Two

He stared at the slop they tried to pass as food there. It's lukewarm and reminded Remus of vomit as it slid down his throat, lacking any taste. Remus couldn't say he minded, it's tasteless, which he supposes is better than the traumatizing event of them trying to serve meatloaf. He'd rather spend a week in isolation again than go through that torturous event.

He glanced around briefly, no one dared to sit with him, then again, most people didn't sit with each other. None of them are very social.

However, in Remus' case, it was less about being social and more about the fact that the last person who sat there got a spork shoved into their neck.

Let's just say he is only allowed spoons now. However, Remus could find a way to turn those into a weapon if he desperately wanted to.

Remus was kinda lonely though, it sucked being without any human contact or friends in this prison.

That was until he noticed a new face.

New patients aren't rare, but this is a private institution, it cost serious money to get on the waiting list, never mind into the prison itself. Seeing a new face had Remus glimmering with a bright grin.

He stared at the patient for a while, a burn scar covered the left side of his face, leaving his left eye milky white. His right eye is a beautiful emerald that glared at anyone he made contact with. He calmly grabbed his tray, grimacing at the supply before turning his head, surveying the cafeteria with a severe lack of interest. His eyes landed on Remus and said man eagerly waved, yellow teeth on display while the other blinked, then smirked in amusement, making his way over.

"Well, aren't you a bundle of energy?" The unknown patient comments, taking a seat across from Remus, who is bouncing in place.

"I'm Remus!" He practically screams. Many patients bristle at the loud shriek, but the new one barely flinches.

"Darling, I'm sitting right here," He says, beginning to poke at the "food". It wasn't that bad every day, really, it reminded Remus of school lunch. "Please do continue to scream my ear off as if I'm across the room," He says, voice dripping in sultry sarcasm that Remus cackled at.

"Oops! Sorry' been told I'm not good at controlling m'volume! I'm deaf in my right ear!" He chirps, far too cheerfully and Janus hums.

"Well, I'm Blind in my left eye. Perhaps I can be your ears and you can be my eyes," He suggests, a slight purr in his tone.

Remus had a feeling he was going to end up being manipulated somehow, but he only saw that as a fun new adventure, anything to spice up this boring, white facility.

"Ooo~ does this mean we're friends?!"

"Something tells me, and totally not by the empty seats at this table, that you don't have many of those, do you?"

"Nope!"

The patient snickers and reluctantly takes a bite from the slop, wrinkling his nose. Tasteless mush. Honestly, with how much money he paid to get in, he figured they'd have a better food selection.

"Then yes, we can be friends, Remus."

"Whatcha's name?" Remus asks curiously. "Gotta call ya something!" He adds, eyeing his body, searching for a crude nickname already.

"You can call me Dee for now darling."

"Dee? Like tits? Double D?" Remus laughs, and Dee's eye twitches. Remus eyes his chest, well aware of how inappropriate it is. "I mean you do have some nice pecs there~"

"I will stab you with this Fork," Dee insists, lightly waving it at him, which only has Remus booming with laughter.

"I already did that Dee! Why ya think I'm eatin' carrots with a spoon?" Remus snickers, shoving his spoon into the plastic container, having dumped the liquid the carrots had been swimming in out on the tray.

"I figured you were just being odd."

"Well," Remus says, waving his hand. "Yeah, that too."

Dee snorts and shakes his head. "My years here won't be dull with you around, will they?"

"Nope!"
