Part 16
Jack walked around looking at the stuff hanging on the walls and racks feeling nervous. He didn't recognize a lot of this stuff. Trevor clearly knew what he wanted. Trevor moved to a wall and started pulling stuff down. Even from a distance, Jack could tell what Trevor was planning to be. A dog. The other two subs giggled as they looked over different racks, causing the Master to shoot them an annoyed glare. Jack's heart was racing. He was already familiar with the dog gear. While these others just intimidated him a bit. How was he suppose to choose? The Master draped a leg over the arm of his chair, stating aloud to the two giggling subs. "You want to chose an animal that you are willing to role play as. Something that empowers you... Not something you giggle over".
The Master's head turned to look at him and Jack quickly looked away. The Master gracefully stood up, brushing a hand through his long white hair as he addressed Jack casually. "Having trouble, Sub"? Jack shook his head without thinking. The Master circled around him slowly, then raised his gloved hand to lift the dog tag on his collar. Jack tried to be polite and took a step back. The Master smirked, lowering his hand as he said calmly. "Well, Jack. Seems you're a little lost. Your collar would suggest that your Master wants you to be a dog. I'm afraid that collar doesn't go with any other gear. You plan to take it off"? Jack's hand shot up to protect his collar. Mark had made it special for him. He didn't want to remove it. The Master gestured toward the dog, fox, or the cat gear, saying softly. "Then these are all you can be with that collar".
Jack was about to ask the Master something, when Trevor stepped out of a dressing room. Immediately, Jack had a flash back to the first time me had seen Trevor. Only this Trevor looked more intimidating. Dressed in tight black leather pants with a black studded chest harness that had large sliver designed plates above his nipples. Trevor even had a long black and silver wolf looking tail. Jack swallowed as Trevor raised a hand to strap on a large slivery black metal masquerade half mask. Although, from where Jack stood he looked more like an angry werewolf with its sharp upper teeth exposed, than a dog. If Trevor was going for frightening... He hit the spot. Jack had to turn away as the light glinted off not just his mask, but the shiny metal claws on his black gloved hands.
The Master beside Jack gave Trevor a smug smile, stating simply. "I'll admit. The look is very appealing on you, Trevor. You plan to rule the dogs this year too"? Trevor finished strapping on the mask, answering wickedly. "Of course. I'm an alpha". Trevor moved closer to Jack, raising his hand to curl his sharp nails in front of his face as he growled out. "You should take that collar off, Jack. You're no dog. You're prey. And you won't be able to handle playing with the big dogs". Jack straightened up to his full height, staring into Trevor's green eyes as he snapped back. "If their anything like you, than I'm safe". Trevor turned his hand to point his claws at Jack, when the Master grabbed Trevor's wrist. In a stern voice, the Master told Trevor bluntly. "Trevor! You know how we settle things here. You wanna fight him? Take it to the park"!
Trevor lowered his hand, replying much softer. "It won't matter. He's just a lap dog". Trevor strolled away toward the Master's cat, while Jack asked the Master curiously. "What did you mean by 'take it to the park"? The Master eyed Trevor closely, answering. "Think of it like a pet show. You train to be the best pet at the academy. Every animal group goes through a trail to get an award. Shows off their training here. While also showing the Masters that they meet during the after party what they know". Trevor suddenly shoved the Master's cat away with a chuckle, forcing the Master to intervene. Leaving Jack to think about what to do. If he chose a different animal, then he could avoid Trevor... but he was comfortable being a dog. He loved dogs. He knew what training would be like as one.
Moving to the dog rack, Jack looked over different outfits. Only to stop when a mask on the wall drew his eyes. It was beautifully detailed and brightly colored. Smirking, he pulled it off the wall and moved to the dressing room. Jack unzipped his brown sweater to reveal his white shirt. He already had the look. He guessed that not a lot of pets went colorful. Most dressed pretty dark that he had seen. Looking at himself in the mirror, he whispered to himself. "Go big or go home, Sean". Stepping out, he took a few things off the wall. He didn't come here to play it safe. Stripping off his clothes, he pulled on a black studded leather harness that formed an X over his chest with a bright steel ring in the center. Then picked up the thick leather arm cuffs. Buckling them just above his elbows, he hand to admit that studs made the black leather shine and stand out.
He didn't bother with pants. He was comfortable in his blue jeans and he liked having more color. He just had to attach his short white tail to a thin black leather belt that he looped through his jeans. The last thing he did was strap on the mask. It was light, but built to last. Staring into the mirror, he smirked. His blue eyes stood out brightly against the golden brown and white designs of a Jack Russell's features. Even his collar fit with the outfit. The bright green Septic Sams added more color and a playful look. He was energetic and small just like a Jack Russell. This worked for him. He'd show them all. Exiting the dressing room, Jack nervously took in the others. The two subs that had accompanied them were dressed as bunnies now.
The Master looked over Jack and raised an eyebrow with interest. Jack folded his clothes in front of his bare stomach, shifting uncomfortably. Everyone was staring at him. The Master crossed his hands over his chest, stating curiously. "I've had that mask for years and have never seen anyone take an interest in it. I'm jealous. You made it look sexy". Jack blushed behind the mask, before glancing at Trevor. Trevor's eyes scanned over his body, before he bluntly stated. "A Jack Russell? You really are a lap dog". Jack shrugged, saying casually. "Size isn't everything, Trevor". The Master chuckled, petting his cat's head as he chimed in. "He isn't wrong, Trevor". Trevor snorted disgustedly and moved for the door.
Together they started to head back toward the classroom. Only to stop as a door opened and a few pets herded their way inside. Pets would turn to look at them for brief seconds, but if they weren't dogs or bunnies they paid them no mind. The dog Jack had seen early with Donny, slowed down to look at him and Jack held his breath. The dog approached him, leaning in slightly to look at what he assumed was his collar, before asking sweetly. "Never seen a Jack before... You new"? Jack raised an eyebrow at him, even though the guy wouldn't see it. He had never seen a man named Jack? The dog chuckled, extending a pawed hand as he excitedly told him. "Sorry if I startled you earlier. I'm Ben, the German Shepherd. What's your name"? Jack shifted in place as it slowly started to sink in, then took his leather paw, answering. "I'm Jack".
Ben laughed, saying happily. "Jack, the Jack Russell. I should remember that. Wanna join the pack to get some lunch"? Jack shrugged, gesturing down the hall as he answered politely. "I can't. I've got to meet my Master". If Ben was going to say something, he didn't get a chance too, because a dog from across the hall howled loudly. The howl echoed off the walls and sent all the dogs into loud howls. Even Trevor joined in. Jack glanced around uneasy. What was happening? Ben nudged him lightly, yelling out to him. "Come on! Howl with us, Jack"! Jack shrugged, taking a deep breath and letting out a loud howl. As the howling died down everyone seemed to flood their way out into the main hall. Ben rested a paw on Jack's shoulder, telling him hopefully. "I hope I see you at lunch, Jack".
Ben then dashed after the others and Jack felt a little anxious now that he noticed that Trevor was watching him go. They continued on down the hall, when Trevor slowed enough to walk beside Jack. Jack forced himself to keep his eyes forward as Trevor told him threateningly. "Stay away from Ben. I mean it". Unable to resist, Jack looked at him to snap out. "Why? Are you going to tell me he is worse than you"? Trevor silently turned away and Jack stopped cold, asking suspiciously. "Wait a minute... Are you jealous"? Trevor suddenly picked up his pace, storming into the classroom without another word. To Be Continued...
