also guys i'm just gonna swear in these, they're meant to be funny/cute and if you are innocent, please don't use these words around your parents. Or adults in general. That'll get you in trouble, and it's best to just use them in the safety of your room, empty house, school or just your head. Stay safe kids

that says dan and phil but imma use it as a prompt (even tho phan is totally real those two nerds are totally secretly married)(no they're not unless they tell us they are we should respect them and their decisions)

Wow.

Adrien really went all out with the decorations.

Cobwebs, fake spiders, pumpkins, candles, lots of orange and black, even a Grim Reaper statue.

"Adrien, when I said you could decorate the house, I didn't mean turn it into a full fucking graveyard." Marinette said with a half-smile, staring at the fake graves surrounded by... was that her cotton? Her cotton that she had specifically bought to make a plush quilt? "You used my cotton."

"Yeah."

"Did I say you could use my cotton?"

"Yeah."

"No I didn't."

"That's why I asked Tikki."

Marinette groaned and flopped on their couch, tucking her sore feet underneath her. "You can't just ask my kwami about something that's mine!"

"I know. That's why I asked Tikki where you bought it and bought some more."

Adrien leaned on the back of the couch with a lazy grin on his face, eyes travelling over his beautiful girlfriend as she shot him an unimpressed look. "You little shit." She scowled as he jumped over the back over the couch to settle beside her. With a sigh, she snuggled into his chest, smiling as his arm wound its way around her and pulled her close. "So, while the all the kids in Paris are trick or treating what spooky thing shall we do?"

Adrien clicked his tongue. "Nope, you've made me play every spooky game you can think of, today I'm picking."

Marinette groaned dramatically, flopping over him. "Fiiiiine."

"We're going to play one of the scariest games known to man."

"Is it a game we've played before?"

"I don't think so, but I bought it before you came home."

"What is it?"

"...Scrabble."

Marinette groaned again, much less dramatically and more with disappointment. "Seriously?"

"Scrabble is a terrifying word game, Marinette. You can't just joke about something like this." Adrien grinned, standing up and padding over to a bag that was sitting on the counter top. "Come on, let's play Scrabble!"

~*~

"Is 'bibliopole' even a word?" Marinette whined as Adrien set down six letters to extend her word 'pole'.

"Yup! It's what you call a person who buys and sells books, especially rare ones." Adrien declared smugly, collecting his new tiles. "Triple word score, that means... 45 points all together!"

"Ugh... you're too good at this."

"Ah, Mari, queen of video games, I am the king of board and arcade games." He smiled teasingly, sipping his hot chocolate.

Crash!

Marinette shot up. "What was that?!"

Adrien shot her a cautious look. "Probably... just thunder."

Marinette stood up and walked to a window to look outside. "It isn't raining."

Adrien stood up too, moving carefully towards the closet door in which they kept items that they could fight with without revealing their identities. "You don't need rain for thunder."

"Pretty sure you need clouds, though." Marinette let out a low, cat-like growl and practically teleported beside him to grab a yo-yo they stored in there.

"Marinette, make that noise again and I will be tempted to forget about the possibility of an intruder." Adrien shot her a look as he grabbed a broom.

"Sorry." She threw him a dazzling smile, which was not at all as distracting as the growl. "Let's go check it out."

Together, they scoped out the house, quiet as mice, sneaking around to try and identify what made the noise. All their old, unneeded superhero instincts came rushing back with the adrenaline.

Crash! Clatter!

"There it is again. I think it came from the attic." Marinette whispered to Adrien, back to the wall.

"Right. I'll watch your back." He murmured in her ear, before adding to himself, "And your back is a very nice view." Marinette nodded, Ladybug mode on and ignoring his looks at her rear end.

"Eyes off the goods, tomcat." Or maybe she wasn't ignoring him.

She crept up the ladder to the dusty attic filled with terrible designs (terrifying) and every single picture and letter Chloe wouldn't stop bothering them with (perhaps even more terrifying).

"Jeez, it's spooky up here." Adrien commented suddenly beside her, causing her to jump and slap a hand over his mouth.

"Shh!" Eyes wide, she carefully moved away and towards where the sound seemed to have come from. Side by side, they advanced on the rustling noise...

Kicked away a box to see...

Plagg. With his head stuck in a round box.

