Remove the blindfold

It was like a blindfold had been ripped of me, and I could finally see clearly for the first time in my life

———————

Ruby finally felt what it was like to feel your life flash before her eyes. It was a surreal moment, seeing the events of her life play for her like a movie. Her first Cookie, what little she remembered of her mother, training with uncle Qrow. It all flashed before her eyes as the dark figure of Malgus moved towqarrs her, weapon in hand, it primed to take her head clean off

Is this how it was going to end? All her hopes of becoming a huntress, and this is how it would end? She would never even graduate, never finish her first year?

But it seems ruby rose wasn't to die here.

As Malgus charged a beam of energy hit him, knocking his backwards momentarily as he raised his saber to stop the beam and was sent to one knee.

Ruby looked to see view firing a laser from his face, the beam radiating heat as it flew over the audience and at malgus.

Malgus seemed unaffected by the beam, as he slowly stood from his position on the ground, using one hand to block the attack and the other to do something they couldn't see.

"Quickly!" View commanded as he countinuer his assault "Into the saferoom!"

As he said that a door appeared in the walls of the theater, giving them a way away from malgus and his rage.

"You cannot put me back!" Malgus yelled over the sound of Views attack "I will no longer be your entertainment!"

Malgus thrusted his hand out at view, and electricity flew from his outstretched finger tips. The lightning hit view head on, sending the orb flying into a wall.

Malgus's eyes then met the audiences, who mostly looked on with fear.

View stayed down for only a moment however, as a burst of energy was released for the orb and hit malgus head on. The Sith raised his hand and used the force to shield himself, stopping the brunt of the attack.

"Go!" View yelled as he rose from the wall and faced malgus "your all no match for him!"

"Yes, run like the cowards you are!" Malgus mocked as he faced off with view "Your content to sit by and watch us, watch our struggles and deaths, but you can't fight for yourselves!"

View fired another beam from his eye at Malgus, who stopped the attack in place with the force. He then pushed the attack back at view, sending the orb down once again.

Those who realized what was happening began to run for the door, but their effort was in vain as collapsed into itself. Malgus using the force had crushed the door, removing their only escape.

Ozpin jumped down in front of Malgus, blocking him from the nearby beacon students.

"You will not harm them!" Ozpin demanded as he twirled his cane around "I won't let you."

Malgus just laughed as the beacon students ran to the corner of the theater, with the other members following suit quickly. Even the experienced fighters realized they were outmatched, especially without their weapons. They formed a small circle, with the students in the center and the teachers and huntsman on the outside.

The villains just simply sat by and watched, with Cinder and Salem being protection enough for them. They could enjoy the show, for as long as it went.

"You believe yourself fit to defeat me?" Malgus asked mockingly as he and ozpin began to circle each other "When your other could not?"

Ozpin grimaced slightly "I do not. But if I dont try then you will harm my students, and that is something I cannot allow."

"So be it, headmaster."

Malgus and Ozpin then charged each other, each fighter letting out a fierce war cry as they did. Magic cane met saber as they went blow for blow in a dance of death. They became a blur of red and green, and those watching quickly became entranced by it.

But as view rose again from the floor, he could see what no one else could. He could see that Ozpin was going to lose. It was subtle, but he could see Ozpin starting to slow, and Malgus only growing faster as he swelled with dark power.

The old wizard that was Ozpin was a powerful warrior, but Malgus was a Sith Lord. A being that could pull a airship from the sky with just his mind. Malgus was a unstoppable force, he would defeat ozpin, it was only a matter of time.

Salem could defeat Malgus, her immortality would make it a game of attrition that Malgus couldn't win. No matter how many times Malgus destroyed her, Salem would return again and again. Combined with the fall maiden cinder, they could put down malgus with minimal casualties.

But they wouldn't help, no matter what view did or promised, he knew they wouldn't. Salem was a stubborn person by design, it is a trait every version of her shares. She blames her Ex husband for every little thing that has happened to her, and would be more then happy to sit by and watch him suffer.

No other person in the audience is strong enough to battle a Sith, much less one of Malgus's caliber. Qrow, goodwitch and ironwood together would stand a chance, but it would be a minimal one at best.

There was one other, a person he had planned to add later. They would stand a better chance, with their incredibly powerful semblance could cut through aura and possibly bypass the siths saber.

But the white fang hero would cause more trouble then good, it wouldn't be worth it in the long run.

If they all jumped Malgus, they would have a chance. But this strategy would cause the death of so many in his audience, which brought view back to his main fear.

He could not lose his audience, not when they were so important, not when they had so much to see and learn. They needed help, but If view opened the floodgates there was no telling how many would come through.

But it was worth the risk

And so, View fired a beam into the ceiling, causing a huge explosion that gathered everyone's attention. Colors flew everywhere like a storm, and more explosion rocked the theater.

