Tell me if you notice my subtle reference to the umbrella scene ~(˘▾˘~) there are actually so many references to all my favourite stuff in here, try and find them all.

this is gonna be so long i can already tell, sorry for the wait guys! Strong language. Be warned, children.

~*Story Begins Now*~

Marinette sighed, gazing out her window, the wind brushing through her loose locks and blowing her curtain back towards her sleeping siblings. Felix and Bridgette were sound asleep after her bedtime story, but she wasn't. She was too awake, too... restless. Marinette looked back at her AmuSphere and a smile worked onto her face.

A run through the virtual world never hurt. (snickers)

"Link start!"

Marinette opened her eyes to see her world of wonders, magic and a quaint little house on the top of a hill. She grinned, stretched out her arms, and brought up her menu to check if any of her friends were online.

Huh. Practically everyone she knew were online. What a coincidence

A crash and a thump reached her ears, making her wince. Her head jerked towards the sound, dashing to the edge of the hill to peer down the valley. What was that? Is that a... person? Being chased by... rainbow... spots?

"GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU FIENDS!!" The voice, undoubtedly feminine, screamed at the spots. but the sound was no louder than if a cat meowed, and certainly more muffled. "AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY GET AWAY FROM MY BROTHER TOO."

"GEE, THANKS, MAE! NICE TO KNOW YOU CARE!" A new voice, this one younger and masculine, sounded extremely sarcastic and annoyed. Marinette furrowed her brow, tilting her head confusedly.

"What is happening?" She mumbled before equipping her sword and sliding down the hill with a battle cry.

The girl, probably Mae, turquoise hair cropped close to her head, turned to look at her with a shocked gaze, unique and slightly strange looking rainbow eyes sparkling with confusion. Soon after seeing Marinette's determined gaze, she lit up and grinned. "Yo Ander, I think we got backup!"

"Great! Tell them to get these thing to just LET ME GO!"

Mae rolled her eyes. "Geez, calm your pants. I've got you." She seemed to equip a... bazooka? And shot... a pig pooping rainbows at what now looked like a bunch of different coloured... worms? Whatever they were, they burst away from something, leaving a boy with green hair lying on the ground panting.

"KILL IT, KILL IT, KILL IT!!" He shouted frantically at his sister, who had unequipped the bazooka and replaced it with a a javelin or a spear or something, which she threw straight at a single gem sparkling in the centre of the mass of wriggling limbs.

"Bullseye!" Mae cheered as the weapon pierced the stone, causing the creature to shriek and explode into glittery iridescent goo.

The two siblings turned to look at each other, both covered in the goo, and burst out laughing.

Marinette sheathed her sword and looked on amusedly, watching as the boy slapped his sister on the back, both of them howling. Tears were practically running down their faces, although to what was so funny, she had no clue. Mae glanced towards her, her laugh fading into chuckles. "Thanks anyway, friend, but I guess we didn't need your help after all."

Marinette lifted a hand, a smile on her face. "No problem. I just signed in, and you kinda almost shook my house down. Not every night you can't sleep and someone screams."

Ander's face gradually grew more confused until Mae folded her arms with a half-smile. "She's in a different time-zone, Ander. Not everyone lives in the same country as us."

"I know!" He said indignantly, pouting slightly. "I just... haven't met anyone like that before."

"That's because you always use private servers with your friends." She teased him. He frowned and pushed her head away from him. "Anyway, I'm Mae and this is my little brother Ander."

"I only younger than you by two years!"

"That still makes you littler than me." She grinned and leaped away from him, earning an infuriated shout from him as he tried to catch her.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Marine-"

BRI I I I I I I I ING

Mae jumped immediately and jerked her hands into a karate pose, face set in a startled gaze. Ander burst out laughing, and Marinette couldn't help but giggle as well as she answered Alya's call.

"Yo, girl! What's u- who're they?" Alya, in her ridiculous fair-elf form that everyone used, as decided on by the class, stared at the two strangers who had activated their wings and were flying around, looking like they were playing tag.

Mae perked up, looking towards Alya's confused face, and pushed her brother away, flitting to hover just behind Marinette. "We almost shook her house down, but that's okay, because we didn't and ended up covered in rainbow glitter goo! Isn't just great to embrace your inner gay?" She grinned at Alya's muffled laughter. "I'm Mae, that dude over there is Ander, my brother! We're... the Wonder Twins! Except we're not twins... Wonder siblings?"

