Jadyn's POV

I thought this time they'd actually give me a challenge.

To prove that I'm worthy to become the next Alpha, they test me with soldiers higher up in the rank than the average Wolf.

They were no match for me and my other Half.

I can shift faster than all of them, and by the time they're also in Wolf form, I've already won.

A Human's no match for a Wolf.

Eric (my Wolf half) and I are an unstoppable team.

Jadyn, Eric says. I hear something. 

I'm about to reply, but then I hear it to.

Let's find out what's making that noise. Eric orders. He doesn't have to tell me twice.

I run, faster than any Human could, taking large strides.

The woods stops as it meets the beach. I daren't step out of my cover. Instead, I watch from the shadows.

It's a girl, running out of the water. She's beautiful with long, wavy, blonde hair and blue eyes.

I don't even realize something until Eric points it out. Look at her outfit.

He's right. She's wearing a black shirt and jeans. Not a swimsuit.

 "Weird." I mutter. Eric also points something else out. I think he can feel it too.

She's our mate. 

"No, no, no, no." I can't mate with a Human. What'll the Pack think?

Well, like it or not, she's your Mate. 

I growl in frustration. 

The girl seems to hear something in my direction, because her head swivels to look near me.

I hide behind a tree just in time.

You need to go back to the Pack and warn them. About what?

About how there's a new person in town that could possibly reveal the Pack.
