TBS IMAGINE GBGL-3 (AU)
Knees wobbling, you slumped on the floor with tears falling down your face. You didn't care if anyone will see you like that, hell no, losing your virginity with someone whom you thought loved you was far more embarrassing than anything that you could imagine. Your mind was swirling with thoughts about what happened and what would happen to you now.
You didn't notice the redhead slipping awkwardly away from you and Thomas. She only wanted to sleep with your now ex-boyfriend so she tried not to be part of any petty dramas early in the morning. At least that was what she thought as she waved goodbye to Thomas who was staring at you.
"Why did you have to lie to me? Why did you use me like that? DON'T YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT MY PURITY IS FOR ME?!" you yelled at him as you threw everything from your bag. He dodged it effortlessly but he didn't see your bag coming right at him.
He fell off his feet too, slightly bumping his head on the wall beside him. He groaned and you stopped crying as you saw him clutching his head. You got worried but was reminded of what he had done to you. You scooted closer to him, and he gawked at you, thinking that you would help him or something like that.
But he was wrong. You punched him repeatedly, not caring where your punches would land. "I f*cking hate you! I hate you! You're a liar!"
"Stop, Y/N!" he said and held both of your arms. He looked so mad and you were actually scared for your life. You thought he will hurt you but was surprised when his finger brushed just under your nostrils. When he pulled it back, you saw the trail of blood on it. You gasped and felt lightheaded as the red liquid registered on your head.
"Your nose. It's bleeding," he said and stood up. He picked you up, his arm going under your legs, while the other held you on your back. You wiggled out of his grip but he his hold just tightened.
"Put me down!" you tried to shout but it came out as a mumble as you felt all the energy left your body.
"Just. Stop. Let me carry you to the clinic then I'll put you down. Please, Y/N. Just let me do this one," he whispered in a low-tune. You hinted the sadness on his voice and that shut you up quickly.
You were aware that your face was beet red but you looked away to hide it. You felt butterflies in your stomach and you cursed yourself for feeling this way. He had done the biggest mistake that anyone could do to you, but your heart betrayed you as it beat so fast at the sight of him.
You still could not grasp the fact that he cheated at you just a few moments ago, then you tried to kill him with your school stuff, and he was now carrying you bridal style.
"What the hell," you thought as he opened the door to the clinic.
The nurse inside stood up as she saw the both of you. "What happened to her?" she asked.
"Nosebleed," Thomas stated and put you down on the empty bed.
"Let me check on her." The nurse walked towards you and studied your face. She picked up a box of tissue and wiped your nose with it. You tried to get it from her but swatted your hand away. "No, just relax honey. I can do this," she said and you nodded. "So, what happened?"
You looked at Thomas as if saying, "Tell her what you did. Tell her that you cheated on me!" And he awkwardly shifted on his feet. "Well, we kind of had a fight."
Her eyes widened and a cute "Oh!" escaped her lips. Then as if remembering something, she pointed an accusing finger at the boy. "Did you hurt her?! Did you pushed her or hit her face?! I swear to everything holy that if you did, I'm going to kick your pony-loving butt!"
You and Thomas were shocked at the sudden outburst of the nurse as she dampened a wet tissue on your nose. She lifted your head and pinched your nose to keep the blood from dripping. You could feel it ran down back to where it came from, although you tasted the stale taste of it.
You snorted as you saw Thomas' reaction. His eyes were wide as saucers, his mouth was gaping open, and his whole face was turning pink. "I did nothing of that! She found out I was cheating on her when just the day before yesterday we made love in her house! I didn't hit her! She was the one who punched me and threw things at me! She cr-"
And before you could even react to his words, you heard a loud smack and was horrified as the nurse slapped him on the side of his cheek. Thomas was obviously appalled and hurt was evident in his eyes as he ran out of the room, leaving you and the dumbfounded nurse alone.
"I can't believe I did that," she told you as your eyes met. You didn't know what had gotten into you but you burst out laughing at what happened.
"You should have seen his face!" you exclaimed and the nurse hummed gleefully.
