Chapter 23 : The Fight.
ON THE SIDE OF FREE
He was running around looking everywhere, he had taken his knife with the golden blade near him just in case. He paced all the galleries looking for Lui, but it wasn't easy, it was a labyrinth. He sighed and looked out the window, finding Fafnir throwing flames at Luinor, and the ice dragon fighting back by biting the golden dragon.
"We must act quickly before their fight gets out of hand," he thought. He looked ahead and continued. After a few minutes, he saw a shadow in front of him. He recognized the blue-haired girl.
"I won't let you pass." said Shasa with a serious look. She took a sword from one of the statues of a knight and walked towards the monster.
Free was not afraid, a weapon like that, may hurt him but his skin will heal quickly. "It would be a real shame for your people, if you die now." he said with a smile. The girl still did not leave. "It looks like the Guten kingdom will have no more princess, and...no more father." Said Free as he felt Roy Guten's presence behind him.
Lord Guten shouted with his sword in the air and stuck his sword right into Free's body. "I did it!"
"Daddy..." said Shasa.
Free smiled and began to laugh. He pulled the weapon out of his flesh and it automatically repaired itself. "You guys are really funny. I knew it, humans are fun...To kill of course." He let go of the sword and it made a noise as it hit the ground and bounced a bit. "So, majesty, I hope you have announced to your people, your upcoming death."
The King gritted his teeth, "What I'm about to announce to them, is your death to you!"
"Hehe, you have to kill me already, but when I see your potential, you are no match." He hit them making them suffer, it was something he enjoyed, seeing the pain on the faces of his enemies. He was going to enjoy it, putting the search for the one he loved for a moment. Shasa and his father tried to hurt him, but his skin had decided otherwise, it was healing so fast. Shasa was out of breath. "What? Is it over already? You guys are no fun right now." said Free with a smile.
Shasa grunted as she stood up, "How can Lui love you?! You're not worthy of being with him!"
Roy Guten opened his eyes wide, "What?! Prince Shirosagi!? With that monster!?"
"Haha, I don't understand how you all can have such reactions." said Free, "Everyone has the right to love whoever they want."
"Not a royal blood with a creature like you!" said Roy Guten.
Free smiled, "Fate has decided that." He walked over to them, picking up a simple sword that was on the ground. "Goodbye." He picked up the weapon and held it up in the air. He was about to finish it when he felt a weapon with a bit of pure metal go through his arm. He grunted and let go of the sword to step aside. He withdrew the pure sword and looked at his arm. It was bloody and it wasn't healing. "Shit..." He looked at the Roy Shirosagi standing there with another weapon that seemed to be made of pure metal as well.
"Now, monster, you can't escape. I will kill you with the purity of metal." said Lui's father.
Free raised an eyebrow. "You can't kill me."
The Roy took a pure dagger and threw it at Free and Free did not move. A shiny blue blade intercepted the dagger and both weapons stuck in the wall.
Everyone looked and Lui appeared from the shadows to stand in front of Free.
"The prince..." said the Roy Guten.
"Move out of the way!" ordered His father.
"No!" shouted Lui, "You kept me from love all the time during my youth! I won't let you deprive me of the one I love!"
"Think about it, Lui!" said Shasa to her. "Get real, you can't love her! That creature will kill you!"
Free smiled a little, "You really are all idiots." he said mockingly. "Love can't disappear like that from one second to the next." He advanced next to Lui. "You three don't even know this feeling."
"Yes, I do!" shouted Shasa, "You're the one who doesn't know that! You're just manipulating Lui for your own personal pleasure!"
"My daughter is right! The prince must have been bewitched!" said Roy Guten.
"Just let us kill you, you monster." said Lui's father, "And let my son come to."
Free laughed, "Very funny, I must admit. You're all thinking lies. Lui is not bewitched, he does what he wants, and he has decided to stay with me."
"Surely that's not true." said the Roy Guten.
