chapter 26

*Izuku put a pillow over his head and groaned loudly; he didn't have to see; he could hear and feel everyone having a smug smile and some chuckling, while in the background, no one noticed that Eri was silently laughing her guts out. Well, almost anybody noticed.

Eri,I need to see if I have a second quirk and then buy a lottery ticket magneto. This is comedy gold.

Kaina"interesting"

Izuku:ANYWAY!!!

Zuku said, taking his head off of the pillow as he glared at Tsuyu, who just smiled and kissed his lips, making him blush and smile back with a sigh.

Izuku: I hate you so much right now, my froggy princess.

Tsuyu: I love you too, my burned knight.

*Both gave each other a cute bunny kiss before Izuku looked at his family.*

Izuku:Anyway, we didn't tell you guys because, quite honestly, it just never came to mind for us. We're more busy just trying to keep our heads above water emotionally. Hate us if you want, but that's the truth.

Everyone remained silent for a bit before Inko sighed and nodded her head.

Inko, alright, then who else knows about you?

Izuku: Depends if you mean where we live with Tsuyu's family, Momo and Eri. You can add Kyoka Jirou, but only in my shop.

Tsuyu: For me, Tokoyami, I'm also sorry I didn't tell you about that, Izuku. it's just....

Izuku, oh, I already knew about that.

Tsuyu: I know you knew, but...wait, the hell do you mean you knew? How could you have known?

Izuku was lucky, and NFY gave me this lovely present.

Zuku said, smirking as he took out his phone and played a certain video of Tsuyu and Tokoyami in the coffee shop.

Tsuyu:your wrong tokoyami I went out with you because I thought you could help me get over my crush with Izuku, and you did. I now love Izuku with all my heart, and if you think that for a second I would be unfaithful to him, don't even fucking try to deny it. We both know you came here to try, and what will win me back? I got your pathetic, but I have to thank you. You made me see just how rare someone like Izuku is. You threw me in the darkness, but Izuku gave me the light to walk and threw it to the other side.

Tsuyu blushed deeply as her anger for the part-time workers grew exponentially.

Tsuyu: Those two are so dead.

Izuku: Come on, I found it so loving to hear you say that you have no idea how much I needed to hear your voice, to hear you say that while you were in Africa.

*Izuku kissed her cheek, making her stay quiet and just croak.*

Inko: You two are just adorable, and you

*Inko turned around to Eri, making her flinch and rubbing her arm. Looking at the ground, Eri felt Inko's hand on her head.*

Inko: I missed you so much, baby...

*Tears started to fall from Eri's face as she hugged Inko, who hugged her back.*

Eri, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry...

Eri kept saying sorry; that's all she could say. The poor girl had so much stress on her mind and so much to deal with that she could barely say anything else. Izutsuyu managed to keep their heads above water emotionally, but Eri? Her head was submerged in the water; she was drowning. She needed help, but she couldn't ask for it, so this hug meant more to Eri than what she could ever express.

1 week later

*So Izuku was finally out of the hospital, much to his enjoyment. We see him resting comfortably in his lazy boy while Tsuyu was sitting on top of him cuddling while they watch fast and furious, Tsuyu sniffling. Since that song always made her weepy, Izuku smirked.

Izuku: It's been a long day...

Tsuyu:no.....

Izuku: Without you, my friend...

Tsuyu:no,no,no

Izuku: And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.

Tsuyu: Izuku, you bastard, stop singing! Kero!!

*Before Izuku could sing anymore, the door was knocked. They looked at each other confused, not expecting visitors. Tsuyu got off of Izuku while he got up and walked to the door, opening it. He flinched and then frowned, as before him was Tsuyu's family, Beru, Satsuki, and Samidare. Ganma was nowhere to be seen. Since he's keeping Tsuyu's promise of leaving her alone, Satsuki and Samidare frowned, looking at Izuku while Beru had an awkward smile on her face, trying to keep her children in line.

Beru: Hello, Midoriya, it's very nice to see you again.

Izuku: Miss Asui, you look well. Is there a reason for this visit?

Beru: Ah, you see, my daughter told me you were in the hospital. My condolences, by the way, and that we should come back today for a visit. Is she here?

*Tsuyu appeared behind Izuku, putting her hand on his shoulder.*

Tsuyu: Sorry, Zuku. I forgot to tell you about this kero.

Izuku: it's fine I'll make some refreshments while you all catch up.

*Izuku said as he walked away, and so there they stood, the Asui family looking at each other, Beru again being the one to break the ice.*

Beru, you look beautiful today, honey.

Tsuyu: Thank you, please come in.

*Beru and her children walked inside; Beru was slightly impressed as the inside looked so rustic.*

Beru, you have such a beautiful home.

Tsuyu: Thanks. I wish I could take credit, but Inko Midoriya did it all.

Beru: Ah, yes, how...is she?

*Tsuyu noticed how uncomfortable it was when she mentioned Inko before she could question the sounds of keys unlocking the door. Izuku and Tsuyu looked, and if today couldn't get worse, it was Inko and Ryuko.*

Izuku". I don't know how, but I blame Madam Quackadoo for this."

Ryuko:HELLOOOOOOO!!!! Cub, you better not be in the kitchen cooking because we have a feast!!

Inko: You say feast; I call it an abomination.

