"So,what's next?" Ruby asked, as she always did, with a curious tone to her voice

"Next we shall see Jaune as great pirate captain." View said as he grabbed the next tape "well, great in his eyes."

"Oooh pirates!" Sun said, glee clear in his voice "they are so cool!"

"Thievery and murder is never cool mr wukong." Goodwitch repramanded "Do not idealize these things."

Roman scoffed "Only you could make something as cool as pirates sound boring"

Goodwitch shot him a glare but ignored his remark

The scene opened on a man standing on the top of a bullhead. He wore a large hat that pointed off into three different directions. His face had a small gotte and several scars, with his eyes being a dark blue. He wore a long trench coat with lots of different clothes hanging from his belt.

On the belt was a cuttlass attached to his hip, close to that was a small flintlock pistol.

"Oh my god!" Ruby exclaimed with a child's excitement "He's so awesome!"

"He's a real pirate!" Sun exclaimed with equal excitement "Pirates are awesome!"

"Must I remind you again Mr wukong, the path of a pirate is not one to be admired."

"Glynda" Qrow said, gathering most of Ozpins areas attention "Shut up, pirates are awesome"

Several of the adults facepalmed at Qrows childness while raven just sighed

The camera pans out father to reveal that the bullhead is in fact not a bullhead, but a small flying boat, one commonly used by fishermen. The boat was shaking as it flew, and the man hopped down from the crows nest and tried to access the damages.

"Aww, I thought he was a sick pirate guy." Ruby said sadly

"He can still be a cool pirate guy." Neptune said, trying to stay positive "maybe he's just in the market for a new ship?"

"How the hell did he even break one of those ships to that magnitude?" Ironwood said, very confused "Those things are made to be durable, very durable."

As the man was trying to access the damages something caught his eye. On a ridge near the main port of Vale was several hanging skeletons. Each wore a similar outfit to the man, minus the skin attached to their bones. A sign next to them read

"Pirates Ye be warned"

The man took his hat off and lowered his head in respect

"That's, gruesome." Qrow commented "Didn't know vale was like that."

"It's not." Ozpin said "if it was, Roman would be there among them."

"It's true" Roman said, to the slight surprise of the teachers "I know the law better then anyone, how do you think I break them so often? Hanging has been outlawed for centuries, it's considered inhumane."

"Only humane?" Blake commented "Does it not extend to Fauneses?"

"That's something you don't want to find out kitty kat." Roman answered, a slight Frown on his face

Those working at the docks of Vale were just going about there day when the smoke hit their noses. They turned around to see the man riding in on the now burning ship, and they all were very confused.

The man stood atop the sail as the ship crashed into the water. He stepped off the top of the mast, which was now the same height of the dock, and walked onto the docks.

He walked with a slight sway as his hands were out by his chest. His fingers figgeted constantly, he looked drunk as he walked

"Exscuse me sir!" One of the workers called out to him, getting his attention "it's 10 lien to dock your boat. And I'm going to need your name"

The man looked back at his ship, which was now just a mast sticking above the water, then returned his attention to the man

"How about 50 lien and we forgot the name?" The man said with a slight grin as he spread out the bills on the man's hand

The man took one look at the money before closing the book in his hand

"Welcome to Vale Mr smith."

"Bribery, classic" mercury commented, gaining nods from emerald and Roman

"Really? Is this how low our once great city has stooped?" Goodwitch asked with a sigh

"Oh how the mighty vale has fallen" cinder said with a grin

The man continued down the port, stopping by a pedestal that the worker operated. He noticed a small bag and gave it a little shake, smiling as the rattling of lien was heard from inside. He pocketed the bag and kept moving.

This action caused a few chuckles from the audience

"Ok that was pretty funny" Yang said with a smile "even if it was stealing"

The man then stumbled his way towards a Large air to water ship Parked in the harbor, capable of both sailing and flying.

He attempted to walk onto the ship via a private dock, and he made his way towards the ship

As he did, two lounging guards nearby saw him and ran towards him, both brandishing their rifles and stopping his way forward

"Halt!" One of the guards demanded "This dock is off limits to civilians!"