"It is true, majesty." said Lui, looking at the ground. "It is Free that I love, and no one else. I can't marry your daughter, I won't be able to. Our two kingdoms will not be unified. You must understand, that love cannot be stopped. And..." He looked at them. "If you oppose me, I will have no choice but to kill you all."
Roy Guten looked out the window at the people being slaughtered by the flames. "It doesn't matter if I die in this castle, we'll all do it with these dragons."
Free looked at Fafnir who was no longer attacking Luinor. "Why doesn't my friend defend the capital anymore...?"
"Because he has understood..." began Lui, "That everything must be destroyed."
"No!" said Free, "You can't kill all your people!"
"Why do you worry so much, monster?!" said Lui's father. "You had no heart to kill all my soldiers."
"They had come to my territory. They just paid for their offenses on land that didn't belong to them. But I know that all these people are innocent, they are just living their lives after all." He looked at Lui, "You have to order Luinor to stop."
"It's too late." said Lui. "They will all die. No one but the five of us are spared."
"Five?" said Roy Guten.
Free raised an eyebrow. "Five? Me, you, Valt, Shu and...who else...?"
He did not answer.
SHU AND VALT'S SIDE
Shu and Valt were running around the castle. A storm had begun to arrive and the sky darkened.
"This is bad." said Shu as she looked out the window. "I feel like the gods are angry."
"Fafnir looks like he's joined Luinor." said Valt looking at the two dragons. "They are all destroying."
"We have to be quick!" said Shu as he ran.
FROM FAFNIR AND LUINOR
What happened:
Luinor was attacking the golden dragon with force and ferocity. "You can't beat me!" the white dragon shouted at him. "You are making a very big mistake to obey your partner's decision!"
"You shouldn't underestimate those decisions. He is wise and calm, unlike yours."
"Mine only wants revenge. He only wants to hurt those who hurt those close to him."
"But killing all those people is not the answer!"
"I simply obey him. I'll kill them all and I'll kill the whole kingdom!"
"You are really crazy!"
"No, I'm not. My friend, you should join me instead of trying to stop me. Anyway, the fate of humans is death sooner or later. We are just doing them a favor, they live poor and unhappy every day of their lives. We free them, they can be at peace afterwards."
"But they will not have lived what they wanted."
"Every life has an end. At least, that's what humans have. They're going to die one day, be realistic for a while! Think about it! I know you're not stupid and you can think! If you help me, it will already serve to put an end to their fears."
Fafnir said nothing and looked at the tiny humans running around on their gigantic legs. Some of the children were in their mothers' arms crying. Many were trying to find a way to escape but... The exit under the city, which was normally for escape, had been blocked. They were all caught like rats locked in cages.
"Well? What do you think?" asked Luinor as he spun around. "Its humans, their miserable lives that don't last long. They don't deserve to be saved, especially since they wanted our two masters, to separate and these humans, wanted to kill your partner. Doesn't it matter to you? Free who was going to die." Fafnir growled Luinor knocked him over. "So, what's your conclusion?"
Fafnir closed his eyes, "It's okay. You're partly right after all." He pushed him away and stood up, "Our partners were nearly killed several times by these humans."
Luinor nodded. "Let's destroy everything together, instead of fighting like this."
Fafnir raised his head and roared. He prepared his fire and spat it out on the people. Luinor flew up and spat out his blue flames too.
VALT AND SHU'S SIDE
Valt and Shu had just been intercepted by Christina. She smiled at them, "Where are you going with that?"
"Oh shit..." said Valt, then put his hand over his mouth for what he had just said.
"I don't know if we're up to it," said Shu. "An immortal can't do anything against a mage and a vampire, not much either."
"But I can help you." said a voice coming from behind them.
Shu and Valt turned around and saw a boy with white hair, but less than Shu.
"Who are you?" asked Valt.
"You don't know me, I see." said the boy. "I am a friend of Lui. My name is Suoh."
"Aren't you the one Lui went to visit?" said Valt.
"Yes, and He contacted me to help you. Nice, right?"
"Yeah but you're a human so you might get killed." said Shu.
Suoh smiled, "We'll see."
