You groaned as noise somewhere in the house began to wake you up. You slowly opened your eyes and blinked for a moment.

You had been staying on the couch in favor of Maria staying in your room while Elizabeth and Braun stayed in your sister's old room.

Totoro: <Meow?>

You looked at the cat for a moment before you petted him.

Y/N: Hey, bud.

You closed your eyes and tried to fall back to sleep. Totoro smacked your face which caused your eyes to shoot open.

You sat up, which caused your blanket to fall off reveling your topless form, and looked around.

Dad: Look who's finally awake. We have guests.

You looked behind you and found your dad sitting at the table with the girls, all of who had cups of coffee in front of them, and Jinx, who had the Guinea Pigs sitting in front of her.

You blinked once, twice, three times before you shot up to your feet.

Y/N: What are you doing here?!

You hurried over to the table but noticed that the girls were staring at you. You stopped and looked down to see that you weren't wearing a shirt. Also, your hair was a bit messy since you just woke up.

Jinx: We came by to see how you were doing. And totally not because your job is, like, a million times harder than you make it look.

Dad: Have a seat. I made coffee.

You looked at the girls.

Y/N: Sure. Uh, just let me go get changed.

Eve: Oh, no need to put a shirt on for us. We're all friends here.

Akali: Yeah. Plus, it's not like we haven't seen it before.

You looked at the two as they drank their coffee while staring at your bare body.

Y/N: Yeah, but I have a niece.

Ahri: They headed into town for a bit. Maria looked so cute in her little boots.

She must be talking about the pink ones Braun bought her when you went to town together. You just shrugged and sat down next to Jinx and your dad.

Y/N: So, why are you girls here? You have a tour to finish.

Kai'sa: We spoke to Jayce who agreed to push some dates back. It's only two more shows but he said that we deserved a break.

Ahri: Plus, we were getting nothing without you.

You looked at Jinx who refused to look you in the eye as she silently drank her coffee.

Totoro: <Meow>

Y/N: Did she now?

Jinx pointed at the cat.

Jinx: Shut it, fur ball!

Totoro stuck his tounge out at her and hopped in your shoulder. He purred as he laid down.

Dad: He really likes you. Figures. Your mom was always good with animals.

You smiled a bit.

Y/N: That's true, isn't it? I remembered when she managed to tame that horse Buck. Damn thing didn't let anyone ride it except for her.

Dad: And she won the barrel racing event five years in a row.

Akali: Barrel racing? I think I saw that on TV once. Did you guys do rodeo stuff a lot?

Ahri: Did they.....yeah! Y/N was the reigning champion for bull riding seven years in a row!

Jinx: And the only reason it wasn't more was because he refuses to enter when he turned 17.

You blushed as you rubbed the back of your neck.

Kai'sa: Wow. Did his mom ride often?

Your father nodded.

Dad: If it wasn't that, she was painting.

He nodded to something behind the girls and they turned to look at it. It was one of your mom's paintings. It was of the town as the sun set in the background.

But what caught Eve's eye was the signature on the bottom.

Eve: Maria L/N.......oh my God.

Kai'sa: Wait. I know that name! Why haven't I pieced it together before?!

The two looked back at you.

Eve: Your mother was Maria L/N?! One of the greatest painters of our time?!

Kai'sa: Her paintings are the stuff of legends! Is it true she only painted in upwards strokes?

You and your dad looked at each other then back at the girls.

Y/N: I never told you?

Eve/Kai'sa: NO!

Y/N: M-My bad.

Your dad just chuckled before he rubbed his chin.

Dad: Yep. She loved painting the world around her. She's been like that ever since I met her.

Ahri: Aww. I love the story about how you two met.

Your dad smiled.

Dad: Well, it was just before I graduated when this girl came to town. Really hippie vibe to her. I was a senior but she didn't even go to school. She drifted from place to place. Always had. Anyway, one day I'm at the store and I happen to run into her. We hit it off, and we started to spend more time together. Eventually, it came time for me to leave.

Akali: Where did you go?

Dad: To war. This was back when Ionia had an army. I joined and fought for four long years. And the whole time, almost every single week, I would get a letter from her. And inside, was always a sketch.

He pulled out his wallet and dug around before he pulled out a piece of paper.

Dad: I almost died one day. And that's when I got this one.

He slid the letter over and the girls looked at the drawing. It was a fully shaded man riding a horse.

Dad: I've kept that with me ever since. And when I got back, I asked her to marry me.

Eve: So romance runs in the family. Good to know.

Your dad leaned over to you as the girls read the letter.

Dad: So, uh, what's the deal with them?

You sighed.

Y/N: They, um, they all love me.

Dad: Oh. Good job.

He nodded and gave you a thumbs up before he sat up.

Kai'sa: Wow. I never knew any of this. I mean, I knew you guys were from the country, but I didn't think it was like this.

Eve: That explains that Ionian country accent you got sometimes.

Dad: That would be from me. His mother was actually from the Freljord.

