An Author's note before I start this next chapter;  I cannot go to sleep for shit. I just checked, and there are already at least 70 views on this story! Thank you very much for reading my work (although most of the time it's made up on the spot, so if there is some inconsistency, sorry. ^_^'.) I write the story on my computer then check for any mistakes on the my phone. I also want to do a shout out to otro_comentario. Usually with 10 to 20 minutes of me publishing a chapter, I get a notification saying that they voted already, so thank you! 

     If you haven't noticed, this loosely based on the comics and the games. Any references you may no get, look it up. I don't feel like summarizing everything.  So yeah... like I said in the last chapter; I personally DO NOT believe that Sally Acorn is some slutty bitch solely existing to make Amy's (and to an extent, Sonic's) life living hell. I believe that she is kind, caring, smart, protective, and a capable leader. That is my personal opinion just like how I ship Shadamy and Sonally, if you don't agree, then oh well. You're more than welcome to express yourself, I have no problems with it. Anyways, thank you. Now onto the story. ________________________________________________________________________________

     Rouge was flying through the sky, full of emotions; happy, sad, angry, and most of all, worried. Angry and sad because that idiotic echidna had butt-dialed her while facing Infinite, she had heard Knuckles, and figured that he thought she had betrayed him. Happy, because of the valuable information she had just found out hacking Eggman's archives. Worried, because that stupid echidna had faced Infinite in a fit of fury and got himself injured and Shadow already weakened, had used a great portion of his energy to help the rebels escape Infinite and because there is a spy hidden within the Rebels!!

   "First and foremost, I gotta find Shadow. He's practically a sitting duck with how much power he's used." She thought to herself searching for one of her partners. Luckily, Team Dark always had access to their teammates location tracking down their communicators, should one of them ever find themselves ambushed or lost. Following the scanners location, the frantic bat quickly found her way to her teammate alongside the ruins of Red Bay Bridge.

  "Shadow!" She called out.

  No answer.

 "Shadow!"

   ...

"SHAD-"

  "Would you keep it down?! I'm trying to rest!" The ebony hedgehog snapped.

  "Well, I wouldn't have been so loud if you had answered me in the first place, Sunshine." she snapped back. 

 "Whatever, I'm too tired to argue, used up quite some energy saving your boyfriend."

 "..."

  "Something wrong?" he asked.

  "No, I have some news, that you should hear, after I get you back to HQ, I'm gonna relay it to the Rebels." 

  "What kind of news?" ________________________________________________________________________________

   In order to not cause a scene in front of everyone else, Silver had accompanied Espio into taking the two Mobians into the rebels interrogation room. No one had seen the level-headed chameleon of the Chaotix snap like that, so it was kind of unsettling seeing him act in such a way, especially after a battle. Knuckles went to go visit Dr. Quack in the infirmary, due to the war he started travelling, luckily it was Central Wing's turn to have inspection done. Of course he's not doing it by himself, he has his protege's and assistance already stationed in all of the divisions of the Resistance. It just brings everyone more peace and reassurance when he comes to visit.  

  Vector looked around for the Rookie but there was no sight of them anywhere. He then looked over to Charmy; "Hey Charm. have you seen the Rookie anywhere?"

"Since we're low on active field agents, Knuckles sent them on a mission."

  "Fresh out of training?"

 "We're low on options."

"I guess... say, why don't you go visit the Doc?" He asked.

  The bee started shaking "No way! W-what if he tries t-to give me a shot? I hate sharp things!"

"..."

"Really?" 

"What?"

"You. Are. A. Bee!"

"So? Just because I have stinger, doesn't mean I like using it!"

  "Man, you really are a kid."

"Shut up! Being a kid is better than being a man-baby!"

"What did you say you little runt?!"

"You heard me! Dumb Gorilla!"

"Imma Crocodile! Ya ant with wings!"

"Coulda fooled me!"

"WHY I OUTTA-"

A familiar voice cut in; "SHUT UP! Too damn noisy..." 

The two detectives looked over to see an awakened Amy Rose and immediately stopped their bickering, if there's one thing you DO NOT want, it's a tired / just awakened Amy Rose...