Marinette groaned and dropped her yoyo, pulling the box off the kwami's head. "Plagg! You scared us half to death!"

"Her! Her! I wasn't scared!"

"You were too, scaredy cat!"

"No I wasn't! Plagg, c'mon, let's get out of here before the wicked witch of the west decides to turn us into her flying monkeys!"

"ADRIEN GERTRUDE AGRESTE GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!"

ba daaaaaaa

now that that's over

oh yeah CHRISTMAS BITCHES

Every year it was special.

Marinette's family just loved to come together every Christmas Day, and boy, was it a big family. Christmas lunch was obligatory, and with bakers and cooks in the family, the food was always to die for. The decorations were always sparkling, and the presents always thoughtful.

Marinette liked to think this year's would one of the best, as she was spending it with Adrien.

Well, the weeks coming up to it with him, then she was dragging him with her to meet her family after the awful 'introducing you to my father, aunt and cousin Felix' thing he did where it was a simple hello and goodbye. And a whole lot of icy looks. Like, come on. Does everyone on Gabriel's side of the family have cold blue eyes? You'd think one of 'em was Elsa.

But, the more she looked at it, the more she realised how much she really did adore her partner and best friend.

She had been setting up their Christmas tree, standing on a ladder (because she was so short, as Adrien liked to tease) when she fell into the tree. That had made him laugh like a hyena while he tried to pull her out of the branches. When she'd emerged, she'd had bristles in her knotty hair and scratches across her rosy face, and he called her beautiful.

Day after, she'd been up front decorating the house with fairy lights when she's slipped on stray snow and fell off her ladder. Adrien had caught her, made a joke about her falling for him and brought her inside for hot chocolate.

And so, she reminisced about the past month while she sat in her room, embroidering by hand a present for her mother, a new cloth with the bakery's logo on it.

~*~

"Silent night, holy night. All is calm, all is bright."

Her soft voice could be heard through the walls, beautiful and gentle and passionate as the woman herself. Adrien delighted in hearing her sing, it was truly an experience.

"Round yon Virgin mother and child. Holy infant so tender and mild."

Her voice could always lull him to sleep, always could soothe his anger and depression after Father going too far...

"Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace."

...She sounded so much like his mother.

How he missed her so.

But... that hole in his heart, that missing piece... it felt like it was filled by...

"Silent night, holy night. Shepherds quake, at the sight. Glories stream from heaven afar, heavenly hosts sing 'hallelujah!'"

He smiled.

"Christ the Saviour is born, Christ the Saviour is born."

By her of course.

By his lady, his Princess, his love of his life...

"Silent night, holy night. Son of God, love's pure light. Radiant beams from Thy holy face, with the dawn of redeeming grace."

By his Marinette.

"Jesus, at Thy birth. Jesus at Thy birth."

For now, he'd just let himself be lost in her voice...

"Silent night, holy night. All is calm, all is bright..."

~*~adrien's dream~*~

"...Round yon Virgin mother and child, holy infant so tender and mild."

Her vibrant green eyes warm and loving, gazing down at him as she stroked his forehead. Her blonde hair fell from her messy plait, her sharp jawline softened by her smile.

"Sleep in heavenly peace..."

His eyes drooped, her smile etched into his eyelids and in his own lips.

"Sleep in heavenly peace..."

~*~depressingly beautiful shit over now back to the fluffy fluff~*~

Another thing Adrien completely adored about Marinette was how well she fit against him. Tucked under his arm, curled up at his side, everything was perfect with her.

Especially pulled up against his chest, joyfully dancing around the room.

"Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock!" She would merrily sing along, laughing as they swung and stepped to the fast paced song.

"All I want for Christmas is you!" He would cheesily sing along, pointing to the woman he was so infatuated with.

Waltzing slowly, her head resting against his chest, his chin resting upon her crown, stepping forward and back with their hands together and arms around each other like the perfect couple staying back at the end of prom to have one last dance as the rest of the grade filed out into the night to the peaceful sound of Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling In Love late at night. Her celestial eyes closed, his eyes only for her as he softly sang along.

"Wise men say, only fools rush in. But I can't help falling in love with you." He would place a kiss against her hair and just hold her in his arms.

Oh why? 'Cause that's Christmas to me.

He loved the girl. And just being with her was the best present of all.

