Louise Rose

.

I pulled out mine from my bag and compared them.

Oh my God. Is this for real? No. It can't be.

SAXE

The initial itself on the G-Dragon coming from my bag made my heart lose another heartbeat.

Why did I never think of it?

Saxe Hendrix Mondragon. Shit. It's him!

I clenched my teeth and quickly stashed mine back into my bag as Hendrix approached me. I blinked, clearing my mind, but the heck. No matter how fast I blinked, the image of Hendrix got into me.

He owns the G-Dragon. It's his G-Dragon!

"You did not get in?"

"No. Uhm, I prefer to wait," I return the key with the G-Dragon charm, swallowing the sand stuck in my throat.

"Come on in. I hope we are not late for the show." He checked the time on his wristwatch and then walked past me. He opened the passenger door and looked at me before walking back to his side. I nodded and took a deep breath as I stepped in.

Should I ask? I should, right?

The ignition started, and I waited for the car to reach the main road before asking.

"Uhm, that G-Dragon keychain is cute."

I need more information to confirm his ownership of the item inside me.

He glanced down at his side of the steering wheel and then returned his eyes to the road.

"I lost mine. I don't know where. But now I'm using Eleanor's spare one," his jaw clenches. "It's our individuality thing for the little boy.

My heart beats much faster.

I was right. He was the owner!

"What did yours look like?" I smiled. I was hoping it was not him, but the probability is close to eighty percent.

"It's the same as this one, but I have an initial. My first name."

"Oh. . . SAXE?"

The air seemed constricted, and I felt the lump stuck in between the air of my esophagus, and I coughed.

"You, all right?"

"Yes, yes, I'm okay. I think I just swallowed a fly," I pursed my lips, and he chuckled.

"That's the worst excuse I heard today, Louise. Make sure that the fly did not swallow the spider, or else you will end up swallowing a horse soon," he laughed.

I faked a smile, and my face warmed. "What a joke," I mumbled.

He seemed to be in high spirits. His pretentious traits were misplaced, and today, he treated me like a genuine fiancée.

"Oh, and you need this." He swiftly opened the side compartment, retrieved a small black box, and handed it to me.

"You have to put that on. My mother will be there."

"Oh, yeah. That's right." My hands tremble as I open the package. A breathtaking pear-shaped sparkling diamond ring greets me, and it feels like another lump is forming in my throat.

Oh heck. Am I dreaming? Don't wake me up, please.

"I hope this is not a real diamond," I chuckled as I put it on my finger. It fit perfectly, and it was so beautiful. For a minute, I felt so loved and wonderful.

Wow, this is what it feels like to receive a ring from someone like him.

"That's a real diamond, Louise. I don't give a fake one to my woman."

The 'my woman' made me melt. I just want to keep him as my real man.

We arrived at the auction thirty minutes before it started. Hendrix assisted me and grabbed a cocktail and a scotch for him. I looked around, and my eyes showed interest in some of the art on display. The place was out of this world, and the architect inside was like in the magazines. All the people dressed elegantly, and the ambiance socialized a high status.

Hendrix found our spot and pulled out a chair for me to sit on. This small table is only suitable for two people. It has a beautiful flower in the middle and a gold-coated candle with glimmers around it, mixed with rose petals.

"Thank you."

"You're most welcome, Louise." He sat down across from me.

A waiter came over and presented the menu. I allowed Hendrix to place the order for me. I'm still quite full. I had a big meal at Eleanor's place, but I'm okay with having a light meal and a sweet dessert.

"I didn't know that you are interested in some arts?" I tasted the cocktail, and it was perfect. I could feel the kick inside my throat.

"Just one of my hobbies. I'm supporting a friend who happens to be my cousin. He owned the place."

"Oh, I see," I said. "That's cool." My eyes couldn't stop moving around even though I had a drink in my mouth. I couldn't help it.

"How many cousins do you have?"

"Hundreds," he scoffed. "In both sides. And most of them are crazy," he smiled mischievously.

"Crazy enough to make events like this." His eyes set a distance forward like he was looking at someone ahead. He then raises his glass of drink.

I turned my head to where he was looking and saw the person in a black suit smiling at him.

"That's my cousin Bryce."

Soon enough, his cousin walked towards us. Hendrix and I stood up.

"Hendrix, bro. Looking great?"

They shake hands, and Bryce pats Hendrix's shoulder before looking at me. He is tall, dark, and handsome, of course.

No wonder the two are cousins, and there's something in their appearance that makes them hot and appealing.

"This is Louise Rose," Hendrix introduced me to him.

"Lovely to meet you, Louise." Bryce extended his hand, and I accepted it.

"The pleasure is mine," I said.

"The auction will start soon. Did you have a look to see if there's something that caught your interest, Louise?" Bryce asked.

"No. I have not yet, but I will shortly."

"Okay. Please inform Hendrix which one to choose before I include them in the bidding lineup."

"Yes. I will. Not a problem. Thank you for that."

I'm not really a big fan of paintings and antiques, but I heard that most millionaires or billionaires invest their money in this type of business. I appreciate that business for them, but not for me because I don't have the money.

Hendrix and Bryce giggled as they whispered, their eyes locked on the same topic. I didn't listen to them as I could hardly understand their conversation. So, instead of standing in front of them like a robot, I excused myself to check out the paintings around me.

I almost poked my eyes out when I saw the price of one of the paintings on display - it cost a fortune. I felt small yet inspired.

One day, when I become a billionaire, I will buy an octopus painting like this.

Octopus run, price: $999,999.99

Hendrix

.

"Item? Fiancée? She's hot, Hendrix. Fucking hot."

I bite my inside cheeks, and my eyes follow Louise amongst the crowd. She gazed around and fixated on the octopus painting, standing still for a few minutes, lost in thought.

I wonder what's on her mind? I would love to know.

I had a good time with her today. My plan works smoothly, and I like how it plays around.

Eleanor likes her. She's easy to be with. Even little Axton asked me, but I did not tell him much because I didn't want to disappoint the little boy.

"Keep her if you want." Bryce is now standing in front of me, blocking my view of Louise.

"What the. . . MOVE," my brows met.

He laughs. "Look at you? You like her. I know."

I hissed and turned my back to get more drinks. He follows me.

"Keeping her might do you good, Hendrix. But fucking her will get you mad. I can see that will happen."

I bite my lower lip and grab another drink. I feel like drinking a whole bottle of scotch, but this is not the right place to get drunk.

My eyes found Louise again as she slowly moved to another painting beside the octopus, attempting to compare them. She looked at the one beside it.

I chuckled and shook my head.

"I see your mother. Good luck," Bryce whispered. "I'll great the Madame. Go and get your woman," he chuckled.

I finished my drink quickly and then walked over to where Louise was. My heart started beating faster than usual, and my mind had been acting strange lately. My body longs to be close to her, and my hands ache when I touch her. My whole being takes over when I'm with her.

This is strange, and it's not me, but I will take advantage of this opportunity until I get her out of my system.
