Chapter IV: Mirror Two

Tyler sighed as he opened the large wooden doors to a short, empty hallway with four doors. Two or three were to stay in one room. So the fourth room was just a storage closet and strangely... All rooms and even the storage closet had a mirror.
He approached one of the doors and it swung open and hit him in the face.
He groaned in pain and heard a facepalm.
   "Sorry dude- Tyler." Carl said.
Tyler rubbed his nose angrily and groaned as he headed for the doors.
He descended down the staircase and heard a feminine scream and looked around.
He heard it come from the other staircase so he rushed down the left staircase and went up the right one and bursted through the doors.
A shy female with green glasses, green braces on her teeth and a braid on her left shoulder yelped as a golden haired and blue eyed female smoked a ciggie and frowned angrily as she let the smoke exit her mouth.
"Stop talking to me about my damn cigarettes, Haley!!!" The blonde exclaimed as her fist clenched as if she were about to hit the poor female. Her icy blue eyes pierced into the soul of the female with green braces.
"Chelsea, I didn't mean it!" The female, 'Haley', yelped.
"You meant it alright! You deluded piece of-"
Tyler stepped in front of 'Chelsea' and the two females looked stunned. Haley blushed embarassedly and Chelsea grew more furious.
"You bastard!!! In the girls' dorms?!" Chelsea exclaimed.
"Forget that!!! You can't just hit another girl." Tyler pointed out. "And she may be right. If you think you're so pretty, don't spoil it with a cigarette."
Chelsea blinked in surprise and then smirked. "I'm more than pretty." She said in a flirty tone.
"Alright. Sure." Tyler said and then looked back at Haley who was blushing vividly. "You okay Haley?"
Haley yelped in surprise and nodded slowly. As if she were a little puppy. All sweet and misunderstood and innocent and oh-so playful.
"Why not stay away from her eh?" Tyler laughed and Chelsea huffed and walked towards a room and slammed the door.
"She's my roommate." Haley whimpered in a soft voice. "I'd really love to be with Celeste or Selene but Chelsea is all I've got."
"Marie then?" Asked Tyler trying to be of some kind of help.
She shook her head shyly and sighed. "She's rowdy and insults me..." she mumbled.
"Tyler! What are you doing here?!" Celeste exclaimed angrily while blushing a deep crimson red. "These are the girls' dorms if you didn't know! It's great to see you but please!" She then pushed him and Tyler laughed and nodded.
He then walked out of the two doors and Jin was there frowning. "You can'tjust waltz inside a girls' dorm. And, they can't enter ours, Tyler."
Tyler nodded in response and went down the long staircase to the center table. The place might be wonderful and the mirrors gave a touch of a whimsical and magical aura. But they also gave off a sinister feeling. As if someone were watching them. Not to mention that every room had a mirror.
But they were just plain mirrors weren't they?
Tyler then sighed irritatedly as his stomach grumbled. The place may seem a little odd and magical but there didn't seem to be a kitchen.
Tyler approached the mirror between the two staircases and tapped the glass once only to feel his whole hand going through. His eyes widened and he quickly pulled his hand back.
He blinked in surprise and tried to kick the mirror and he fell straight through it!
He collapsed on the floor. Again. For what seemed to be the third time.
He grumbled as he got up and realized where he was...
He was...
In the kitchen?
Tyler stood up and brushed his pants as he observed the both regal and slightly modernized kitchen. The floors were once again in the black and  checkers. But there was a fridge on the left wall, several wooden counters engraved with ornate designs and symbols with their countertops made of marble, atop the counters were bowls of cheese or fruits. There was even a coffee maker, a huge stone brick oven, a cauldron atop a fireplace filled with nothing but looked very rustic, and one chandelier lit up the whole kitchen.
He then felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned around quickly.
"Did I forget to tell you that this mirror is like a portal?" A smiley face asked.
"You scared me Celeste. And no, you didn't tell me." Tyler sighed and Celeste nodded at him.
