The Birthday "BASH"!
I am so sorry for not adding the future members to this. I had written this one-shot before the new ones joined so I couldn't add them in.
Please, forgive me. I promise I'll add them later on.
Today is LuckyBugBooks 's birthday and this is her gift from me and all of the Cozy Clan.
Happy Birthday, Lucky!

*The day found the beanie buddies casually chilling around their beanie shaped house, binging Ninjago since morning while their boss was out on an errand*

"Who has the remote?" Ruby wondered aloud, craning her neck to see if any of the other girls had in their possessions the aforementioned item.
"Why do you want it?" Blossom muttered, not really paying attention to Ruby's question. She instead kept her eyes on the screen and hoped that the blonde would eventually find the remote without disturbing anyone.
"I need to turn up the volume," Ruby responded, stuffing her hands here and there in search of the remote.
Choco rolled her eyes as she popped another chocolate ball into her mouth. "I swear, everytime there's a Pixane scene in the show, you need the remote to turn up the volume."
"I have to know what they're saying to each other!" Ruby argued, cheering internally as her hand felt the remote stuffed between the sofa cushions. "It's like the best and cutest ship by far!"
The TV's volume was increased by a large amount and soon the two nindroids' voices were bouncing around in the room. Blossom and Choco winced at the loudness but Ruby ignored them, a huge smile on her face as the two nindroids' embraced on the screen.
"It's over!" Choco screamed, hoping to get her voice higher than the blue ninja's who had suddenly started panicking at the aspect of the mysterious baby being their long lost teacher, Master Wu.
"Turn it down before Jay completely ruptures our ears!" Blossom yelled, lunging to grab the remote from Ruby. The blonde, however, attacked the volume button before Blossom could get to the device and the sound of the TV quickly decreased to zero.
Ruby gave a sheepish grin as the other two shook their heads and settled back down on the sofa. Their peaceful afternoon activity continued – till the front door slammed open and in marched Princess.
"Ladies, girls, sisters, friends and family!" the newcomer announced loudly, beaming at the group sprawled out on the sofa.
"Um, are you okay?" Choco raised an eyebrow at the exceedingly loud enthusiasm of the pink clad girl.
"Right as rain!" Princess exclaimed, a bright smile on her face as she strided up to the trio and snatched the remote from Ruby. The other girls let out indignant scoffs and "hey's!" when the girl switched off the television.
"No! Pixane!"
"We were watching that!"
"Harumi's the Quiet One!"
"And Lucky's the birthday girl," Princess revealed, raising a finger as if explaining something super hard.
This announcement was followed by a silence so heavy, they could almost hear a pin drop somewhere. Then, as if a switch had been turned on, all the other girls jumped up and lunged at Princess, pelting her with question after question.
"What?! When?!"
"Is she mad that we forgot?"
"Where is she?!"
"Happy Birthday, Lucky!"
"Uh . . . Blossom, she's not here."
"Oh, right."
"How old is she turning?"
"Do we have cocoa powder?"
"Forget the cocoa powder! Do we have balloons?"
"We used them all for the hovercraft model."
"Noooooo!"
"CALM DOWN!" Princess roared, coughing afterwards since she was never the one to really use her outside voice. The others shut up abruptly as they waited for Princess to recover from her coughing fit.
"Lucky's gone to the vet with Pudding," Princess explained, redoing her short ponytail. "She won't be back for a long while since she's bound to pass by that old lady, Mrs Noreen's house and you know how she just yanks in every passer by and makes them stay for tea."
"Poor Lucky," Blossom murmured, a pitying look on her face.
The girls could all imagine their little Beanie Boss stuck in a tiny, posh house with an old cat-obsessed woman serving her tea and forcing her to try a thousand different types of cookies all the while telling her boring tales of the past.
"But if Mrs Noreen even does manage to save our skins by stopping Lucky for us, there would still be the issue of the decorations," Blossom remarked, twisting around to look at the rest of the house, hoping that streamers and balloons could just pop up in every corner of their own accord.
"We have nothing for decorations?" Choco grumbled, a look of mother-like disappointment etched on her face.
"Nothing," Princess confirmed, swiping away a few stray popcorn kernels from off the couch before sitting down. "We either use bows and ribbons on Pudding or we blow and burst balloons as a leisure activity."
The girls all stood in silence, pondering on what to do. They didn't think that rushing out now and panic buying balloons and cards was going to solve the problem. There was still cleaning to do, cakes to bake, presents to buy and every other party goal you could name.
Struck with a realization, Ruby snapped her fingers, catching the others' attention. "Guys! Dee and Sage are out shopping for groceries, right? We can tell them to stop by the gift shop on their way back!"
Princess let out a relieved sigh as if a world wide war had ceased to continue. She had completely forgotten that Dee and Sage had left for grocery shopping a mere three hours ago. Though, it would be fair to say that the two had completely forgotten to return home as well.
Let's just assume that the Beanie Buddies were all forgetful silly-billies who would even forget their heads if they weren't attached to their shoulders.
Which is the major reason they buy new socks and a new washing machine every other month because they keep forgetting to take their old socks out of the dryer which somehow end up in the machine's internal mechanism.
Don't ask how. They just do.
"Ruby, call Dee and tell her to buy decorations on her way back with Sage," Princess ordered, getting to her feet with a fresh new determination.
She paced around the room, assigning duties to all the girls as they rushed around in a hurry. "Choco, you're in charge of the cake and food. Blossom, you'll manage clean up. I'll get the presents. Got it?"
"Yes, ma'am!"