AHHH SO MUCH CUTE PLS STOP HEART YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO FANGIRL AT YOUR OWN WRITING

okay now on to what I think is going to be one of my favourites (who am I kidding I'm a sucker for Christmas)

Fireworks were always Marinette's favourite thing to watch.

The colours sparkling in the sky, every hue reflected in the calm waters of the Seine, the sounds filling the air and crackling in her ears as the lights flashed in her eyes. The eyes of her father and mother and the flowers from the flower shop across the street and the leaves from the trees in the park all colliding in the air like a cacophony of instruments all playing the different parts but sounding the same. The drum beat of Jagged Stone's performance softer than her heartbeat that she felt in her feet and her head.

She was here, on the Love Lock Bridge with her best friends. She picked out a firework that fit all their personalities.

Alya, a fiery red firework that made the loudest sound and had the biggest presence. Impossible to ignore, but who would want to? She was so vibrant, so energetic and enthusiastic, she knew where she was going and she was going off with a bang. She made noise, she was known, and everybody loved her feisty personality.

Nino, a bright green firework popping off into so many different worlds that it was impossible to follow him. He had so many inspirations, so many innovations, so many ideas all going off on different tangents, yet he was so relaxed and laid-back. He knew what to say and when to say it, the peace-keeper of their little group, but when he got going, it was impossible to stop him.

And Adrien... a shimmering blue firework exploding in one big circle.

You see, blue is an unpredictable colour. One moment it can be dark, brooding, angry and depressing. The next, it's light and playful, happy. Other times it can be deep, content, appreciative and thankful. And even then, that isn't the extent of it.

Adrien was like that. He was so, so full of emotions and secrets and different sides that nobody knew his true personality - but then again, what is your true personality? Is it who you are when you're alone, if so, who will ever know? And the sphere represented the globe, so huge and incomprehensible, and so much unexplored, so much like him.

... Apparently, tonight, he was scared.

"Adrien?" Marinette placed a hand on his arm, concerned eyes on him, ignoring the fireworks. "What's wrong?"

Adrien tried a shaky smile. "Loud noises, they just... remind me of..." His voice cracked when another firework went off before he could finish the sentence.

Marinette smiled comfortingly. "Hey, it's alright. You don't need to explain, I'm here for you."

He shuddered. "I just wish I had something to distract me before the midnight fireworks start up."

Her ears picked up on the countdown starting, the whole world counting down until the new year rolled in. (Thank god for that, right? The shittiest year in existence would finally be over.) A wicked grin overtook her smile.

"Oh, I got something that'll distract you." She counted under her breath.

"Really? Wha-mmphf!" His sentence was cut off abruptly at the feeling of lips pressed against his. Green, almost glowing eyes, wide with astonishment and the tips of his ears red, he stared at the girl kissing him. Marinette. Marinette Dupain-Cheng. His very good friend with whom he had never imagined sharing his first ki- well, perhaps. Eventually, he accepted it wholeheartedly as his eyes slid closed, enjoying the feeling of her against him and subconsciously slipping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.

The moment she tried to pull away, Adrien followed her lips, capturing them again with a low growl. She hummed in return, grinning into the kiss as he tilted her head slightly to get a better angle. In those impossibly long seconds, there was no one, absolutely no one except them and the little space remaining between them. The noises quietened, the movements slowed, it was only Adrien and Marinette. No... no crushes or unrequited loves or pining or pretending, just them.

And when the fireworks, both outside and inside his head, finished going off, Adrien was left dazed and glossy-eyed.

Marinette looked up shyly at him through her lashes, a rosy tint on her cheeks and lip gloss looking very messy, as well as her hair, but she still looked beautiful, glowing in the lights. "Happy New Year's, Adrien."

He chuckled. "Happy New Year's." The words barely left his mouth before he dove right back in for another kiss in the birth of a new year.

VOILA

Hope you guys liked those! I sure did, and whoo. Was it tiring to write. Anyway, I'll be publishing this on Monday morning (ugh), and I have a test also on Monday (scariest Halloween yet)... but it feels nice. Do you know those days when you can taste the heat in sort of... melting eucalyptus? No? Probably because you don't have eucalyptus trees anywhere but Australia.

Anyway, what are you guys going for Halloween? I don't do Halloween, never have, but I wanna know how much fun you guys are gonna have!

Spooky tip: go as Donald Trump
