Kid brushed a stray hair out of Kari's face gently. He sighed, resting his forehead on the side of Kari's face. Kimi and Katsu smiled then curled up next to Kari to protect her, and slowly started to fall asleep.

     Kid was blinking to stay awake, but he was extremely tired. He was determined to stay awake and watch Kari.

     Kimi smiled then yawned. "She's fine. You'll see her awake again. Don't worry too much and make yourself sick. Kari would want you to be your usual self, Kid." Kimi put her head back down. "Though I am a demon I still care. I still have a heart." Kimi fell asleep.

     Kid took the dark cat-demon's words in for a moment, then decided to rest. He laid his head on Kari's shoulder and fell asleep.

~next day~

     It was the 25th and Katsu, Kimi and Kari were glowing. The three were about to join together again. Kari was in the middle of a circle outside floating while Kimi and Katsu were back in their human forms glowing. Katsu was glowing a shiny silver while Kimi was glowing a demonic black. Kari was glowing a bright gold. Soon Kimi and Katsu started chanting.

     "Wake up, join us in this world. Come back from your slumber, join this world and awaken." The glow surrounding the three grew brighter as Kim and Katsu turned into balls of light, Kimi black and Katsu silver, and then went back to Kari.

     Kid woke up suddenly, to find Kari smiling at him. He looked around.

     "Where is Kimi and Katsu?" Kid inquired.

    Kari hugged Kid. "It's the 25th." Kari let him go, a little bit in pain, and put her hand over her heart. "They joined me again." she looked to Kid and her smile grew. "They are my soul after all."

     Kid smiled at her. He blushed and kissed Kari. Kari blushed, eyes widening at the kiss. She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around him, kissing back. Kid let her go, blushing alot. He cleared his throat.

     "Well... Do you... do you still want to go on that date?" Kari smiled.

      "Of course!" Kari tried to get up but she still had some wounds that had to heal. "Uh... but not now... maybe when I feel better. You see, when I wake up from split slumber I do heal but not completely. I only heal enough to regain life and stuff." Kari smiled. "But I do heal pretty quick." Kari laid down on her bed and yawned. Kid smiled at her, glad to have her back.

    "Can I get you anything?" He asked her. Kari blushed.

     "M-may I have a tuna sandwich?" Kari's stomach growled and she blushed. "Uh-uh..."

    "Yeah, I thought you'd be hungry!" Kid flashed out and came back in a minute with a tuna sandwich and a glass of milk. "I hope you like milk...." Kid said, handing her the sandwich and glass.Kari smiled and ate the sandwich then drank the milk.

     "I love milk!! all cats do." She laughed after she finished her meal.

     "I thought about that much. You see, when Jinx was living with me, she had a cat, and she would always..." Kid drifted off, realizing what he was doing. He sighed. "Anything else I can get you?" Kid asked, changing the subject.

    Kari yawned. "Yeah. Can you let everyone know I'm ok? Please." Kari yawned again then put her head down. "I'm gonna take a nap." Kari closed her eyes and slowly drifted to sleep. Kid bent and kissed Kari's forehead. Then he walked out quietly, talking their dishes with him to the kitchen, where everyone was. Beast Boy had just lost against Cyborg in their favorite racing game.

     "AW DUDE!!" he yelped. "NOT COOL!!" Beast Boy winced then saw Kid. "Oh, hey Kid. have you seen Kimi and Katsu? I wanted to challenge them to a game." Beast Boy smirked.

     "They rejoined Kari. SHE'S OKAY EVERYONE!!!" Kid yelled.

     "SHE IS?! THAT'S GREAT!" Savannah shouted.

     "I'm glad she's okay." Clark said. "Kal-Se, I told you she'd be fine."

     "I know, thanks Kal-El." Savannah nearly broke the spoon she was holding. "Is she resting? Because if she isn't I am going to personally ensure, she does!"

     "Umm... yeah..." Kid said, a little intimidated by the very, very dangerous and powerful girl.Kari groaned and came into the room.

