Logic dictates life

This is a long one, so buckle up. Pretty much several chapters combined  into one chapter

Ruby: so, what's next?

View, you guessed it, flew over to his bookshelf and grabbed a tape. Placing in and waiting for the audiences attention.

View: next we have Jaune as a scientist, a man of cold hard logic and fact.

View flew over to a door near one of the walls, and a beam of light projected out of him onto the wall. There the door opened with a bright beam of energy, making a a few in the audience have to shield their eyes.

Nora: oooh! This is exciting, we haven't had a new person in forever!

A few seconds later, a man stepped out of the light and into the theater.

The man was about 6 foot, wearing a grey Blaiser with a yellow and grey dress shirt underneath. His face is that of a wealthy man, with a perfectly groomed mustache and clean appearance. As soon as he steps through several gasps echo through the audience

Ironwood stood up and reached for his pistol, momentarily forgetting that it wasn't there.

Ironwood: Watts!

Watts turned to glare at the general, annoyed at the mere presence of the man who disgraced him.

Watts: general, how great to see you again.

The sarcasm of this statement was very clear to everyone else.

Winter was in a similar state to ironwood, some disbelief and anger briefly showing through her facade.

Winter: your supposed to be dead.

Watts shrugged

Watts: I am, yet here I stand.

Cinder was unhappy to see watts here, they had a constant rivalry for Salems favor, and watts always seemed to win.

Yang was very confused at the man in front of him, and the reactions his presence got from ironwood and winter.

Yang: ok, what the hell is this guy?

View: this is Arthur watts-

Watts scowled slightly

Watts: doctor Arthur watts, if your going to introduce me at least do it correctly.

View didn't miss a beat and continued

View: a disgraced atlas scientist who faked his own death and joined up with Salem, helping her for many years.

Ironwood was outraged

Ironwork: you joined Salem!

Watts glared again at his former boss

Watts: I did, my skills were wasted with you and your pathetic military.

Watts was pushed by a invisible force, moving him over to sit by Allies.

View: let the video begin!

The scene began in a house in the middle of atlas, the poorer district of it. Still the house was 3 stories tall, and was by no means a poor house.

Inside stood teams JNPR and RWBY, the 7 girls and one boy all standing around a large table in the center of what looked to be a meeting room.

Blake raised an eyebrow

Blake: seven girls? So that would mean Jaune isn't here, it's his sister again?

Nora gasped

Nora: unless, Jauney is a girl!

Ren face palmed

Ren: Nora no....

Sitting at the table was the legendary huntsman Qrow Brawen, sporting a drink as usual.

Summer looked disapprovingly at Qrow, his drinking was a habit he needed to break.

Next to him was a man in an atlas specialist outfit, with no sleeves and a red strip across his chest. This was clover ebi, leader of the atlas team of ace ops, and the "luckiest man alive"

Winter raised a brow

Winter: clover, why is he here?

Qrow grumbled slightly at the screen

Qrow: luckiest man alive my ass. Stupid luck semblance, stupid ace ops, stupid atlas bitches

On his right was winter schnee, sporting a very similar look to clover but with a blue stripe.

And finally next to the person at the head of the table, was general ironwood. Looking very disheveled, with an uncut beard and messy hair, along with bloodshot eyes.

Ozpin was very quickly worried at the sight of his normal unshakable friend, something major had to happen to make him look this way

Watts's smile only grew wider

At the very head of the table sat a boy, one who looked to be barley Ruby's age. He wore some farmers clothes.

It was a strange sight, with so many people of such power and experience, here sat a child at the head of the table.

What was even stranger was the child seemed to glow a dull green, and had a cane in his hand.

Goodwitchs eyes widened at the sight

Ozpin sighed

Ozpin: I knew this host body couldn't last forever

Weiss: why is he glowing, and why does he have ozpins cane?

(They know of ozpins resurrection from last chapter, but not how it works or what it looks like)

View: simple, that is ozpin. His body was killed, so his soul now inhabits this boys body.

Ozpins voice spoke from the boys

Ozpin: I know you are all wondering why I have gathered you all here today, I apologize for taking you away from your jobs of slowing Salems plans, but this is of utmost importance.

Many at the table now gave ozpins their complete attention, with even Qrow putting his flask away and listening.