Celeste explained to him that she was looking for Selene and thought she might have been here. But upon entering, she found him instead. Tyler nodded and told her that he hadn't seen her and she whimpered.
"I'll just get some fruit then." She shrugged and then walked towards the refrigerator and opened the door as she hummed. She pulled out a bowl of grapes and smiled as she ate a grape.
Tyler smiled and stole a grape from Celeste and she smirked as he ate it.
Tyler then opened his mouth to say something... And Celeste took the chance to shove two grapes in his mouth. She laughed and giggled as she left Tyler in the room with a goofy smile on his face as he chomped on the grapes.

"What are we going to be doing in here?" Groaned Mars as she kept on tapping one of the mirrors on the round table. "I left my skateboard in the real world!"
"The doors won't open for us anymore. We just have to put up with all this." Jin sighed.
"Boring and very tiring! I just have to talk to Kayla but my mobile doesn't have any signal in this damned place." Chelsea whined.
   "Chelsea-" Haley started.
"Cut it Greeny." Chelsea replied angrily.
They then heard a chuckle. All twelve of them.
Tyler then groaned and burst. "I just want to know what the heck is going on here and why I had to walk through a dark void while clapping in the dark like some kid's game!"
"A child's game you say?" Someone with a, masculine yet pitchy and accented voice asked. He somehow sounded German but didn't really speak it.
All twelve young souls looked among each other trying to figure out which one of them spoke those words. None of them did however.
"Have you never heard someone speak?" The voice asked again.
Tyler scanned the face of his eleven companions and they all had the same worried expressions on their pale faces. Excluding Geoffrey and Selene who only tilted their heads and lightly furrowed their brows in thought. Mars however seemed to be internally losing it.
"There wasn't any vodka or beer in the fridge, I checked! So if I didn't have any shots, then I'm not drunk right?!" Chelsea exclaimed worriedly and out nowhere.
"James!!! Scan the area!!!" Ryan panicked.
While everyone was confusedly about or straight out panicking, Tyler shouted for them all to be quiet and they all gave him a glance.
"Who are you?" He asked as he looked up at the chandelier as if it would answer him.
"Oh? Me?" The voice then chuckled. "I'm just a soul waltzing through the rendevous on a jolly good spring day."
"It's summer." Mars frowned as she crossed her arms.
The voice sighed exasperatedly and then took a deep breath. "I only want you all to play a simple game. You all have very special personalities..." The masculine and somehow German sounding voice then chuckled.
"What kind of personalities exactly?" Haley asked.
"Oh that? You'll learn so much more about each other in the future. And sooner or later, and I mean sooner, you'll learn of each other's weaknesses." The voice said innocently.
Tyler shuddered and shook his head as he crossed his arms. "That tone... It's mischievous."
"Mischief is my game." Mars laughed and looked up as if he were watching them from above. "Got a name Mr. German?"
"Never a daft name of that sort. Just Richard." The voice said as if the twelve had angered him.
"I feel damn drunk alright..." Chelsea grumbled and was about to check her pockets for a ciggie.
"And Chelsea? Do refrain from smoking." The voice said.
"As if." Chelsea said smugly as she pulled out her lighter and a cigarette box.
A clap then filled the room and the cigarette box instantly vanished. Chelsea made a sound of annoyance and checked her pocket and then stomped her foot. "What the he-"
"I wouldn't want you to say 'Auf Wiedersehen' to your fellow teammates now would I? Cheers, love."
"German to British and the other way around..." Tyler grumbled as Chelsea began protesting about her use of cigarettes.
"Damned Haley and Tyler and now you are against my damn capability to freaking smoke at least one cig! One cigarette!" She screamed.
"Calm down you whatsit... Or I'll silence you. Silence you permanently." The voice 'Richard' said in a way that made Chelsea shut up and shiver.
"So what do we do here even?" Tyler asked.
"Well... All you have to do is stay here for one night and I'll reveal everything in the morrow. Ja?" He chuckled.
"We aren't spending a single night here! Ja?!" Marco exclaimed faking a German accent.
"Nein?" Richard asked playfully. "I can't have you denying this offer to experience immense power... Should I?"
