Sleepovers, truth or dare and finding out
THEY'RE EIGHTEEN BECAUSE I KINDA WANNA MAKE MARI AND ADRIEN GET SLIGHTLY DRUNK
ALSO SWEARING INNOCENT BEBES LEAVE NOW
This was originally much fluffier and more innocent, but I can't be bothered rewriting it again.
Marinette had no clue how she ended up at Alya's house with Nino and Adrien for a sleepover, but here she was, watching a bunch of movies with her best friends while in her cat shirt. She was sprawled face down on the couch while they watched Deadpool, cracking up at the stupid jokes. Adrien was even trying out some of the pickup lines on Marinette, wiggling his eyebrows as she rolled her eyes and pushed his face away.
"Oh my god, did he just make a jab at the studio?!" Marinette chocked on her drink of Mountain Dew. Soft drinks before 8 pm, then alcohol was allowed was the rule at sleepovers. "Will they not let me breath?!"
Adrien, from his place on the floor, smirked up at her. "Maybe you should stop drinking." She knew what was coming. "Or are you thirsty?" He got an empty Cola can tossed at his head, wincing slightly because Marinette had very good aim.
"Agreste, I swear to god, I will murder you in your sleep." Playful venom lacing her tone, she narrowed her eyes at him.
He grinned. "Does that mean you'll be watching me sleep?"
This time, he got a pillow to the face.
His voice muffled by his face pressed into the pillow, he put his thumb up. "Smells like you, so I'm okay with this."
A stuffed toy.
"Why is our relationship so abusive?"
"For the love of god, someone duct tape his mouth shut!" Marinette exclaimed exasperatedly, rolling her eyes, but at the same time grinning. Turning her attention back to the movie, she snickered. "He forgot the guns, of course."
Nino looked over at the two, bemused amusement on his face. Alya had an identical look, albeit upside-down from where she lay on her chair. They glanced at each other, back at Marinette and Adrien, back at each other and grinned.
Alya got up, sneaking behind Marinette, and pushed her off the couch before getting a drink. Marinette let out a surprised squeak as she rolled onto the floor, blanket tangled around her body and eyes wide. She ended up landing on top of Adrien, legs crossing and faces an inch away.
He grinned his Cheshire cat grin. "Well hi there."
She gave him a smirk. And leaned forward ever so slightly until their noses were brushing and he was getting flustered. "You got a little something on your cheek." She murmured, noting how his eyes dropped to her lips and he gulped. "Oh wait, you're just blushing." With that, she rolled off him and onto her back beside him, a laugh escaping her mouth.
Adrien scowled. His recent attempts to coax the shy girl out of her shell and raise her confidence around him had proven successful - however, his tiny, infinitesimal crush on her had blossomed once he got to know the incredible girl. One of her many unforeseen traits was that she was a giant tease.
It was his job to tease! Well, to flirt and make puns.
Alya giggled at the two, Adrien staring with an unamused expression across his face at the roof, Marinette rolled on her stomach and watching the movie, popcorn held between her teeth before she tossed it up in the air and caught it in her mouth. The brunette snorted at that.
"Show off." She nudged Marinette's foot with her own, earning a lazy grin.
"Anything you can do, I can do better!" She started singing, her voice pitch-perfect and sweet. Capturing the boys' attention, Alya placed a hand on her hip. "I can do anything better than you!"
Alya scoffed, playing into their performance. "No you can't." Her voice was a stark contrast it Marinette's, being as low as hers was high.
"Yes I can!"
"No you can't!"
"Yes I can!" At this point, Marinette had jumped to her feet and stood in front of Alya, back perfectly straight.
"No, you can't!"
"Yes I can, yes I can!" Marinette twirled away, arms outstretched. Alya rolled her eyes, a grin tugging at her lips.
"Anything you can be, I can be greater! Sooner or later, I'm greater than you." Alya kept up with the lyrics, this time letting the smile overtake her face. This song was always so much fun.
"No you're not!"
"Yes I am."
"No you're not!"
"Yes I am!"
"No, you're not!"
"Yes I am, yes I am!" Alya was pretty sure Nino and Adrien were gaping at the two, who were randomly singing, no, performing a song. Sending a wink to Marinette, she stood tall and proud, folding her arms. "I can shoot a partridge, with a single cartridge!"
Marinette returned the wink and trilled in her lovely voice. "I can get a sparrow, with a bow and arrow!"
"I can live on bread and cheese-"
"And only on that?"
"Yes!"
"So can a rat!"
"Any note you can reach, I can go higher!"
"I can sing anything higher than you!"
"No you can't."