Ozpin: we have always been fighting a losing battle, a battle against an enemy that could not die, and with powers far greater then any one of us. She has always been ahead in every race.

Yang: well that's depressing.

Watts chuckled

Watts: depressing and true! You are fighting against the strongest being in all of remnant! We have better science, magic, and manpower then you could ever dream of!

Ironwood scowled

Ironwood: don't be so sure watts, my military can tear apart any Grimm your mistress can muster

Watts cackled

Watts: your arrogance will be your downfall general.

He placed his cane on the table

Ozpin: when we thought our technology was better, she infected the CCTV, and the atlas military, turning them against us.

Ironwoods eyes widened and watts grin widened

Watts: don't you see? We have always had a plan

Weiss paled, she had seen along with many other the power of atlas Military. If that was turned against them, then the carnage would be unstoppable.

Ironwood, winter, and clover all visibly flinched at the reminder of their failure.

Ozpin continued

Ozpin: when we thought our magic was superior, they stolen the fall maiden from under our noses and turned one of their own into the fall maiden.

Cinder grinned and ozpin sighed

Ozpin: and when we thought we would have time on our side, they attacked and destroyed beacon and the city of vale.

That silenced the Audience real quick, how could this happen?

Ozpin: view, how?

View hummed

View: a combination of multiple factors really. Cinder stole the fall maiden powers, and killed your at the time current body. She then hyjaked the Vytal festival transmission and revealed the truth of someone being behind the Grimm, spreading fear. Then a combination of infected atlas tech, Grimm and white fang stormed and sacked vale and beacon.

Blake lowered her head in sadness at the mention of the white fang, No Mater what happen they were always the bad guys.

Ozpin: but, this is not the case, and never has been.

This got the table to do a double take, what could be mean by that? They had all seen or heard of the fall of beacon, how could Salem not be winning?

Watts and cinder were both in a similar state of disbelief

Watts: how could this old fool possibly believe that? You lost ozpin! Accept it!

Cinder just scowled

Cinder: empty words, from a pathetic man.

Ozpin: we have been ahead for years, ten years in fact, since one arc joined our ranks.

The group turned towards Julia arc, who was just as shocked as them

Ozpin chuckled

Ozpin: No, not that arc, one Jaune arc, twin brother of Julia arc.He has single handily put us in front of Salem, we now have the power to fight back.

Tai: from one person? That is impossible.

Ironwood nodded

Ironwood: agreed.

Ironwood raised an eyebrow, Cleary unconvinced

Ironwood: one man? Sorry opzin I have a hard time Believing that, especially a child.

Ozpin shot ironwood a look, and continued

Ozpin: I have brought you all here to meet him, and for him to properly prepare us for the coming fight.

Qrow: and where is he? Thought we were gonna meet him

A sound made the group, minus ozpin, jump.

Ozpin just smiled

Ozpin: that would be him now

They all turned to see a green vortex had appeared behind them, the vortex swirled with power and emitted a strange noise.

Mercury looked shocked at the screen

Mercury: watts, what the hell is that?

Watts was in a similar state of confusion

Watts: I have no idea

Then, a thumping noise came from the vortex, and a figure stepped out.

The figure was tall, being around 6-4 feet tall. He has a tuff of blond hair sitting on his head, and they was all the human features he had.

Where his face should be, was a single giant dark red eye, and purple metal which was attached to his face and Went to the back of his head.

His chest had a giant reflective glass piece at the center, with more of the strange purple metal coming out and going around to his back.

His right hand was normal, with a grey and black shirt sleeve on it.

Where His left hand should be was a giant cannon, with a chain attached to the back and into his head. The cannon was giant, easily the size of a small great sword.

His legs were covered in more purple metal, with them thumping loudly whenever he stepped.

Ozpin smiled slightly and gestured to the thing that had just walked out of the portal.

Ozpin: may I introduce you to, Jaune arc, or more commonly know as Shockwave.

The audience was sent into stunned silence at the sight of shockwave. this was not a man, this couldn't be a man. Nothing about him looked human, If anything he looked like a Grimm more then a human being.

Qrow put it into words the best

Qrow: what, the, fuck.