Alya broke out into laughter, bringing a curious Nino into view. Mae was smirking proudly, fluttering away on her back while Marinette was chuckling underneath her breath. "Hey dudinette, who's the new chick? And the dude?" He frowned in confusion. "And why are they... glittery?"

"What even was that monster?" Marinette turned to look at Mae, who tapped her chin.

"Pretty sure it was a rainbow worm or something-"

"It was a Dreamscape Snake! Super rare, and this glittery stuff it actually a very effective healing elixir, so Mae, get at least some of it into a bottle!" Ander popped up out of nowhere, startling Mae again. She grumbled and began to scrape off some of the goo into a jar. Ander looked satisfied and continued. "Should also have dropped pretty decent armor, you're splitting it with me later! So, I'm Ander, that dork is my sister Mae, and we... are really late!"

Mae once more jerked, but this time to bring up her menu and wince at the amount of messages. "Oh god, Brodie's gonna be so mad at me! We are so, so late! See ya around, strangers!" She waved a few times before teleporting. "Teleport, 22nd floor!" Ander rolled his green eyes and sent a friend request to Marinette.

"I'll get Mae to send you one later. She tends to do things... a little impulsively. Anyway, nice to meet you!" He waved with a grin and teleported to the same floor Mae went to.

Marinette accepted the request before addressing her friends. "They were an... interesting pair of siblings." She giggled a little. "Anyway, what's up, elves?"

"Okay, just because you refused to be one of us, does not mean you get to call us that." Alya rolled her eyes. "Anyway, we found a dungeon. We're gonna go at it in the morning, wanna join?"

Marinette sighed. "Can't, I gotta work in the bakery tomorrow. Sorry, I just signed in because I couldn't sleep." A yawn fought its way out of her mouth, a tired smile curling on her lips. "But I think that problem's solved. Must be those two's energy."

"If they were here, I'd be exhausted too." Alya chuckled. "Anyway, you should head off to bed, if you're that tired. We'll meet up tomorrow or something." She saluted as Nino waved. "Catch ya later, Mar!"

"Night, guys!" Marinette smiled as their faces disappeared. She suppressed another yawn before bringing down the menu once more to log out.

And woke up faced with a mysterious blond boy staring eagerly at her not six inches away from her face.

Any logical person would've screamed, but not her, simply because her siblings were fast asleep.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my house?"

The blond boy blinked before smirking, teeth sparkling. "My shadow escaped! I tracked it your house, and saw you with this weird thing on your head! Plagg thought you were dead, so I wanted to check." He lifted up and stuck a hand out. "I'm Adrien, Adrien Agreste!"

Cautiously, Marinette placed her small, slender hand in his and allowed him to pull her up. "I'm Marinette, and... your shadow... escaped?" She frowned in befuddlement, glancing down to look for his shadow, and immediately gasped in startled shock. "You're flying!"

He nodded. "Yeah, I am. I can fly. You can't?"

Her hands flew to her mouth and she shook her head rapidly. "No, I can't! Nobody can! It's... it's impossible.

He grinned, green eyes shining like they held a million stars within. "Guess I'm impossible too. You must be dreaming, right? Or maybe it's me who's dreaming, because an angel like you can't be real."

Marinette's shimmering blue eyes widened in surprise, a light blush coating her cheeks as he smirked again. "U-uh, I-I'm n-no-not r-really th-that p-pretty, b-b-but thanks?"

"You're so cute. I should keep you." He tapped her nose before leaning backwards, flipping through the air, leaving a very confused, blushing Marinette. "Plagg! Where are you?"

A black blur zipped through the air, whizzing around Marinette. "I didn't find the shadow, but this one's cute! Her eyes are so big, like a bug! What's your name, Bug?"

Marinette blinked to see a small floating black cat in front of her face, green eyes so alike to Adrien's, glittering with mischief and wonder. "Flying black cat... sure, why not?" She muttered, pressing a hand to her head. "Am I coming down with something...?"

Plagg grinned. "Yes, you are definitely delirious. And that's why this hurts!" He swooped down and... bit her arm?! She jumped with a yelp, wincing and dabbing at the blood that now beaded at two puncture points.

"Why would you do that?!" She whisper-yelled, staring with a mixture of confusion and hostility, cradling her arm. Adrien groaned and slapped his forehead.