The man stopped and pointed his finger in the guards face "And I shall let you know if I see one." He then tried to get past the guards only to be stopped again

He tried the other way but was stopped, then again the other and stopped again

"This man is persistent in his efforts to get onto the ship." Winter said with a curious tone "what does he want with it?"

Ren's gazes went up and down the man's outfit, before landing on his wrist, more accurately something on it "there's something on his wrist" Ren said

This gathered the audiences gazes on the wrist, and rens words were true, there was something there.

"Is that a tattoo?" Ruby asked "why is it on his wrist?"

"I heard there was a big ceremony up there" the man gestured up to beacon "some big graduation or whatever"

"The beacon graduation" the nearest guard answered

"Yes that's the one, the beacon gruduation" the man said, intentionally getting it wrong "why are two fine guards like you down here and not celebrating up there?"

"Beacon graduation? Are we graduating?!" Ruby asked, excitement filling her face

"It could be someone else's." Weiss said, always the deliverer of bad news

"Don't ruin the moment Weiss!" Nora said as she stood up and posed "Nora Valkyrie, professional huntman!"

"You mean huntress" Pyrrha corrected with a small smile

"Professional Huntress!" Nora corrected with no less enthusiasm

"So it seems beacon still stands, and cinders plan failed" Salem mused as her gaze fell to the false maiden

Cinder began to sweat a little under his mistresses gaze, but kept her composure

"Well, someone needs to keep this dock off limits to civilians." The farther guard answered, though sounded unsure

"What's so special about this ship anyways?" The man asked "that one out there looks much more impressive" he pointed farther out into the water where a very large ship sat

"Well the dauntless is the power in these waters" the man said while gesturing to the ship out in the water "no ship can match the interceptor in speed" he then pointed to the ship in dock

"I've heard of one" the man said as his grin grew "the black pearl."

"That's an awesome name!" Sun exclaimed with a grin

"It sounds like a pirate ship, a dangerous one." Ironwood commented "as least by the way the man is speaking of it."

The father guard laughed "there's no real ship that can match the interceptor for speed!"

The closer guard scoffed "the black pearl is real!"

The other guard turned to look at him like he was crazy "Really? You think the pearl is real?"

"So this black pearl is some sort of ghost story?" Ozpin asked

"To most it is but a simple story." View answered "but the black pearl is very real."

"Yes it is, I've seen it!"

"Really? You've seen a ship crewed by the dammed with black sails and rotting wood captained by a man so cruel hell itself spat him back out?" The farther guard asked, not noticing the man slipping by him onto the ship

"A man so cruel that hell itself spat him back out, definitely sounds like something straight out of a ghost story." Blake said

"But view did say it was real." Yang said with a shrug "maybe they're over exaggerating?"

"Or maybe there're cursed pirates!" Nora exclaimed "cured by their greed and immortal!"

"That's a stupid theory." Mercury said

"No, I haven't." The closer guard conceded

"Exactly, as I was saying, there is no real ship that can match the interceptor for speed!" Both the guards turned back to the man, only to see him calmly trying to raise the anchor of the ship as he stumbled around the ship

"Hey!" They both yelled as they jumped onto the ship and aimed their weapons at the man

"These guards are completely worthless." Raven said with a bored expression "they should have captured or killed the man by this point."

"State your business here in vale!" The closer guard said, his rifle still aimed at the man

"And no lying!" The farther guard yelled

"Fine then. I plan to commandeer a ship, gather a crew in Tortuga and plunge pillage and steal my Wesley black guts out. " the man said with a calm smile still on his face

"Is he being serious?" Coco asked, very confused "I can't tell."

"I think he is" her partner velvet said, equally confused

"I said no lying!" The farther guard yelled as he lowered his rifle

"I think he's telling the truth." The closer guard said, very confused

"If he was he wouldn't tell us!"

"Unless the man knew you wouldn't believe the truth so told you the truth while knowing you wouldn't believe the truth  being truthed to you wasn't the real truth. Savy?" The man said with his grin still on his face

"What the fuck does that even mean." Emerald said

"He's trying to take them off guard, classic move used by big shots. Why fight when you can talk your way out of a situation?" Roman said with a cigar in him mouth

"Or he's just an idiot." Mercury countered

"Or that." Roman agreed

"You think your a big shot Roman?" Ironwood asked

"But enough to steal your paladins."

