it doesn't matter, we're going to die anyway." Alex stood there huffing up and down looking for me to say he was right. Too bad I'm not that kind of person.

"Fine," I started looking at Alex my eyes still blazing, "You can give up and let your parents win. But you know who won't do that? Lynn. She's going to fight. Do you know why she is going to fight? She's going to do it for you. But her powers aren't that great for wars. So she is going to go out and fight for you or try to, then she is going to fight somebody ten times stronger than her because you and I both know our little Madelynn is ambitious." I paused for a moment looking over at Alex and sure enough, his eyes were starting to darken. I was starting to get to him. "When Lynn does that she will try her hardest to distract the person with her teleporting and mind games. But let's face it, how long can she really keep that up for? She can only teleport once, maybe twice without passing out so what is she going to do then? I can tell you exactly what will happen. She is going to get killed. She is going be dead, and I'll be your fault. How Will that feel, knowing you are the reason Lynn died. Not being able to ever-"

"Stop," Alex commanded in a voice that was not his own, "let's go before I rip your head right off of your body and not think twice about it."

I just gave him a smile, which seemed to make his eyes darken even more somehow, and ran into the woods. Not to brag, but I'm really fast because when you're a shapeshifter you're automatically like a speeding bullet. So when Alex was about passing in front of me I knew something was off with him. It was as if the war was making him stronger. But either way, I couldn't have him beating me so I push myself as hard as I could. Alex was now behind me. Not far behind me but behind me. So when I suddenly came to a stop he came crashing into my back almost making me fall flat on my face. Yeah, something is definitely up with him, he's never been that strong. Once I regained my poster I started to walk to where the camp was. "Get to your spot! They're almost here!" I heard someone whisper-yell almost giving me a heart attack.

So I nodded at Alex his eyes still burning dark whereas mine was almost back to normal. I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling I had as I jogged over to a waving Sammy, that immediately dropped down as soon as I saw her. I crouched down beside Sammy who explained the exact battle plan. I just nodded my head preoccupied thinking of to many other things, but I got the jist of what she was saying. When she was done I said with concern, " I think something is wrong with Alex. He seems faster and stronger than usual. Not to mention the fact his eyes are like charcoal."

She gave me a questioning look before whispering, "What did you do?"

I rolled my eyes and answered quietly, "Nothing, I just gave him a little motivation that kinda made him furious. It was the only way to get him to come back. But that doesn't matter what do you think is wrong with him?"

Just as Samantha was going to offer her suggestion a sharp object landed just to her left making her jump. More and more of the sharp objects started falling like rain around us making it clear what was happening. "It doesn't matter now," she started getting ready to fight, " right now we need do our part. And may I add that part includes not getting killed."

I caught one of the sharp objects trying to examine it. But as soon as I caught it, it melted in my hands. A magic weapon for sure. I nodded in her direction and said, "Let's go kill some bad guys."
