"You're wrong."
"No I'm not. I'm right."
"You're wrong."
"No I'm-"
"Carl! Willow! Stop it!" North voice rang through both of their ears, making them both snap their heads towards their mother.
"Sorry, Mom." Carl said. North sighed, turning back around to talk to Simon and Josh.
"But can you tell Willow I'm right?" Carl stated quickly.
"Argh! I swear I'm gonna strangle you!!" Willow said going for his neck, making their arguing start up again.
"Hey! NOT TODAY!" North snapped, turning back around and getting their attention. They stopped fighting and Willow slouches further on the wall.

"Hey, Ottavia, am I right? That the answer to the Sphinx's riddle?" Willow asked as Ottavia passed with some papers in her hand. She looked over her papers while pondering the question, knowing that they were arguing over: What walks on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon and three legs in the evening?
"The answer is man. Your brother's correct Willow."
"Ugh come on! Why do you always get it?" Ottavia chuckled at Willow's frustration.
"You're going up against an android. A being made to do anything we can't. Don't worry, have faith. You'll beat him someday." Ottavia said with a small smile and a wink.
"But he's a sentient and she's a human be-"
"Shh! She doesn't need to know that!" Ottavia said through gritted teeth to her frenemy, Lexi. Lexi simply shrugged.

"It's not enough? But how, there was a lot of blue blood at the mansion!" Crystal's voice rang out into the ship.
She was talking to Markus. He appreciated the blue blood, but there wasn't enough.
"Then where would we get more?" North pondered, heading their conversation.
"I... I don't know." Markus admitted, as Violet came into the room, unaware of their conversation, instead speaking to Ottavia and Lexi.

"You two are here early." Violet commented as the two nodded.
"We're trying to figure out where he is. Connor's looking down at the station too." Ottavia explained.
"On a Saturday." The two woman nodded.
"That reminds me, I need to speak with someone, and I want you to come with me." Lexi comments, and Violet shrugs deciding to go with as there was nothing else to do. Kara and Markus offered to go as well, and contacted Connor to come, as he reported that he couldn't find anything worth investigating (he was also alone at the station).
"Ok. I don't mind you all coming with me." Lexi said, before leaving the ship.