"Oh no, Plagg, you're not meant to bite living creatures! Remember what happened last time?" He scolded the magical cat, who immediately froze and too, groaned.

"What happened last time?" Marinette asked fearfully, blue eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights.

"He fell in love with the thing he bit, which happened to be a tree. Pretty sure he only snapped out of it when the tree was cut down."

Marinette sucked a breath in, watching Plagg twitch in his frozen state. "I am trying my hardest not to scream because my brother and sister are asleep. So please tell me there is some way to fix this." She spoke through gritted teeth, effectively making Adrien lean back slightly.

(listening to Undertale OST Spear of Justice and I feel like smashing my window ngl)

"Uhh... maybe if we get Plagg to bite something else, something that would agree more with the idea?" He said questioningly, exasperated and confused. "I don't know, this has only happened a couple times before!"

Aaand that's when Plagg snapped out of his reverie. (NOW IT'S HOPES AND DREAMS I'M SO DETERMINED

This is the point where you could say everything went wrong.

Felix and Bridgette woke up to the sound of a crash, a vase knocked over by a shadow that belonged to nothing. Adrien started to chase it fiercely, Plagg snuggled right up to Marinette with a purr and her phone went off. Bridgette's eyes widened and she abruptly covered her younger brother's ears, knowing by the dark glint in Marinette's eyes what was to come.

(MEGALOVANIA PEOPLE SO PUMPED)

She plucked Plagg from the air, holding on tightly by his tail, to which he squirmed in slight pain, and with a deadly quiet growl she spoke. "Get your arse back here, Adrien Agreste, and fix this now." Adrien froze in mid air, the shadow did too. The shadow hurriedly reattached itself to the boy before he cautiously stepped in front of the blunette. She tapped her foot with narrowed eyes as she scrutinised him with an intense glare.

"D-do you w-want t-to come with us?" He nervously yet hopefully asked, green eyes glittering. Marinette sighed, anger seeping away but still remaining like a flickering flame.

"Fine." She rubbed her temples, trying to rid herself of an oncoming headache. "Just... I don't want any more trouble than now."

Adrien lit up with a smile with such child-like innocence that Marinette couldn't help but let a small smile creep onto her face. "Well, milady, you're going to need to fly!" His smile quickly turned into a huge grin as he grabbed Plagg, holding him over her head. "Cataclysm!" He called out joyfully, and suddenly, black glittering wisps swirled around her, bubbles of darkness popping and whirling. He put the floating cat into a jar that he somehow pulled from his pocket, much to Plagg's displeasure.

Marinette gasped as her feet began to leave the ground, floating above the comforting floor.   "H-How is this possible?" She breathlessly whispered through lips opened in surprise. Adrien's emerald eyes sparkled with mischief and fun and... longing. He held out a hand, poised on the windowsill, the moonlight behind him giving him an almost ethereal glow.

"Are you ready, Marinette?"

The way he delicately said her name, the earnest smile on his handsome face, his hand outstretched in patience, his truthful gaze burning into her soul, if her heart weren't already pounding from the unnerving feeling of flying, it would burst from her chest. Swallowing down her nervous excitement, she slipped her hand into his, and before she could marvel at how perfectly they fit together, he pulled her out into the cold night. Once more, she was left breathless.

Never before had she taken the time to notice the way a thousand shining stars sparkled against the inky black blanket that was the night sky. Never before had she glanced up from all the activity that never slept down below in the streets to see the peaceful stillness. Never before had she stepped onto this balcony of hers and just breathed.

Adrien was watching Marinette, eyes wandering over her pretty face and drinking in every detail. He had never seen such a beautiful girl before, and was sure he never would again. He wasn't lying when he called her an angel, she practically glowed with light and a gentle love. Her full lips open in wonder, her cerulean eyes wide and reflecting every star in the sky, skin bathed in soft lights and freckles like a million galaxies splashed across her cheeks and nose. She truly was beautiful, as beautiful as the Oracle said she would be.

(what the hell, i just wrote 'open in wonder' to describe her eyes and her lips and it sounded so stupid lol

seriously "lips open in wonder, her cerulean eyes open in wonder,"

ALSO THE REFERENCES TO MY FAVOURITE STUFF STARTS HERE. Some are subtle, some not so much, try to find them all!)

He smiled and tightened his grip on her hand. She glanced at him, eyes still glimmering, and nodded. With a smirk and a whoop, he jumped off the balcony and leapt into the sky.

