Part 40
Mark's watch started to beep softly, but it was annoying enough to wake him up. Untangling himself carefully from Jack's sleeping form, he climbed out of bed to stretch. Mark walked around the bed, starting to reach out to shake Jack's shoulder, but stopped himself. Jack was snuggled deep into his pillow, looking so lost to the world. Mark couldn't help just watching him for a moment. Listening to him breath softly and taking in the way his long green bangs hung seductively over his eyes. In some places, Jack's hair was standing on end and giving him an adorable look that Mark couldn't resist. He moved his hand to Jack's wild hair, brushing it down and then brushing his knuckles down Jack's temple. Jack moaned sleepily in his sleep, making Mark grin brightly. Even in his sleep, Jack loved being touched by him.
Checking his watch, Mark decided to let Jack sleep a bit longer. Pulling on his jeans, he grabbed his phone and snuck out of the room. He needed breakfast and he was sure that Jack would be hungry when he got up. This early in the morning, the only people up were Masters and security pets. Mark slipped into the breakfast line. While waiting, he scrolled through his Twitter and sent out a brief text about how he was in the middle of a project, but he'd be back on schedule soon. He had prerecorded a few videos before Jack had arrived and had been uploading them when it didn't interfere with his time with Jack. Twitter was going crazy over the idea that him and Jack might be collaborating on a project together... but he didn't have the guts to tell them what they were really doing. Odds were that Jack would simply deny all the gossip. He usually did. Smirking to himself, he lowered his phone and ordered eggs benedict on waffles for Jack and pancakes with sausage for himself.
The cashier nodded, causing her cat collar to jingle as she turned to the Master's in the back and recited his order. Mark followed her down the line to order two coffees and she bounced to the machine to make them with a smile. She reminded him of Jack a little bit. So much energy... a morning person clearly. Although, Jack wasn't. Jack's energy burst didn't hit until noon or later. He liked that about him. He wasn't awake enough in the mornings to deal with an active pet. The woman slid the first coffee to him and started working on the second, when a familiar voice greeted him warmly. "Good morning, Master Mark. Sleep well?" Mark glanced at Declan and gave him a pleasant reply. "I think I'd sleep better at home... but I slept as well as to be expected. You?" Declan rubbed his tired eyes, leaning back against the counter as he answered. "I've slept better. I don't sleep very much as it is, but I stayed up almost all night with Trevor..."
Mark took the second coffee from the woman, asking him perplexed. "Really? Was he that bad?" Trevor chuckled to himself, replying lightly. "No more or less than I, when I was starting out. It will be a miracle if he places in the Pet Park. I finally had to give him to Kate just to get a break." Mark sipped his coffee, telling Declan. "He's always been a handful." Declan nodded to himself, then asked with a suggestive smirk. "Speaking of handfuls... How is your pup? Still sleeping or practicing for the Pet Park?" Mark moved to sit at a table to wait with Declan, answering charmingly. "He's asleep. I appreciate the gift by the way. I didn't have one for my collection." Declan blushed, lowering his head to mumble out under his breath. "Ya. I figured he'd like it much better if you played with him. So, what is your plan for the Pet Park?"
Mark thought about it for a long moment, then answered casually. "To have fun. The Pet Parade will make Jack nervous... but I think he will like the Pet Picnic after. The day should be sunny, so water fights will be fun and whatnot." Declan shook his head, leaning forward a bit to say smugly. "You don't know what to have him do, do you?" Mark rolled his eyes, but Declan wasn't wrong. Jack didn't like doing things that he felt would embarrass him. He couldn't think of something that Jack would feel comfortable with. Declan leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms as he told him bluntly. "If he isn't comfortable with the more 'sexual experience', than don't. This isn't the Pet Show. Not all play is sexual. It's about the fun. So, like you said... Let him have fun." Declan's attention was drawn to Kate, who approached to tell Declan in a rush. "There you are! I need your help. We need more Masters to help set up the picnic and water toys. Our escort for the Pet Parade is sick and needs to be replaced. Also, there is a cop here that wants to know if we will be parading around naked people."
Declan groaned loudly, rising to his feet. Declan patted Mark's shoulder then, telling him with a smile. "Remember what I said. Dogs are only judged by how well they behave and how much fun they are having. Affection is drastically different from sex appeal. Just take him out and let him have some fun. It will come to him and he'll tell you what he wants to do." Mark nodded, watching Declan lead Kate away as she filled his ear with a long listed agenda. Mark was glad he wasn't him right now. He couldn't handle the stress of running an academy and working his ass off for youtube. The cat lady waved him over with her fingerless kitty paw gloves, telling him WAY to chipper for the morning. "Sir! Your order is up! Enjoy!" Mark took the plates and took a deep sniff of the warm buttermilk pancakes and waffles. It made his stomach growl just looking at it.