Shockwave observed the crowd before him, his unnerving singular red eye seeming to peer into each person soul. Then he spoke, with a cruel and emotionless voice.

Shockwave: I was expecting a more substantial force from you ozma, not some children who have the foolish dream of grandeur.

Goodwitch: he sounds so, inhuman, so dead.

Roman shivered slightly

Roman: that's about what I thought his voice would sound like.

He pointed his normal arm at team rwby and JNPR

Winter: you do know you are insulting your own sister and her friends? Do you not care for your family?

Shockwave seemed to be unmoved by winters statement

Shockwave: we share the same mother and father, I don't see why this demands special treatment for her.

Pyhrra: does he not understand what family is?

Winter continued on, ignoring shockwaves tone, or lack there of.

Winter: your family are those closest to you, they are the ones your meant to rely on when all else fails.

Shockwave moved his neck to put his full attention on winter, making his shiver

Shockwave: your statement is, illogical. The only thing any man or Fanaus can rely on is facts. Not some foolish bloodline bonds.

Ren: he's very well spoken, using many advanced forms of words even if they are not needed.

Weiss nodded

Weiss: he must have had quite the upbringing, or just loves to hear himself talk.

Julia lowered her head while her partner put a comforting hand on her shoulder. Nora glared at shockwaves for hurting her leaders feelings

Nora: hey! That's not a very nice thing to say to your sister!

Shockwave ignored her

Shockwave: I did not come to exchange pleasantries ozma, I have come because I was summoned. What do you require of me?

Ozpin grimaced slightly

Ozpin: the last time we were in contact, you told me project predacon was in full force, and almost completed.

Shockwave nodded

Shockwave: it was, and now is completed. All it requires is a field test.

Ironwood: project predaconn? That's a strange name

Ozpin smiled

Ozpin; we need your expertise now more then ever. we are currently losing shockwave, we need your inventions to gain the upper hand. Salem has Arthur watts on her side, and now all our equipment has been compromised.

Watts smiled

Watts: at least someone can recognize a threat when he sees one.

Mercury rolled his eyes

Mercury: as if. If your a threat then little red over there is a dragon Grimm.

"Little red" seemed offended by this

Ruby: hey!

Shockwave: even my most redumentory tools can outmatch any of Arthur watts pathetic inventions.

Watts scoffed

Watts: bold words, lets see if he can back it up.

Shockwave turned around and gestured to the green vortex, which was still glowing and wirling behind him.

Shockwave: I shall aide you in your battle, follow me to my person lab, where we can give your forces the capacity to defeat Salems.

Shockwave turned and began to walk back towards the portal, when he is stopped

Clover: how do we know that's even safe? Scratch that, what the hell even is that thing? Some sort of semblance?

Shockwave regarded the atlas specialist with his glowing eye

Shockwave: It is a rudimentary ground bridge, allowing transport to anywhere on remnant instantaneously, as long as the proper coordinates are provided.

Sun: rudimentary? How the hell is that rudimentary! This technology could make bulkheads completely obsolete! We could just travel wherever we wanted whenever we wanted! That's so sick!

Watts was in denial

Watts: preposterous, something that advanced is years, decades even away from our current technology.

Clover did not waver at Shockwaves gaze

Clover: and how do we know the second we step in we won't die?

Shockwave: it would be illogical to kill you now, with all the effort I have put into your cause.

Shockwave turned around and walked through the groundbridge, leaving ozpin's group standing shell shocked

Ozpin: well, I suppose we should follow him.

Qrow: No shit Oz

As they stepped through the portal, the first thing that caught their eyes were the hundreds of test tubes lining the lab.

Tubes filled with strange never seen before creatures floating in green liquid as far as the eye could see. Some were big, other small.

Julia: what the hell is this?

Shockwave: I see my latest experiment has caught your eyes, another simple process, if slightly more complex than the groundbridge.

Shockwave gestured to the tubes

Shockwave: every creature, no matter how old or how far deceased, have DNA. As long as some semblance of remains can be acquired, than the DNA strands can be as well.

He walked up to the closest tube, in it sat a deer like creature with an arched back and dead hollow eyes.

Shockwave: and with even a single strand of DNA, any life form can be recreated.

This revelation shocked the audience, could this actually be possible? To bring back long dead species with the use of a single bone?