Location: Sal's Pub
Time: 10:10 am

Lexi, Violet, Markus, Kara and Connor all arrived, looking up at the wooden bar with the glitching neon sign.
"Are you sure we're ok to go?" Violet asked emphasizing "we're" referring to her, Markus, Kara and Connor, as they were androids. You'd think that bars would be ok with androids by now, but you'd be wrong. Very few accepted androids as they considered them "too life like" and "creepy" (but really, they were made to suit your needs and look like you. Geez, I'm critiquing my own story's flaws😂). Lexi chuckled amused.
"Androids are allowed here. That's why I allowed you four to come along, ya dummy! Geez, for such an advanced machine, you are d-"
"Don't. Start." Violet warned through gritted. Lexi simply shrugged.
"I know you better than that. What's the other reason we're here?" Violet asked again, thinking about all the horrible reasons Lexi brought them here.
"Well, I could use the company. It gets pretty only in that big ol' house of mine. You might give me some inspiration." Lexi replied with wry smile and a wink, meaning that she was probably joking about the "inspiration" part... or was she?
"Great. Just like our creator. You two would be a good match." Violet muttered, referring to Elijah Kamski.
"Ha! Nah, he's got too big of an ego for me. Besides, I don't like to stay by myself all day painting. I guess that's why I paint Androids?" Lexi explained with a shrug.
"But anyway, enough of this waiting around. Are we going to go inside, or not?" Lexi accidentally spat impatiently. And then they finally went in. Lexi looked around to find the man she was looking for and her eyes lit up when she found the bartender, TJ, who had brown hair, peachy skin and green eyes.
"TJ!" Lexi called out and he smiled at her.
"Hey! Come back for my offer?" TJ asked with a wink.
"In your dreams, bozo!" Lexi replied, playfully glaring at him.
"Well, would you like a drink?" TJ offered, meant as another joke, as Lexi glared at him, more serious this time.
"You know me. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or have sex." Lexi stated bluntly.
"Yeah. But with those tattoos no one would think that." TJ commented pointing to the tattoos on her arms. Lexi simply shrugged.
"Let them believe what they want to believe. If they don't know that I'm a Lesbian, Ace, and instead think I'm a straight girl who smokes then so be it."
"But anyway, I want you to meet some friends of mine. This is Violet, you know her from what I've told you, Markus, the Android leader, Connor and Kara."
"Nice to meet you all." TJ replies politely.
"So... what can I do for you, Lex?"
"I need those 'packages' we talked about." Lexi replied vaguely while coughing to not be heard. TJ eyes showed calm realization, and as he began to discuss with Lexi how much she wanted, some anti-android men decided to pick on Violet, Markus, Connor and Kara. TJ then interrupted himself.
"Oi! If you don't like 'em then you can leave." TJ growled menacingly.
"Yeah you heard him-"
"I was talking about all of you!" TJ interrupted, glaring at the six men with bulging muscles.
"Oh yeah? And what would happen if we don't leave, huh? If we touch your precious girlfriend?" One of the men, who the androids assumed was the leader, spat getting very close to Lexi.
"She's not my girlfriend." TJ mumbled, clearly offended by the statement.
"Don't worry, I can take care of myself. Now leave my friends alone." Lexi warned glaring at the men.
"Oh yeah? Watcha gonna do about- AHH!!!" The leader was immediately flipped to the ground by Lexi, who stood leaning up against the bar confidently with a smirk.
"Oh sweetheart, sweetheart, sweetheart, you're not even close to my level!" Lexi spat with a mock pout as the man began to crawl away from her.
"What are you fools waiting for? Scram!" Lexi spat at the other five men who left in a hurry with their beaten friend. Lexi sighed dramatically and turned back to TJ.
"So, do you have them or not?" She spat impatiently, slamming her open palms on the bar's wooden counter. TJ smiled.
"Uh huh. How much do you want?"
"That's up to him to decide." Lexi said gesturing to Markus. TJ nodded, glancing at Markus quickly, before going to the back.
"So, what exactly am I deciding on?" Markus questioned.
"You'll see." Lexi replied with a smirk.
"Can we just talk about what just happened?" Violet asked turning to her fellow androids.
"Yeah. That was... remarkable." Kara commented.
"How were you able to defeat him? He was twice your size." Connor inquired. Lexi shrugged.
"Appearance's can be deceiving," Lexi said with a gleam in her eyes, "but honestly, I don't know how I did it." Lexi admitted as TJ came back with a giant box.
"What is that?" Violet questioned.
"Blue blood. Lots and lots of blue blood!" Lexi states triumphantly.
"This is amazing. We've been needing more." Markus commented staring at the box. Lexi smiled sheepishly.
"I know. I thought I'd repay you for keeping my two girls safe and allowing me to help with the case." Lexi explained with a kind smile.
"So, how much do you want?" TJ asked getting down to business, letting Markus decide on how much he wanted/needed.
"How did you get this blue blood?" Kara inquired, outlining the box with her fingers, as Connor stared at the box, supposedly scanning it.
"Well... technically before the Revolution, I worked at Cyberlife, sort of. Pretty sure I only got the job because of my dad. But I also worked part time at this bar, which use to be owned by my uncle, and now... it's all mine." TJ stated triumphantly as he tapped his fingers on the bar counter.
"I'll take the entire thing." Markus announced coming back over to the counter. TJ smiled.
"Great. Because I have no use for it anymore." He replied in a joking manner. Lexi thanked him and they left the bar to go back to Jericho. Connor, Kara and Markus were up ahead as Lexi and Violet stayed a few feet behind.
"So, did you and TJ, y'know have-"
"Don't. Start." Lexi sing singed, echoing Violet's warning from earlier as they continued to walk back to the ship.

T W O W E E K S L A T E R...

