I laugh as Hiccup messes around with the Dragon eye. "You know, I'm starting to think that you love that Dragon eye more than you love me."

Hiccup let out an exasperated gasp at my accusation. "What? No! What makes you say that?!"

"A lot of things, Dragon boy. A lot of things." Before either of us could continue, Astrid burst in.

"Guys, we have a huge problem."

"Dagur?"

"Worst." Hiccup and I exchanged glances. What could possibly be worst than... oh. Gustav. You know, he always seemed to be the perfect mixture of Hiccup and Snotlout. The ego and charms (or lack there of) of Snotlout and the clumsiness of Hiccup. Not a good combination, mind you.

Mini time skip:

"You want us to what?!" Astrid and I stood side by side, starring at the person who has the nerve to court me and throw me under the bus simultaneously.

"You do realize he has been pinning after Astrid and I for years...right? He's not going to stop until you put a ring on my hand, and even then that's a stretch." Hiccup grabbed both of my hands in an attempt to make me face him.

"Come on, it'll only be for a little bit, ok? Just till I figure out what to do with him, ok?"

Sighing, I cast him a glare. "Fine. But if he starts getting weird, I drop his ass, got that?"

Yeah...it got weird really quick. Sam ended up taking over. I feel sorry for sabotaging her and all, but you would too if a sixteen year old was drooling over you. I heard she dumped him onto Tuff and Ruff who dumped him onto Fishlegs who dumped him onto Snotlout. Only Snotlout would be dumb enough to leave him alone.

I watched as Hiccup ranted to the poor kid of how irresponsible he was. I winced. Oh gods, he sounds like his Dad.

"Hiccup, are you sure you weren't too harsh on him? I mean, yes, he was irresponsible, but he was just trying to get us to notice him." Hiccup sighed at my statement.

Turns out Hiccup was too harsh because by morning, Gustav was gone. I know Hiccup blames himself. Which is why we are negotiating with Dagur. And by negotiating I mean tricking.