"Yes sir! Sorry sir! Forgive us sir!" they saluted.  

 "All is forgiven." she smiled. 

 The two then rushed over to give her a hug. "How ya feelin Rosy?" Vector asked.

  "Much better, I think a rest is all I really needed." She lied through her teeth.

  But due to the battle they just got back from, and the training prior to that, they were too tired to notice much. "Hey, the good Doc is in the house, why don't you let him give you a check up?" Vector suggested. "I guess that won't hurt." she sighed. But before she left, she looked back; "Geez guys, was training with they new kid that hard? Maybe you should get a check up too. You don't look so hot yourselves." 

"Actually we-NMMMM! NMMP!" the croc made sure to cover the young bee's mouth before he could say anything.
"You are absolutely right! We will definitely be visiting Doc." He exclaimed. Amy could tell they were hiding something from her. Vector talks differently when hiding something. But in all honesty, she was too tired to care. "Alright then, let's go."
  "Sir, yes, sir!" They followed.
  Traveling to the infirmary didn't take long, but waiting in the line did, left and right there were Mobians from having a cold to actual wounds. So the hedgehog, bee, and croc were going to be there for a while. This gave Amy more time to evaluate what she saw. Once again going deep into thought, Charmy used this opportunity to ask Vector why he silenced him.
  "Because, you know what would've happened if she found out we faced off against that creep? She would have given us more injuries than he did!" The croc explained, whilst whispering.
  "Ah. Gotcha." He answered. And with that, they headed to Dr. Quack.

  [Amy's POV] 

  "What exactly did I see back there?" the pink she-hog, thought to herself.  "It was obviously an illusion, but it felt so real... My friends, they were bruised and battered. Lifeless. It looked like even the strong, like Shadow had fallen without much of fight."

   Shadow, too many times have their paths have crossed since the start of this war. So much that, at one point, she had thought that he was following her, whenever she was assigned field missions. But she was sure that them crossing paths was just a coincidence. But his saving her earlier wouldn't have been the first time he has saved her. 

   "And Sonic... That's the biggest clue that it was a illusion. He's dead... how on Mobius was he walking, talking, and breathing? But, what he said...;"

     "I thought you...loved me... why did you give me up?" That really stung, I truly wanted him to be happy, and if that happiness lied with Sally, then so be it. I knew that I had to grow up soon enough, but why? After the news of his death, I'm amazed with myself that I didn't lose my sanity, like Tails." the hogette thought to herself.

  Her mind then wondered towards the young twin tailed kitsune, if not her or Sally, then he was the most devastated over Sonics' death. After he was rescued, he was quiet during the days he spent here with us, during the memorial, during the birth of the Resistance. Then, he went M.I.A., no letter, no warning, nothing. This kind of stuff takes time, she understood that much, but she still wanted to know where he was to at least check on him, seeing if he's eating right, needs a shoulder to cry on-

 [Normal POV] 

     The pink hedgehog's thought were interrupted when she felt a fuzzy force knock the wind out of her. "AMY!! I missed you SO much!!" A familiar voice cried out. Amy looked down to see a crying Cream the Rabbit with a mewing Cheese the Chao squeezing onto her. "Cream..? What are you dong here?" she asked, hugging the young rabbit back. Of course, Cream didn't answer right away, trying to compose herself, and Amy catching her breath from said rabbit's "attack" After a few deep breaths, Cream explained how she became first aide in training to help others. 

    "What about your mother? I doubt she's comfortable with you traveling all these ways during the war." Amy asked. 

    "Actually, it was Mama's idea." Cream explained.

    "What?!"

    "Yep! In fact, Mama is finishing patching up Mr. Knuckles right now!" 

     That's when Vector cut in; "Wait a sec kid. Your mom's here right now?!"

     "Mm-hmm!" The rabbit answered.

      "Excited to see your girlfriend? Eh Vector?" Charmy teased.

      "Shut-up!" Vector blushed. 

     "Besides all of that, I have news." Cream said in a serious tone.

     "Good or bad?" 

      "Both."

      "Shoot."

     "There have been reports of sightings of a fox with two tails."
