chapter 32
Morning
Izuku yawned and stretched his body. Instantly, he flinched, feeling immense pain in his back, making him groan loudly.
Tsuyu:mh...Zuku? What's wrong, my tarantula? Kero
*Tsuyu said, getting up with a yawn and rubbing her tired eyes.*
Izuku: My back is on fire; I can barely move it.
*Izuku said while breathing heavily that he might be used to this pain, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. Tsuyu nodded, knowing this was a 4/5 pain for Izuku. She got up and left looking for what Izuku usually needs for days like this. While she did that, she was also multitasking, calling Izuku's most responsible employee, only to receive a voicemail.
Tsuyu: Buck, it's Tsuyu; whatever you're doing, better be legal. Also, Izuku's back is out. You and the rest have the day off. Don't forget to tell them I don't need a repeat of what happened last time. Lucky didn't know. Kero
*Tsuyu hung up and went back to her fiance.*
Tsuyu, ok, I got your heating pad, some chips and sweets, your bong, and enough happy plants to make Snoop Dog jealous.
*Tsuyu placed the food aside and slowly, with help from Izuku, lifted him. Tsuyu placed the pad under him, and Izuku sighed, feeling the warmth of the pad feel almost like a massage.
Izuku: God, that feels good.
Tsuyu: Better than what we did last night, Kero?
Izuku:. Can't I love two things?
Tsuyu: Pff, you ass Kero
Izuku, I'm pretty sure your ass was the one we used to love.
*Tsuyu rolled her eyes with a smirk as she gave Izuku his bong and laid next to him.*
Izuku: Who's turn is it?
Tsuyu: Mine, and I'm in the mood for DreamWorks jero.
Izuku;El dorado?
Tsuyu: You've read my mind, my Tarantula Kero.
Izuku: It's what I do best, my little pet frog.
*Tsuyu cuddled next to Izuku as he grabbed the control and hit play to the movie, occasionally passing around the bong so they both could have some relaxation.*
In Greece
It's been a few days since Tamaki exploded on Nejire for what she said, and things were... calm; they weren't good, but they were calm. Tamaki was out at his job, and Nejire was at his home playing with Penelope while Clio was on her phone, still keeping an eye on them. Nejire huffed with a cute pout.
Nejire: I still don't see why Tamaki insisted that you stay. I'm more than responsible enough to take care of her on my own.
Clio-Tamaki is just very overprotective with his daughter. You can't really blame him. Penelope is his whole world; he even shows the villains the drawings his pride and joy do.
Nejire: That sounds like something he would do.
Nejire said with a soft smile on her lips, just imagining that situation.
Nejire's imagination
*Tamaki was breathing heavily, his shirt ripped out as blood was falling from an open wound, a determined look on his face as he walked in a circle with the villain of the week twirling his knife around.*
Tamaki: It's time we end this...
The villain flinched and got ready as Tamaki moved his hand behind his back to grab something. In a flash, a huge picture of Penelope playing with her teddy bear appeared.
Tamaki: Feast your eyes on the drawing of my little girl; she's so pure, you'll be cleansed of all your villainy!!
Back to the real world
*Nejire was giggling, but it wasn't an innocent giggle; imagining Tamaki's body without a shirt made her get a little lightheaded.*
Clio: He's a good father, way better than his biological parents, wouldn't you agree, Nejire?
*Nejire flinched from Clio's tone. Nejire knew she knew what Nejire said. Nejire looked down, sighing.
Nejire: So he told you about that, huh?
Clio: I had to push it out of him, but yes. It was clearly bothering him, you know.
Nejire: I was just saying...
Clio: Yes, and what you said was comparing Tamaki, who is a good-working father, with two alcoholic parents who always compared him to his cousin's in the most toxic way, so yes.
*Clio glared at Nejire, her eyes showing nothing but hate for Nejire for insulting the man who gave her a shot at work when no one did.*
The glare was so nasty that it made the professional hero flinch, feeling a bit scared of the teenage babysitter.
Clio, you were just saying something that hurt Tamaki deeply, and you need to apologize to him.
Nejire sighed but nodded reluctantly; all the while, Penelope was too busy playing with her dolls to notice. Nejire shook her head and looked at Penelope, smiling.
