You cracked your knuckles which made Jinx wince.

Jinx: Dude. Stop.

You looked her dead in the eyes, and did it again. She threw her empty water bottle at you but you smacked it away which caused it to hit Mini Eve. She turned to you and squeaked angerly.

Ahri: Oh, poor baby.

She picked the Guinea Pig up and held it carefully as it glared at you.

It was just a water bottle.

You were all on the bus on your way to the next stop of the tour. It had been nearly a week since Jinx laid into the girls, but things were relatively back to normal.

Granted, the girls were now slightly more distant towards you. But, in a good way. They weren't trying to get in your pants anymore. Or, at least it didn't seem like it.

You looked over at the whiteboard Jinx had installed on the bus. And by installed I mean she just used a bunch of duct tape.

Next stop was Demacia City. It had been ages since you were last there.

Akali: So, Mr. Y/N, Ms. Jinx, you guys have been to Demacia City before, right. During the attack?

You and Jinx looked up at her in surpise. How did she know about that?

Akali must have noticed her slip because she quickly went silent while the others pretended not to hear. They never did tell you that Jayce told them about some of the stuff you did.

Y/N: Yeah. How did you...

Kai'sa Oh, look! We're here!

You looked out the window and sure enough, you were now in Demacia City. The large city was the capital of Demacia itself. The royal family lived here. King Jarvan should be in town, speaking of which.

He was just a kid when you last saw him.

Jinx: You know, Jayce said he had a surpise for us. Didn't say what it was, though.

Y/N: After the tour these girls have had, I say a surpise is welcomed. A good one, I hope.

Jinx just shrugged. The bus drove through the city and you all peeked out the windows. Talk about a warm welcome.

Almost everyone who saw the bus began to cheer as it drove by. Looks like KDA's fan base was large in Demacia City.

Totoro: <Meow>

Y/N: No, the people here are a lot more calm than the people we've met so far. They actually like faunas here.

Ahri: They do?

You nodded.

Y/N: And since it's you, people will definitely love you.

Jinx: As long as we don't end up in a bar brawl, I'm good.

The bus stopped in front of a hotel. However, you had no idea which one it was. Jayce set everything up for Demacia City.

However, when you all stepped off the bus, you realized why.

Eve: This is the Royal Suites.

Kai'sa: Only the guest of the royal family get to stay here. It's the most exclusive hotel in the world!

Akali: Time to fuck it up!

She started to run inside, but you grabbed her hood and lifted her off the ground. She looked at you. She suddenly remembered how strong you actually were. How easy it was for you to lift her up and.....yeah.

Y/N: We're not fucking anything up here. We're guests. Mind your manners, Kali.

You set her back down and she nodded.

Akali: Yes, sir.

You picked up your bag as Totoro sat on your shoulder. This place was nice. Very nice. Designed after Inns in Japan and Ionia. You almost felt a sense of nostalgia here. As did Ahri.

Ahri: Ah! Y/N, look! They have Cherry trees! And the inside kinda looks like those old cabins we used to spend spring break in!

While Ahri was looking around like an excited child, the other girls looked around in awe and wonder. So, also like children.

Jinx: Damn. They haven't changed it at all since we were here.

Y/N: I know. It's kinda, nice. But also a little haunting.

Jinx looked to see that you seemed to be conflicted. That was fair. The last time you were here, Rell was alive. Actually, this was where you stayed with her. On top of that, the last mission you had in Demacia was when the Attack happened.

Jinx: You alright?

You nodded.

Y/N: Yeah. Hey, would you want to go to the memorial with me later on? Pay our respects?

Jinx: Sure.

Eve: You wouldn't mind if we tagged along as well, would you?

You and Jinx noticed the girls standing there. You just smiled.

Y/N: Course you can. We'll make a day out of it. Once we unpack.

You'll be staying in the city for three days. In the third day, the girls will have a show. For now, however, you might as well enjoy the time off.

You were glad that it was now spring. As much as you liked winter, you didn't like the cold. Though you did still wear a light jacket since it was still a bit nippy.

The Grand Plaza was always a place you could find people. However, it seemed especially busy today. The girls were all in disguises so no one really paid you any mind. At least, you thought so.

Totoro was still chilling on your shoulder as you and Jinx walked towards the memorial. It was a large, beautifully crafted stone wall. Carved unti it was the names of everyone who had their life taken during the attack.

You and Jinx reached the wall and looked at it. At it's feet were pictures and flowers, and gifts.

Ezreal: Beautiful, ain't it?

You looked at your partner as he looked around the plaza in awe. It was still weird to see him in civilian clothing. Hell, it felt weird wearing civilian clothing. Much more comfortable.

You walked with him through the crowd of people gathered to witness the crowning of the the new king. Some kid that was barely of age.

The gun on your belt was covered for the most part by the hoodie you wore. The others were around the area as well, but they were all blending in.

The plan was a simple one. Keep a low profile. Make sure no one kills the king to be.

You and Ezreal found a place to watch the ceremony among the crowd. You both looked up at the balcony.

Ezreal: So, the prince is supposed to address his citizens up there? Talk about neat. Never seen a crowning before. Have you?

Y/N: Only on TV. Saw a chief be instated.

Ezreal chuckled.

