chapter 26
With masaru
Masaru walked out of his car, briefcase in hand, as he walked inside UA. He glanced at the students talking amongst themselves, unaware that this school's future was going to change. Masaru whistled as he walked. He opened the door to Nezu's office and walked inside.
Nezu: I'm sorry, but I'm very busy. Please come back later.
Masaru:hm...
Masaru slammed his briefcase on Nezu's desk, his smile never leaving his face as he sat down in the chair.
Masaru: No, no, I don't think I'll be going anywhere.
*Nezu recognized that voice and took a deep sigh, placing his pen down, and looking at Masaru.*
Nezu:Mr. Bakugo, do what do I owe the visit?
Masaru: Oh, I don't know. You're one of the most intelligent beings on the planet; surely you can figure it out? I mean, if we compare our intelligence, I must be a monkey with a suit compared to you.
Masaru gave a fake chuckle at his joke, and Nezu hummed and leaned back in his chair.
Nezu: I'm guessing you're here because of Eri Midoriya. I'm guessing you're here to make some kind of deal?
Masaru:deal? Oh no. This time, you damn rat, you have no more favors to cash in, no more defensive, and you can't delete footage since that belongs to the government. Now that they don't trust you, you have no more blackmail to speak off. No, no, this time you WILL be going to court, and you will face the mighty hand of Lady Justice. She's blind, but you've escaped her one too many times. That ends today.
Masaru opened his briefcase and passed Nezu a stack of papers.
Masaru: So, Mr. Nezu, you have been officially served, and we'll see you in the courtroom.
Masaru got up and walked away, making Nezu sigh and frown slightly. Masaru walked out of the fake hero-infested school and drove off.
Masaru wonders how it went with Izuku and Tsuyu.
Meanwhile, with Mitsuki
Mitsuki was driving home groceries in the back seat, singing her heart out.
Mitsuki:I CAME IN LIKE A WRECKING BALL, I NEVWR HIT SO HARD IN LOVE, ALL I WANTED WAS TO BREAK YOUR WALLS, ALL YOU EVER DID WAS WRECK ME, YEAH YOU! YOU WRECKED ME
Mitsuki kept singing until she stopped her car as traffic stopped moving.
Mitsuki: What's going on?
*Mitsuki saw some drivers ahead of her getting off their cars, annoyed, but she shrugged and did the same. Walking forward, she froze at what she saw: a normal villain attack. Only the "hero" trying to stop the villain was her own son that she hasn't seen in so long.
Bakugo: Is that the best you got, you filthy bastard?!
* In front of her was a disowned son fighting the villain of the week. Her feet moved for her as she walked deeper in the circle to get closer to the fight. Once she was as close as she could get, she saw Bakugo's cheek injured raw. It made Mitsuki sick to her stomach to see her son's face in such a state.
*Katsuki hands were trembling; signs of quirk overuse were clear, as this fight has been going on for hours and the villain is always running away.*
Rukia: Aw, what's wrong? Are you done? I guess that's why you're a vigilante and not a hero anymore.
Rukia laughed in a condescending tone as Bakugo gave a loud scream of frustration and tiredness. He used his quirk to dash towards Rukia, dodging all her ice moves, before finally slamming his foot on her face, sending her to the ground with a concussion. Katsuki breathed heavily as he almost fell down but kept his balance. He took some zip ties from his pockets and placed her on a pole. Katsuki looked at the civilians with their cámaras on.
Katsuki: Stop taking pictures, and someone should call the police.
*Katsuki jumped off the highway, using his quirk to jump or fly away. Mitsuki didn't dare move until she could no longer see her son. With a sigh, she turned around and walked to her car, hugging herself.
Masaru: At least you are living with your decision, Katsuki; I can respect that.
Meanwhile in Greece
Tamaki: Thanks again for taking care of Penelope until I get back. The sitter got sick from food poisoning. I told her not to go to that restaurant, but did she listen? No, she was too busy making goo goo eyes at that new cook. Anyway, thanks again, I really.
Catherine: Oh, stop it! You're far too kind, my son. You'll give me a cavity!
Catherine said with a booming laugh, slapping Tamaki's back. Catherine grew a smug smile, looking at her son in all but blood.
Catherine: So where's the pretty lady~? I'm still embarrassed after I caught you two in that "massage."
Tamaki: I can do without the air quotes, mother. And it was just a massage, nothing more; she hurt her back giving Penelope a piggyback ride a few days ago.
Catherine: and she was shirtless because?
Tamaki:...so that she could be more comfortable.
Tamaki mumbled, feeling heat growing in his face. Catherine had to hold her laughter as she looked at her son.
Catherine: So again, where is she?
Tamaki was hiding in the car; she was too embarrassed to see you.
Catherine:.
