Vinita's POV

"GOD PLEASE... WE NEED YOU" We cried. Susan, Ify and Amaka had joined us in prayer. Fortunately Ify and Amaka were cool now so there was nothing to worry about that.

I told the girls what happened despite what the police said, I knew that they were the only ones who'd actually help me. David had been missing for two days and some hours now, exactly fifty-two hours.

We kept praying and praying but we weren't getting any news from the police and their gang which bothered me a lot. David was basically my life now, we sure loved each other. We prayed almost everyday about our future and we kept getting this reply.

You're meant for each other.

We planned our future together..... It might be too early but we were deep in love. David was my life, my reason to live and die, my everything, my future. I couldn't imagine life without him.

When I heard the news of the kidnapped from the police, I was devastated. I forgot how to breath...

'riiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggg' we were interrupted by the door bell. "Lemme get that" I said walking out. I opened the door and the police came in. When he saw my friends, he looked at me. "Ma'am, I think it's better if they excuse us" he said.

"Why?! So that you can.." Amaka began but was cut off by Susan covering her mouth. "Kind sir, if it's about the sudden disappearance of David, we're aware." Susan said.

The man looked at me with a 'why did you tell them' look but I shrugged. "Well I found him. Take a look" he handed me a document which I collected faster than lightening. Susan and Amaka peered over my shoulder to see what I was holding.

Amaka muttered curses and I looked at her but she just pretended to be innocent. "Sir, are you gonna check out the place now?" I asked and he nodded.

"I need to go somewhere now" Amaka said hurriedly then literally ran out of the house. "She is suspicious" the police said and I couldn't help but shake my head. "My friend's innocent. She'd be praying with me. She'd never do such a thing"

He shrugged. "But we need you to come with us ma'am" he said and I nodded. I followed him to his police station along with susan and Ify who were keen on going with us.

I was made to wear a bullet proof vest and carried an ankle gun, which the police made sure I knew how to handle.

David, I'm coming.

It's going to be alright.

David's POV

"Hey boy!" The annoying and cheerful voice of the monster came through the door. The door was opened the next second to reveal him holden an old plate.

He crouched down in front of me and held the plate to my face.

"Here. This is your food for the day. Eat it or y'all get hungry. I don't care." I shook my head and scrunched up my face. "I'm not eating that!" I spat.

He shrugged and got up. "You're staying here for long little one so don't get too picky. Oh and I need a little piece of information on someone named Ify..."

The door swung open and a lady rushed in.  and I couldn't believe it, a lady? In this kind of thing? She looked biggish, not slim but biggish. "Ben, we need to hurry, get him outta here, the police found out."

"Yes boss"

'thank God for the police' I said inwardly as the man tried to lift me up.

My happiness was short-lived as I took in the features and looks of the lady...

I can't believe it!!

Amaka is the boss he was talking about

Rachael's friend is planning on killing her!

Who expected that??? Certainly not me but maybe a little plot twist will do this book some good.
