Finally married
''You may now kiss the bride.''
Rosalina, who was standing right next to me, dressed in a beautiful white dress and held a bouqet of small piranha plants, smiled softly and immediately jumped into my arms and we kissed each other passionately. Everyone cheered happily while some of them had tears streaming from their eyes, Shawn was probably the biggest crybaby in the whole church. I was so happy.
We both walked down the isle with everyone else following us. But as soon as we got outside we saw someone that looked like they had been eagerly waiting for us. Everybody gasped as soon as they saw who it was.
''So, where was MY invitation?''
In front of us there was the so called "king" himself; Bowser, with his arms crossed. Dressed in a fancy white suit with his hair combed to the side. He was looking really devious, and so were his kids by his side, also dressed very fancy.
I stepped in front of Rosalina protectively and stared at Bowser angrily. ''You were not invited.'' I said.
''I thought that royalty was a blessing to have at a wedding.'' He chuckled. ''And besides, aren't I your old friend? My partner in CRIME?''
Only hearing Bowser say that made me get very frustrated, but Rosalina calmly stepped forward and took out her wand with her right hand while still holding the three piranha plants in her other hand. ''Dear king Bowser, it is really innapropriate to disturbe someone's wedding. Especially one that you yourself aren't invited to. If you would kindly leave us be then it would be better for all of us.''
Of course, Bowser would not stop if you just simply asked him to. ''Sorry princess, but I cannot let you have a wedding without me on the guest list. So why don't you just put away that wand, eh?''
Rosalina made a quick movement with her wand and Bowser started to float a few feet above the ground. ''H-Hey! Stop that! You can't do that to a king!''
''I'm sorry, dear Bowser. But I want to enjoy my wedding with my new husband without any disturbances. And if that means that I have to force you to get out of here then so be it.''
She made the king go around in a couple of loops before he got thrown into the air towards world 8's dark sky. The koopalings were standing still, their legs were shaking. But still they tried to ruin our wedding, they ran towards us but quickly got stopped by Rosalina's powers. She did the same to them as she did with Bowser and we were left to finally go back to our celebration after the wedding.
The cake was cut, the guests were having fun. Everything was going nice and dandy. I could for once relax for a moment without thinking of a crime that needed to be solved. Although I was kind of nervous that something would happen. You never really know, and Bowser had already tried to crash everything once, what could come next? King Boo?
''Honey, are you sure that you're having fun?'' Rosalina asked as she put her hand gently on my knee.
''I'm fine, I just... got a strange feeling, that's all.'' I answered.
''You don't have to worry about anything.'' She smiled. ''If anything happens, I'll just use my magic to make sure that this day won't be ruined.''
''Well, that's one of the problems I have. I don't want you to act as a bodyguard or anything today. I want you to just be relaxed, this is OUR day.''
She leaned her head on my shoulder. ''I appreciate that you care about me but you don't have to worry, I like using my magic. And it isn't that tiring, I just want this day to be perfect for the both of us.''
''Alright, but if you feel tired just let me know.''
She chuckled. ''Promise.''
Luckily, the rest of the evening went fine. No assaults or anything. We went home when it was almost midnight and as soon as we came into our house we could breathe out. Partying could be very tiring too.
Chompy barked happily and cuddled with us. I changed from my dark purple tuxedo into my sleeping T-shirt, Rosalina did the same.
''I'm so tired.'' She groaned and went to bed. I followed her close behind and we both laid down in our bed under the sheets. I snuggled up to her and held my arms around her stomach. ''I can't believe it.'' She said softly while slowly drifting off to sleep. ''We're finally married.''
I felt joy going through my entire body. But I didn't have any energy left to speak, so I just let out a small hum in agreement while clutching her tighter in my arms.
A sweet moment indeed. I didn't want to write about the whole wedding procedure since I often think it's quite boring (I don't like weddings), and I honestly don't really know how they're done (and I'm too lazy to do research about it, I would probably get something wrong anyway). Whatever, now Waluigi and Rosalina are FINALLY married, and I'm so happy!