Tamaki walked away from the laughing Catherine into the living room, seeing his daughter drawing a picture with Dedue helping. Tamaki kneeled next to his daughter, who looked at him with a smiling face that just filled Tamaki with the need to protect the innocent.
Tamaki:honey I'm leaving now; you'll show me that picture when I get back, ok?
*Penelope got up and hugged her father, who hugged back, not caring that now he had a bit of egg salad on his shirt.*
Penelope: Ok, bye-bye, papa. I love you.
Tamaki smiled and kissed her forehead, getting up.
Tamaki: I love you too, honey. I love you in the morning. And in the afternoon, I love you in the evening. And underneath the moon.
Tamaki walked away; he got inside his car and looked at Nejire, who was slouched down so they couldn't see her through the window.
Tamaki: You know she's not going to bite.
Nejire: No, she'll tease me, which is 10 times worse.
Tamaki: You get used to it, mostly.
Nejire:just drive
Tamaki chuckled and drove away. Nejire sat back normally and looked out the window. Nejire started to blush a little as, with her free hand, she slowly placed it on top of Tamaki's hand. Tamaki interlocked his hand with hers and heard Nejire giggle softly.
Nejire: I feel like such a school girl~
Tamaki:Well, I wouldn't mind seeing you in our old uniforms.
Nejire scoffed and slapped his arm playfully.
Nejire: Oh yeah, as if that fits me anymore.
Tamaki: That's the fun part.
Tamaki said, smirking, making Nejire snort in amusement.
Nejire: Where was this Tamaki when we were in Japan?
Tamaki:hidden away because of shitty parents and shittier people
Nejire: Coming to Japan wasn't that bad.
Tamaki: For you, you had a great quirk and were a natural 8.
Nejire:8? Why an 8?
Tamaki kissed Nejire's hand, making a nervous giggle escape her throat.
Tamaki, because now you have grown into the most beautiful 10
Nejire: So cheesy. God, I missed when they talked like that to me.
Tamaki: Anyway, with me being an antisocial loner with a weird quirk, it wasn't so much sunshine and rainbows like you. Over here with my new friends and family? It helped me grow for the better and gain something I never thought I would get: the most beautiful daughter.
Nejire: Penelope is quite a beautiful and charming girl; you'll have to beat the boys away from her with a stick.
Tamaki: Don't remind me, why can't my princess stay small forever?
Tamaki gave a small whine that Nejire found endearing.
Nejire: Because things change, that's just the natural order of things. Hell, I never even considered you ever leaving Japan. I took it pretty hard, which is why I stopped answering. I was stupid back then, and I'm sorry about that.
Tamaki: We were young and stupid. For what it's worth, I'm also sorry for just leaving without telling anybody.
Nejire, it's fine, but why did you leave? I always wondered: What was the final nail in the coffin?
Tamaki:You choosing Mirió over me...
Mini flashback
Tamaki was at home; it was his day off. He wanted to spend time with his friends, and more specifically, he wanted to see Nejire. Just as he grabbed his keys, mail fell from the mail slot. Tamaki grabbed them and looked over them.
Tamaki bill, subscription to Playboy, coupons, nejire?
*A personal letter from Nejire was in his small stack. He shrugged, putting the other letters on the table. He opened it and froze. He felt as if his heart was being squeezed to death as his hand started to shake a little. It was an invitation, a wedding invitation.
Tamaki: You... are invited to the wedding of Mirio and Nejire.
Tamaki whispered as he felt his heart start to water, not believing what he was seeing.
Present
Tamaki: There was simply nothing left for me in Japan; let's leave it at that and concentrate on now and our first official date.
Tamaki said with a kind smile, if not a little force, because of that memory.
Meanwhile, in Japan, because it's written in their contract to be in every chapter with the Midoriya's
*Izuku was off in his shop being the peacemaker between his part-timers since somehow all 3 were fighting each other for magneto knows what, something about a lost shipment. We see Tsuyu and Eri alone in the house; both had aprons, and chefs hated them as they baked cookies.
Eri: I can't believe dad likes oatmeal raisin cookies.
Tsuyu: I know it's the one thing I can't stand about him. Kero
Eri, how could you? Who could stand oatmeal and raisin cookies?
Meanwhile, with Mínoka
She sneezed, and Marquis looked at her.
Marquis, someone must be talking about you.
Mínoka: Oh, that's a bunch of bull...
Back to the stepmother or daughter
Tsuyu: Don't worry, it's only a small patch; after that, we can make the best cookie. Chocolate chips
Eri: Yum, um, thanks for teaching me how to do this.
Tsuyu: I'm sure Mínoka will like your cookies too, Kero.
*Tsuyu said with a knowing smile that made Eri blush and looked down at her patch or heart-shaped cookies with a small smile.*
Eri, I sure hope so.