Location: Jericho
Day: June 25th, 2024
Time: 10:34 am

Two weeks later, all the blue blood that TJ gave Jericho had been used up, they didn't need it right away obviously, but Markus wanted to make sure they had enough just in case there was an emergency.
"Hey, Dad? This was at our doorstep." Willow said coming into the room with a grey case, referring to Jericho's front door.
"Now, what could that be?" Violet muttered, as Markus, Kara, North and the rest of Jericho looked at this mysterious case. Connor came over to scan it and see where it came from. Today he had a rare day off so he decided to help at Jericho.
"It's from Cyberlife." He announced making Violet blink at him.
"Why would Cyberlife send us this?" Violet questioned, carefully opening the handles to the container. Her eyes widened as she had a big smile on her face.
"It's blue blood!" Violet explained, and the androids in Jericho smiled happily at the news.
"Thank Ra9." Crystal muttered, resting her head on Rupert's shoulder as they held hands, sighing in relief.
"But where the hell did it come from?" Lexi questioned, coming over to see the commotion.
"I don't... know." Suddenly, Violet trailed off.
"What? What is it?" Ottavia asked, her voice oozing with worry. She was nothing but worried these days. Violet held up a Cyberlife employee card to Lexi and Ottavia. Lexi gasped and Ottavia had tears in her eyes.
"Dawn..." Ottavia murmured.
"Who?" Willow called out curiously.
"Curiosity killed the cat." Ottavia replied, but right after she said that, Violet answered Willow's question.
"Dawn. She was my mother. There's a reason why that man is called "Cyberlife Killer"." Violet explained turning the card the other way for others to see. It was Dawn's ID card, she had green eyes and red hair, like her daughter Faye, who also worked at Cyberlife. Dawn tested on the machines to make sure they worked. She was one of the most powerful women Violet had ever known in her life.
"Without her, I wouldn't be who I am today." Violet mumbled, trailing her fingers over the card.
"Do you... do you think she could be alive?" Willow questioned. Violet thought about for a second and shook her head.
"No. She's long gone."
"But it's her card, she could still be alive." Carl protested. Violet shrugged it off, turning over the card.
"Wait a minute, this... this has a note on it." Violet explained. The card had a little notepad sheet of paper in its slip.
"It says 'Come to this address at 12 am sharp. Sincerely, Dawn.' My... my mom's alive?" Violet questioned, handing the card over to Markus and standing there bewildered.
"It has her fingerprints on it." Connor said, referring to the case he just scanned. But it all fell on death ears as Violet sat down a nearby steel bench.
"Violet?" Ottavia called out, snapping the attention to her friend.
"We... we have to go." Violet said standing up again.
"Wait, what? Are you insane?!" Ottavia and Lexi questioned.
"It says that we have to go at 12 pm! So we'll go!" Violet announced, but not many were convinced.
"But Vi, what if it's a trap?" Anastasia asked, having come here a week earlier for her safety.
"Anastasia's right. What if it's the man that murdered your family? What if it is a trap?!" Crystal added, and Violet hesitated, after all, Crystal knew Violet's pain and Anastasia's was right. But Violet had one thing that everyone else seemed to be lacking right now: determination. No one understood. Her mother, her own mother. That woman who had raised her, took her in, might still be alive.
"Well then... it might be a risk I'll just have to take." Violet replied. No one of them understood, but there was someone who did.
"I'll be back. I need some advice from someone who cares." Violet spat cynically.
"Wait!! Violet!!" She had no idea who called out to her. It could have been Markus. It could have been Connor. It could have been Kara. It could have been Crystal. It could have been Anastasia. It could have been Ashley, Meg, Lexi, Ottavia or Willow. It could have even been Carl, but Violet didn't know and she didn't care. She continued to run, to find someone who could understand.

Location: Kolt and Anastasia's Apartment
Time: 10:45 am

Violet knocked on her brother's apartment door and it was immediately opened.
"Hey Vi! How are you?"
"I need to talk to you." Violet replied barging into his home.
"O...ok. What's up?"
"This." Violet replied holding up the card.
"Is that... mom's ID?"
"Yes. And there's a note on the back." Violet explained, holding up the other side.
"Should I go?" Violet asked her brother nervously.
"I don't know... it could be a trap sis." Violet pouted and slumped her shoulders.
"Everyone else said that." She mumbled and Kolt chuckled ruffling her hair.
"Well they're right. It could be dangerous." Violet scoffed, and crossed her arms leaning on the couch.
"Like I care." Kolt looked at her with concern.
"You do care. If it is a trap, are you really ready to die?" Violet hesitated, she wanted to say yes. But she knew her brother was right. She wasn't ready to die. To leave all her friends-new and old-behind.
"You're right. But I think I'll take some time to think about. Mind if stay here?" Violet explained turning to her brother.
"No. I don't mind."
"Thanks."

O N E H O U R L A T E R...

There was a knock at the door.
"Hello? Oh, it's you. Come in." A moment later, Kolt came in with Markus and North following behind.
"Connor tracked down the address. It seems to be safe. If we get into trouble we can contact the police to help." Markus explained.
"You mean?" Violet began, standing up from the couch.
"Yes. We'll go." North confirmed nodding at Violet, who nodded calmly in response.
"Ok. I'll go with you." Violet then turned and gave her brother a big hug.
"Take care of her. Please." Kolt begged with pleading eyes to North and Markus.
"We will." North replied putting Kolt slightly at ease. And now, all they had to do was wait.

Location: Abandoned Warehouse on 1444 Vick Lake Street
Day: June 26th, 2042
Time: 12:00 am