High up in the sky in the notorious beacon academy, the yearly graduation ceremony was taking place. The party part of the ceremony was in full affect, with people dancing drinking and having a great time.

With one exception

Ruby rose stood by the ledges of beacon, watching the party with a small smile. She more a tight red dress that completed her beautifully, she looked perfect. Yet here she stood watching the party

"Aww you look amazing!" Yang yelled as she hugged ruby

"Yaaang!"

"Aww my little girl is all grown up! Look how pretty she looks in that dress!" Summer said, gushing at her daughter

"Told ya you would look great without your combat gear." Qrow said while patting ruby's head, who was blushing furiously at all the praise.

Ruby sighed sadly as she gazed out into the beautiful vale day, her eyes filled with nothing but a bored and sad expression.

Party's were never her thing, never had been and would never be. The dresses were so tight she could barely breathe! Ruby much preferred her free moving combat gear.

Her muses were interrupted by someone coming and standing next to her, she turned her attention and smiled.

Standing there in his combat gear stood her Uncle Qrow, who's red eyes met rubys silver ones.

"I see someone's not one for party's."Qrow commented "even if it's yours."

"It's mine?" Ruby asked "does that mean we graduated!"

The beacon students all silently hopped it was so, being hunters were all their dreams.

"It's not mine Qrow" ruby corrected "It's all of ours."

"Still" qrow said as he leaned against a nearby pillar "you only graduate beacon once, you should spend it with your team."

"YES!" the beacon freshman cheered in happiness, they had done it!

Coco just chuckled at their reaction

Salems gaze fell on cinder, who hesitatingly met her mistresses gaze "Cinder my dear, you better hope their is a good explanation for why your plan has failed."

Cinder gulped by gave no reply

Ruby looked at her team, who were on the nearby dance floor each having a great time. Blake was standing near the corner talking to sun, who was smiling like it was Christmas. Weiss and Neptune were dancing in the center of the dance floor, each sporting large smiles as they did.

The four mentioned each began sporting large blushes at each being so close with their crushes, much to the ammusment of their friends.

"I didn't know you could even blush Blake!" Yang exclaimed with a large smile

"Shut up." Blake retorted shoving her face in her hands

"Hmm, I didn't know you liked someone Weiss." Winter commented with a sly grin "I approve."

"WINTER!" Weiss yelled, her pale face now completely red

"Let them have fun." Ruby said as she began to fan herself "It's not for me."

"I know something that'll lighten your mood up." Qrow said as a grin sprouted on his face "Now that you and Yang are full fledged huntresses, you can go on missions with me and your dad." Qrow finished as he looked back at the dance floor

Rubys breath hitched "I can't breathe."

"Well it's not-" he was cut off by the sounds of falling and his attention turned back to ruby

Or where she was

Panicking he looked over the ledge and down into the water bellow beacon, to see it slightly rippling

"RUBY!" He yelled out in terror

"Shit!" Yang said as worry overtook her "Go get her you old Crow!"

"Cmon qrow, save her." Summer half said half pleaded

He began to take off his scythe and threw it on the ground, preparing to jump after but he was stopped by a white arm

"Stop qrow, come to your senses!" Winter said as she held the dark huntsman back

"What the hell are you doing!?" Qrow yelled "I need to save her!"

"Look down there at the rocks! It's a miracle she missed them!" Winter pointed out

True to her words there were several pointed rocks down below where ruby fell, she has just barely missed them

"You better hurry up and get down there!" Tai yelled as he gripped his arm rest "she can't have that much oxygen left!"

"Not helping Tai!" Qrow said, who was also feeling the stress

The scene cut back to the man and the two guards, still on the ship

"Then they made me their chief." The man finished his tale with a large smile, as the two guards looked even more confused

Their confusion was cut short when a red blur flew past them and into the water, creating a large splash that soaked the deck

"Woah!" The man exclaimed as he jumped, then he turned to the two guards

"You gonna save her?" He asked

"I can't swim!" The closer one said, while the farther one just shook his head

"The great beacon guards." The man said annoyed. He took his hat, coat, sword and gun off and handed it to the farther guard.