"Power?" Ryan asked with glittering eyes.
"You'll learn in the morning, children. Now, Auf Wiedersehen..." Richard said.
   "Hey! Richard!!!" Marco shouted.
Marco received no reply. The twelve looked around and found no trace of anyone else having been there except for them.
"What will we have to do here then?" Celeste asked Selene.
Tyler looked at Celeste and sighed. "We'll have to stay the night then..."

***

Tyler yawned as he shook the sleep out of his eyes and then sighed as he remembered the fact that he wasn't at home.
"Rise and shine youngins. Guten morgen, good morning." Richard's annoying German laugh rang through the room.
Tyler's roommate, Carl, shot up instantly and yelled. "I'M UP, I'M UP!!!"
It turns out that last night, Carl became Tyler's roommate, James was Ryans and Marco, Jin and Geoffrey stayed in the same room. For the girls, Selene and Celeste obviosuly stuck, and Haley and Chelsea had to share a room.
Tyler groaned and went opened the door. The minute he did, he suddenly felt refreshed and wide awake. His clothes seemed to look cleaner and his usual muddy sneakers were spotless!
He mumbled to himself as he opened the door and took no notice of the other males who began to leave their rooms.
Room one however, greeted him brightly and colorfully. The round table was illuminated by the gorgeous crystal chandelier atop it; the aura of the room seemed much more lively. Atop the table were foods of all sorts. Pasta's, salads, roasts, rich cheeses, aged wines and flavorful steaks! Golden bowls were filled with many colorful, ripe, and juicy fruits and berries. Apples, Blueberries, Grapes, Tangerines, Mangoes! Even a... chocolate fountain? There were even twelve silver dining sets just set out for each of them. The whole place seemed to be magic to Tyler!
But... He didn't believe in magic... But for now, he'd supposedly have to?
His mouth began to water as he walked down the stairs and took in the heavenly smell of things. He felt somehow spoiled. But he couldn't help it, could he?
"Good morning, guys!" Celeste laughed as she gushed at the sight of the round table just brimming with food.
As all twelve souls exited their rooms and descended from their staircases, they seemed to be in bright spirits. Just brimming with energy and enthusiasm. Even Marco and Geoffrey seemed to be smiling.
"Ahhhh, the scent of excitement...! Wunderbar! That's just how I want you all to celebrate your morning! Hurry and eat up, you have a long day ahead of you." Richard laughed.
The twelve sat at the table and smiled as they ate and conversed. They dipped their fruits in chocolate, stuffed themselves silly with rich foods, and no matter how much some chose to drink in the morning, they didn't feel drunk or ditzy at all strangely. It was a magical and lovely morning to them indeed.
But as we all know, All good things come to an end.
Tyler breathed out a sigh of relief and as all of them seemed done with the food, it immediately disappeared. It surprised the twelve. But as long as they seemed full, they were sure to forget it.
"Guess we're done here." Mars laughed and then burped loudly.
"Gross... Mars, have some manners." Jin sighed.
"Common etiquette, you martian." Ryan agreed.
Mars shrugged it off and Richard once again spoke. "I suppose none of you have seen the new room yet?" Richard chuckled.
   "New room?" Tyler asked.
All twelve souls looked around and then Tyler noticed that...
"There are two mirror doors now?!" Tyler exclaimed as he quickly stood up from his chair and pointed at the mirrors between the staircases.
The others stood up and they heard Richard clapping and laughing. "Why don't you all try entering?"
Tyler nodded and walked forward cautiously and stood in front of the mirror. He then slowly placed a hand on the glass and then it went through... and he suddey was being dragged inside!!!
He yelled as his arm wouldn't be pulled out and the others ran to help him and Ryan screeched in agony.
Celeste wrapped her arms around Tyler's waist and pulled and grit her teeth while forcing herself to hold on. Mars did the same and Carl grabbed onto Mars' shoulders.
It was almost a game of tug-of-war. And when all twelve were a chain, the force pulled them all in the mirror.
