-Chapter Six-
Contemplation

The day seemed to come and go as Valerie and I had spend nearly the whole day talking and watching movies. When Braxton came back to the lake house he greeted my sister warmly and together the three of us prepared dinner.

"So Val, how are you enjoying this years college experience?" Braxton asked.

I could tell talking with her seemed a little forced, I felt a little bad for that considering I flipped out when I found out he and Val had gone to dinner together last year.

"Oh" I watched as she pushed around the food on her plate in an attempt to avoid eye contact...perhaps this was just as awkward for her as it was for him. "If I'd have gone to school straight out of high school I'd be done already...but being my second year isn't too bad, I had to unfortunately pull out of the sorority...I really want to focus and just graduate, and while the Greek life was fun and all, it was actually pretty exhausting."

"Exhausting?" I asked.

She nodded, "yeah we were constantly doing fundraiser for various organizations and small businesses, when we weren't doing that we had to do a lot of volunteering and to remain relevant to the other Greek houses we would put in the occasional party which of course is a bitch to clean up afterward...you know I got in because I thought it would be constant partying but to be honest that chapter really only had three big parties throughout the school year."

"Well didn't you enjoy any part of it?" Braxton asked.

"Oh don't get me wrong I really loved being in the sorority...raising money for hardworking charities, helping others who truly need the help, and being in the House means you have to maintain a certain grade point average."
She filled us in. "So in a lot of ways the organization humbled me and also gave me a better grip at being a decent human being, it also taught me how to really focus on school and set up study zones...kinda wish I had a study partner or group I could join, but I know it's kinda late in the school game to just jump into someone's established study group."

"Oh Braxton, what about Ryder?" I suggested.

He looked at me and smiled, "That's not a bad idea Gorgeous...I can set you up with my best friend Ryder if you're serious about studying a little harder." Braxton sounded.

"I remember Ryder." She recalled, "He was the one who helped you move, right?"

I nodded, "Yeah, Val he'd be a great study partner...he's in school to be a pediatrician so all he knows is studying." I smiled.

"I couldn't impose." She said, a slight blush dusting her already pinked cheeks.

"No imposition, as your sister said, Ryder's practically a professional student...trust me he really won't mind."

"Oh, well thank you."

We talked a little longer before Valerie excused herself to have a shower and go to bed (as I'd convinced her to stay the night). I went up to get her some pajamas that I'd purchased in case we have company over.

"Hey thanks for letting me stay here."

"Any time." I nodded.

"And uh...thanks for the whole study partner suggestion...I really am serious about buckling down and getting my head into the books, as much as I love learning about the subject, I kinda hate being in class so I'm trying to graduate early."

"I think that's great Val."

She smirked and shrugged, "The more I think about it I feel kinda lazy for wanting to sort of get it over and done with...but, c-can we just keep that part to ourselves...I don't want to look like a failure if I can't graduate early ya know."

I nodded, it seemed like I wasn't the only one worried about what others would think, "No problem." I said as I handed her the pajamas, "I've got a dress you can wear tomorrow."

"Eh it's cool, I can just rock this back home." She said as she looked down at her high-waisted jeans and vivid red mid-drift top, something I personally could never pull off.

"Well we're just down the hall if you need anything." I said.

"Harper, I'm fine...go and enjoy your night with your man." She said with a slightly suggestive hint in her words.

I blushed and turned to leave.

Once I had cleaned the dining room and Braxton and I finished up the dishes together, he had some work to finish up while I went online to finish up an assignment that was no where near due but I needed to kill some time and I also welcomed the distraction of the gnawing pain that was beginning to arise from within.

"I'm going up to bed Handsome."

"Oh hang on and I'll go with you." He said.

I smiled and walked into the office and watched him finish up.

"What are you looking at Gorgeous." He asked playfully as he caught me staring at him.

I shrugged, "You always look so handsome when you're lost in thought or concentration." I admitted.

"Well thank you...but I really am done now, you ready?" He asked as he held his hand out for mine."

I smiled and gladly took his hand before we began to make our way up the stairs.

"So I've been thinking." I said as I turned down the bed.

He pulled his shirt over his head and stood bare chest as he now gave me his full and undivided attention, "what's up gorgeous?"

Heat flamed through my veins as my heart beat sped up, my breathing became heavy and I squeezed my eyes shut in an attempt to reign in the on pouring of instant lust for him.

It actually took me a moment.

"You okay?" He asked gently, I could hear the genuine concern in his words.

I nodded, "just needed a moment," I said as I finally opened my eyes, I focused in on his eyes as I continued talking. "So I was mulling some things over and contemplating...I want you to mark me-"

I could see the excitement in his eyes flare up instantly.

I held my hand up before he took it too far, "hey there Alpha, reel it in please...I want to add that while I do want you to mark me, I don't want to be marked like this...well not my official luna marking."

"What do you mean?" He asked more than a little confused,

"Well When I say that I mean...Ellie and Mariah have clearly taken their mates marks, and it didn't mark them as a Luna...is there a way you could mark me without everyone knowing?"

"Gorgeous the point of my mark is so that people can then recognize and acknowledge that you are the mate of an Alpha...more so that you are a Luna."

I sighed. "Oh...I just assumed..."

"Hey, I'm new to this too remember...and I mean, I could try to mark you without officially marking you." He offered sweetly. "D-did you have a spot in mind?"

I forgot that he'd technically have to love bite me...and I blushed.

I shook my head, "Surprise me?"

That was all it took before his wolf woke up.

I got into the bed as I watched his eyes black out, everything was burning for his touch, and I knew immediately that he could feel my pure want for him because he didn't miss a beat as his mouth came crashing down on mine.

But things went very fast after that.

My clothes was literally ripped off of me with his quick attempts to have his way with me.

Our kisses were hot and filled with lust and passion.

I was desperate to feel his mouth everywhere as his skilled fingers reminded me just how much I truly missed his intimate touch.

As I let pleasure build within me I mindlessly stroked the back of his head and slightly guided his mouth to each expose breast.

"You need to rest Gorgeous."I heard him talking but his words didn't register.He chuckled a little before he laid back against the bed and gently pulled me alongside him.

I somehow lazily turned so I could hook my leg over his middle and I kissed his chest.

"I love you."

He kissed my forehead now, "I love you more...now go to sleep my Love."

I smiled and closed my eyes as I had no trouble finding sleep whatsoever.