Cinder: watts, write this down, just in case

Watts didn't object, even if cinder was ordering him to do it.

Ozpin: such power, in the hands of one mortal man.

Shockwave: this particular species is the wendigo, a deer-like creature with a particular thirst for human and faunes flesh. It was resurrected with a single antler shard.

A few in the group looked warily at ozpin and shockwave, ozpin seemed rather unfazed considering what he was just told.

Ozpin: can they be controlled?

Shockwave nodded

Shockwave: yes, by myself.

Roman eyes widened

Roman: he has control of all those long dead species? He has his own army in there!

Ironwood grinned

Ironwood: and If we are to believe him, an army for our side.

Shockwave: these subjects are irrelevant, there is only one who will meet our needs.

Ozpin: which is?

Shockwave walked down the aisles towards what looked to be a central control center

Shockwave: the real project predacon.

Ruby:There's more? What other weird dead species can there be? 

As shockwave walked, the group behind he began to talk

Yang: so vomit girl, has your bro always been like this?

Yang snorted

Yang: HA! vomit girl, some things never change.

Julia shook her head

Julia: he used to be just like me, we are twins after all. I can't even imagine what happened to turn him into this.

Shockwave stopped his stride at the base of the computer. He stepped up and began typing away with his hand.

Shockwave: the real project predacon could never be kept in the open, it was too volatile. It was only logical to hide it away until it was needed.

He turned back to the group

Shockwave: I assume you are all familiar with our creators, and their story?

The group nodded their heads

Shockwave: then you all know there were two, a younger and older brother. They came be through an unknown way, and created the world of remnant.

Summer raised an eyebrow

Summer: how is this relevant to project predacon or , whatever it's called?

View: you'll see.

Qrow yawned

Qrow: skip the lecture teach!

Shockwave ignored the drunk

Shockwave: the younger brother and the older then populated the world with mankind, made in their own image. Even after the first wipe of the human race, they were again created in the Gods image.

Ozpin: and what does this have to do with project predacon?

Shockwave turned and continued to type on his computer, as a giant hole appeared in the ground.

Pyyhra gulped

Pyyhra: whatever's in there, it's huge.

Before shockwave could continue with his tale, a groundbridge opened behind everyone. Shockwaves continued to type on his computer, either not noticing or not caring about the bridge.

Out of the bridge stepped cinder fall, wearing very tattered and revealing grey clothes. Her right eye was bandaged with a black cloth, and her right arm was replaced with a Grimm one.

Next stepped out mercury black, wearing his assassin outfit, his prosthetic legs now purple.

Emerald stepped out shortly after mercury, still wearing her outfit from the fall of beacon, with her scythes attached to her hips

After stepped out neo, wearing her suto fathers bowler cap and holding his cane. She glared at the group before her, more specifically ruby.

A giant man stepped out next, his was dark skinned wearing a large brown trench coat and brown combat pants. He growled at the site of opzin but stayed in place

Ozpin scowled

Ozpin: traitor, I should have known

Watts and cinder smiled, perhaps they had misread this shockwave. 

Roman: wait, why does Neo have my hat and cane?

View flew down to him

View: you died fighting ruby in the fall of beacon, a giant nevermore flew by a ate you while you were about to finish off ruby.

Neo quickly hugged Roman, who put a arm around neo.

Ozpin turned and looked murderously at Shockwave.

Ozpin: you betrayed us!?

Shockwave raised his cannon as it began to wirl dangerously

Shockwave: my research had reached its peak, you are now a liability. To put it simply headmaster, you require me, and I don't require you.

His cannon began to glow a dark purple

Shockwave: it was only logical.

cinder grinned

Cinder: this is the end of the line Ozpin, for Salem!

With that war cry cinder and her forces began to charge at ozpin

Qrow: scatter!

The group all dived in different directions as Shockwave trained his cannon on ozpin.

Cinder quickly engaged with winter and ironwood, who took her head on.

Cinder quickly summoned 8 blades of glass and spun them around her, blocking both ironwood and winter.

Ironwood stepped back and pulled his revolvers out, combining them into his powerful cannon.

Ruby: ooh! Super awesome weapon!

Ironwood smiled, he and winter together were a powerful duo. Maybe even powerful enough to defeat cinder, maybe.