And the multiverse surged

——————

For a few moments nothing happened, the colors still flew around but nothing came from them, and malgus let out a loud cackle at the sight.

"Is this supposed to scare me? I have fought beings far above your power little orb, I have danced with death and stared down the Abyss! You are all ants beneath me!"

Malgus's speech was abruptly interrupted when one of the flying colors slammed into the ground in front of him, before it slowly began to take shape. At first it resembled nothing they knew of, just a formed color, but then it took the shape of something vaguely humanoid.

A hulking black mass of armor, with a helmet that resembled a crown and a huge mace, with a glowing yellow ring sitting on one of his clawed fingers. The light had formed a very familiar figure.

Sauron

Malgus reacted quickly and swung his blade to decapitate the thing in armor in front of him, but his red blade was met with Sauron's hulking mace.

"Puny imp. You are beneath me." Sauron said, his raspy voice booming throughout the theater and sending several shivers down peoples spines. "Bow to your master!"

"You will not look down at me!" Malgus yelled back "I will bring you to your knees and show you who the true master is!"

Yang winced at that one "cmon guys! Phrasing!"

"Yang!" Her father hissed out

"What?"

As the two began to swing at each other, another light landed near them, it once again stayed formless for a moment before taking another humanoid form.

Dark robes, blue eyes and a equally blue glowing blade, and a very confused look on his face. The hero with no fear had just arrived, Anakin Skywalker had just joined the battle.

Malgus pushed away from Sauron upon seeing the familiar weapon, and glared in the direction of anakin. "Jedi!" He roared in rage "You shall fall before my blade!"

Malgus lunged with a yell, and his blade met Anakins with a crash.

"Woah there!" Anakin exclaimed as he held back Malgus's strike "Isn't it polite to ask someone's name before stabbing them?"

"Do you really want your last words to be so pathetic Jedi?" Malgus taunted

"These won't be my last words, though they might be yours!"

Sauron glanced at the two ancient foes fighting for a moment, contemplating something before taking a few strides towards them, clearly about to intervene.

That was until another splash of color fell in between the two parties.

Large and robotic, this new figure certainly stood out from the rest. The thing vaguely looked human, with long and thin limbs that seemed to have glass on parts of it. A reflective visor for a face, with a strangely shaped chest.

Soundwave, The silent spymaster, had arrived.

"Ok what the FUCK!" Roman yelled as the robot slammed Sauron with one of his long metallic limbs "Who the hell are these guys? Where are they coming from?"

The rest of the audience was in a similar state of confusion as they all inched slowly away from the growing battle. More and more splashes of color fell and more and more things came into the theater.

"This is the true scope of the multiverse." View said calmly as he worked to repair the door to the saferoom "thousands of versions of Jaune arc all flowing freely, all allowed to come into this theater to fight."

"And what happens when they all kill each other?" Qrow asked "They gonna turn on us?"

"You misunderstand. They will never stop fighting if they are left be, because every time one falls another would take his place. The multiverse is infinite afterall."

"So then how is this going to end? Are they just going to fight forever?" Blake asked

"That also means we'd be stuck here forever, that'd suck." Yang added

View hummed, thinking for a moment before responding "You would be stuck here is nothing were to be done, fortunately I am working on a solution as we speak."

"Then what do we do while we wait?" Mercury asked as he sat on the floor

"Watch, I suppose. It is quite rare to see this many people from multiple multiverses converge in one location, it will be educational for you." View answered as he began to work on something, his small frame glowing blue

Splashes after splashes of color continued to fall as different versions of Jaune Arc came to the theater to fight. Some seemed to recognize each other, most did not, but fought nevertheless.

Lightsabers met broadswords, guns met arrows in mid air, Spells clashed against oneanother in brilliant shows of light, it was truly chaos. Some seemed to posses Aura and semblances, evident by the glows that surrounded them, some did not, with attacks that wouldn't faze a hunter piercing through them.

The chaos continued for awhile, longer then any of the audience cared to count, but it all came abruptly to an end when someone completely different arrived.

He was gargantuan, a giant among giants, and for some reason he was completely blue. The being was humanoid, and wearing nothing but a pair of boxers, revealing his toned body that even made Yang blush a bit. He stood and stared at the chaos that ensued around him, and then he spoke.

His voice shook the theater, and gathered the many versions of Jaunes attention. "This quarrel is meaningless, just like all of our existences."

"By the maker." View exclaimed, his normally robotic voice sounding very taken aback "It's Dr Manhattan...."

The Jaunes still stayed entranced by the giant blue man, even those who were considered Gods in their universe's listened when he spoke, his strangely monotone voice carrying throughout the theater. "Life, is a highly overrated phenomenon."