Once she got over the initial shock of literally being thrown off a building, Marinette laughed as she soared above the citizens of Paris. She was flying, she was defying gravity, she was an impossible girl! All those books, all those shows, all those dreams could never prepare her for something as... as liberating and breathtaking as flight. Cold air whipped its icy fingers through her hair, her skin numb yet so, so warm. This is what being alive feels like.

Adrien threw her a wild grin, golden locks windswept and pushed back from his face. He seemed to know exactly what she was thinking, exactly what she was feeling, and how could he not? He'd been flying for longer than she, much longer, it sounded. All she could know was what she would give to be able to fly like this every day.

They soared over buildings, they zipped over rives and lakes, they glided over oceans and watched as the sun began to rise before heading straight up into the pink-tinted clouds, swerving around the debris of forgotten hopes and dreams before emerging by an island in the middle of a lost sea.

"Welcome, to Neverland!" Adrien said with a flourish. Marinette giggled a little at his extravagance before her eyes were drawn to something resting in the sea.

"Is that a ship?" Her brow furrowed in confusion, she pointed to the large wooden boat by the shore. Adrien's grin immediately slipped of his face as he looked towards it.

"Hawkmoth!" He exclaimed, darting to hide in a cloud before any of the crew spotted them in the sky. He peeked over the top of the white mist, watching a man in purple clothes march around, distant yells barely reaching their ears.

"Who's Hawkmoth?" Marinette asked, suddenly fearful of the purple man.

Adrien leaned back to look her in the eye. "Hawkmoth is the captain of that ship, and he wants nothing more than to..." He hesitated a moment, unwilling to fully address Hawkmoth's desires. "...kill me." Marinette shuddered, horror and worry in her clear blue eyes. Adrien quickly reassured her. "But he will never outsmart me, the great Adrien Agreste! Me and my Lost Boys will defeat him as many times as it takes! Don't worry, milady, he'll never get me!"

She sighed in relief and smiled. "Good. Don't want you dying on me." She jokingly nudged his shoulder, half serious. "Now, shall we find a way to get that dumb cat out of love with me." She grimaced as Plagg, not for the first time, banged against the thick glass of the jar.

"Right. Let's just find a way to get around the pirates." He nodded and lead her through clouds, periodically checking to make sure they weren't spotted.

They reached land after not much time, and Marinette relished the way the grainy sand felt under her feet. The whole island, cloaked in a green forest, seemed to be teaming with life, from the million bugs that coated the leafy floor to the birds that sang through the canopy. The crunch of leaves underfoot, the dappled sunlight highlighting their faces, the now distant sound of crashing waves unnoticeable over the melody of the rainforest chiming loud and clear. It was truly a beautiful place, a paradise.

Adrien led Marinette through the thick jungle, holding her by the hand and pointing out areas to be careful of. Vines hung from branches, spider webs often attached to them. She was not particularly scared of spiders, but she also didn't want to end up like Little Miss Muffet from that nursery rhyme, a spider beside her.

The two of them reached a tall, thick tree that reached past the low hanging clouds. A door was carved into it, and several windows. There was even a makeshift doorbell! Marinette immediately cooed at the sight.

"It's adorable! Is this where you live? It's just like a dollhouse, that's so cute!" She babbled, pressing her hands against her cheeks as her big blue eyes took in the tree. Adrien rolled his eyes and folded his arms with a pout.

"We're not exactly master builders, I'll have you know." He nudged her arm, pushing open the door and hollering. "BOYS! I'm back, where's the unicorn?!"

"Not all of us are boys, dumb butt!!" A familiar feminine voice yelled down. Marinette frowned. What...?

"ALYA SERIOUSLY WHERE'S THE UNICORN?! WE HAVE A SITUATION HERE!" Adrien yelled, dashing up some stairs as Marinette froze.

~Here is where the language gets intense~

"What the... But... Alya's in Alfheim..." She mumbled, following Adrien up. And she gasped loudly, falling backwards down the stairs after seeing Alya, Nino and the rest of her classmates. "FUCK!"

Adrien winced at the audible thud, looking down the stairs to see Marinette laying flat on the floor with a face that screamed 'fuck this shit I'm out.' "You okay?"

"WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY THERE?!" She screamed, scrambling back up there to stare at her friends. They stared right back at her. The thing was, they were all in their avatar's clothing! Weird... green leaf clothing! Grass rapiers! ELF EARS!!