At 12 am, Markus, North, Josh, Simon, Violet and Crystal arrived at the location. It was pitch black, only lit up by a light at the back of the warehouse.
"Hello?" Crystal called out hesitantly, not expecting an answer, but when she did it made her jump.
"Back here. Follow the light!" A woman's voice called out. Once they got to the back of the warehouse, they found a woman with red hair repairing a male android, with twelve androids including four YK700s standing near a wall under the light.
"I see you got my note." The woman said as she still looked down, running around finding various parts for the male android's arms.
"Yes. We did. What is it you want?" Markus asked her. He expected an answer but she posed her own question.
"You're the leader of Jericho, yes?"
"Yes. I am."
"First things first," she said finally looking up but not noticing her daughter, "these androids would like to go Jericho. I don't know where it is. Can you take them?" All five of them nodded, making the woman smile.
"You're Dawn right?" Crystal questioned. Dawn simply nodded, finishing the Android who sat in the chair, who left to join the others, as one more came out of the darkness and sat in the chair.
"Good. Now answer my question." Markus added.
"You're persistent. And straight to the point. I like that." Dawn said with a smile. She finished the last android who went to join the others, as she smiled at her work.
"I... I have this blue blood that I want to give you. I don't need anymore. I've repaired every android that comes in this place. There's a reason why there are so many androids coming in since the 21st of May." Dawn explained as she showed them a case, then glancing at Violet and glancing again, her eyes widening with realization as tears glistened in them.
"How did I not see you? Violet! You're alive!! Thank god you're alive, sweetheart!!!!" Dawn explained, dropping the case and hugging her daughter. Violet didn't return it at first, too shocked to anything.
"Hi... mom." Violet replied in a whisper, hugging Dawn back with tears in her eyes as well. Suddenly a noise from upstairs made Dawn's face go pale and let go of her daughter roughly.
"You... you have to go." Dawn said, rushing to move her tools in containers in the small area of light.
"What?! What are you talking about mom?!" Violet demanded to know what was going on, as Crystal, Markus, North, Simon and Josh were focused on the fourteen androids near the wall. They looked terrified of the noise.
"It's Master." A female Android from the corner whispered, holding a YK700 with blond hair and blue eyes tightly up against her.
"Master? Since when do androids have masters?!" Violet exclaims confused.
"Sweetheart listen. The man that murder your sisters and father was going to kill me, but then he let me go, and makes me work for him. Knowing my expertise with androids, he let me work on these and others who have escaped. His name is Roger Malcolm. He is extremely dangerous. He kidnaps the androids and rips them apart, and has me work on them. You all have to leave. Now!" Dawn explained rather quickly, giving the other five androids that Violet came with a quick glance before shoving her daughter to the side. The noise came again.
"Where-"
"Out the back way. Like I told the others." Dawn interrupted the a male Android speaking calmly.
"Follow them. They know how to leave this place. Then, please take them Jericho. Take them to where they will be safe. Please." Dawn explains, handing Markus the blue blood.
"Thank you." He states looking up at Dawn. She gives a brisk nod in reply.
"Oh, and please keep my daughter-" a gun was cocked to her head.
"Two Cyberlife employees who believed that androids were people. Took one in, and raised her as their daughter. My, what a scandal that would be." A man with black hair and brown eyes said, behind Dawn with the gun.
"Sure, if almost all the public opinion still believed in that philosophy, Roger." Dawn stated calmly.
"SHUT UP!" Roger snapped.
"Why? Why would you believe these machines are people?!" Roger yelled at Dawn, pointing his gun at the androids in the room, before putting it back on Dawn. Anger fueled in her. An motherly instinct and a need to protect. She whipped around to face him, showing she was not afraid.
"I worked at that place for 25 years. Do you realize how many bigots I had to deal with everyday. You're opinion would have been different if only you heard their begging, and their pleading. To not be reset. I've heard them scream and no one cared. I... it broke my heart." Dawn explained her voice slightly cracking at the memory.
"You know, I don't fucking care about your little sob story. Say sayonara to the machines, bitch!" At soon as Roger said these words, Dawn attempted to grab his gun and it was pointed at the ceiling. Roger tried to grasp from her and ended up hitting the overhead light.
"AHHH!!!" He screamed as the lightbulb hit his head.
"Run! RUN!!!" Dawn shouted in the darkness to the 20 androids who all began to run.

Just keep running. Just keep running. Just. Keep. Running! Violet chanted in her head, knowing the sad truth. She would never see her mother again. As they kept on running, a gun shot was heard. Everyone stopped and Violet stood there, seemingly frozen by fear. She turned to Crystal with worry and pain in her eyes.
"I know. I know it hurts." Crystal whispered as she wrapped her arms around Violet. "But we have to keep running." Violet looked at Crystal, blinked back her tears, taking her hand and continuing to run, back to Jericho. Where they would be safe.

Author's Notes

I wanted to continue, but I think I'll stop for now. Currently, me and my family are on the road, driving back home. We're going to North Carolina first to see the Biltmont Mansion and then we'll return home. I'll keep updating as we're on the road. Once I get back home though I'm not going to update again til I finish my summer reading assignment (fingers crossed I get it done🤞👏)

Oh, and thanks to detroitbecomesimom for voting and liking my story. You're too sweet!❤️Really, I don't deserve it! That's all for now.
