You and Kai'sa walked into the hotel room and found everyone doing their own thing. Well, mostly everyone. Ahri and Akali were missing but Eve and Jinx were still there.

Jinx was playing on the Switch with Totoro sitting next to her. The Guinea Pigs watched from the coffee table. Eve, however, immediately got up and walked over to Kai'sa.

Eve: You're with me.

Kai'sa didn't even get to debate before Eve dragged her along. They both left the room while you stood there confused. You looked at Jinx with a raised brow but she just shrugged.

Jinx: I don't even know.

You just sighed and sat next to her on the couch. You watched her play for a moment before she looked at you. She paused the game and handed the controller to the Guinea Pigs.

Jinx: Okay. No one else is here. It's time we talked.

You looked at her confused.

Y/N: What?

Jinx crossed her arms as she moved to get more comfortable on the couch.

Jinx: You've been getting worse. I haven't seen you this spaced out since we were discharged. And now things have been getting all weird with you.

You turned back to the TV.

Y/N: I don't know what you're talking about.

Jinx kicked your arm which actually hurt. You retracted your arm as Jinx glared at you.

Jinx: I'm not fucking around, Y/N. Serious talk time.

Y/N: There's nothing wrong, Jinx.

Jinx: Bullshit. Dude, what the hell happened at the bar? You snapped. You haven't done that since that dude groped me. And you ended up in jail.

Y/N: For a night.

Jinx: Because I bailed your ass out.

You rolled your eyes.

Y/N: I don't even know why you're bring this up.

Jinx: Gee. I wonder why.

You looked to your friend and noticed that she had that look on her face. The same one she got when she started to worry.

You never saw it often.

Jinx: Y/N, please talk to me.

You kept your eyes on her for a moment before you sighed.

Y/N: You want to know the truth, Jinx? The God honest truth?

Jinx nodded. You sighed as you sat back on the couch.

Y/N: I don't feel right. It's hard to explain. But, I feel like I'm trying way too hard.

Jinx raised a brow.

Jinx: Trying to do what?

You turned to her and she finally saw something. Something she had missed for so long.

You looked tired.

Jinx: Y/N....

Y/N: You know where I go when I space out?

Jinx didn't know the answer.

Y/N: I find myself back on the unit. With you, Ezreal, Darius....

Jinx watched as you closed your eyes.

Y/N: Rell.

You felt Jinx place a hand on yours. You opened your eyes and looked at her.

Y/N: I feel like I'm trying to hard to forget them. Or to live in the past. Or to move on. Or to love again. Or.....to keep living.

Jinx moved so that she was now able to hug you from the side. You laid your head on hers as you sighed.

Y/N: And I'm always wondering if this is where I need to be.

Jinx nodded.

Jinx: Why didn't you say anything before?

Y/N: I don't know.

Jinx: You look so tired.

Y/N: Sorry.

Jinx suddenly lifted her head, making you lift yours.

Jinx: Go to sleep.

Y/N: Jin...

Jinx: Go. Get some rest. I'll keep the girls away.

You looked at her oddly. She just rolled her eyes.

Jinx: You really think I don't see it?

Y/N: See what?

Jinx: That this all started to get to you when they confessed to you.

That wasn't....wait. No. That's not.....was it?

Jinx: You keep trying to fall in love with one of them. And now it's getting to you. You need a break.

Y/N: That's fine, but...I don't think we should blame the girls.

Jinx: We aren't. I'm not, you're not, bo one is. But you keep pushing yourself to try to look for something that isn't there. Yet. You can't force love.

Y/N: I know.

Jinx: And you get a pass. After what happened to Rell.....you don't owe anyone anything.

You lowered your head as Jinx crossed her arms.

Jinx: It kinda makes me mad that they keep trying to get with you like this. Ahri came to you to be their manager. And sometimes, it feels like you're not. You keep going around trying to make sure everything is perfect for them, bit you never stop and do the same for yourself.

Y/N: I thought we weren't blaming them.

Jinx: I know. It's just....yeah. Sorry.

You just nodded and stood up.

Y/N: Alright. I'm going to bed.

Totoro: <Meow>

You looked down at the cat who was looking at you with a curious face. You smiled and picked him up.

Y/N: Yeah. You can stay with me tonight.

Totoro purred in your embrace as you walked to your room.

The girls came back about two hours later, around 8, laughing. Jinx looked up from her phone.

Akali: Mr. Y/N!

Jinx: Keep it down.

The girls stopped and looked at her. They were smiling so they must have had a good time. Whatever they were.

Ahri: Where's Y/N?

Jinx: Alseep. Kai'sa, you're staying with Kali. I'm sleeping on the couch.

Kai'sa: What? Why?

Jinx: Cause he needs to sleep. He's tired.

Ahri raised a brow while Akali pouted.

Akali: Aw. I wanted to cuddle up and play some Mario.

Jinx just rolled her eyes.

Jinx: You know, that's part of the reason why he's so damn tired.

She stood up and motioned to Akali.

Jinx: Comments like that.

Ahri: What's up with you? Why are you so annoyed?

Eve: Yeah. You seem a bit...touchy.

Jinx looked at them annoyed.

Jinx: It's not just her. It's you.

She pointed Ahri.

Jinx: You.

She then pointed to Kai'sa.

Jinx: And you. Hell, maybe even me sometimes. No wonder he's so tired.

Kai'sa: Jinx, what are you on about? Did something happen?

Jinx: The fact that none of you know is a problem. Haven't you guys seen him? The guy is in his mid 20's and he has two grey hairs!