Dr Manhattan raised his arm as it began to glow with untold power, and view only had a moment to put up a shield made from blue energy before the attack came.

Each of the Jaunes began to glow a bright blue, the hue enveloping their whole body and casting the audience in a harsh light. Then like clockwork, those with the capacity to began to scream. The audience bore witness to those they once thought invincible fall to the ground in agony as they held their heads, screaming until their lungs gave out, screams of complete and utter pain.

Some were able to stand and retain some dignity throughout the ordeal, such as Sauron and malgus who merely took a knee and gave out the occasional grunts of pain, but even they could do nothing as Dr Manhattan began to pick them off one by one.

Soon the Jaunes began to just burst on the spot, like a water balloon that was overfilled. Blood, guts and bones flew in every direction, soaking the shield that protected the audience and changing the once bright blue to a sickening red.

Soon the only one who remained in the once heavily populated battlefield was Dr Manhattan, his lifeless blue eyes and impassive expression soon locking onto the shield and the audience within.

"You who watch our plight, I must ask, what is your purpose?" Dr Manhattan asked, his voice brimming with curiosity "Do you perhaps find our stories entertaining?"

"To learn." View answered as he lowered the shield, much to the audiences protest "I seek to teach those who do not understand to full scale of the world around them. I also seek to show them your mistakes, so that they will not be repeated."

Dr Manhattan seemed to ponder those words for a few moments, his brow furrowed and eyes narrowed "I ask again, for what purpose?"

View flew right up to Dr manhattans face "To prevent the end, the end of it all."

Dr Manhattan nodded before looking up at the still flashing colors of the multiverse above "You must know I will not go willingly back, after all once you see outside the white box, it is all you crave."

View nodded "I do know that, that is why you will Have to be forced."

Before the giant blue man could respond a giant splash of color fell Behind him, gaining the man's attention aswell as the audiences.

It swirled with power and a promise of power and pain, it's colors were a harsh green and black and it didn't take a form for a few moments, allowing view to speak.

"While your power may seem limitless Dr Manhattan and comparable to a God, you are still far from one. You have gazed into certain universes but you haven't truly been immersed into one, you haven't seen the darkest the multiverse has to offer." View said as he flew back to the audience and shielded them oncemore, ignoring the several questioning glances.

Dr Manhattan just stayed in his place, keeping his gaze on the swirling color, which began to take a shape.

"You have overcome each of your opponents with strength, but you now face a a opponent that cannot be beaten. I have the privilege of presenting you with, the embodiment of Chaos itself!"

The color slowly took its shape

"Azathoth, the outer God!"

Then finally the color took its form, the terrifying lovecraftaian God Azathtoh, the colors receded to show!.....

A duck

Just a duck 🦆

Not even a big duck, a small white duck with a yellow beak, it looked up to Dr Manhattan and tilted its head.

"Oh your fucking joking." Mercury exclaimed, saying what everyone was clearly thinking.

"This is the embodiment of Chaos? An outer God?" Dr Manhattan asked

"Azathoth has no true form, he is different for everyone who sees him." View explained "it seems he has chosen this form."

"A duck, a fucking duck!" Mercury again yelled out, completely baffled

Dr Manhattan slowly made himself smaller until he was the size of a human, albeit a large one. He got on one knee and met the Ducks eyes, still very confused.

Suddenly the black of the ducks eyes were replaced by a terrifying and all consuming red that shined with the promise of death and chaos. Pure insanity and chaos radiated from the small beings eyes, and those aspects slowly ebbed into Dr Manhattans very being.

The Dr started into the eyes of a being that had existed long before anything else had, before time , before space, even before the void this creature had existed. Dr Manhattan could feel the power radiating off the small animal, like a tidel wave about to crash onto him or a black hole sucking him in.

Dr Manhattan raised his hand to his own head, as it glowed with power. His eyes swelled with fear, an emotion he had thought himself above ever since his transformation.

Then the duck spoke

It's small mouth opened slightly and a horrible noise emitted from it, causing everyone minus Dr Manhattan and View to cover their ears in pain. It spoke 5 words, words that shook those that heard it to their very core.

It was a whisper that was as loud as silence, and with a voice that spoke with an old groan of darkness.  "Old Gods dream no more."

Then with a flash of Dark light and a scream of pure terror and pain, Dr Manhattan was gone, leaving only a pile of blue goop where he had once stood.

The duck then turned its small head to the terrified audience, it's eyes having returned to the normal black for a duck. It stood there for a few Moments before a flash of dark light occurred again, and the duck was gone, leaving the audience huddled in the corner of a now empty theater.

View sighed and flew to the center of the room, preparing the screen and rearranging the seats.

"We now return to our regularly scheduled program!"