Akali: Oh! That actually makes sense.

Everyone looked at her.

Ahri: How?

Akali: Well, people from the Freljord have very strong values and beliefs. Y/N does that thing where he won't lie about things, but he also won't tell us unless we bring it up.

Dad: He always did have a habit of doing that.

You just sighed.

Y/N: Whatever. Hey, I'm gonna set that post today. After that....

Dad: Go ahead. I'll keep your friends company.

You smirked.

Y/N: Actually, shy don't you show them the Ionia way of life?

Ahri, Jinx, and your dad all smiled evilly while the other three started to get scared.

Dad: Now we just need to move these barrels of hay over to the stables for the horses.

He leaned down and picked up two barrels before he walked away. Akali smiled and tried to do the same, but she wasn't expecting them to be as heavy as they were.

Akali: Oh, god.

Kai'sa did the same but yelped when one of the pieces of hay poked her.

Kai'sa: How do people sit on these?!

Ahri: It's simple. You just take the bucket, and pour it into the tub.

Eve looked at the bucket of God knows what and then back at the pigs who were just lounging around. Ahri got to work with pouring her stuff into the tub while Eve stood there.

Eventually, she stepped forward and pour the bucket. Immediately, the Pigs got up and raced towards it which made Eve step back. However, she was not used to wearing boots and fell backwards into the mud.

Ahri: Oh no.

Eve: What. The. HELL?!

Jinx was driving the tractor across the fileds while your dad was showing Akali and Kai'sa how he branded the cattle.

Dad: So, things have changed since I grew up. People have trackers and stuff now. And we have those, but that don't stop our cows from wondering past the fences and into open land.

Kai'sa: Is that why Y/N is fixing a post?

Dad: Part of the reason. So, here at the L/N Ranch, we do what I call the double method.

The girls watched as he lifted the cow's ear.

Dad: In this ear is the tracker.

He then walked over to where he had a metal rod sitting in a fire pit.

Dad: And this is the brand.

He picked up the stick and walked over to the cow. The girls watched as he stuck the brand onto the cow's behind in horror.

Akali: Uh...

Kai'sa: Poor cow.

Cow: <MOOOO!>

You finished setting the post as Ahri and Eve made their way to you. You got up and looked at the hole that you had dug. In it was some cement to keep the post in place as well as the post itself.

You turned around and looked at the cow's that had gathered.

Y/N: Now, listen. This is my post. And if any of you touch my post while it's still setting....

You pointed at the group before you pointed at the calf.

Y/N: I'mma eat that one!

Calf: <Moo?>

Ahri: I forgot how good you look in flannel.

You looked over to the girls but found your attention on Eve.

Y/N: Rough morning?

Eve didn't say anything. But she did have a bunch of mud in her shirt and even some of her jeans.

Thank God Elizabeth had some clothes to spare.

Ahri: So, how's everything going?

You took your gloves off and nodded.

Y/N: Good. The post is set, now I'm just waiting for the cement to dry so I can cover the hole. After that, I gotta go and fix a hole in the barn. Shouldn't take too long. Oh, and I gotta run into town to get some more feed.

Calf: <Moo>

You all looked to see the calf walking towards the post.

Y/N: <Hey! Back off!>

The calf looked at you and walked away.

Eve: Was that French?

Y/N: Yeah. Uh, my dad bought some of the cattle from a French dude and sometimes they only respond to French.

Ahri: Any respond to Korean?

You shook your head.

Jinx was herding some of the sheep while your dad showed Akali and Kai'sa how he tended to a chicken.

Dad: This one is very simple. First, you get the chicken.

He lifted the chicken up by its leg.

Dad: Next, you set the chicken down.

He put it into a cage like object which left its head sticking out of the side. Below it was a tray.

Dad: Then you behead the fucker.

He brought the ax down which beheaded the chicken.

Kai'sa: Oh my God!

Akai: Woah.

Your dad opened the cage and the chicken began to go crazy. The two girls hugged each other as they screamed.

Totoro watched as the Guinea Pigs, dressed in overalls, stabbed a stray pike of hay with small pitchforks.

Y/N: Is it tied good?

Ahri poped her head out from the loft above.

Ahri: Yep!

You nodded and grabbed the rope. Eve watched as you began to pull on it which brought the piece of old machinery off the loft. Ahri then pushed it off so that you could set it down on the ground properly.

You were in the barn just trying to put the heavier things on the ground while everything else stayed up top.

Eve: So, a barn loft. Bet you had some fun up there, huh?

You looked at her.

Fun fact: That's where you and Ahri shared your first kiss.

Y/N: If you mean that's where I got laid, then no.

Eve: Really? You didn't have women flocking to you?

You shook your head as you let go of the rope.

Y/N: I was what you might call an outcast, growing up. Not a lot of kids at school liked me. That's why I only had a few.

Eve found that hard to believe. Especially after knowing you for nearly two years now.