Ryuko: It's pure protein, my love! Why i.....

*Inko and Ryuko froze as they walked further in and saw Beru and her children looking at them. Ryuko instantly frowned as she glanced at the kitchen and saw her son walking towards them with snacks and tea in a dish tray.*

Izuku: Now, before someone does something, they might regret it, mom. I'm looking at you.

Ryuko: Hey, I have more self-control than that!

Izuku: I meant my other mother.

*Ryuko looked at Inko and flinched. She was smiling yes, but it wasn't the kind smile she fell in love with. No, it was an angry, holding-back smile.

Izuku: Mother, it's your favorite tea, camomile. Please have some and relax. How about we all sit down and talk like adults while the kids go to Tsuyu's game room?

Beru: I wouldn't mind that, but Tsuyu, could you stay and play with them? I really mostly came here so your siblings could see you.

*Tsuyu looked at Izuku with slight concern for everyone else. She was giving him a neutral look, but Izuku could see the slight change in her face: how her nose moved slightly, her lips became thinner, and her eyes—the beautiful eyes of Tsuyu—were slightly smaller. Yes, Izuku could see it all.

Izuku: Don't worry, I'll stay. I'll stay here and make sure they don't kill each other.

Satsuki: Good, because we don't want you with us.

*Satsuki muttered, but not soft enough as they all heard it. *Samidare grabbed Tsuyu's hand and walked away, almost dragging her to the room. *Izuku sighed and looked at the three mothers in his living room.

Izuku: So, who wants some tea?

Later

*We see Izuku sitting next to Ryuko, both sipping their tea nervously as they glanced between Beru and Inko; this time it was Inko who broke the silence.

Inko: You are a horrible mother.

Izuku;mom!

Inko: Hush izuku grown ups are talking.

*Inko said in a tone that Izuku was shocked to hear. Never in his life would he imagine Inko using that tone with him, but it was enough to shut him up. * Beru gave a hollow chuckle.

Beru:i know...

Inko: You're a mother. I expected so much better out of you. What kind of mother won't even pick up the damn phone when her child calls them?

Beru:I...I tried...

*Beru tried to say it in a pitiful tone, but Inko was having none of that as her glare towards Beru became worse. "

Inko: You tried? YOU TRIED?!!

*Into stood up her cup falling from her hands and shattering on the floor, but no one noticed of that.*

Inko: You should've done your best, not fucking try!! You should've taken your children and left the second that poor excuse of a father puts his hands on her daughter!! A father should never put his hands on his own child, for fucks sake!!. I know damn well I would've left of my significant other ever harmed a hair on Izuku's body; he's my son; he's my goddamn child; he comes first before anything! I don't care if it was my own mother or Jesus Christ himself!!. Tsuyu was alone. She was scared. She needed a parent's love!! If she were my daughter, she would've been my priority.!! Hell, she was my priority!! While you never picked up the phone, I did! The second I heard her crying and asking for help, I didn't ask why; I just asked for her directions. I gave that girl a home, I gave her food, I gave her everything you should've given her, and I would do it again without a second thought!

*Inko sat back down, breathing heavily, as she finally got to speak her mind to this woman she wanted to give a piece of. For so damn long, no one talked much. After that, Inko got a new cup, and the 4 of them stayed there, drinking in silence, until Tsuyu and her siblings came back, both kids ready to leave with grins on their faces, happy to have spent time with her older sister. Beru took solace in her two children's smiles. She failed her oldest, but she refused to make the same mistake twice, giving Tsuyu a quick peck on the cheek as a goodbye.

Meanwhile, with Eri

*We see her in her room alone. Kyoka and Momo were off at work, so there she lay alone, listening to music. Her room was void of any type of light as Eri wanted to be in the darkness. It's been a tough day for our little Eri, a tough week, a tough month, with dealing with the izuku haters, to Satsuki's non-stop borderline harassment, to Nejire's betrayal, to everything. She was just 14 and dealing so much with no one to help. She loved her mother of that there was no question, but she worked long hours so she couldn't always be there. Even when she is, Eri can't find the strength to tell her since momo is already going through so much. She's happy that her father is back in her life, but she just can't get used to this new normal. She doesn't want to hate Tsuyu, but part of her does and blames her for her parents not being together. Eri felt alone; she felt like she couldn't talk to anybody. She felt as if she were falling deeper and deeper into an ocean, drowning, and she couldn't figure out how to get out, which brings her here.

Eri: just a little bit today...

*Eri muttered to herself as she got up and went to her Bookshelf opening a book that had all it's pages cut in the middle to make room for something that should not be there a box cutter, Eri's hand trembled slightly as she grabbed the damn thing putting it to her arm she closed her eyes and inhale a sharp breath before she slashed across her arm, she did that over and over again until her arm was filled with shallow cut before she let go of the air she was holding she opened her eyes and saw what she did she saw the redness of the cuts, saw the blood starting to come out and god help her she didn't want to stop she knew this was wrong extremely wrong but she didn't care it helped her it made her feel like she was in control of something in her life*

Momo:Eri I'm home early. Where are you?!

Eri heard the muffled voice of her mother. Eri panicked and put the box cutter back in the book, putting it on the shelf. As for the cuts? Eri used the rewind to erase them as if it never happened.

Eri:coming mom!!

Eri said, smiling as she walked away from her room like nothing happened.