"I'm sorry for doing that, but he's a jerk. He shouldn't have done that. That was utter bullcrap, really," she replied and you nodded in approval.
The grin on your face was completely replaced by a sad smile as you thought back. "I honestly don't know what happened. We were fine, you know. Then all of a sudden... he just cheated," you said. Tears welled again in your eyes and you could not help but cry.
She embraced you with one arm since her other hand was still pinching your nose. "It's okay sweetheart. Cry it out." She rubbed your back and you felt a little better.
"I love him. So much that I gave him everything..." and you told the nurse everything. From the dare to the game; from your sweet relationships to this shitty one you just had. She was intently listening to you, trying to tell you comforting words when necessary.
After a few moments, you wiped your tears and smiled at thanked her. You heard the lunch bell rang and you asked if you could already leave.
"Yeah sure, just drink this then you're free to go. Just go back here when you have another incident like this, okay? Or if your headache or feel dizzy," she said as she handed you a bottle of water and a paracetamol.
You left as soon as you thanked her again and got her name. "Olivia," you kept repeating it at your head.
You went back to the hallway from earlier to look for your stuff, hoping that it was still there. When you turn the corner, you sighed grudgingly as you did not saw it there. A janitor walked by and you sprinted towards him.
"Excuse me. Have you seen a bag lying around here somewhere?" you asked him.
"Oh I didn't, I'm sorry. I'll keep an eye out for it, don't worry," he said and smiled. You thanked him as you looked for Thomas, thinking that he might have had some heart and picked it up for you.
You went to the cafeteria but he wasn't there. However, you saw your "friend", Katherine, at your usual table with the redhead this morning. You frowned as you stared at the two of them laughing.
Shaking your head, you strolled around the school, trying to find the brown-haired boy whose eyes make you feel closer to the heavens. You checked the backfield, you even went to the parking lot, but no Thomas was in sight. You sighed and decided to just go get your book for your next subject.
On your way to your locker, you passed by the music room, and something clicked in your head. Your feet brought you inside on their own accord, and you stared at the grand piano sitting on the middle of the room.
You hopped towards it and was shaking from head to toe as you run your fingers along the smooth keys. You decided to play a few notes, then that few notes turned into a whole song.
You still remembered how you used to play the piano until middle school. You remembered all the time you practised with your Dad at the attic, all the songs you played for your Mom, and all the melodies you and your best friend made.
Your best friend.
That boy who was smaller than you. That lanky kid whose hair was coloured like the golden sun, and whose eyes shined at the sound your fingers made as it pressed expertly on the black and white keys. That boy you defended from the big bullies in your school and even promised his life just to keep you safe.
And as your mind was filled with thoughts of him, your fingers automatically played a song you knew by heart; his favourite song that both of you wrote.
Your heart ached for him. You wanted to see him so bad but you knew you couldn't. The song took you back 8 years ago when his face was turned on you as his parents drove away from your house. Those sad eyes with tears on them, and also that smile that was trying its best to cheer you up.
That was the last time you saw him.
Your fingers hovered the piano as you finished the song. You wiped away the tears that escaped your eyes and walked out of the room faster than the Flash.
And that was when you saw Thomas, talking to Nathalie. His fists were clenched as he was trying to stop himself from strangling the hell out of your friend.
And just like what happened in the past, his words crumbled your defences again.
"I like her, okay?! But rest assured that I will never fall in love with her because I'm already in love with someone else," he said loud enough for you to hear.
"And who might that be?" Nathalie asked.
Sighing, he closed his eyes and a small smile painted his lips. "She was my childhood best friend. The one who helped me against those bullies when I was still that weak nerd in grade school." Your heart raced at his words, holding your breath as you tried to listen to their conversation. you felt like it was something you should know about.
"The one who plays the piano?"
"Yes. And the one who played my favourite song. Nat, I'm in love with the girl who composed Get Broken Or Get Loved. I'm in love with my best friend."
And you felt the entire world stopped, and so was your head. The only thing that was going through it was the fact that you were the one who composed that song.
You were the composer of Get Broken or Get Loved.
You were the girl Thomas was in love with.
And he was your best friend.
