15 Years Later

Jim and Claire had a nice life. A beautiful daughter named Hailey Iris Wright. She was picked on when she was younger. She just wanted to be normal and everyone didn't like her. But her parents would tell her that she was perfect just the way she was. And that they loved her always. As she was their everything. They wouldn't know what would happen if they didn't have her anymore and just one day she was gone, They would probably go insane.

Claire went to go pick up Hailey from school. They walked home from school as they were close by. They were close to home about 2 blocks away and a man with a ski mask pulled out a knife and yelled "Give me the fucking money, Bitch! Or I'll kill both of you!" Claire says "Okay! Please here." she threw her wallet with Money in it and she says "Just take it and go." The guy holds the knife and bends down to pick it up looking at her

He smirks and says "Thanks." and stabs Claire and runs. Hailey yelled "Mom! No!" She picked up her mom and held her. Claire says "Call... 9...1...1, honey." She nods and takes out her phone and calls 911. The ambulance arrived and picked her up and laid her on the stretcher. Hailey got in the back and says "Just hang in there, Mom. Okay?" She nods and smiles under the breathing mask. She was rushed into the hospital and the paramedics yelled stuff at the doctor.

The nurse looks and sees Hailey and says "Can you explain what happened to the Cops, Honey?" Claire nods and walks over. A detective says "So you're Claire's daughter?" Hailey says "Yes, sir." He says "Can you explain what happened?" Hailey nods and says "We were walking home from school. And when we got close to home a man with a ski mask pulled out a knife and yelled for money.  So my Mom threw her wallet to the ground and he grabbed it and said thanks and stabbed her and ran off"

The detective nods and says "Where is your father?" Hailey says "He doesn't know." he nods and says "I'll call your father, just go sit down and I'll finish questioning, later, okay?" The detective called down to the station and asked someone to give him the number of the husband of Claire Bailey-Wright. They gave him the number and he called it. Jim picked up and says "Hello, Jimmy Wright, speaking." The Detective says "Mr. Wright, could you come to the Hospital, sir?"

Jim says "Who's this?" he says "I'm a Detective with the LAPD. Your wife has been stabbed by a thief for money Your daughter called 911 and they got there to your wife as soon as they could." Jim says "I'll be right there which hospital are you at?" He says "L.A. Community Hospital." Jim says "I'm on my way." he ends the call and rushes to his car. Jim was worried, more worried than he has ever been. When he got there he ran in and rushed to the desk and says "Is my wife Claire Bailey-Wright, here?"

The lady says "Yes, just let me pull up her room, they managed to get her stable." Jim sighs in relief and a tear went down his face. The lady says "She's on the second floor, room 42." Jim says "You're an absolute doll, Thanks." and rushes up the stairs not bothering to take the elevator. He got out and saw Hailey and rushed over and she hugs him immediately. Crying into his shoulder. He says "It's okay, Hails. I got you, Baby. Daddy's got you." He pulled back and looked at her and checked for anything as if she was stabbed too.

Hailey says "Daddy, I'm fine. It's Mom. They took 55 minutes getting to us." Jim says "Okay, I know. I'm just... being sure. I don't know what I would do if you were hurt too." They hug again and Jim says "I'm gonna go check on your mother, okay?" she nods and they let go of the hug. He saw a nurse rush over to his wife's room and says "Is my wife going to be okay?" She says "She's going into Cardiac Arrest, Sir." and she closed the door.

He looked in through the door and saw the doctor trying to save her. Then he felt a breeze of wind. But decided not to question it as he was worried about his wife. He started pacing the hallway. He sat down next to Hailey and moved his leg up and down. He was worried even more now. He wanted to hold his wife, kiss her, and watch their daughter grow up. Then the nurse came out and walked up to Jim.

He stood up and says "Please say she's okay?" she says "I wish I could, sir. But I'm not gonna lie to you. They did everything they could. She's gone, sir." Jim's heart sank into his stomach. Tears spilled from his eyes. He says "No! No, God, please no!" and he slides down the wall. He started to cry. Hailey sat next to him and hugged him. The nurse felt bad and walked away. Hailey says "Daddy, are you okay?" with tears in her eyes. Jim says "No, baby. No."

Jim wiped tears and says "This is the second time, I've seen the woman I love die in front of me." He got up and says "I'll be back, Sweetheart. Okay?" She nods and he walks over to the cops and says "Are you the cops that called me here?" The detective says "Yes, sir." Jim says "Did you find that son of bitch that killed my Wife?" the other cop says "No, sir. All we got is a license plate, and it traced back to a stolen car." Jim yells "Are you gonna do something?! Or just stand there with thumbs up your asses!?"

The detective says "Sir. We were hoping your wife would make it." Jim says "Well, she didn't. I'm taking my daughter home. I'm not in the mood for any of this." he brushes his hair back with his hands and picks up Hailey as she was surprised he picked her up. She just hugged her Dad till they got to the car. He put her in the passenger seat and buckled her in. Hailey says "Daddy?" Jim says "From now on your not walking home. I'm picking you up." He closed the door and walked to the other side of the car.

He was at the hood and he put his hands on the hood and just cried. Hailey felt bad and wanted to get out of the car, but didn't. Then he screamed letting out his anger and he punched the hood of the car multiple times and stopped and fell down and sat down in front of his car. She was scared more now. Jim got up and opened his door and got in the car and wiped tears off his face. He started the car and Hailey just held hands with him while he drove them home.
