Jodie sat at the kitchen table in Peter's apartment listening to music as the two did their homework together for a bit like they always do before going back to the tower.

"I'm finished," Peter announced as he just got done with the last question, putting his assignment back into his folder. "You ready to go?" He asked Jodie, who was only half way through the second to the last problem of her math homework.

"Yeah...I just gotta get this one done," she said, scribbling some random answers down that probably weren't even right, but who cares anyway? The teachers never actually check to see if you have the correct answers. They only care if you have it "done."

"Alright. Now I'm ready." She sighed, hopping off her seat as she grabbed her Michael Kohrs bag, placing it over her shoulder. "See you later, May! We're going to the tower." Jodie called out.

"Alright, Peter be back by dinner!" May responded from her bedroom. "Okay!" He yelled back, opening the door and letting Jodie leave first.

"Hey guys!" Jodie greeted as she and Peter entered the tower. "Hi sweetheart," Steve smiled and came over to Jodie, pulling her into a hug and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Hi daddy," she smiled, taking her father in for a hug. "How was school?"
"You know, same old..." she responded as she tossed down her bag into the floor.

Peter smirked at her as he sat down on the couch. "What?" Jodie asked confused with a laugh. "Nothing..." his smirk grew a little bigger and Jodie only rolled her eyes in response. "Seriously, what's so funny??" She asked, kind of curious to know what Peter thought was so amusing at the moment as she took a seat next to him.

"You're so much like your dad, it's a little creepy." He commented, removing an earbud that was in his right ear. She rolled her eyes and used her telekinesis to lift up a pillow and throw it roughly at him, hitting him in the face.

"Hey, hey!" He complained, surprised by the sudden attack. "Jodie," Steve called from the kitchen. "Yeah?" She shouted back. "Training in 20."

Jodie let out a heavy sigh, not really feeling in the mood for it today. She was so exhausted from everything going on in school. They've just been overloading her and Peter with work, and she was so tired she couldn't focus on anything else, it was pure torture.

Jodie met up with Steve in the training room, both in uniform. "Ready?"
"Can it be quick today? Please? I'm so exhausted, like you have no idea!" She practically begged him, letting out a yawn.

"Laps, lets go!" He ordered her, completely ignoring her question. Jodie sighed heavily and began running her laps around the room. Her training usually starts off with your typical warm up excersizes, like running, push ups, sit ups, etc.

She then followed it with twenty push ups and sit ups each. Then the real fun began. Tony and Clint were going to enjoy today's training; why? Because it's her yearly check up to see if her indestructibility is still in tact.

Which means for them, they get to hit a bunch of baseballs at her to check it. "Ok, go stand over there, Jodie." Steve told her, pointing to the wall. She sighed as Tony and Clint exchanged mischievous smirks, each grabbing a baseball bat.

"Why couldn't it be Uncle Bucky and Sam testing it instead?" Jodie whined, noticing their expressions. "They're gone on a mission right now, and Tony and Clint volunteered to," Steve explained with a shrug.

"I think this is gonna be one of my favorite training lessons," Clint said to Tony, the smirk still not leaving his face as he grabbed his baseball bat and a ball, while Tony did the same. "Touché, Barton. Touché." Tony agreed, tossing up his baseball in the air and catching it.

Jodie cringed, wanting for this to be over. "Can we just get this over with??" Jodie complained. "Ready?" Steve asked the two. "Hell yeah!" Clint smiled as he held his bat up, ready to swing.

"Go!" Steve cued them, and Clint went first. He gave it his hardest whack, and hit Jodie's arm. "Did that hurt?" Steve asked her, raising an eyebrow. "No...I just don't like this. At all!"

"Dammit!" Clint snapped with a chuckle afterwards. "Let me show you how it's done, Barton." Tony said, smirking as he tossed up his baseball, whacking it at full force with the bat.

It hit Jodie in the stomach, making her cringe again. The two continued doing this for about another fifteen minutes. Then finally, it was over and Jodie could move onto the next part of her training.

"I have to say Jodie, you did good today." Steve complimented her with a proud smile, placing his hand on her shoulder as they all met in the kitchen.

"We should definitely do this more often!" Clint said, exchanging smirks with Tony. "Yeah Steve, when's our next lesson where we get to beat up Jodie?" He asked with a chuckle. "Well it's on you, because I can't feel anything. So you're just kinda wasting your time." She retorted, grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl as a snack.

"I was watching her by the door before. You did do good Jodie, you should be proud of yourself," Natasha commented with a smile. "Your powers are getting stronger, and maybe if you keep this up you can come on my next mission with me." She added, looking in thought.

"Really?! Thank you Aunt Nat, I won't let you down!" She smiled widely as everybody else congratulated her while she hugged Steve.

"Speaking of," she looked up from her phone. "I guess you're going on your first mission tonight. Another hydra base had just popped up." She read out loud, reading what was happening from her phone.

"Didn't we just destroy a base last weekend? Why do they keep popping up everywhere?"
Clint asked, not seeming too happy about this. "That seems to be their thing now. Whenever we destroy them, a new one pops up." Tony explained with a shrug.

"Well, then I guess everyone suit up. Jodie, you too." Steve ordered the team, smiling at Jodie. She smiled widely and instantly did so, getting on her suit for her very first official mission with the team.
