"Who is this guy we are going to meet?"

Iris asked Logan who was driving. They both were heading towards the wedding hall.

"Jake. He's a nice, decent dude."

"Hey.....sorry if I may seem too nosy but why can't we go to your dad? Isn't he like the former board member of The Mercurial? And he is a good friend of my father."

Iris asked, she had gotten the feeling earlier that perhaps the relation between Logan and his dad weren't that great

"Uh...actually, it's not like you can't go to him. You can if you want to. No one's stopping you."

He replied,

"Then? Is there something wrong between you and your dad? Because you didn't seem too keen on going to meet him..."
Iris inquires and then thinking that Logan might find her annoying, she added,

"It's okay if you don't want to tell...."

"Actually, dad disowned me, a year ago."

He blurted out before Iris could finish her sentence

"What? Why?"

"Long story but we aren't exactly on speaking terms."

He gulps and takes a sharp breath. Iris was surprised, just what could have happened that these two ended up like this? She didn't know Mr. Wilson that much but he seems like a good, caring man.

"We are here."

Logan parks the car in an empty space. Soon they head inside and meet the guy, Jake, in the security room. He and Logan greet as if they have known each other for a long time.

"Do you know him from before his sister got kidnapped?"

Iris whispered to Logan while Jake was bringing out the copy

"Nah, this guy is just over friendly."

He shrugged after which Jake then lets him use the computer

"This is weird.....why is this camera stuck at this single site and not showing the rest of the area?"

Logan mumbled, replying the footage

"Okay so he went to the parking lot and after that we don't know anything except that a white car at that exact moment left this place."

Iris repeated what they found out loud

"Yeah, and we can't see the car properly except from its side...."

Logan adds. They both then leave after seeing the footage once more.

"I think your dad must have helped him because he also suddenly left, right?"

Iris wondered while they both were heading back

"Yeah. About that...."

Logan was about to ask if she wants to go talk to him when suddenly his phone rings. He picks up one of his phones, he had two, one contained all his Mercurial contacts while the other one was of personal use.

"It's Dick.."

He told Iris before answering the call and putting it on speaker

"Mr. Wilson. I am waiting for the details. Have you talked with your client yet?"

"Actually....yes. I am just coming back after talking to them. I won't be sending you any details."

"What do you mean?"

"Someone contacted my client, told them about how you can't be trusted. I tried persuading them but they wouldn't change their mind. I even tried finding out more about the guy who gave them the information but unfortunately all they told me was that it was someone who was your former client. Do you.....maybe know about who they are talking about?"

"....is that so. He first tried to threaten me and then this....."

They hear Dick mutter under his breath,

"Mr. Wilson, please assure your client that what they heard is not true. I can still help them with their shipping."

"I am terribly sorry, Mr. Dick. But my client does not want to take any chances. They have changed their plans to transport their product overseas. I hope you have a good day."

Logan than cuts the call. Iris giggles.

"How can you talk so formal with him?"

"That guy is old fashioned."

Logan shrugs and adds

"Now, he will try to kill Frederick."

"Although we are using their tactics, that still does not make us like them. I'll message Henry to move to phase three. He is going to tell Frederick to save his life because Dick kills him."

She quickly takes out her phone and starts sending a message to Henry on snapchat. They all used snapchat because messages don't get saved in it.