Y/N: I'm sure my dad would love to show you pictures of me growing up. Hell, Ahri's grandma had a bunch of photos of us as kids. God rest her soul.

After her grandmother passed away, Ahri kept the old house. That's where the girls will be staying, actually.

Eve: Hm.

Ahri: Alright, that's everything.

You smiled as you gave her a high-five.

Y/N: Welp, all that's left is getting feed.

Eve: I thought you had a post to set.

Y/N: MY POST!

You broke out into a spint as the two watched you.

You had your feet kicked up as you sat on the couch. Your dad was in his chair with a cup of tea while the girls were changing upstairs.

Jinx was the first one down.

Jinx: Dude, Kali and Kai'sa are scared for life.

Dad: Good. Builds character.

Jinx sat next to you and you both fist bumped.

Jinx: I forgot how good it felt to do some actual work. Sitting on our asses managing them made us lazy.

Y/N: Tell me about it. But the post is set, so, that's good.

Your dad smiled.

Dad: They're very beautiful girls. But, maybe farm work ain't for them.

You and Jinx both shook your heads. Ahri came down the stairs and sat next to you.

Ahri: I can't believe I'm saying this, but I missed working around the ranch.

Y/N: You always did have a knack for it.

Ahri: I'm gonna buy a horse when I get back.

You wondered how she was going to keep a horse at the house, but you suddenly realized something.

Now that the album was done and the tour was nearly over, you had no reason to live there anymore.

And it seemed like you weren't the only one.

Ahri: Wait.

Jinx: Woah. We....woah.

Dad: What's with the long faces?

Y/N: We won't be living together anymore after the tour.

Your dad seemed confused.

You slowly sat back and rubbed your chin.

Ahri: I mean, everyone has their own things to do. Kai'sa needs to get back to her studio, Eve has to finish her projects, and Akali is still 19.

Dad: She's 19? Thought she was 16 or something.

Y/N: We'll need to split up for a while.

You took a deep breath before you leaned your head back. Everyone has a life outside of KDA.

Totoro jumped up and sat on Ahri's lap as she petted him.

Dad: Well, sometimes that's just how things go.

You looked at him as he smiled.

Dad: People go their separate ways. But what matters is, whether or not the love is still there.

You slowly looked down and thought about it.

Y/N: Yeah. You're right.

Eventually, everyone made it downstairs. Over dinner, you all joked and laughed with each other. Akali and Kai'sa told you about the horrors they had to witness while Maria told Jinx about her day.

Everyone smiled.

By the end of the week, you were on a plane to finish out the tour. In the days that followed, things just blurred together.

But one thing stuck out to you.

You haven't had a flashback since you were home.

You walked into the dressing room, 5 days later, and looked at the girls as they sat around in their outfits. Jinx nudged you and you sighed.

Y/N: Alright. Gather round.

Everyone got up and walked over to you.

Y/N: So.....last show.

Akali: Yep. Kinda crazy, huh?

Eve: It just means this has to be our best one yet. Let's go out with a bang.

Kai'sa: Let's give them one for the road, ladies.

Ahri: I just want to say, I'm so proud of your girls.

You and Jinx looked at each other and she nodded.

Y/N: Actually, I wanted to give you all something.

Everyone looked at you confused.

Y/N: Since we won't be living together after this, I wanted you all to have something so that me and Jinx will always be there.

Jinx set the large bag down and pulled two things out. They were plushies, of you and Jinx.

Ahri: Aw! They're so cute!

She grabbed them and hugged them to feel how soft they were. The girls all laughed at the bizarre present while you and Jinx smiled off to the side.

Akali: I get a stuff toy of my favorite manager, and Y/N?!

She smiled and hugged you.

Akali: Thank you!

You hugged her back. Everyone got their own plushies before you cleared your throat.

Y/N: So, this is the last speech I got for you all before you get on stage.

They all looked at you.

Y/N: You girls did something amazing. I mean, you're still on top of the charts even now. You have fans from all over, and you all deserve every ounce of success.

Kai'sa: I'm gonna cry.

Y/N: You all....are incredible. We hit some bumps but we never slowed down. I never managed before in my life, so I got lucky by getting such an amazing group of very talented and beautiful women. I see nothing but success in your futures. And I can't wait to see what you all do next.

Ahri looked at you with tears before she stepped forward and hugged you. Everyone else followed suit until it was one large group hug. Even though you couldn't return the gesture, you smiled.

Y/N: Thank you, girls. For giving me a family.

A the crowd outside cheered for KDA, you all hugged. You cried. And your smiled.

The future had a lot of things just waiting to be done. But for now, you were okay with this.

Crowd: KDA! KDA! KDA!

Y/N: Go give them a night to remember.

The girls all nodded and ran on stage. You and Jinx stood there, Totoro on your shoulder, and you watched.

Jinx: So, what happens now?

You looked at her before you turned back to the stage.

Y/N: Honestly, bud, who knows?

As the lights turned in and the music started, you smiled.

Guess things aren't so bad after all, huh?