     "What is all the noise out here?" It has only been a few hours and Kari is completely healed. "Nya, I was sleeping. Nya da." she yawned lightly like a cat, showing her fangs.

     "Sorry." Savannah glared murderously at everyone, daring someone to make a false move.

     "Hey Kari!" Kid said happily. Kari looked to Kid and smiled.

     "Oh, hi." her smile looked a little tired. "How long was I asleep?" Beast boy turned on the couch.

     "About a few hours."

     "Actually 3.5 hours to be exact." Cyborg corrected.

     "Whatever." Beast Boy sighed.

    "No arguing." Savannah ordered sternly, still worried about Kari, so she was rather vicious.

     "You should rest, Kari, we'll need everyone at their best. Kari stretched.

     "But I am fully rested and I'm reavin' to stop some bad guys." Kari smiled, her smile looked like a "W"

      Robin sighed. "Same Kari, same fighting crave."

    "OH COME ON I'VE TECNALLY BEEN ASLEEP FOR MONTHS IN SPLIT SLUMBER, CAN YOU BLAME A DEMON.... Angel... person... feline... WHATEVER I AM!!! NYA DA NYA NYA NYA NYAN DA!!!" Kari growled.

     "KARI," Savvy yelped. "Language!"

     "Well then." Kid said.

     "That's interesting." Clark said. Kari blushed.

     "Uh-uh..." she went to change. When she came out she was wearing cloths similar to what a gang member might. "I-I'm going out! I'll be back in a few hours. Bye!" she rushed out. Savvy's eyes widened in fear.

     "Kar--" the door slammed.

     "Great. I'll go with her." Kid said, zooming after her.

     Kari opened the door to an old abandoned building and made sure she wasn't being followed then closed the door behind her. "Oh boy. It's been a whild since I've been here." She smirked.

     "Oh look who it is! if it isn't the little demon child, Kari the killer." called a voice from the shadows.

     "Yeah, yeah. Shut up Henry. Just come out, I need to talk to you!"

     "Who is this guy?" Kid thought. He watched from the shadows.

     "So, come back to me hon?" A boy about two years older than Kari stepped up, he had a piercing in his right ear, a scar on his cheek, wore thug like clothing, had dark brown spiky hair and emerald green eyes. He approached Kari, who punched him in the face.

     "Ok number one, too close, number two, NO WAY HAVE I COME BACK TO A DUMB THUG LIKE YOU!" she growled.

     "Geez, a guy can dream can't he?" Henry rubbed his cheek. "So why did you come back? If not for me?"

     "Oh dear god," Kari face palmed. "Where is she?"

     "You mean Kumi? She's back there, why?" Henry pointed to a dark hall where the training hall is.

     "Thanks, I'll see you later... maybe."

     "Like a date?" Henry got his hopes up. Kari's eyes flashed in anger as she slapped him.

     "No way, not even if you were the last guy on earth! yesh." Kari walked off.

     "I'M NOT GIVING UP KARI!" he called as she walked off.

     "Great, ANOTHER punching bag. " She was gone.

     "This guy is asking for it..." Kid thought. He gritted his teeth and resisted the urge to attack the dude.

    A girl around Kari's age was in the training room kicking a training dummy. "KARI!!!" she said, still kicking the dummy. "What brings you back to the Ryo Gang HQ?" she asked, this time stopping.

     "I have a favor to ask you." Kari seemed more serious than usual.

     "Anything for our former boss!!" Kumi grinned.

     "Whatever."

     "Oh, Henry wanted me to give you this water. I dunno why but here." Kumi gave Kari some water but, little did she know, it had some sort of love elixir mixed in it.

     "Thanks." Kumi then tied a bandanna around Kari's eyes when  she finished the water and moved her to where Henry was.

     "I didn't like it, but I did it." she said to Henry.

     Kid wondered what they were whispering about, and kept a close eye on Kari. Henry smirked then nodded then Kumi slowly took off the bandanna. Kari's eyes flashed and Kid winced at what he saw.
