Y/N wakes up

Thomas's P.O.V

Thomas slowly opened his eyes and yawned as he came to.

"Morning." He yawned, stretching out with his eyes still closed. He opened his eyes as he didn't get a response from Y/N. He looked to his side and sat up as she wasn't in the bed with him. He looked around the shack, but she wasn't there at all.

"Y/N?" he called out. Suddenly, Newt appeared at the doorway, panting.

"What's wrong?" Thomas asked.

"It's Y/N." Newt panted, clearly out of breath. Thomas's eyes widened and he darted out of bed before following Newt to the medical shack. He rushed in and his eyes widened as Minho and Frypan pinned Y/N to the bed, restraining her by her arms as she cried out and flailed around.

"What the fuck happened?" Thomas choked, making Minho look at him.

"I found her in the woods this morning. She was frozen to the touch. At first, I thought she was dead. Good news is that, obviously, she isn't dead. Bad news is that she was out there because she's been stung." Minho admitted. Thomas choked and held his hands behind his head.

"No. No. This can't be happening." He choked.

"We used one of the cure vials on her, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm sorry, mate." Newt sighed. Thomas shook his head as he pushed Frypan out of the way so that he was next to Y/N.

"Be careful. That's not the Y/N we know. She doesn't recognise me." Minho spoke, a tear falling from his eye. Thomas sighed and looked down at her.

"She'll recognise me." He nodded as he gently cupped her cheek. Immediately her whimpers quietened and she stopped flailing around.

"Y/N? Can you hear me?" Thomas gulped. She didn't respond, but her body relaxed and she leant into his touch.

"It's actually working." Minho scoffed.

"Keep going." Newt nodded. Thomas returned it.

"Come back to us, Y/N. Everything is going to be okay, we'll make it through this, but you have to come back to us." He choked, another tear falling from his eye.

Y/N's P.O.V

I sat in my room, reading a book as I waited to be called for dinner. My eyebrows furrowed as I heard something. I sat up and looked at the vent, where the noise was coming from. My eyes widened as the vent grate flew off and Thomas crawled out of it.

"Thomas." I groaned.

"Hey." He chuckled as he stood up.

"You scared me." I sighed, standing from my bed. He fake-pouted as he wrapped his arms around my waist, landing his hands on my lower back.

"Aww, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare my favourite girl." He cooed.

"Uh huh." I sighed. He smiled before leaning down and kissing me. I returned it eagerly, playing with the hairs at the nape of his neck.

"Is there a reason that you crawled into my room, yet again?" I asked as I pulled away.

"Nah. I just felt like seeing you." He shrugged. I chuckled and shook my head before kissing him again.

I walked along to Janson's office and was about to knock on the door, but stopped as I heard him talking to someone.

"What you're going to do is crucial. You must be prepared to betray the other people in the maze." Janson spoke.

"Of course. I'm one hundred percent willing. Anything to find the cure." My eyes widened as it was Teresa.

"It'll mean that you indirectly lead to the deaths of your friends." Janson warned, making my eyes widen further.

"The lives of a few teenagers are a tiny price to pay." Teresa responded. I gulped as I realised that I had to get out of here. My life depended on it. I whipped around and gasped as I immediately ran into someone's chest.

"Woah, woah, you okay?" Thomas chuckled, looking at me as he held my upper arms.

"We have to get out of this place." I gulped. Thomas's eyebrows furrowed.

"What are you talking about, Y/N?" he asked.

"Come with me." I spoke, taking his hand and running down the corridor.

I pulled Thomas into my room and locked the door behind us.

"Y/N, what's going on? Talk to me, babe." He spoke, cupping my face.

"They're killing people, WICKD is killing people, and Teresa is helping them do it." I choked. Thomas's eyes widened.

"What are you talking about?" he scoffed.

"I overheard her talking to Janson. He said something about her helping to kill her friends by betraying them. Wherever WICKD sends us, they send us there to die." I gulped. Thomas returned it.

"We need to get out of here, now-."

"Open up, Y/N!" my eyes widened and I whipped around as Janson's voice sounded at my door.

"We know that you're in there! And we know that Thomas is too!" he yelled.

"Babe." Thomas mumbled as he took my arm and gently pulled me back to him. I looked up at him.

"We're in this together, right?" I choked. He looked down at me.

"Until our last breath." He nodded. I gulped and returned it before looking at the door as it burst open and Janson strolled in.

"Well, well, well. It looks like the two of you need to be silenced." He smirked before men with guns stormed in and shot a dart into my neck.

"Y/N, no!" Thomas screamed as he caught me in his arms as I collapsed.

"Stay with me, Y/N, stay with me." He nodded, gently cupping my cheek.

"I love you." I whispered before closing my eyes.

"No! Y/N, no!"

My eyes flew open and I gasped as I shot up into a sitting position. Thomas's eyes widened as he looked at me.

"Y/N, oh my god, you're alive." He choked, tightly hugging me.

"Just." I gulped. He pulled away slightly but his face dropped as he saw the tears running down my face.

"What's wrong? Talk to me." He spoke softly, cupping my cheek. I gulped.

"I had memories." I spoke. He looked at me.

"What memories?" he asked. I sighed and looked down.

"I know that Teresa is a traitor." I admitted. His eyes widened.

"How do you know that?" he asked.

"I found out before I was sent here. I overheard a conversation that she had with this man called Janson. But that's not the only thing I remember." I spoke. He looked at me.

"What's the other thing?" he asked. I looked at him.

"We were together. Before this place. We kissed in my memories, you were the last person I saw before being sent into the maze." I admitted. His eyes widened.

"Well that explains a lot." He chuckled awkwardly before looking at me.

"Do you know what all of this means, Thomas? Teresa has killed us all." I choked. Thomas sighed and looked down.

"I know." He admitted. My eyebrows furrowed.

"What?" I scoffed. He sighed and looked back at me.

"I know. I've known for a long time." He gulped. My eyes widened.

"But...why didn't you say anything...why didn't you do anything?" I choked.

"I did. Teresa and I were together when she told me. I broke up with her because of it, but I knew that if I told the others, they'd insist on putting her into the maze to die. I still loved her then, and nothing bad had happened yet because of her involvement, so I thought that breaking up with her would be enough." He admitted. I choked and looked down.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. I should have said something before now, I just...I didn't want to lose you." He choked, taking my hand and looking at me with broken eyes. I sighed and shook my head.

"You'll never lose me, Thomas. I promise." I reassured. He sighed in relief and nodded before leaning forward and hugging me tightly.