"Dee?" Ruby lifted her cellphone to her ear, pacing back and forth in the living room in a desperate manner.
"Hello?" came Dee's inquisitive reply, her voice hard to perceive due to the music playing from her end.
Ruby's forehead wrinkled at the sound and she demanded from Dee on where she and Sage were and why hadn't they come home yet.
"Oh, we got all the groceries," Dee replied as if she had accomplished a great feat. "We're just at the mall buying hoodies."
"Why are you buy– nevermind." Ruby shook her exasperatedly, wincing as she heard Sage in the background fighting with someone over a price tag.
"Look, Dee. Lucky's birthday is today and we need to prepare the house before she comes home from the vet," the blonde elucidated, wringing her hand anxiously.
"I'm following you," came the half distracted reply from the phone.
Ruby continued, peeping out of the window all the while and making sure the birthday girl was not hopping down the road. "But there's one problem. We're out of decorations. We need you to go get some."
"On it. What do you need?"
"Um, let me see," Ruby muttered, resting a finger on her chin in thought. "We need birthday cards, party banners, lots of glitter, wrapping paper – oh, and balloons!"
"Wait? Baboons?!"
"No, not baboons! Balloons!
It was hard to understand what Dee was saying next and the music from her end wasn't helping matters either.
Ruby gave a frustrated growl as she kicked a lonely popcorn kernel on the carpet. "Dee, will you please get out of the hoodie store? There's too much noise!"
That's when she heard Dee yell, "Got it!" before the call dropped.
Ruby threw her arms in the air in defeat as she fell grumbling down on the sofa. "I swear, if this girl gets baboons–"
"OH, COME ON!"
Ruby picked up her head wearily, making a face as Blossom pulled empty chip packet after chip packet from between the sofa cushions. Curious, she got up and removed the cushion she had been sitting on. To her surprise, a cluster of packets jumped from underneath.
Blossom let out a frustrated shriek as she bundle up the trash in her arms while Ruby stood awkwardly to the side.
"Why are there so many chip packets stuffed into the sofa?" the ravenette demanded, expecting no answer from the other girls. "Why are we living like a bunch of guys who have no purpose in life?"
"It's just a little trash," Ruby mumbled with a shrug.
"That's not all!" Blossom bellowed, her right eye twitching. "I even found a shoe box in the vegetable crisper!"
Choco poked her head from out of the kitchen door, lumps of flour in her hair and chocolate smears on her cheeks and chin. "You know, half of the time I don't know what we're even doing with life."
"Well, you're the clean-up freak," Ruby put forth bluntly, busy with texting Princess that she had tried to tell Dee about the decorations. "It's your job to pull out random pieces of garbage from the most random of places."
"Wha . . .?" Blossom breathed out, incredulity written all over her face. She opened and closed her mouth again and again but no words came out.
Ruby and Choco resumed their assigned activities, leaving Blossom to deal with shoe boxes and chip packets on her own.