"Marinette?! But... you signed out!" Nino gaped, eyes almost popping out of his head. He checked his friend menu. Why was there a friend menu in real life?! "You're still signed out! How are you here?!"

"Last I checked, this was the real world, not virtual!" Marinette jumped forward and poked Alya's arm, before full on slapping her.

"Ow! Girl, why would you do that?!" Alya screeched before completely losing her shock in favour of confusion as Marinette slapped herself.

"So I'm not dreaming..." The blunette shook her head rapidly. "What is happening?"

Adrien grinned, clicking his fingers into finger guns and pointing at the general direction of Marinette. "Magic."

"Fuck off, flying boy!" Marinette flipped him the bird without looking. "What this unicorn?"

Alya snickered at Adrien's dramatic hurt expression before answering her friend's question. "Tikki is a rainbow unicorn!"

"Really? You named her Tikki?" Nino folded his arms with an eyebrow raised?

"What's wrong with Tikki?"

"I thought we agreed on Reyna!"

"Too obvious! Tikki is cuter!"

"GUYS WHERE'S THE UNICORN?!" Adrien cut through with an aggravated shout. "We have a problem! Plagg bit Marinette and he's currently in a jar and is annoying the shit out of me by banging his head against... no actually I think he knocked himself out." Adrien lifted the jar out of his shirt to reveal the black cat fairy lying on the bottom of the glass, a sizable bulge on his forehead.

Alya and Nino immediately stopped bickering and burst out laughing at the sight.

"Tinkerplagg got dunked on!" Nino choked out through tears, actual tears from laughing so hard. Alya collapsed onto the floor, punching the ground with tears streaming down her face. Marinette giggled at the sight. Adrien raised an eyebrow.

"Tinkerplagg? Really? Mature, guys. Real mature." He shook his head in disappointment. "You guys can't get anyone done. Rose? Where's the unicorn?" He turned to the pink-haired elf with big blue eyes that mirrored her innocent irises in real life.

"I think she's sleeping upstairs." Rose pointed at the ladder made of vines. Marinette smiled nostalgically, reminded of the classic arcade games such as Donkey Kong, where Mario would try to save Princess Toadstool. Of course, she was a total pro at that game as well. Suddenly, a thump jolted her out of her pleasant memory. Rose winced. "Or... maybe she woke up?"

Marinette grinned as Adrien bolted upstairs, absently wandering around to stare at the collection of miscellaneous items on shelves surrounding the room.  She idly caressed a dream catcher that looked to be made of gemstones - rose quartz, some pearls, even a sapphire and an amethyst! Were those garnets or rubies, or both? She could never tell. She tapped the buttons of a car radio, wondering where they would get a car radio from, slid her finger along the sleek metal bar of a golden birdcage that held a canary and gazed at a smooth ultramarine coloured stone that looked to be in the shape of an egg.

She began to hum a tune, the melody light and uplifting. Miraculous, simply the best, up to the test when things go wrong. Miraculous, yeah I got this, I gotta confess I feel so strong. She smiled as the words floated through her head, making a mental note to write down the song when she got back home.

"Marinette! Come meet Tikki!" Adrien's voice cut through her thoughts. Marinette waved a goodbye to her classmates and gave a disappointed look to Alya and Nino, who were still curled up on the floor, guffawing, before climbing up the surprisingly study vine ladder.

She gasped in delight to see a white unicorn with a rainbow mane and tale galloping around in the air and pooping rainbows... what was it with things pooping rainbows today? The unicorn galloped up to her face and immediately nuzzled her nose, neighing softly. Adrien grinned to see Marinette laugh as Tikki circled her, the girl's face lighting up with life and joy.

"Is Plagg awake yet?" She asked, making Adrien glance towards the jar. Where... Plagg was still knocked out, occasionally twitching. Adrien spotted a blue-purple carpet with gold and red embroidery, a smirk overtaking his face.

"Hey Marinette?"

Marinette looked up from Tikki, who was now nestling in her arms, to see Adrien standing on a flying carpet, hand outstretched. Her eyes went wide and her lips curled into a smile. "Oh my god..."

"Do you trust me, Princess?"

"Are you really pulling Aladdin?"

"Do you trust me?"

Marinette giggled and placed her hand in Adrien's. "Yes."

