Chapter 26 : A Fatal Destiny...?

POS: External

Lui's body was on the ground, motionless but...He was trying hard to stay alive, no matter how much fate was hurting him. His body was paralyzed and if he tried to move, the blood would simply flow even more. His eyes were closed, enduring the painful sensation that the sword created for him. It was even still inside him, that pure metal. This stuff can kill a monster, so for a human... He didn't want to think about it. Why would he even do it? He didn't want to die, but if it was his fate, he would just accept it.

It was hard, his breathing, he felt it very weak and had trouble breathing. He felt that he was between life and death and that at any moment he could simply die. The blood was still flowing, and soon there would be nothing he could do to avoid the catastrophe.

His ears, they heard sounds of sword giving sparks, screams of anger and fury, roars of dragon. Everything was mixed up, he didn't know where it all came from. But even if he was in danger of anything, there was nothing he could do. Just wait and see what happens.

He felt the presence of his dragon friend next to him, being kept in the shadows, and met his eyes. He moved his hand a little in his direction upwards. He thought he would not even make it that far. The contact with the white dragon's head reassured him. "Luinor..." Even as he spoke, he was in pain. He was losing strength too fast, just talking was already taking oxygen. His throat had some air interruptions, and he felt like he was going to pass out. The flaming dragon looked at him and saw the blood flowing. He turned his gaze to Roy who was in the middle of a fight with Free and roared. He then looked at Lui who nodded his head.

The dragon then moved towards Roy. Free saw the dragon and stepped aside, giving way to the dragon's anger. His master is in a very bad position because of this man. He was going to avenge him by killing this evil being.

Meanwhile, Free became normal again and went to him. He looked at him and touched his face gently. "Lui."

The blue boy did not answer. He was falling into unconsciousness. Free swallowed his saliva and clenched his hands into fists. He didn't want to believe that the person he loved was dead. He wanted there to be hope that she was still alive. He felt her lung, barely perceptible. He didn't know what to do. He was breathing heavily after the fight he had with Lui's father.

Flashback.

Free had just shown his veins and his golden eyes.

Roy laughed, "So this is the true form of the monster. It's already more obvious to call you a monster now that you're showing what you really are."

Free stared at him dangerously. "You'll pay for hurting him."

Roy still laughed, "He's not just hurt, he's going to die, just like you. Maybe your ending will be like that famous story, the one in Romeo and Juliet. My son is going to be dead, and you are going to kill yourself because of your grief hahaha!"

"Think again, I will kill you and save the one I love."

"Ha! A monster can't have a heart, it was taken from you when you were put under that curse. You can't love anyone."

"That's what everyone can think, yes. I used to think that too. But I met Him and thanks to Lui, I understood that love can't be stopped.Everyone's heart lives inside us, we just need to see it and wake it up. You, you don't have any, you want to kill your son when he has done nothing to you. What kind of father are you to do such a thing to your child?"

"I wouldn't have treated my child like that, if it was his brother. He was strong. Strong, big, unsentimental. He would scare off anyone who contradicted him. He would kill anyone who dared to stand in his way. I loved him. But you killed him in cold blood."

"There was nothing special about him, he was just like the others. Arrogant, wanting to show himself strong and so brave, when he wasn't. I'm glad I killed your first son, he didn't deserve life."

"It is you and Lui who do not deserve life!" shouted the Roy.

"Why do you treat Lui like that? Didn't you know how to raise him as your first son? By the way, I appreciate that he doesn't have the same character as you and your first son."

"Lui is a weakling. He's too sentimental. I wasn't planning on having him at the very beginning, he was just a last minute replacement kid. I just forced his mother to have him so I could have an heir. I never thought that sending him on a mission to kill you would create such a situation."

Free smiled and shrugged, "I really liked your decision, Roy. You brought me on a silver platter my meal which is your entire army, and Lui, the one I fell in love with. I couldn't ask for more than your decapitated head."

The Roy growled, "You are insolent, I will kill you to punish you!" He ran towards Free with a heavy sword in hand.

Free just dodged and then blocked the next attack with his serrated weapon. The blond man smiled, "You can't kill me with this weapon, I'll have you know, it doesn't have any pure parts, like the one you shoved into my boyfriend's body. You can still try to kill me with it but you won't succeed." The Roy gritted his teeth and gave him a blow. But Free barely felt it. The blond tilted his head with a sideways smile, "You tried something there? It won't work."

The Roy didn't give up on the idea of killing him and did everything he could to shoot him. But it all backfired, he was exhausting his strength, while Free...he was losing nothing. His body was not running out of steam. Maybe it's one of those abilities that a monster can have. This kind of creature can have a lot of stamina in battle, you can't defeat them like that. Maybe only magic and pure matter can really touch them.

Free smiled, "Already tired? But we haven't done anything yet." He didn't want to finish everything all at once. Since he met Lui, he wants to enjoy the fights more (+), he wants to cause pain. Since always, he was killing everyone in one shot, like this. He was very bored. That's why he decided to give his enemies a chance, to see if they could entertain him more (+). It amused him. Seeing his victims suffer, and always trying to kill him when they couldn't.

Free tossed his gun in the air a bit, playing with it, "Are you going for it, Roy? Or I'm going to have to finish you right there." He looked at him with a smile, "It would be sad if you died like that with just a flying dagger." He was laughing at him. "You're really annoying, this fight is getting really tiring."

The Roy clenched his fists and ran towards the monster with his weapon and shouting, "Go to hell!"

Free smiled, "I've already been there but thanks for the invitation."

The fight resumed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Free stood there, kneeling in front of Lui's body which didn't seem to move in any way. His head was trying to think of many ways to save him. But none. He was a little desperate. He wanted to save him at all costs, it was this boy who had shown him what love really was. And he taught him how to care about someone.

Valt came running. He had left Valtryek and Spryzen to fight Fafnir. The blue boy watched Luinor advance toward the Roy with his mouth open. He narrowed his eyes. He then turned his gaze to Free and Lui and opened his eyes wide. He instinctively ran towards the two of them. "Free!"

The blond man turned his head towards him, "Valt."

Valt dropped to his knees and looked at Lui. Tears started to come, "What happened? Why is he like this, Free!?"

The blonde lowered his head as he closed his eyes, he gritted his teeth. "I'm sorry, I couldn't save him...His father shoved the sword into him."

"Is he...Dead?" asked Valt looking at his sad friend. "Free! Tell me he's not dead!!!"

Free didn't answer and let a tear fall, "I don't know..."

Valt closed his eyes, "No..."

Shu looked at everything from above, Suoh was holding Shasa back. "Lui..." He was sad, who wouldn't be? He had come close to him, he had taken him in directly when he met the celestial pel. He had nursed him back to health, made sure he stayed alive with Free. Now the boy was perhaps dead, rather, surely...

Dead... That word...

Nobody wanted to believe it...

They had all become attached to him...

Valt from the beginning. And he and Free after meeting him.

It was a shocking and hurtful event. They had to do something but what? Except for Chris before, they didn't know anyone as a magician. Suoh was not specialized in this kind of business.

Nothing came to his mind...

For the moment...