"Yes I can." This bit was always were Alya ran short, because she was an alto, while Marinette could hit low and high notes easily.
"No you can't!"
"Yes I can!"
"No you can't!"
"Yes. I. Caaaaaaaaaan!" Marinette hit that note. She actually hit it. Well, that's what went through Adrien and Nino's heads while Alya smirked.
"Wanna stop there, Mari? We'll go on for ages if we don't." Alya slung an arm around her friend, who giggled.
"Yeah, sure. What do you wanna do now, Frank?" Marinette nudged her with her hip, a smile gracing her pretty face. Alya rolled her eyes.
"Okay Annie Oakley, how about truth or dare?"
Instantly the blunette's face drained and her eyes widened. "Oh heavens no."
"Oh heavens yes!" Nino pumped a fist and cheered. "Judging by that reaction, we need to!"
Marinette groaned and rested her face in her hands. "I had a bad experience last time Alya and I played truth or dare."
Adrien looked up at her with a grin. "What'd you do?"
"Alya made me dress up in a Chat Noir inspired outfit and go out to get ice-cream." Her voice, while muffled by her hands, was heard loud and clear. Alya snickered, Nino barked with laughter and Adrien's grin became very flirtatious and teasing.
"You in skin-tight leather? I'd pay to see that."
Yet another pillow was thrown at him, this one smelling of vanilla. Which still smelled like Marinette.
"Alya! Truth or dare!" He sat up abruptly immediately after being hit with the pillow, causing Marinette to giggle cutely. Alya rolled her eyes again.
"Dare. I ain't a chicken!"
Marinette and Adrien yelled simultaneously. "Dare you to kiss Nino!" They fist-bumped as the two dared flushed red and shuffled slightly. After a murmured 'We'll be right back,' Alya and Nino walked into another room to Adrien and Marinette's victorious smirks.
"They'll thank us later." Marinette said before stretching the slightest. Adrien nodded but his eyes were drawn to the line of smooth, pink skin above the waistband of her shorts that had been revealed when she lifted her arms.
"Yup." His voice came out as a hoarse whisper, making her stare at him, eyebrow raised as he coughed violently. She was well aware of his developed crush on her. She just had way too much fun teasing him.
"So, what do you wanna do?" Marinette walked back over to the couch and crashed down on it, grabbing a bottle of vodka and taking a swig. Adrien raised an eyebrow.
"Thought it was too early to be drinking." He said with a slight smirk, watching as she made a 'do-i-care' face.
"It's Friday night. I have all weekend to deal with any hangovers." She winced at the audible sound of something hitting the floor. "I have a feeling they aren't coming out any time soon."
Adrien nodded again, a disgusted look on his face. "I know we're sick of all the sexual tension between the two, but did we really have to do this when we have to sleep in the same house as them?"
The blunette shrugged and took another drink of her alcoholic drink. Adrien decided he didn't care anymore, and took a vodka for himself. If she was getting drunk, so was he, so he could blame all his actions on being drunk.
As soon as the liquor finished burning down his throat and his mind grew ever so slightly fuzzy, he wiped his mouth and turned to her. "Truth or dare, Mari?"
"Truth. I'm not doing dares while I'm still sober." She hung her head over the armrest, resulting in her looking at him upside down with a heart-stopping smile. Adrien, while his heart sped up, pondered a question before settling on the easiest one.
"Biggest secret you've never told anyone?"
Her smile slipped off her face and she looked away, expression somber. "I don't know if I can tell you that."
He noticed the drop of mood in the atmosphere and tried to lighten it up. "Hey, if you tell me, I'll tell you my biggest secret and you'll have leverage to use against me so I don't spill!" She glanced at him, noting that he was completely serious underneath that smile, and nodded.
"Okay. Two conditions - don't freak out." Oh lord, she was going to regret this. The alcohol was affecting her common sense already. He was going to hate her. Why was she doing this? "Two- don't tell anyone, not even Nino or Alya." He nodded. She was completely screwed because the words tumbled out of her mouth before she could give them a second thought. "I'm Ladybug."
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Adrien slapped his forehead when Marinette's head jerked to stare at him, eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. "All this time, you were right fucking behind me? And I fell for you TWICE?!"
Her jaw dropped. "What do you mean you fell for me twice?!"
"I'm Chat Noir!"
"WHAT?!"
"I KNOW RIGHT?!"
"We are such idiots."
"True."
"... Truth or dare, Adrien?"
"Dare."
"Dare you to kiss me."
"With pleasure."
This turned out a lot funnier than I originally wrote it to be, so I'm happy.