"Don't lose these." The man said threateningly as he prepared to jump

"Pathetic, there men are paid to keep the people safe yet they leave a person to be saved by a criminal." Goodwitch said with a stern tone "We really need better guards."

"Agreed." Ozpin said while nodding

The man dived into the water and began to swim after the sinking form of ruby rose. He grabbed her by the waist, but not after a shockwave was released from her, going through the ocean.

"What was that?" Velvet asked "how did ruby create a shockwave?"

"It could have been her impact?" Pyrrha suggested "She did fall from a very far height."

"Not far enough for that big of a shockwave." Ren said with a frown

The man dragged Ruby out from the depths and surfaced, getting helped up onto the dock by the two guards.

The man flipped ruby onto her back and put his head to her chest, hearing a faint beep of a heart.

He grabbed a knife from his waist and cut the center of rubys chest, causing her to jump up and spit out a lot of water. Tired, but alive

Ruby's family slumped back in their seats, relived to see her alive.

"I would have never thought of that." The father guard said

"You've Clearly never been to Singapore." The man said with a slightly disgusted look

"What the hell happened in Singapore?" Mercury asked, slight afraid of whatever answer he might get

"Trust me, you don't want to know." View said

Ruby's silver eyes met dull blue as the man tilted his head slightly

"Where in the world did you get those?" He asked while looking at her eyes

This caused the heroes to fall silent in fear. The last person to point out Rubys silver eyes had been the everknight, and that was not a experience that they wanted a repeat of.

The villains were silently cheering for that to be the case.

The man's wonderings were cut off by the arrival of several people. Goodwitch ran up to her student and the mysterious man, followed closely by Rubys own team and sister team, Qrow, Winter and several other huntsman from the grad party.

"On your feet!" Goodwitch commanded as Qrow took ruby in her arms, a slight glare at the man before him.

The man stood and was quickly surrounded by huntsman and guard, who were all looking wearily at the man. Goodwitch's hand rested on her riding crop

"This is the man who saved me!" Ruby exclaimed as he watched the man be surrounded "surely you don't mean to punish my savior!"

Goodwitch looked between the man and ruby, then slowly extended her hand out to the man. "I suppose thanks are in order."

The man looked wearily at the hand, before reaching out to shake the deputies hand.

Goodwitch then reached out and grabbed the man by the wrist, and pulled up his sleeve to reveal a brand. A brand well known to huntsman and law enforment alike. a P

Pirate

"Ah this can't end well." Roman commented with a small frown "to the gallows he goes."

"But he saved me!" Ruby exclaimed, very confused "Why does it matter if he's a pirate?"

"Pirates are vial human beings, they plunder and kill any ship they see." Weiss said factually "they are the worst kind of criminal."

"Ah bugger." The man said annoyed as the huntsman around him got his weapons out

"Pirate!" Winter exclaimed as she drew her rapier "Go get some irons." She commanded to a soldier near her, who obliged.

Goodwitch inspected the tattoo on the man's wrist and grinned "Jaune sparrow, welcome to Vale."

"He's a captain! Even cooler!" Neptune said

"So that is jaune, should have known." Pyrrha said with a frown at seeing her leader on the wrong side of the law

"Captain." Jaune corrected "It's captain jaune sparrow."

"Really, captain?" Goodwitch asked "I don't see your ship anywhere."

"I'm in the market." Jaune said with a smirk

"Told you!" Sun said "he's just in the market."

"I told you he was telling the truth!" The guard from before said as he handed Goodwitch Jaunes stuff "here is his gear Deputy."

Goodwitch inspected the gear before taking the pistol out "A flintlock pistol with one shot and no additional dust or ammo." She shook her head and pulled out the compass, which pointed right at jaune "a compass that doesn't point north." She then unsheathed his sword slightly "and I half expected it to be made of wood."

"So ill equipped, did he honestly expect to get by with just this?" Winter said with a frown "surely he must have known better."

She chuckled to herself before motioning to the solider with the chains to bind the pirate "Your without a doubt the worst pirate I've heard of."