"Oh my goodness!" Princess groaned as she squeezed through the front door of the Beanie house, loaded down with shopping bags of all sizes. "I never knew bookstores would be so overcrowded even in this illiterate era."
Choco, Ruby and Blossom rushed forward to relieve Princess of the plastic bags as the latter slammed the door shut and leaned against it, trying to catch her breath. She straightened her indigo beanie and glanced around the room, frowning as she found the place devoid of balloons.
"Haven't Dee and Sage returned yet?" she questioned Ruby who shrugged hopelessly in response.
"The good news is that the cake's done," Choco announced as she bounded excitedly into the kitchen. All the other girls assembled in after her, stopping when their eyes landed on the two tier cake topped with purple frosting.
Red roses sat on the round violet surface, nestled between layers of green leaves, while ladybug shaped candies encircled words which seemed to be written with pink buttercream icing, reading:
Happy Birthday
Beanie Boss
Princess squealed in delight, moving over to pat Choco on the back. "Lucky's gonna love that! This is amazing!"
As the girls continued to praise the cake, there came a frantic knock on the door followed by a shout from Sage. Blossom hastily rushed over and yanked open the door only to step back with a short scream.
Sage came running in, making sure to stand at the farthest corner of the room. Blossom stepped back as well, bumping into a horrified Choco while doing so.
"I have no idea why you guys wanted baboons for Lucky's b-day but since Ruby was so desperate, I gave in," Dee declared, grunting as she pulled in a whole cage full of screeching primates that clawed and gnawed at the metal holding them in.
There was only a split second of silence, apart from the monkey noises, before the entire squad screamed in horror, making Dee jump in surprise and the baboons even more hyper.
"What?!" Dee yelled indignantly, her glare pointed at Ruby specifically. "Isn't this what you wanted?"
"Balloons, Dee! I said balloons!"
"Ohhhh," Dee drew out slowly, finally registering the mistake – no – blunder she had made. She grimaced as she twisted around to look at the baboons before turning her sheepish grin back at the girls. "Sorry."
"N-never mind," Princess stammered, gagging at the horrible stench that apparently came from the cage. She hesitantly inched closer to Dee and pulled her away from it all the while telling Sage to phone the animal control centre.

"Home sweet home, Pudding," Lucky smiled, cuddling an apricot cockapoo puppy in her arms as she serenely traipsed up the driveway of the Beanie house.
Pudding yelped in reply, her little pink tongue hanging out while she wagged her tail excitedly. The ravenette hummed a tune, giggling as the puppy nuzzled up against her jacket.
Lucky opened the door, her eyes sparkling with happiness since she was eager to tell the girls that Pudding's check up went well. "Hey, everyone! I'm ba– aaaaaahhhhh!"
Pudding leaped out of Lucky's hold as the girl herself fell back on the concrete porch, struggling to get away from the chaos inside. She let out a shrill scream, rolling over to one side as a baboon dashed past her.
"Lucky?!" came a shocked chorus of voices from inside as the girl in question stumbled to her feet. Her clothes now dusty, her glasses askew and her hair in a disarray, Lucky got hold of Pudding once again and weakly stepped into the house.
"Why are there monkeys hanging from the ceiling?!" she shrieked as the other beanie buddies made an appearance.
"Puddy!" Choco squealed happily as the cockapoo rushed over to her, jumping up and licking her face, the horrifying mess meaningless to her.
"These are actually the balloons for your birthday," Sage smiled meekly, fidgeting her fingers.
"A result of a little misunderstanding on the phone," Ruby completed the answer, giving Dee a sidelong glance.
"My– my birthday?" Lucky sputtered, gazing fearfully at the baboons above.
"Yes," Blossom nodded excitedly while Choco proudly gestured at the table laden with the cake, food, party hats and presents.
"Happy Birthday, Lucky!" the girls sang in unison and clapped, Pudding joining along with her barks and "woofs".
"Uh, my birthday's tomorrow."
An embarrassing silence followed this statement. Even the overhung primates were quiet.
"What?"

In case you were wondering, Pudding is our family pet. I found this adorable cockapoo picture and thought that I had to add in a puppy to the group.
