One

Scott came up to Mitch, widening his eyes. Esther was dead and blood was frozen over her entire body. Some still came out of her open wounds and Mitch's clothes were getting stained from them. Scott shook his head as tears ran down his cheeks and he picked Mitch up, not expecting the younger one to scream when he was pulled away from Esther.

"Scott, no! Let me hold her! She has to be okay! She has to!"

"Mitch, she's de-"

"No she's not! She's asleep! It's just a big joke. It's an end of the tour joke. It has to be!"

Scot shook his head while holding Mitch close to him. The tenor punched his chest so he could be released, but Scott only held on tighter. Mitch finally gave up and cried into Scott's shirt, gripping onto the fabric like it was his lifeline. Scott allowed his own tears to fall as he held his best friend close to him, running his hand up and down Mitch's back.

"The bus diver is dead too. Scott, why is this happening? What did we do?"

"We did nothing," Scott answered, hearing the tour bus door open. He heard a gasp and he turned back, his eyes filling up tears once more. "Avi, I'm so sorry."

Kevin gasped as he saw Esther's body in the snow while Avi shook his head. He almost fell onto his knees, but Kevin caught him just in time. The bass cried quietly, murmuring no multiple times. Kevin hugged him close, looking up at Scott. They held their closet friends to them, looking at each other once in a while. Darien then came running out, phone in hand.

"Yes, the bus driver is dead. My wife is-" Darien interrupted himself when he saw the four band members crying over Esther. Darien shook his head while his own tears escaped. "She's dead. My wife is dead."

"The other bus driver is dead too," Kevin informed Darien, taking the phone from him. "We're on 167 Market Street. Please come quickly."

Kirstie walked off after the phone call. She covered her mouth as she saw Esther's body and threw up instantly, her face sweaty. She walked up to Darien and held him close, crying over the loss of such an amazing person. Why did this happen to them?

Unbeknownst to them, the murderer left a message next to Esther. It was a quarter note, written in her own blood.

A MONTH LATER

"How's Mitch?" Kevin asked, walking into the studio. Scott looked over at him sadly, shaking his head. "Not good?"

"No. He's been having nightmares every night. When he's not having them, he doesn't talk. It's like he's a different person. How about Avi?"

"He gets angry easier. He'll yell at me and lock himself in his room for hours on end. I want to talk to him, but I'm afraid he won't listen or do something that will hurt himself."

Scott nodded as he thought about Esther. Esther, so sweet and kind. She didn't even get married three months ago. She was a mother to everyone on tour, especially Avi. She was the family Avi needed whenever he wanted to see his parents. She treated the trio like the were her children and protected them like crazy. She and Mitch were probably the closest because of of all the inside jokes they made with each other. She and Kevin acted like the parents even though the beatboxer was possibly the most dorky person ever. She was someone who did nothing to deserve such a thing.

"Scott?" Kevin asked, pointing at Scott's phone. Scott nodded, getting out of his thoughts. "Your phone beeped."

"Thanks," Scott murmured as he unlocked it, going to his messages. He read over it, confused by the context of the message. "Mitch just said that there's a police officer at our house. He wants Avi and Kirstie there too."

Kevin nodded slowly, confused himself. He texted Avi and Kirstie to go to Scott and Mitch's house quickly while trying to figure out why the police office needs all of them there.

~~~
Alex opened the door and smiled when Scott hugged him. He ran his hand down Scott's back, feeling his heart get heavy for his boyfriend and the band. The five of them, especially Avi and Mitch, are going through such a hard time, a time they did not deserve to go through. Scott let go of the embrace and smiled at Alex weakly.
"Is Mitch already in there with the police man?" Scott asked, looking into the living room. Alex nodded as he looked at the tenor and police man. "Do you know what he is going to tell us?"
"Nope, but he has two pairs of handcuffs with him so it seems serious," Alex answered, frowning. He kissed Scott softly, his hazel eyes full of sadness. "I'm so sorry, Scott."
"It's okay," Scott murmured, even though he knew it wasn't okay. Kevin, Avi, and Kirstie walked up the driveway and Scott opened up the door, letting them in. "I'll talk to you in a few, okay? Just go to your room or something."
Alex nodded as he went upstairs, leaving the band and police officer alone. Kirstie smiled at Scott and hugged him, happy to be see him again. Scott hugged back weakly, wanting to talk to the officer. Avi walked into the living room and sat next to Mitch, not murmuring one word. Kevin sighed as he looked back at Scott, shrugging his shoulders.
"Come on, I don't got all day," the police officer called out. Scott, Kevin, and Kirstie all sat down, nodding at the officer. "We got an anonymous phone call from someone. They found out who the killer and accomplice is."
"Accomplice?" Mitch asked softly, finally speaking after a month. Scott looked at him in surprise, smiling a bit. "There's an accomplice?"
"Yep. The person who called said that they saw two people go into the tour buses. One of them killed the tour bus drivers and the other one killed the tour manager," the police officer confirmed. The band shared looks of confusion, wondering how the anonymous source knew that Esther was the tour manager. "Anyway, our D.N.A team found some interesting things on the scene. A blond and brunette hair and piece of fabric."
"Oh?" Avi asked angrily, shaking his head. Everyone turned to him, scared of what he was going to say. "If you think that I killed my sister, then you are dead wrong!"
"You did not do it," the officer replied, calming Avi down while looking over s Kirstie. "You didn't do it either."
"I know that."
The officer looked over at Scott and Mitch, looks them over. The two friends shared a look, wondering why the officer looked at them. The officer sighed as he snapped his fingers, showing another officer. The officer stood up and gave them a pair of handcuffs while he got his own. He looked at Scott and Mitch once more, shaking his head.
"Scott Hoying, you are arrested for the murder of Esther Koop. Mitch Grassi, you are arrested for the murders of the tour bus drivers and being an accomplice in Esther's murder. Anything you two say will be held against you two in court."
A/N: CLIFFHANGER!!! Also, sorry if the ending didn't make any sense, lol. In the previous book, Mitch was the only one who got arrested, but since there is an accomplice this time I decided to have Scott and Mitch arrested. Anyways, I hope that you all enjoyed the chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