"But you have heard of me." Jaune pointed out with a small smile

As the irons were firmly lached onto Jaunes arms his grin widened "About time"

He then caught ruby by the neck and began to strangle her with his chains, stopping as he looked right at goodwitch

"You bastard!" Yang yelled as her eyes flashed red again "What's the point of saving her if you're gonna threaten her!"

"It's leverage." Roman said "He needs to get out, so he's using a hostage."

"Deputy headmistress before you do anything brash know this." Jaune said as he pressed the chains closer to Rubys neck "This little girlys got no aura left, what happens if I press a little too hard?"

Goodwitch gritted her teeth as Qrows hand inched towards his scythe

"My affects please!" He then pointed a finger at goodwitch "and my hat!"

Goodwitch sighed as she approached the pair and handed the gear to Ruby, who looked terrified. She then turned around and began to reattach the pirates gear

"Woah, careful on the assets." Jaune commented as she reattached his belt

"He's sick." Summer commented as her silver eyes burned with rage "That bastard is dead when I get to him."

"Your sick." Ruby said as she tightened his belt intentionally, Jaune just kept smiling.

"Sticks and stones love, I saved your life you saved mine, we're square." Jaune said as ruby finished reattaching His gear. He flipped the girl around and pointed the pistol right at her head

"Deputy, students, soldiers. Remember this day always." Jaune said as he eyed something to his right "as the day you almost caught, captain jaune sparrow!"

With that he pushed Ruby away and grabbed hold of a pulley, kicking the bottom and it pulled him upwards.

"YEAH! AWESOME PIRATE ESCAPE!" Neptune yelled as he cheered. He was joined by his partner "YARG!" Sun yelled

"This is not a joking matter!" Goodwitch tried to reprimand her students, her efforts were in vain 

"Now will you shoot him?!" Qrow half yelled half asked winter, who was momentarily caught off guard

"OPEN FIRE!" She commanded to the soldiers around her, who took aim and fired upon the flying man along with several of the huntsman

Jaune swung around on the rope and landed on a small wooden plank, dodging bullets as he did.

More and more bullets wizzed past Jaune as he attached his chains to a line and road it down to the farther side of the docks.

"Surely our soldiers are not this inaccurate." Ironwood said with a frown "even if they were the  amount of them should make up for it, the man should be filled with bullets by now."

"Maybe your elite soldiers are as elite as they seem." Cinder commented "I know I've never had trouble running from them."

The man took of running, and the huntsman and soldiers followed sute.

The man sprinted through the vale docks, occasionally dodging bullets and blades as his pressures chased him.

"You've got to try harder then that loves!" Jaune yelled behind him as a shotgun shell went over his head "If it were that easy to catch a pirate, everyone would do it!"

The chase was interrupted when a blur of grey got in front of Jaune, as Qrow pointed his sword-scythe at Jaunes face

"End of the line!" he said "your going to the gallows!"

"How bout this." Jaune corrected "You lay down your weapons, all of ya, and I'll let you live. Savy?"

"Wha- Your completely surrounded!" A confused winter said as she and the crowd of soldiers and huntsman surrounded the pirate "Your in no position to make demands!"

"What are they doing? Get him!" Tai said, annoyed that the man who threatened his daughter was still free

"Ah but you've forgotten one critical detail in your assessment." Jaune said as he drew his sword, a golden hilted cutlass "I'm captain Jaune sparrow."

Jaune raised his sword high and stabbed downwards into the pavement, jabbing his blade deep into the concrete. Then he sat there grinning as he starred at the sword, that just sat in the pavement doing nothing.

"C'mon, do the thing!" He tried to command the sword, which just sat there

"He has to be the worst pirate, ever." Emerald said with a frown "you'd think he would at least have an escape plan."

"The boys alternates have been quite impressive from what little I have seen." Salem said to her underlings "Do not underestimate him."

As several soldiers and huntsman began to approach the man he snapped his finger and chuckled "Ah! Forgot to click the button!"

He reached to his sword hilt, and clicked a button resting on the inside of the grip.

As he did his sword began to glow a brilliant gold, and he also glowed in tangent with it.