He took aim and fired at cinder, who took her glass blades and blocked the incoming fire.

Winter jumped behind cinder using her glyphs, and sent herself flying at the fall maiden in a flurry of ice.

Cinder took her attention off ironwood and reached her Grimm arm out to choke the general. Momentarily stopping the fire at her back.

She took her 8 glass blades and blocked winters oncoming attack, but the attack shatter the blades and sent cinder slightly back.

Ironwood slammed his fist down onto cinders Grimm arm, sending it reeling in pain and flying back to its owner.

Weiss cheered

Weiss: that's right sister! Destroy her!

Ironwood and winter grinned at the display, it seemed they were beating the maiden back

Cinder frowned, but kept her cool. She would defeat these fools, no matter what. She knew she could, she had to.

Cinder growled and sent out a pulse of fire, sending both winter and ironwood back. She began to float in the air, as fire danced around her.

Cinder: DIE!

Cinder smirked and emerald cheered

Emerald: yeah! Destroy them cinder!

Qrow and clover both circled a strangly calm mercury, considering he was surrounded by
Strong hunters, he was calm.

Qrow: well kid, ready to lose?

Mercury grinned before his eyes began to glow

Mercury: I wouldn't bet on it, old man.

His form became blurry before he disappeared and reappeared right next to Qrow, sending a fast and powerful kick at the dark hunter.

Emerald: the hell was that? Mercury doesn't have a semblance!

Qrow barley blocked the kick with his scythe as his eyes widened. He thought this kid didn't have a semblance!

Mercury grinned

Mercury: surprised? Turns out your shockwave buddy can do a whole lot!

Mercury smiled at the sight of his semblance being returned to him, even if it was a different version of himself. It was still nice it see

Mercury blurred once again, and reaper Ed yb clover, sending a fast kick at his chest.

Clover was sent slightly flying, by his weapon caught mercury as he fell.

Clover grinned as his fishing pole grabbed mercury, and he pulled. Sending mercury flying towards him. Mercury stopped his fall towards clover with his gun boots, keeping him on his feet

Mercury: that was bullshit!

Clover: guess It's my lucky day!

Qrow grumbled

Qrow: stupid luck semblance

Mercury blurred again, and was now behind clover. He kicked at clovers leg, and fired several bullets from his boots into clovers back.

Yang growled

Yang: that's a stupid OP semblance.

Blake rolled her eyes

Blake: that's rich, coming from you and your "take more damage deal more damage" semblance.

Yang: touché

Clover was sent flying, with crow sliding and grabbing him before he could fall far.

The two polar opposites stood up, ready to face mercury

Mercury: well? Bring it on!

Emerald and neo stood facing team rwby, both the theifs grinning at the other.

Emeralds eyes glowed a bright purple, as did Neo's, and their semblances activated together.

Hundreds of clones of both neo and emerald appeared surrounding team rwby

Emerald grinned cheekily

Emerald: seems like mercury wasn't the only one who got a semblance upgrade!

Neo cheered silently

Yang: what the hell? Could they do this before?

Weiss summoned several Grimm borbusks projections

Weiss: definitely not!

The clones began to rush towards team rwby, who began to fight on all sides.

Ruby tore through the clones with her scythe, but when one got a lucky hit on her, she was surprised to actually feel the attack.

Ruby: guys! They are real, there attacks can hurt you!

Cinders eyes widened

Cinder: that's not an upgrade, that's a whole new semblance!

Yang: what! They can hurt us? I thought she just created illusions!

Weiss: it seems whatever shockwave did makes her be able to hurt us.

Blake expertly weaved through the mob of Neos and emeralds, slicing through them as she did.

Blake: but they defiantly aren't as skilled!

Weiss sent her projections into the crowd before launching herself into it

Weiss: well they never stop!

True to her word, even as they cut down ten  clones, twenty more came and took their place.

Yang flew through the crowd, her eyes and hair blazing

Yang: then we just keep fighting till we can't anymore! Team rwby never gives up!

Ruby jumped up into the air

Ruby: YEAH!

she quickly looked around and jumped back into her seat, covering her blushing face away from everyone, much to the amusement of Yang.