Carefully heading back up into the room, he set the tray of food down on the small desk and grinned. Jack was still sleeping as if he had never left. Dipping his finger in the cream of the free cinnamon roll. He carried the small plate over to Jack, touching his glazed finger to Jack's soft pale pink lips. Jack jerked his head back, sleepily letting out a disgusted groan. His pup certainly was not a morning person. Jack shifted back into the center of the bed, licking his lips and trying to settle back down to sleep again. Mark stood by the bed waiting with a knowing grin. Tearing a piece of the gooey roll and watching Jack through slanted eyes. The moment Jack's brain woke enough to recall the taste, his eyes shot open and he jerked upright. Mark chuckled, watching Jack's hair stand up on end, while his eyes couldn't be any wider. Mark held out the piece to him, asking in a smug voice. "Hungry, baby?" Jack quickly scooted back to the edge of the bed, taking his wrist and practically eating his fingers to take it from him.
Mark tired to pull his wrist back, but Jack held onto it lightly. Tiny orgasmic moans left Jack as he crewed, then began to suck his fingers clean of the glaze. Mark bit his lip, seeing Jack do that was making him think about breakfast in bed. The moment, Jack was done with his fingers, he turned his bright blue puppy eyes on the cinnamon roll that he had been too sleepy to notice before. Jack scooted even closer, raising his hands up, hoping that he'd give him half. Mark moved his hand to curl just under Jack's chin, coaxing him up onto his knees. Jack rose to his knees right on cue as Mark's finger curled against the underside of his chin. When he was up high enough, Mark leaned in to kiss him so sweetly. Afterward, he pulled away, whispering lovingly over Jack's lips. "Good morning to you too, Jackaboy." Jack blushed, starting to fuss with his hair, until Mark lowered the plate down for him to take.
All Jack's attention fell on the roll as he took it and settled back down on the bed to eat it. Mark moved back to the food tray to get Jack's breakfast, telling him casually. "After you eat, I'll need you to get back into your Pet Gear. The Pet Park starts soon and it will be a long day for us both." Mark walked the food back to Jack, adding in promptly. "That reminds me... I got to get you sunscreen. We'll be outside for a while and with your pale skin..." Jack took the plate from him, asking curiously. "Aren't you going to eat?" Mark was distracted by all the things he wanted to be sure they did before leaving, that he only nodded as a response. Jack set his plate aside on the bed, rising up on his knees again to say closer to Mark's face. "Daddy Mark?" Mark turned his full attention on Jack, just as Jack leaned up to kiss him. Mark closed his eyes savoring the kiss and how his lips tasted as sweet as that cinnamon roll. Mark even went so far as to lick across Jack's lips in between short loving kisses.
By the time Jack sat back down, he grinned up at him with an innocent smile. Mark's eyes narrowed down on him suspiciously. Jack was anything, but innocent. He had the strangest way of disguising his devil horns behind a halo of gold. Mark touched Jack's cheek, telling him sincerely. "You're welcome. Now eat up. We've got a lot to do today." Mark left Jack to eat, wolfing down his own breakfast. When Jack was ready, he had Jack dress in his jeans and sneakers. Leaving his upper body exposed. Mark quickly set to work coating Jack's lean body in thick sunscreen. He hated the way it smelled and what it would do to the leather harness... but it was better than letting Jack burn. Smearing the sunscreen much lighter on Jack's face, he told him excitedly. "It's kind of an academy tradition to celebrate. We'll be walking in a small parade that circles the entire school and then we'll enjoy a picnic and watch the Pet Park. It should be fun."
Jack's hands rose to grab Mark's wrists, saying a bit horrified. "Mark... What if someone recognizes us out there?" Mark picked up Jack's puppy mask and pressed it to Jack's chest, stating casually. "They won't know if you keep this on." Jack looked over the mask, before his eyes rose up to meet Mark's again, asking curiously. "What about you? Aren't you afraid?" Mark rolled his eyes, crossing the room to show Jack something. Opening a bag, he pulled out a mask and turned to show Jack, telling him softly. "This isn't my first time. I came prepared. However... This will be my first time going with you." Mark showed off the silver and grey masquerade eye mask that matched up well with the designs on Jack's puppy mask. To Be Continued...