Ezreal: Country boy. Bet you banged the farmer's daughter.

You rolled your eyes. Always with the jokes, this one. You just sighed as you waited for the ceremony to start. There had to be hundreds of people here. Even more crowded outside of the area.

This could all go sideways if they got in the way. Or if the group attacked them first.

Everyone here was Demacian. Everyone wore white.

There was no telling who was the enemy.

The crowd began to cheer as the prince stepped out onto the balcony. You and Ezreal watched as he was given the crown and gave his oath. You listened to the speech he gave to his people.

And you heard the first bomb go off.

Jinx: Y/N.

You snapped out of your thoughts and turned to Jinx. She signaled behind you and you turned around. People were staring at the two of you. Almost as if they were surpsied or confused.

Akali: Uh, what's going on?

Totoro: <Meow?>

Y/N: They are looking at us.

You awkwardly stood there before a girl approached you. She looked to be a young teenager. She stopped a few feet away.

Girl: Excuse me, but are you...Lieutenant L/N?

Your eyes went wide at the title.

Y/N: Uh, yes. That's me.

The girl smiled a bit.

Girl: You probably don't recognize me. But, uh, you helped me. Right after the attack.

You looked at her closer and you suddenly recognized her. She was just a kid back then, but she now a young woman. 5 years ago, you did in fact help her. You smiled.

Y/N: Little Poppy.

The girl, Poppy, smiled widely when you said her name. She honestly wasn't expecting you to remember her.

Poppy: H-Hi. Sorry for bothering you like this but...

Y/N: Don't be sorry. You've grown. How are you doing?

Poppy: Good! Uh, I just got my driver's license! I'm a junior now. Man, I wish my mom was with me so she could see you.

The girls watched as you talked to this girl. As you did, they noticed that other people were getting closer as well. Some started to talk to Jinx while others simply watched.

These people knew you. Or, knew of you.

Y/N: How is your mom doing?

Poppy: Well. You know, you guys are kinda legends around here now. The heroes who saved Demacia even though you aren't....you know. Demacian.

You laughed a bit.

Y/N: Yeah. Well, it was just us doing our duty. I'm just glad we saved who we did.

Poppy: This is kinda crazy. I mean, you guys showed up the same week KDA is supposed to preform.

You awkwardly looked over to the girls before you smiled nervously.

Y/N: Ha. Yeah. Crazy.

Totoro: <Meow>

Y/N: Shut it.

You suddenly realized just how many people were gathered around. People that you had saved when you lead the counter attack. The people who survived.

Poppy: Mister?

You looked down at the young girl who was tugging in your sleeve. You were covered head to toe in ash and blood. Your eyes were bloodshot and you were in extreme pain.

In other words, you looked like death walking.

Poppy: I can't find my mommy.

You looked around at the smoke and destruction around you. People were wandering around everywhere. The flashing lights of the first responders were accompanied by their sirens.

It was mayhem. Everywhere you looked, there was mayhem.

You looked back down at the young girl and held out your hand.

Y/N: Come on. Let's go find her.

The girl smiled and took your hand.

A man who had just killed and fought his way through terrorist, someone who was tired, hurt, and beaten, lead the young girl through hell.

And he helped her find her mother.

And that girl was now standing before you. A young woman who was smiling. In the very place where you had first met.

Y/N: It's good seeing you again, Poppy. I'm glad that you're doing well.

You laid on the large bed back at the hotel. Your mind was still on the memorial. How everyone saw you as a hero.

You heard a knock on the door and you looked over to it. Jinx wouldn't knock.

Y/N: Yeah?

Eve: It's me.

You sat up.

Y/N: Come in.

The door opened and Eve stepped in. She closed the door behind her and walked over to you.

Y/N: What's up? Need anything?

Eve shook her head.

Eve: Just checking in. I wanted to see how you were holding up after earlier.

You looked at her for a moment. These situations never end well. But you figured this one might since...well, things were different now.

Y/N: I'm good. Just....it's a bit of a trip to see something like that. You know?

Eve nodded as she sat down next to you.

Eve: I bet. But, it was also kinda weird to see everyone flock to you instead of us. Shows me just what kind of person you really are.

You chuckled.

Y/N: A celebrity?

Eve: A hero.

You looked at her.

Eve: I always figured you were brave. You're kind as well. But, seeing that, it showed me that you truly are a good man.

You smiled a bit. You then shrugged.

Y/N: Not really. My callsign was Villain for a reason.

Eve: Because you make yourself out to be one?

Y/N: Because someone needs to be. My unit wasn't well liked by others until we proved ourselves. Serving no country meant we were also enemies to every country. So, I let them focus their hate on me.

Eve looked at you for a moment. She then smiled.

Eve: Well, those days are behind you. No one hates you anymore. Especially not us.

Y/N: Not no one.

Eve was confused.

Y/N: I'm sure I could find someone if I really tried.

Eve just laughed when she saw your smirk. She gently pushed you before she stood up.

Eve: Well, good luck on that. In the meantime, me and the others will be heading down to try out that spa area. Jinx said that there was a hot springs?

You nodded.

Eve: Well, feel free to join us if you'd like. Later, hero.

She walked out of the room as you sat there. You then realized something.

Y/N: Did she just invite me to the hot springs?
