Chapter I: Tyler
A young, brown haired lad named Tyler slowly got out of bed and yawned as he looked out the window.
He groaned as the sun blinded him and as he heard the birds chirpring merrily. He however, wasn't feeling as merry as the somgbirds outside.
Tyler turned off his bedside lamp amd stretched his arms up, only to feel his veins throb in a little pain after his late night gaming session with his friend.
He grunted as he felt the feeling of shirt stuck to him and picked at the particular spots. He shook his head and chose to ignore the sticky feeling and looked down on his bedside table to reach for his phone yet he noticed a paper airplane beside his phone... He didn't remember leaving the window open for someonw to throw one in... And he didn't remember folding a paper airplane either...
'Strange...' he thought.
He picked up the paper airplane and saw strange ink blots on it. He then uncreased it to see words scrawled on the paper. The handwriting was somehow unruly and left a few ink blotches here and there but the writings were readable.
Redwood Avenue. House No. 26. Be here.
The letter read. Tyler sighed thinking it was a prank by one of his friends. After playing on his computer for several hours on end last night, they might have wanted to wske him up with a scare.
'But they wouldn't be that kind to do that.' Tyler smirked to himself and shook the sleep out of his eyes and yawned once more.
He decided to freshen up and then to visit the address as soon as possible
'Who knows?' He thought. 'I'll only know if I go.'

'Is this a joke?' Tyler thought. He let out a groan as he looked at the building before him then at the note. He grumbled and stuffed the paper in his pocket for safekeeping.
The building was a gated, and large torn-down mansion. Tyler held the iron bar gates then realized they were rusty and wiped the rust on his pants.
The gate however seemed to be unlocked. He then felt a chill go up his spine yet he chose to ignore the eerie feeling as he pushed the gate. The annoying sound of old, scratchy metal and the vines atop the gates rustling got on Tyler's nerves.
He then rubbed his hands together and took a deep breath as he went through the gate of the building. It was almost in conplete ruins... He began to wonder why the government didn't tear it down or sell the lot.
'But who would want to buy a wreck like this?'
The building's cement walls were broken and chipped, the wooden support beams and pillars were rotting, ivy, moss, and vicious weeds grew on almost any surface, and most of the stained-glass windows seemed to have been smashed and only very few looked untouched.
As Tyler continued walking, he then heard a crack and looked beneath his feet. He had stepped on a twig. He then began to notice that the garden he was walking in was full of weeds and thorns... and a few scattered dolls and doll parts lay on the grass.
He shivered at the thought of a beheaded Barbie and continued to walk towards the house.
The two large doors at the entrance themselves were rotting as well and the rusty, metallic, lion head knockers gazed at him as if telling him to leave their property.
Tyler shook his head violently. He couldn't be scared.
His nerves were sent flaring and every part of him wanted to make a run for it and forget about the creepy house and the strange paper airplane note. Yet there he stood. In front of the door. Almost frozen in place.
He then slowly reached his right hand out for one of the lion head knockers and knocked on the door. He was surprised that the fragile looking wood didn't break with just that one knock.
He pushed the door and was enveloped by clouds of dust. He coughed and fanned the dust away with his hand and breathed in and out.
The sunlight that entered from the doorways and the broken windows only illuminated a small area of the mansion. The sunlight showed fallen candelabras and cracked black and white diamond tiles.
"Hey! Anyone in there?!" Tyler shouted. The words he spoke echoed for quite a while and started sending a chill up his spine once more. To him, this meant that this mansion had long hallways or the first room itself could take up a large area.
He took a deep breath and then slowly walked through the doorway. With every step, even the small and cautious ones, his footsteps would echo.
He continued to slowly walk forward. And when he felt as if he were in the middle of the room, the door shut swiftly and the room became pitch black.
"Hey!!!" He shouted. He looked around trying to find even a small source of light. He remembered that the windows were broken and open! If they were open, then why would the room be pitch black?!
He panicked internally and called for help once. He looked around frantically and made a sound of annoyance.
He then heard a clap and looked around quickly with his head beginning to run rampant with thought and his fists clenching slowly.
"Who did that?!" He exclaimed in the darkness.
He checked his pocket for his phone to use the flashlight in a hurry and realized that he forgot to take it with him this morning. He made a noise of anger and heard another clap.
"Who are you?!" He exclaimed.
And yet another clap sounded through the desolate, dark, room. He began to feel more enraged and wanted to consider running forward with hope that he'd touch a wall, something helpful or even anyone. But he soon thought that it would be dangerous to run forward without thinking.
But it wouldn't hurt if he tried just once. Right?
Tyler then ran to the left and couldn't find any walls and could only hear his own footsteps. Not even the fallen candelabras could be seen.
'I know this is a mansion, but this feels more like an empty void!' He thought.
He then heard that infuriating clap again.
He then felt the urge to clap but then thought about it... He then clapped since he felt like he had no other options.
As soon as he clapped, a light appeared in the distance. He ran towards the light and the light engulfed and temporarily blinded him as he continued running through it. Tyler then lost his balance and stumbled to the ground on his knees and his hands. It was then that he heard the laughter of a girl.
He blinked several times before regaining his vision and realized that the floor was black and white in a checkered pattern once again.
He breathed out a shaky sigh of relief and then heard a feminine voice...
"Another one?"
