Crystal's Perspective

Becoming a Cupid was not my idea. Being a Matchmaking Agent is harder than it seems. I've seen a lot of heartbreaks for over a century and yet my heart still felt empty.
I've fallen in love once. I didn't know that Cal was a Cupid. All those times with him back then, I WAS the happiest woman. Who would have ever thought that he kept his identity from me?
He never mentioned anything to me. And when he did, it was too late. I woke up still unable to process what has happened to me. Cal...
I swore, I will never fall in love again. Not when I'm already a Cupid, a matchmaking agent, who is under an oath. Cupids can never be matched.

Rules changed.
I may seem cold and heartless when in fact, I like the feeling of being in love. You share good times and bad.
I hugged myself. I gazed at the closet as I heard unusual sounds before it popped open. Cupid, Klaus, and Tony (Cupid's son) looked at me with horror.
Cal came in and we shared cold gazes.
I scolded the elders for trespassing but smiled at Tony.
Cal smirked. Everyone has left yet he stood there. Blushes tainting his cheeks.
I ignored him.
A new match popped up from the computer screen but it shut down when I was about to check it.
The very same thing happened when Cupid's match appeared.
Who on earth will hack our system when the problems with Cupid and Klaus were over?
I need to get a hold of this case. I can't relax. The Agency is still under my name.
I'm paranoid. At the same time tensed. I strode towards the rooftop and screamed in frustration.
Someone hugged me from the back and I felt a prickle on my spine. A familiar sensation crept over my system.
It was Cal. The same old Cal that I met. Soft and warm, unlike the Cal-under-the-oath-of-the-cupids.

The walls I built between us began crumbling as I turned to him.
Fireworks exploded.
Cupid and Klaus descended from the sleigh. Lila came with Charlie and Tony.
Cupid grinned mischievously as Cal gave an icy glare.

Everyone is cheering but Cal ignored them and touched my face and hooked my chin. I averted my eyes to avoid his knowing gaze. That remark, "Your pupils..." he paused as Cupid kept singing deafly with Klaus' song. "Be quiet, Cupid! Its too loud in here!" He scolded causing everyone in awe.
Everyone made their excuses. I wanted to leave. To avoid drawing to Cal. But he seized me and let the others go. "Don't run..."
I can hear my heartbeats as I looked into his longing eyes. He advanced towards me and all I could do is close my eyes until our lips met.
My heart betrayed me. I'm still in love with him.
The match has been made. Long ago...
