Serena was on her way to the Kalos region and was going to win her first princess key.Ash was just starting his journey,he was going to win his first gym battle.Serena was on the cruise and was on her way to Kalos.It appears that Ash's first gym battle is in the Kalos region as well.Serena was in Kalos and wanted to go to the gym and take a look around.Ash was also in the gym to meet the gym leader.When they met in the middle,they found each other very familiar.They both knew that they had met before,suddenly it all made sense!
