Chapter Six

(Alright peeps here's chapter six since y'all asked nicely. If anyone has any ideas on how to make it better or what should happen next then feel free to comment it, comments make my day.)

"Thea, Eloise, Nova," I said, leading the two males to the girls. "This is Blake and Diazos, they're heading towards the Felicia Stronghold as well." The girls seemed shy at first, as most people usually are when meeting new people, but they hid it well. Survival tactics be crazy, huh?

Thea held out a hand towards the two for them to shake but only Blake did, with Diazos just standing back and watching everything, especially me. I don't really think he liked me that much but I couldn't see why. I'm simply amazing, aren't I?

"May I ask why you're traveling to the Felicia Stronghold?" Blake asked them before continuing hurriedly with. "If that's not too personal, I'd understand if you didn't want to answer." Thea smiled, laughing slightly.

"Oh no, no problem at all," she reassured him, "we just need to get to one, you know? We, Nova, Eloise, and I I mean, thought that'd be the best decision." Blake nodded, opening his mouth as if to say something else before I quickly interrupted him, clapping my hands together.

"Alright, now that introductions are over I should probably get y'all your car like I said I would, right? Okay, follow me." Without waiting for a response from any of them, I started heading in the direction of the town. As I walked, I grabbed the backpack I had hidden next to one of the trees near my house for emergency's, thinking that I might need that later. You never know and it always helps to be prepared.

After a few minutes we finally arrived at the bus edge of town that separated human (or zombie in this case) from tree. Blake seemed a bit nervous as we walked on but I reassured him that, even if we saw a zombie, our combined efforts could beat the everdying crap out of them. That seemed to cheer him up a bit which I was thankful for. It was never good having a depressed zombie around. Or any zombie for that matter. Well, besides me. I'm an awesome zombie. Some might even say the best.

I lead the little group to a small opening in the side of a building, cautioning for them to watch their heads as I ducked inside.

The inside of the building was like a convenience store but with no shelves, ya know? The windows and the door were all boarded up since we came in from the back, but in the middle was two cars and a motorcycle since everyone needs a motorcycle in the zombie apocalypse, obviously. Only idiots don't die in style.

"How the heck did you fit all this in here?!" Nova exclaimed as she walked inside, seemingly dropping her guard down for a moment as she gazed at everything with a gleam in her eyes.

"Magic." I replied with a smile, reaching over the counter to grab three keys.

"I call dibs on the truck!" Thea yelled, racing over to the pickup truck on the far left. I grinned at her joy.

"Any more dibs?" I asked with a small smile.

"I think that's probably enough cars, having only one will allow us to travel for longer.." Blake said with a shrug and I nodded, handing him the keys.

"Wait, are you not coming with us?" Blake asked, suddenly realizing it. I nodded.

"Yeah, I kind of have everything I need here so there's no reason for me to leave." I answered him. "Besides, in case you've forgotten, I'm literally a zombie."

Blake shrugged. "Yeah, I know that but don't forget," he bared his teeth, showing his sharp fangs. "I am too."

I sighed, gazing at the exit for a moment before turning back to the rest of the group. The girls didn't seem to notice our conversation, while Diazos was busy checking out the Range Rover.

"Come on, please?" Blake begged before laughing slightly. "You can't really leave me with them, Diazos is bad enough."

"I mean-" I sighed I again, shaking my head. "Ah fuck it, fine, I'll come with." Blake's face brightened as he grinned.

"I knew you couldn't resist this charm!" He exclaimed happily. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Don't get so happy, I still have to get some stuff from my house." I warned him.

"Oh don't worry about that, we'll drive over to the edge and help you!"

"Alright then, how about we go tell the others then." Blake nodded quickly, jogging over to the girls as he quickly told them. I leaned against the wall, smiling softly.

You know, this might not be too bad after all.
