31|Getaway (1)
Talk about Gina and Knox's marriage was still creating buzz around the city; some made-up stories and some added and subtracted from the truth. Watching the television, Gina rolled her eyes at what one gossip monger had to say as she packed a suitcase and got prepared for a very anticipated mini vacation.
She had called up Sally earlier, informing her of her impending escapade and also promising that as soon as she got back, she would help her with some wedding planning. Gina knew that without those reassuring words, Sally would probably be sour about the whole thing, but hearing about her wedding really got her interested.
"Hey, ready to go?" knox asked, appearing at the door, smiling.
"Just about," she said, zipping up the suitcase. Knox moved towards her and kissed her quickly on the cheek before he led the way with Gina's luggage in hand.
Downstairs, a temporary chauffeur was there to assist as they made their way to the vehicle. They began their journey less than five minutes later, appreciating the fresh air and the feeling that things were finally looking up.
After doing some research on some couples resorts, they had agreed on Him and Her resort, a five starred getaway located on the outskirts of Las Angeles.
Gina sighed. "I only hope there's no paparazzi there. I can't stand them."
"I doubt it. They have very strict security measures there," Knox reassured.
"Hmm." Gina was unconvinced because where she was concerned, the security was never strict enough to stop pictures from leaking and the media from tracking. She only hoped that wasn't the case this time.
Knox reached out to hold her hand, seeing how unsure she was about the whole situation. He understood her great dislike for the media, as he too shared similar sentiments.
"Hey," he said, shifting a bit in his seat to face her. "When we get back we can move to where ever you want if you're tired of the media always being in your back. We can even live in the Caribbean..." he suggested with a smile.
Gina grinned. "Sounds tempting but I think that when our life begins to get boring, we won't have them around so much."
Knox made a face. "Boring? I don't think that will ever be in our books, ma'am," he grinned, slowly dipping his head to kiss her.
Gina shuffled closer, warming herself into his embrace as the kiss deepened to great lust, beckoning more than the lips could offer. But for propriety's sake, they kept it minimal, seeing that their was no partition in the SUV to give them privacy, along with the fact that the weird driver was constantly peaking through his rearview to see what was happening around back.
Gina smiled against his lips and cuddled closer to Knox while they continued their drive to what they hoped would be a wonderful getaway.

From the moment they arrived, Gina knew that the overwhelming breath of fresh air received from the atmosphere would prove beneficial. There was this serenity that lifted her spirits and she loved the feeling.
Knox huffed out a breath. "Well, this is it."
"It's beautiful," Gina said, her eyes focused mainly on the Palm trees that lined the walkway. "Let's go."
They went inside the beautiful blue and white beach front building and while Knox sorted things out at the reception area, Gina was just busy admiring the sheer beauty of it all.
The shimmering floor reflected the images of couples strutting along with smiles on their faces. The subtle colored walls were decorated with beautiful and illustrative art while potted plants hid in every corner. From where she stood, Gina was able to see a pathway that led to some other parts of the building and through an opened window, the beautiful beach was visible.
"Hey, sweetheart" Knox said as he turned to her. "So apparently, no phones are allowed," he informed with a small scowl on his face.
"What?" she exclaimed, looking to the model-like receptionist who was ready to explain.
"At Him and Her resort, the relationship is all that matters. We try to make this getaway exactly what it is and that's getting away from the constraints of society and the things that sometimes get in the way of one on one communication. We strictly prohibit technological devices and there will be no access to newspapers or televisions. Our focus is with you and your focus should be with each oother. The only phones available are the ones in the bedrooms which can only access staff," she explained and then she smiled, leaving Gina to think she sounded just like what the ad would say.
Nevertheless, she was impressed. As much as she loved her phone she figured she would do fine without it for a couple days. Knox seemed impressed too, his scowl had transformed into a small smile as his gaze lingered to Gina.
"We have our phones now, so..."
