MT: Congratulations again on winning in the Millennial Awards last year. We'd like to ask you a few questions about you and your stories  The Runaway Couple & Unloving Sebastian ! 😀

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Annie: Hey, I'm Archillea and I am 16! I am genderfluid, I go by ae/aer pronouns and a smol innocent babie (please don't hurt me). Erm, I am a directioner, swiftie, mixer and ARMY, so yeah, I only stand by the best musicians in the world. I write and read books sometimes hehe.

MT: And for a treat we thought you might like these pictures since you are a music fan! Enjoy!

Annie: Ooh ! Thank you very much!

MT: No problem!  Glad you like them. 😀So, what inspired you to write this story?

Annie: My own experiences actually! If we are talking about "Unloving Sebastian", some scenes are based on my personal life with a lot of twists because I have no love life, lmao. I have always hated the fact that all the stories I read have unrealistically happy endings, so, here comes my baby! You sometimes have to write the content you wish to see, so voila! You have my first ever written proper story.

As for "The Runaway Couple", it was taken straight from one of these prompts on tumblr, but I twisted it a bit and made that both the groom and bride ran away from the arranged marriage. The male character is based on me (aka making stupid decisions that will land you in trouble) while the female character is based on different traits of my reddit friend circle.

MT: What was your hardest scene to write (if any) ? If there wasn't one, what was your favourite one and why?

Annie: Ahh, I think, all of them were difficult to write. Unloving Sebastian was, in entirety, actually very tough to write because the letters were supposed to convey raw emotions of the main protagonist and every time I posted one chapter, I deleted 3 because i had no clue where to finish off. Since all of that was based on what I went through, it was a bit emotional, because the story has at least some unrequited dialogue between the 2, whereas my situation had no dialogue; just the finishing of our very very very platonic relationship.

The runaway couple was more of a school project for me because my god, the amount of research that went into the names and the setting of the book was terrible. every time I reread it to edit it, I cringe and  wanted to give up, so yeah, I still wonder what 15 y/o me thought when she was writing that book ... hehe.

MT: Do you have any advice for aspiring writers?

Annie: Write whatever makes sense to you at that moment. Because exactly 0.0000001 seconds later you'll forget that idea. Even if the scenes you're writing are not in chronological order, write that stuff down. it may be because I have ADHD, but hey, it may help you!

MT: Thanks for sharing that Archillea. We love that note that you'll soon forget your thoughts in 0.1 seconds. 😁 Now what the next question?
