Knuckles P.O.V
It's time to say goodbye to everyone even though it's going to be hard, Rouge and I are going to Angel Island, but not where everyone goes, we're going to a secret place in the ground of the Island, and I'm going to have to ask the Master Emerald to raise the Island even higher so that NO ONE can find us. As I say goodbye to Nicole and Rotor, I here some sniffling. 'Huh?' Who could that be? As I turn the corner I see that it's Rouge! "Rouge, are you alright?" I ask her. "Oh! Knuckles! I'm fine really!" I can tell she's lying. "No your not." "H-How did you know?" She asked me. "You called me Knuckles." I said. "Wow I didn't know you were so observant." She said surprised. "I'm not as much as a knuckle-head you think I am." "Yeah I can see that." She said smiling a little bit. "It's just that I'm not good when it comes to saying "Goodbye'" she explained. Hold the phone, what? "Goodbye? What do you mean by that?" I asked her. "Well you know, all of us leaving and-" "This isn't goodbye, Rouge. This is a 'See you later.'" I said, reassuring her. "Thanks Knuckles I-" I cut her off. "Would you stop calling me that? Everyone calls me by my name, but you don't! I'm a knuckle-head remember?" "Yeah, thanks, knuckie." "Hey, hold on there, I said knuckle-head, not that stupid nickname you gave me a while back." "Uh-huh" and with that she flew away, probably saying goodbye to Shadow. "Hello Mon Ami." "OH!! Gosh Antoine don't scare me like that!" I said startled. "I apologize, Knuckles. I have come here to say, how you say, "See you later." He said in his thick French accent. Wait! "You heard that?! Oh come on Ant!" He started laughing. "I have never seen your gentle side, unless you are talking to Cream, Mon Ami... Do you..?" Oh great! Just because I'm nice to my rival, who just so happens to be a female, automatically assumes that I like her! "Ant, are you implying something to me?" I asked him cautiously. Next thing I see is his cocky smirk. I swear, if I didn't know any better, I would say his smirk is more cockier than Sonic and Shadow's combined. "On contrare, Knuckles, I see faint attraction between the two of you that will grow stronger in due time." He said. "What are you some 'Love Doctor'?" I asked him with a hint of sarcasm. "I am going to miss you Mon Ami." He said sadly. "Don't worry, you eavesdropper, didn't you here me? This is 'See you later.'"