He then pulled the sword out of the ground and swung it around him, and a golden beam of aura fired out in all directions. The beam hit the Huntsman and soldiers, who were sent flying backwards from the force hitting them.

The man sheathed his sword with a satisfied grin and the glow left his body.

"A pirate with such aura control, interesting." Ozpin said with a small frown "He must have had quite the teacher, control of aura at that magnitude is rare even among hunters."

"You mean he's doing all that with just his aura?" Ruby asked "is that even possible?"

"Aura control is a pathway to many abilities, from healing wounds to making constructs as Weiss does." Ren said with his neutral tone "There's truly no limit to what you can do with it."

But, Jaunes troubles were not all dealt with, Qrow would not be deterred so easily. He had coated himself in his aura and taken the blow, and was now charging the Pirate

Jaune quickly drew his cutlass once again, and Steel met steel in an clash. Jaune went on the offensive stabbing at Qrow lowers body, trying to take advantage of qrows larger weapon. Qrow was quick to deflect the attacks, and met Jaunes cutlass in a clash by their feet.

The grinning face of a pirate and determined one of a huntsman met, each inches apart from the other. Jaune raised his eyebrows as he sword began to glow again, and shot qrow an amused glance.

Jaune swung upwards, his aura infused blade knocking away Qrows, and connecting with the man's torso.

Qrow was sent spiraling to the ground, his aura dissipating with dull grey glow.

"Already out? Must've wasted a whole lot blocking that attack. It's normal to have performance problems you know." Jaune said slyly

"Defeated by a pirate, I expected more from Ozpins pet." Cinder commented

The man then quickly turned around and parried a attack from a rapier, as winter quickly went around for another stab

"Right to fighting then? My kind of girl." Jaune

The twos battle became akin to a dance as their thin blades met in quick succession.

While jaune was no slouch at fighting, this much was sure due to his fight with qrow and now with winter, he knew his limits. Winter was an atlas specialist, one of the best, and he had just spent a large amount of aura.

He had to end this, now.

Quickly Jaune backed off from the fight and pulled his flint lock pistol out, and pointed it at the still down Qrow. Who was struggling to get to his feet

This caused several close to the old bird in the audience to gasp, and the villains to smile. Would Ozpins prized spy finally die?

"You cheated." Winter said, annoyed "You broke the rules of engagement."

Jaune looked at her with a 'really?' Look and gestured to himself "Pirate."

Jaune began to get worried as the soldiers and huntsman began to rise from his earlier attack, and were all looking very pissed at him.

His worried expression went away however at the sound of engines closing in.

"Why is he relived? Those are mostly likely the authorities closing in to take him away." Ironwood asked

"Perhaps he knows something we don't." Ozpin said "he has shown to be quite crafty."

"Ladies! Gentlemen! It's been an honor, truly Vale's hospitality is legendary. But this is where I make my leave!"

"And where do you think your going?"winter asked "your backs To a cliff and your facing us."

Jaune continued to walk backwards closer and closer to the edge. "Ah it would seem so, wouldn't it?"

He then spun around and dived right off the cliff, leaving a very confused crowd

The audience was equally confused, what the hell was this man doing? Had he really just jumped off the cliff?

Their confusion was cut short by a ship floating into view, with jaune hanging onto the side and climbing on. The heat from the engines seemingly not effecting him.  The ship was a pitch black, and made of wood. It had black sails and a skull and cross bones flag, marking it as a pirate ship. But the wood, flags and statue at the front gave away what it really was.

"It can't be." Winter said as qrow stood up next to her "It's just a story...."

This was the cursed ship- the Black Pearl 

"So that's the Black pearl." Yang said, slightly in awe "it's terrifying."

"It definitely deserves the name the 'cursed ship' " Pyrrha said with a slight shiver "It looks like an undead ship."

Jaune climbed aboard the main part of the ship and was greeted by his crew, who were working on getting the ship out of vale now that they had their Captain.

"Remember this day always!" Jaune called out to his pursers. "As the day you almost caught, Captain, jaune, SPARROW!"

Jaune then made his way over to the wheel, taking it over from his first mate who he nodded at in thanks

He then flicked his compass open, and hummed to himself

"Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me."
