Rouge P.O.V

It's three days since Tails and Cream left and it's been hard on everyone, especially Sonic and Amy. I don't blame them. Before he found Tails' parents, Sonic was like Tails' dad/brother and same with Amy and Cream. They must be heartbroken. If this guy is THAT strong then I'd better step up my A-game. You know it may not look like it but, ever since Sonic and the others have welcomed me with open arms, after everything I've done to them, I'm really trying to stop with the stealing, of course I still believe that all the world's jewels are mine or the taking, but I'm going to take a break from that.
And the echidna is who told me all of this, you know joining the team, having a family...
~Flashback-
"Well that's the last time I ever speak to him again! All I did was just ask for a raise, nothing much right?" I asked the ebony hedgehog next to me, while being escorted out of G.U.N Headquarters. "You did more than that, Rouge, you actually threatened him and had Omega point his arsenal weapons at him." He replied. " Excuse me, sir but I think I can find my way out of this hunk of junk!" I yelled at the officer who which, by the way was holding me. "Sorry ma'am, but rules are rules, the Commander said that he'll call you in when needed." He responded. "And when will that be?" I questioned. "Don't know." He said. Much to my dismay, we weren't heading for the doors, we were heading for the cell doors! "Hold it, Hold it! Why are we heading for the cells?" "The two of you are much to dangerous to be left out on your own, without us watching you." The other officer said, quite rudely if I may add. "So you're just gonna cage us?! We're not animals you know!" Shadow spoke up, "Yes we are. You're a bat and I'm the Ultimate hedgehog." Oh Yeah! Wait a minute!... "Just who side are you on, Shadow?!" "To be honest, yours, but you did sound stupid saying that.." Grrrr...." JUST WHO ARE YOU CALLIN STU-" Zzzzap! I'm knocked unconscious.
When I woke up I found myself, not in a cage, but in a room. And by the looks outside of the window, on a tropical island. Wait, just where exactly am I?
Knuckles P.O.V
The Commander wanted to speak with me about putting two bases on either side of Angel Island. I decided to go with his offer, as long as his soldiers keep their filthy hands off of the Master Emerald. As In heading towards the base I hear some familiar voices, "So you're just gonna cage us?! We're not some animals you know!" Batgirl! Wow does she know how stupid she sounds? JUST WHO ARE YOU CALLING STU-" Oh crap how the hell did she hear me?! Wait why'd it get quiet? "Rouge!" That's Shadow! Did something happen to Batgirl? I look over and see that she was knocked unconscious! Anger and rage boiled inside of me. "What have you done to her?!" Shadow questioned. "What you saw is what you saw, she was getting out of hand." A rude soldier responded. 'What?! That's it!' I glide over to the main office and see that Commander Tower was just giving the usual orders, until he noticed me. "Ah! Knuckles! Good to see you! Have you come to give me your answer about the deal?" "Yes, I have." I said still angry about what I just saw. "Well what is it?" I reply softly yet dangerously slow, " Not. A. Chance." "WHAT!!!" He yelled shocked. "Why?!" He demanded. "Because if you can't trust your own soldiers, how am I supposed to trust you?" "What do you mean?" He asked confused. "DON'T PLAY DUMB WITH ME!!! WHY DID I SEE AGENTS ROUGE AND SHADOW LOCKED UP?!" "Rouge was basically forcing me to give her a raise, and Shadow, I never trusted him in the first place." " The deal is off." "WHAT WHY-" I cut him off, "Instead, why don't we make a trade." That got his attention. "What kind of trade?" "In exchange for Rouge the Bat and Shadow the Hedgehog's freedom, you will get to build ONE base on my island." "But the deal was-!" "Take it or leave it." "Grrr... Fine." Hook. Line. And Sinker. "Attention Agents 274 and 365, release the prisoners." He said in a communicator. "Yes sir." "Take them and go." "With pleasure." Soon enough I got them to safety in my home. Shadow was still up and out, but Rouge was still knocked out. "You have  my thanks." Shadow said. "I don't get it, you're stronger than they are so why didn't you fight back?" I questioned. "Well I decided against it because they have Omega in custody and Rouge was already in deep trouble as it was." Oh so he was just watching out for his teammates. Hey, Shadow if you don't wanna stay bored and all, maybe I could convince my pals to let you join our team, you know, officially." "That's very kind of you Echidna, but I don't think-" "Of course Shads can join our little club!" Huh? Oh right, Sonic, Tails and Amy were supposed to come over today. "He could be a valuable asset to the team." Amy started on another topic. "Is Rouge alright?" I look over and see her First-Aid Kit with some other medicine in her hands, well that's Amy for ya. "In my room." I said pointing my thumb in that direction.
*Timeskip*
"Ohhh... My aching head." Rouge complains. "It's going to take a few days for that to go away." I explained to her. "Tell pinky I said thanks for those painkillers." "Will do." "And Shadow told me what you did for us so I wanted to say thank you." I felt heat go up to my cheeks for a minute. "No problem, anytime." I answered her. "Oh and one more thing Knuckle-head..." "What?" "Pinky told me that you recommend that Shadow and I join your group of friends..." Oh! "Yeah, what about it?" "Well to be honest I want to hear it from you." Wow, she was really blunt about it. "Oh! In that case, there's always room for two more in the family."
Rouge's P.O.V
Family..? I can be part of a family? Surrounded by people I can trust with all of my heart and not be alone? I was tearing up a bit. "W-When do I sign up?"
~End Flashback~
Ever since that day, I've been having the time of my life with these guys, and along the way, that Knuckle-head said that we were going to set Omega free. So fingers crossed.
