Seriously, Hiccup?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was putting out fires when I heard a scream. I turned to see Hiccup running from a Monstrous Nightmare. Is it just me, or is Hiccup getting more desperate to prove himself to his dad.

I grabbed a shield and ran  to save my best friend.

I placed the shield and I in between Hiccup and the dragon. We backed away while Stoick tackled the creature. We were currently hiding behind a big central torch. (A/n: I don't know what it is called.) Poor Hiccup got grounded.

"You're not really going to stay here, are you?" I ask, my arms crossed.

"No, really?" Hiccup said sarcastically.

"Well, don't think for one second that  I am not coming with you." I reply with a smirk.

"What exactly are we looking for?'' I ask while filing my nails.

"A Night Fury." He answered.

"You're really serious about this, aren't you?' I question.

"Yeah. Why do the gods hate me?" Hiccup questioned me.

I swung around and grabbed his shoulders. "They don't hate you. I am sure there is a perfectly logical solution for why you are special." I reassure him.

Hiccup decides to hit a branch only to have it fight back.Ok, maybe they do hate him.

"Wait Hiccup, look! If you shot something down it should be straight ahead. " I whisper.

And sure enough, a beautiful black dragon lay ahead. One thing was clear, I could not let Hiccup kill him. While Hiccup was going how he was going to kill him, I sat down right next to the dragon and stroked him.

" What are you doing?" Hiccup asks me.

"This dragon could be the last of it's kind, and you want to kill it? Not going to happen. " I retort, crossing my arms and sticking my nose into the air. He wouldn't kill his best friend, right?

He looked at the dragon and then at me. Hiccup sighed.

"I did this.'' Hiccup whispered. He started to cut the rope. I pitched in. One thing was for sure, even if we let the poor guy go, he might not be able to fly. Dragons are usually symmetrical, and he was missing a tail fin.

The second he was free, he ponced. Both Hiccup and I were pinned to the earth. He let out a terrifying roar and flew away.

I turn around to see Hiccup Hiccdown.

It took me about ten minutes to revive him.