Nejire: So Penelope, I never did ask, but what's your quirk?
Penelope: Oh, Daddy said I shouldn't use it unless He's here to supervise me.
Clio: She's right, she still hasn't done any training.
Nejire:what? But why? I started training when I was 4.
Clio:that's Japan You are in Greece; we don't care a lot about that here. Kids don't even start training until they're in hero school if they even want to train. Most just use them for fun.
Nejire: Can't she just show me real quick?
Nejire whined like a little child wanting to open presents on Christmas morning. Clio looked unsure and looked at Penelope.
Clio, well, I don't know; maybe a small demonstration would be okay.
*Clio muttered to herself. Nejire took this chance, grabbed Penelope, and went running outside.*
Nejire:great! We'll be outside; come on, Penelope, this will be fun!
Clio, wait, I didn't say yes!!
Nejire, I can't hear you!!
Clio: Then how did you respond?!
*Nejire just slammed the door on her. Clio sighed. Being the responsible one, she grabbed her phone and called Tamaki.
Tamaki, hello Clio, did something happen?
Clio, something might happen. Um, how do I explain this? Nejire wants to see Penelope's quirk.
Tamaki; I see. Please tell me you were the responsible
Clio;i..i was! But she got the better of me, and now...
Tamaki: The clouds are turning gray. I'll be there as soon as I can.
Moments before
*Penelope and Nejire made it outside; Nejire was getting more excited by the second, and Penelope was getting excited just seeing Tamaki's lady friend so happy.*
Nejire:ok! So are you ready to show me your totally amazing quirk?!
Penelope:yeah yeah!
Penelope squeezed her eyes shut and started to tremble, concentrating really hard. Nejire giggled at seeing Penelope's face turn as red as a tomato. Nejire's giggles slowly stopped as the skies started to turn grey from grey to dark as the winds started
To pick up*
Nejire: Oh, honey, that's enough!
*Penelope didn't hear her and kept going as lightning slammed on the sand, creating a fulgurite.*
Penelope took a breath, and almost instantly things went back to normal. Nejire was quick to Penelope's side, rubbing her back as she was breathing heavily.
Penelope: How was that?
Nejire: That was amazing! So your quirk, let's make lightning?!
Tamaki's quirk gives her the ability to control the elemental forces that preside over weather.
Nejire flinched as she turned around, and seeing Tamaki there, leaning against the door of his house, his arms crossed, he did not look pleased.
Penelope:daddy!
*Penelope went running to him, hugging his leg. Tamaki's eyes softened as he petted her hair. A small smile appeared on his lips.
Tamaki: Hey, honey, Daddy came to have his lunch break with his favorite princess. But where could she be?
Penelope;here here!
Tamaki:really? But what kind of princess doesn't have a tiara?
Penelope:oh! It's in my room. Wait up!
Penelope left running with Tamaki, watching her go all the way with a soft smile on his lips. Nejire watched the interaction with a smile of her own. She sighed and walked up to him.
Nejire; She's really something, and to be able to control the weather sure is a powerful quirk.
Tamaki: It's more than just the weather; she's immune to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, but my little princess likes it cold. Her mother had a similar quirk; she could create winds strong enough to support her weight, giving her the ability to fly. I have no doubt Penelope will be able to do the same when she's older.
Nejire flinched at his tone and sighed, rubbing her arm.
Nejire: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that without your permission.
Tamaki: No, you shouldn't have. But since I can see that you're at least remorseful about your actions, I'll let it slide this time.
Nejire:thanks and... I'm sorry for what I said a few nights ago; it was completely out of line, and I said it without thinking about how that would affect you. I know I did something wrong, and I hope you can find it in your heart to...
*Nejire's eyes widen as Tamaki kisses her out of the blue; she quickly closes her eyes and deepens the kiss. Tamaki, for his part, kissed her to stop her from rambling. He let go of the kiss and signaled with his head for the inside.
Tamaki: You talk too much. Come on, let's go inside.
Nejire;y..yeah....
Tamaki walked inside with Nejire following. She giggled a little as Tamaki's little elf ears turned bright red at the end of them. Both of them were in their own world to see the Calander, more specifically that it was almost the end of the month and Nejire's vacation would be coming to an end soon.