With a huge grin, he pulled her onto the carpet, heart speeding up as she fell against him slightly, unstable and unused to being on it. She laughed as the carpet lifted up again, and flew out the window. Alya and Nino watched from downstairs as they zipped into the now night sky, identical knowing smirks on their faces.

"I ship it. How 'bout you?" Nino turned to Alya, who scoffed.

"I ship it more than FedEx. Adrienette is my new OTP."

Back to Adrien and Marinette. Of course, you know what's coming. I know what's coming, but then again, I am the author. We all know what's coming.

"I can show you the world."

"Shining, shimmering, splendid. Tell me Princess," He winked at her, earning a roll of her sparkling eyes. "Now when did you last let your heart decide."

"When I jumped out that window with a stranger." She teased, tapping his nose.

"I can open your eyes, take you wonder by wonder." Adrien continued as if she hadn't interrupted, his green eyes twinkling like the stars. "Over, sideways and under, on a magic carpet ride! A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view. No one to tell us no! Or where to go! Or say we're only dreaming!

Okay, magic boy. I'll play your game. Marinette grinned as she began to sing. "A whole new world! A dazzling place I never knew. But now from way up here! It's crystal clear! That now I'm in a whole new world with you." Intentionally, she leaned into him, smirking as his cheeks grew pink. "Unbelievable sights, indescribable feeling. Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling through an endless diamond sky! A whole new world,"

"Don't you dare close your eyes." Adrien held her hands away from her face as they took a steep dip, watching her face flush and listening to her breathless gasp. She threw him a grin as she continued the duet.

"A hundred thousand things to see,"

"Hold your breath - it gets better."

"I'm like a shooting star! I've come so far! I can't go back to where I used to be.

"A whole new world!"

"Every turn a surprise,"

"With new horizons to pursue."

"Every moment, red letter."

The two of them sang together, giddy smiles on their faces. "I'll chase them anywhere, there's time to spare. Let me share this whole new world with you."

"A whole new world."

"A whole new world." Marinette's high soprano contrasted against Adrien's baritone, harmonising perfectly.

"That's where we'll be."

"That's where we'll be."

"A thrilling chase."

"A wondrous place."

"For you and me." Sometime during the last few times, their hands had intertwined as they soared, very cliche like, through the sparkling stars.

~*~

Aaaand when they got back, Plagg woke up. And was not happy to see Adrien bowing and kissing his one true love, Marinette's hand while she giggled and curtsied. "Hey, hey, hey! Why am I still in the jar?!"

"Whoops, he's awake." Adrien rolled his eyes dramatically. "Well, shall we save your love life, milady?" Plagg fumed in his jar as Marinette turned her starry eyes on the blond boy once more.

"Let me just get Tikki." She moved away to pick the unicorn up into her arms, stroking her soft mane. Adrien opened the jar, and before Plagg to zip over to Marinette, grabbed his tail and held him tightly. Marinette turned her big blue eyes on the kwami, blinking her long lashes. "Plagg? Would you please do me a favour?"

"Of course." The cat said automatically, enthralled.

"Bite Tikki, please?"

And so he did.

Tinkerplagg fell for Unitikki, and the two lived happily ever after.

Marinette sighed in relief as Plagg turned his affections to Tikki, who took it much better than she. "I am so glad that's over. Now, how will I get home?"

Adrien grinned. "I have an idea. Come with me, milady." He led her downstairs, out of the tree house and onto the beach.

"A giant panda?" Marinette tilted her head in confused befuddlement (lol that's like saying foolish fool). Not like the animal, the giant panda, literally a giant panda standing in the sand, taller than Adrien. Adrien swept Marinette into his arms, smirking at her startled, high-pitched yelp, and jumped to the top of the panda.

"Marinette, are you ready?" He asked, green eyes bright, reflecting the sun as it made its way to the apex in the middle of the sky. Marinette nodded, and the panda ran off onto the water into the sunrise...

~*~

Marinette shot up in bed, eyes wide in the middle of the night. She checked her phone, seeing that it was 3 am, and then checked that her earrings were still in. Sighing in relief, she realised that Tikki, her kwami as Ladybug, had been woken up by her holder.

"Marinette? Are you alright?" The adorable red tiny god asked worriedly.

Marinette shrugged. "It's okay Tikki. Just a really, really weird dream. I need to stop watching movies before bed." She smiled as Tikki seemed to settle. "Let's just go back to sleep."

Because dreams were just dreams, and if more of them contained Adrien, who was she to complain?