"It will be kept safely until your stay has come to an end," she reassured. "I recommend turning it off first."
Doing just that with a bit of hesitance, both Gina and Knox handed their cellular devices to the woman who placed tags on them and locked them away in a container.
"We have couples activities scheduled throughout the day which we recommend. Some are compulsory and some, optional," she said, handing a small brochure to both Gina and Knox. "Our attendant will direct you to your room. I hope you enjoy your stay," she smiled, signaling to a tall man in suit who came to assist with the luggage.
They walked behind the young man who led the way.
"Such a strict place," Gina muttered softly. "But it's nice to see that employees aren't fawning over us for once."
Knox chuckled and lowered his head to her ear to whisper, "it's like we're normal people here. Scary..." he joked, smiling when Gina grinned.
Pulling her closer to him, he wrapped a hand around Gina's shoulder and dropped a kiss atop her head.
A flower-lined boardwalk directed them to a small cabin set apart from everything else and that was also located in the water - away from the shoreline. There were a few others moderately spaced while the main building -on land - held the other rooms.
"How comes we get a cabin?" Gina enquired.
"Because I got the best for the best," he winked, loving the blush that bloomed her cheeks.
The bellman opened the door and stood at the side to allow the couple entry. "This is your suite. Cabin three," he informed, handing over the keys.
"Thankyou," Knox said, reaching into his pocket where he retrieved his wallet to tip the man.
"That won't be necessary sir," he smiled, fully poised. "Enjoy your stay."
Shocked was the most suitable word to describe how Knox felt.
Gina was the first to enter, instantly in awe when her eyes came upon the interior design and set up. A huge canopy bed stood in the middle with beautiful white linen, nightstands at both ends and to the side a transparent view of the resort. The entire space had a cool and comfy feel that Gina was immediately taken with. Even the crisp citrus coloured walls met with Gina's approval, along with soft furnishings.
"This is great," she stated, moving around while Knox put their things away. She began her tour and stopped at a door she assumed was the bathroom. Turning, she glanced at Knox who was just as curious to see.
Gina opened it and held her breath when her eyes met up with glass bottom floors with the beautiful view of the sea beneath her feet. Everything else was white and constituted of everything that would make their stay even more lovely. A door was at the back, Gina realised and immediately went to check. Opening, she was entranced by the beautiful ocean that presented itself. You could see for miles of breathtakingly beautiful water, with the sun almost set and the sky darkening from an earlier blue to dusky grey and soft orange. It was easily one of the most beautiful things she'd ever seen.
"It really is," Knox agreed, both breathing in the refreshing salt-sea air.
Gina turned to him and wrapped her hands around his neck. "So what's the first thing you wanna do right now?"
A devious smile curled the corners of his lips while his gaze dropped to her cleavage. "You."
Somewhere deep down, Gina was hoping that would be the answer he'd give. There was no denying the chemistry that was building between them ever since they left the house. Now in the confines of a cosy cabin, it's theme romance, there was no better place to explore the romantic fever that was burning them up.
His mouth dipped and softly touched hers -gentle teasing- before Gina's mouth slightly opened up to accommodate his sweet tongue. Fire sparked the moment his touched hers and a strong urge of need began to develop from the the bottom of their beings. Knox anchored his hands to Gina's waist, pulled her closer, feeling the gentle indentation while he kissed her deeper, knowing it would prompt something stronger. Gina released a soft moan, her senses gone haywire. This close she could feel the hard bulge of his erection through their clothes.
As hot white desire consumed them both, Gina buried her hands in his glossy hair and kissed him with all the passion she could muster. His mouth was wonderful and with him holding her so close, it made her feel every defined and hard part of his body while his soft, satin lips created a mindblowing contrast.
Then with one gente jolt, Gina was lifted from the floor, their lips apart, while she gasped at the unexpectedness of it but laughed when she realised what he was doing...
Carrying her to the bed.
