Amy's eyes widen at the news. So many questions appeared in her head. "Tails? He's been found?  Where were these sightings? Was he okay?" "What's the bad news?" Charmy asked. Cream eyes began to tear up again; "We cannot confirm that these sightings were indeed T-tails." She choked. "Whoever he was, he knew he was being followed and attacked the ones who saw him. They claim that he moved too fast to really see if it was him." she sniffed. "He went completely savage on them." 

    "Cream, where were these sightings?" Amy asked. A new voice then cut in; "Unfortunately, even if we knew were he was, we aren't supposed to give you that information as were are orders." The four looked to see Dr. Quack covered in blood from working on patients. "Dr. Quack! Good to see you. With all due respect, why can't we know?" Amy asked. "A pleasure to see you as well Ms. Rose. But I'm pretty sure we all know the answer to that one, seeing as to how you're his friends, once you find out the location to where he may or may not be hiding, you'll stop at nothing to retrieve him."

    "Obviously! He's been missing for five months! We can't just let him out there!" Vector exclaimed. The quack then gave out a heavy sigh. "I understand how you feel. Believe me when I say, I'm worried about him as well. It's obvious how close he and Sonic was with each other, add that on to being on ground zero of where it all went down and couldn't help his brother in arms, the pain that poor boy is feeling, the guilt that is killing him slowly, he's stuck in a really deep slump, he NEEDS medical treatment, he's probably stopped eating and has lost a lot of weight. Even if you got him here, he would be hellbent on getting revenge and heaven forbid he gets himself killed! I've wanted nothing more than to help that boy ever since all of this went down. But, you have to understand that as much as he needs you, so does the rest of the rest of the world!"

  As much as it hurt, everyone knew that the doctor was right. They have to focus on the bigger picture for Sonic, Tails and the rest of the world. Vector and Charmy were looking down on the ground, Amy was speechless, and Cream fell to her knees, the tears just kept coming, sadness that she felt, she couldn't even imagine what Tails is going through. They were so focused on the doctors words that they didn't even notice Knuckles, listening to everything. In a fit of anger and sadness, he punched the wall, then left for his quarters. Eggman AND that damn masked Mobian are going to pay for hurting his friends, his family.

  But, then again, the main difference about this war compared to the last one, was Sonic himself. Sure, there were a number of victories the Freedom Fighters had without his assistance, but it was his courage, humility, and all around positivity were major inspiration for everyone everywhere to stand up and fight against Dr. Robotnik. "What are we going to do?! What am I going to do?! Everyone is counting on me to get us through this." He thought aloud after reaching his room. "Maybe I should just give u-!!!"

   He was silenced by a Screw Kick to the gut. "What the hell?" he coughed, now is NOT a good time to be dealing with her. "Don't you DARE finish that sentence you stupid echidna." The emotional bat said. "You'd better have a good reason to have come here, Rouge. I'm in no mood to be dealing with you." he growled. "I have some intel to give you, but before I do... Are you okay?" He scoffed, "Like you care." Rouge took in a deep breath and began to explain what she found out with her mission. 

    Knuckles couldn't breathe. What she told him. "Is it true? Could it really be? What are we going to do- " his now racing thought were once again interrupted by the bat. "I should also tell you that this is the last time I'll be meeting you like this."

   "What do you mean?" He asked. He was met with the sight of her back, she refused to look at him. "I mean, I won't be coming back." She huffed. "You're just going to leave after giving me that piece of information?! Can't you at least confirm if it's true?" He questioned. "It's true alright." She whispered, still having her back facing him. Knuckles went quiet, thinking of all of the possibilities with this. Knuckles then relaxed, then more motivated. Rouge on the other hand, still hasn't moved and waited for him to explain himself. 

   "How exactly did you find out?" The nerve of that echidna! "I figured I was gone long enough, I didn't want Eggman to have anymore suspicion of me, so I went back to the Death Egg. On my way there, I heard something I wish I hadn't." "What was that?" he asked. "I'll explain that in a sec. Once I realized that Eggman had prisoners up there, I started planning a prison break, but it I won't be starting that until Shadow is back at 100%." she explained. " I was counting all of the captives and I saw that it was him." 

    "This is great! But wait, why did you say this is the last time we'll be meeting like this?" 

     Her already crossed arms tightened their grip in anger and hurt. "To be completely honest with you, I surprised you haven't questioned me yet." "What do you mean?" She walked further away from him. "You actually listened to what a potential traitor had to say. Yeah, that's right that thing I heard on the way to the Death Egg? I heard Infinite revealing there was a traitor here in the Resistance. You lost your temper, and attacked Infinite, mad about the possibility of a traitor, I heard you. You said "don't talk about her like that." I KNOW for a fact that I'm your only spy. You had automatically assumed that I had betrayed you!" She was now raising her voice. "Have you ANY idea how hurt I was?! How could you think that I would do that to you guys?! Not only that but you could've been seriously hurt or worse!"

    "Rouge, I-"

    "Save it, I don't even want to hear what stupid excuse you have in that stupid mouth of yours! I'm so mad and relieved that you're in front of me right now, I don't know what to do with myself! Despite what you may think, I genuinely care about you and your opinion Knuckles. But whatever, I don't care anymore! I'll still be helping you guys out, because I want those guys gone-"

   "Rouge, I-

   "I don't want your stupid apologies."