Hazel looked impassively at team JNPR, who stood ready for a fight in front of him

Hazel: more pawns of ozpin, I am sorry for what I will have to do.

He let his trench coat fall off, and took several lightning dust out and stabbed it into his back. He roared as the power of the dust coarsed through his veins, and lighting began to crackle around him

Nora was taken by surprise at that

Nora: holy shit! How can he do that?

Ozpin chimed in

Ozpin: his semblance removes all pain he feels, making it possible to inject raw dust into Himself.

Julia barely had time to raise her shield before a lighting infused punch slammed into her

She felt the watts course throughout her body, as her insides became charred and her aura worked desperately to combat it

She pushed Hazel away with a blast of aura

Julia: everyone, don't fight him at close range, any attack he hits will hurt you no matter where he hits you! Pyyhra Ren allay down cover fire! Nora!

Nora looked over at her team leader

Julia: Nora smash!

Nora launches herself at Hazel in glee as Pyyhra and Ren open fire with their weapons.

Hazel shrugs off the attacks and grabs Nora's leg, slamming her down onto the ground before unleashing serval lightning infused attacks onto the redheads stomach.

Rubys eyes widened in fear

Ruby: nora no!

Ren grinned at the screen, this would be fun

But instead of staying down, Nora jumped back up, her eyes glowing brightly and her hammer swinging

Nora: FULL VALKYRIE MODE!

She hit Hazel with all her might, sending him flying far into the lab.

Hazel stood back up and rolled his shoulders, getting servals audible pops from them. He then takes out the now Empty lightning dust and puts some fire dust in instead

Shockwave and Ozpin face eachother down, Shockwaves terrifying form towering over Opzins small human child one.

Shockwaves cannon arm fired, sending a purple beam of death at ozpin

Ozpin dived to the side, barely missing the purple blast which would have ended him.

Ruby: that weapon arm thing is so cool! I wonder if I can make my arm I weapon!

Tai, yang, summer, and Qrow all exchange looks. Silently agreeing to never let ruby do that

He barely has time to breathe before shockwave is upon him again.

He swings his cannon arm like a club, hitting ozpin like a truck. Then another beam was fired from shockwaves cannon, sending ozpin to the ground.

Before any of the fighting can continue they are all frozen in place as a blue field envelopes them all

Shockwave: that is enough pointless folly.

Shockwave steps away from the field and observes the trapped individuals

Cinder: Shockwave! Free us so we can end ozpin forces!

Shockwave's single eye landed on cinder

Shockwaves: No

Goodwitch: No? But why? I thought they were Allies?

Cinder glared at shockwave

Cinder: what do you mean no!?

Shockwave walked over to his computer and began to type again

Shockwave: I mean I shall not be letting you free from my time vortex, you shall wait there until I decided the time has come to release you.

Cinder growled

Cinder: traitor!

Shockwave: I am no traitor. I was and will never be on another's side, I have always been on my own side. The side of progress, the side of logic.

Neptune: what does that even mean? Is this guy in Insane?

Sun rolled his eyes

Sun: he's Cleary stupid fucking smart, seems he's just got a weird reason for doing what he does.

Shockwave stood up from his computer as a giant tube began to rise from the hole.

Shockwave: the two brothers of light and darkness created remnant and everything on it. They are our creators, and we were made from their image.

The tube rose higher

Shockwave: we have DNA, our genetic code that defines who were are and how we lead our life. And since we were all created in the brothers image, it it logical to assume they do as well.

Ozpins eyes narrowed

Ozpin: where is he going with this?

Shockwave: and as previously shown, I can create anything from a single strand of DNA.

And as the tube rose to full height, something impossible sat within.

There as a man, as tall as the tube itself. He had a pair of golden antlers sitting upon his head, and his entire body was just a plain slate of gold, not a feature to be seen.

Shockwave: I have created our creator.

He held his hands out to the frozen crowd he had gathered, as they all looked on in fear

Shockwave: May introduce you to the new god of light.

Wow this was long as shit, took forever to write but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

This was originally going to be a story, with Jaune as shockwave from transformers Prime. But I adapted it to fit this story and added something of an ending.

I also had an idea for it to just be Shockwave from transforms prime in rwby, but not as Jaune.

This may still be a story in the future, either as shockwave in rwby or as shockwave as Jaune