   "Well what do you want?!" He yelled.

    "..." 

    "This is a time of war, not like before! We don't have our trump card, everyone's lives here on on my hands here since I'm taking charge! I panicked, that's no excuse, but and DON'T take this the wrong way. My hands are tied, what else am I supposed to think? No one else is as skilled as you when it comes to intel. "

   "What's that supposed to mean?!" She turned around, eyes tearing up.

   "I said don't take it the wrong way!" He gulped, caught off guard by her tears.

   "How else am I supposed to take it?"

    "I don't know!" he growled in frustration. 

    "Whatever. I'm out of here." she said walking away towards the exit.

     As she began to open the door, he quickly grabbed her and yanked her back into his room, a little too hard because she lost her footing and they both tripped. Knuckles landed on top of her and avoided actually injuring her with his weight despite his own injuries. Rouge had started to blush, she had always been close to him and took charge when it came to flirting with him, but HE has never been this close to her. It was new, she liked it... But it's wrong! She should be mad at him, not blushing like a school-girl because he's trying to prove a point to her. 

   "Why do you think I'm trying to apologize Batgirl?!" He said, not really noticing how close they were. "I'm trying to tell you, that because of Silver and Espio, we found the traitors. I'm sorry that I doubted you. That was me being my gullible self. I'm sorry that I have to rely on you for such heavy tasks. I'm sorry but, you're not going anywhere, you're stuck with me. You don't deserve that." he said. 

   "That being said, thank you for sticking with my gullible self, thank you for allowing me to rely on you. Thank you for staying by my side. Thank you." Rouge couldn't stop blushing and covered her face. "You stupid stupid echidna. Get off of me."

   "No."

   "What?"

   "Not until you say you forgive me."

    "..."

   "Well?"

     "....Fine. Now get off of me, you're too heavy."

   With that, the Resistance Commander got off of the Spy. After composing herself, she then slapped him . "OW! What the hell was that for?!" He said holding his cheek. "That was for being a stupid echidna." She then grabbed his shoulders then kissed the same spot she smacked. "W-what the h-hell was that for?" He stammered. "That was for being MY stupid echidna." 

   "W-what?"

    "Well pleasure doing business with you! But I gotta jet, places to go, lives to save, I'm so busy these days! I should really take a vacation after we win." She said leaving.  "Ciao." She winked. 

    "Wait! You can't just go around saying stuff like that! Get back here Batgirl!" 

   "You stupid echidna..." She thought.

   [With Eggman and Infinite]

  "So these Chaos Emeralds, have the power to turn thoughts into power? And once harnessed they grant the user ultimate power?" Infinite asked.

    "That is correct." Eggman confirmed working on his new creation.

    "And Shadow has access to these powers, but doesn't have a good hold to them?" 

    "Yes. But that doesn't mean he's weak." 

     "I already know that. What happens when one can harness the powers of the Emeralds?"

    "I only know that when one harnesses the SOME of the power of the Emeralds namely those nuisances of hedgehogs; can obtain some sort of Super form. Chaos was revived to be a Emerald holder for me, but because the Emeralds were too powerful for even him and the Guardian of the Chao had submitted to the Emeralds power."

    "How so?"

    "As we both know, my creations are more perfect than the last. But Chaos is organic he's known as The God of Destruction, and often only appears when there is a great crisis present. He's not one of my creations (though I wish he was...)

    "Just get to the point."

     "*Sigh* What I mean is, because of the so called "tragic fall" of the Chao over a millennia ago thanks to the Echidna's, with the power of the Emeralds, Chaos succumbed to the power of his own rage." The doctor explained.

   Infinite then looked down at his own hand. "The power to make thoughts into reality, huh? Interesting." 

    "What are you thinking about?"

     "Well with that kind of power, not only would I be reunited with my team, but...never mind"

    "You're not planning on betraying me are you? Because if you are..."

     "No. You are my best client, you've given me this great power. You can have world domination, I want something else."

      "Hmm? And what exactly would that be?"

     "Well, when I was out, before that bastard Shadow came, I saw someone. She was beautiful and I want her."

     "You Mobians and your need for a significant other." Eggman scoffed.  

     The coyote growled at him, warning him to stop. "It's not like I want to be with her. but I can't help but want her. I hate this feeling of neediness, but I also know that want her next to me, even of it means that she doesn't want to be, not that it matters. After seeing her face full with fear and despair, I couldn't help but love that feeling of dominance. I want to see that expression in her face everyday."

     Eggman then wiped the grease off his face; "Alright, I'll bite. Who's the unlucky girl?"

     "It's the pink hedgehog from the Resistance."

     "AMY ROSE?!" If Eggman had a heart, it would have gone into cardiac arrest from pure shock. Once getting over said shock, the mad doctor then was thrown into a fit of raging laughter. 

   "Is that so hard to believe?"

   The doctor couldn't answer his question due to the maniacal laughing fit. 

   "Whatever, I'll be in the West Wing resting, I used more energy I had thought." he said taking his leave.

     Soooooo yeah there's Chapter 6! I really those who are reading give me some critiquing or some suggestions even. I really hope that you guys are enjoying it.