The girls all stood there confused at Jinx's sudden annoyance. She rubbed her temples and sighed.

Jinx: Look, Y/N isn't doing good. How none of you noticed yet, I have no idea. But you all really need to lay off.

Eve: Lay off on what?

Jind: On hitting in him. On pushing yourselves on him! How can you not see that it bothers him?!

Ahri: You don't need to yell....

Jinx: Clearly I do! Can none of you open your damn eyes for two seconds?! Y/N is busting his ass trying to make sure everything is perfect for you yet you can't even see that he's losing his mind. Think about it. How often has he been spacing out lately?

The girls went quiet as they thought about it. You had been dazed a lot lately. Always off in your own world. Thinking about things you would never say out loud.

Ahri: Well...I still don't see why you're......

Jinx: Of course you don't.

Ahri crossed her arms.

Ahri: What does that mean?

Jinx: Hm. Gee. I wonder.

Eve: Jinx....

Jinx: No. Someone needs to say something because you all can't keep getting away with this just cause you're all attractive or whatever.

Jinx pointed to Akali.

Jinx: You're a little minx. You tease and play and you completely disregard his feelings. You want to be treated like an adult but you act like everything is a game. Going around calling Y/N your boyfriend like he's some kind of thing.

Jinx then turned to Kai'sa.

Jinx: You act like you're such a motherly figure. Like Y/N needs guidance in his life when he never asked for it. You act like you know all of this great knowledge when you're just as clueless as the rest of us.

Jinx looked at Eve.

Jinx: You need to get off your high horse acting like you're the hot shit. All this "darling" and "dear" shit is getting annoying and everytime you call Y/N that, I can see him get uncomfortable. But you don't care, do you?

Jinx then turned to Ahri.

Jinx: And you. Oh, where do I start?

Jinx took a step forward.

Jinx: You are easily the worst. You abandoned Y/N when he needed you. After years of being his friend, you tossed him away like a fucking toy you didn't want to play with anymore! You didn't call when his mom died! While you were running around exploring the world, making money, getting all pretty, Y/N was putting his life on the line every single fucking day because he felt like he had no place in the world. You did that.

Ahri felt her heart break with every word. She could actually feel the tears form in her eyes.

Ahri: Stop...

Jinx: He fought while you whined! You don't get to cry! You don't know what he had to go through to be here now! You left him, his mother died, he cut ties with his father, he had to watch his brothers die! He had to watch the love of his life die! And now you want to go around and make him fall for you and none of you even give a shit!

The girls all found themselves shocked at her words. They only knew about the team. They never knew...

Jinx: So the next time you bitches want to play your fucking game, remember that he's a fucking human being.

Jinx grabbed her coat and left the room, slamming the door behind her. The four stood there in silence.

You just sat against the door, looking at Totoro as you petted him.

Jinx knew you would never say anything. You weren't that kind of person.

You sighed as you picked up the cat and walked over to the bed where you laid down. You had woken up when the girls had come in. You were going to greet them, but Jinx spoke her mind.

She always did.

That was one of the reasons why you liked her.

But what was said was said. And that was the end of it.

At least, for now.

So you closed your eyes and went back to sleep.

It was the next morning when you walked out of the room, already dressed and washed off. You found the girls sitting around, but no one was talking. Hell, no one was really doing anything.

They were all just thinking to themselves.

You looked around but failed to find Jinx. Totoro stayed on your shoulder as you slowly walked more into the room.

Y/N: Morning.

No one responded. Akali at least raised a hand but she didn'tokk away from the news playing in the TV.

Okay.

You figured things were going to be awkward.

This was just rough.

Y/N: Uh, where's Jinx?

No one really answered. Kai'sa eventually looked up from her bowl of dry cereal.

Kai'sa: I think she slept on the bus.

Probably to avoid everyone.

You just nodded and placed your hands in your pockets. Everyone was just....depressed? Angry? Disappointed? Ashamed?

You had no idea.

Y/N: I'll go check on her. We'll head out in a few hours.

Once again, no one made an attempt to say anything. Even Ahri didn't call for Totoro. Looks like he was staying with you.

You sighed and left the room to go find Jinx.

The bus was parked around the back of the hotel, it was just easier that way, so you found Jinx just leaning against it with a cigarette in between her fingers.

She looked up from her phone when she heard you walking towards her. She tossed the cigarette down and stomped it out.

Jinx: S'up, loser?

You shrugged.

Y/N: Well, the girls are still down over your grand speech last night.

Jinx sighed as you leaned on the bus next to her.

Jinx: You heard that?

You nodded.

Y/N: Every single vowel. You really laid into them.

Jinx: Yeah. Look, I'm sorry if I stepped over the line and...

Y/N: We've all been stepping over the line. You're fine.

Jinx shook her head.

Jinx: I made them cry. That wasn't cool.

Y/N: But you said what you wanted to. And....I just want to say thanks.

Jinx looked at you in surpise.

Y/N: Thank you for looking out for me. But you know you don't need to.

Jinx nodded.

Jinx: I know. You're Villain 1-4. The Red Death. Y/N L/N.

You both laughed a bit at your old call signs and titles. You then sighed.

Y/N: You know, this is going to affect a lot of things.

Jinx: I know. That's why I said I'm sorry.

Y/N: They'll also have a lot of questions. Did you really have to tell them about my mom? And my dad? And....everything?!

Jinx: It just came out. You know...

Y/N: Yeah. Yeah. I get it. Everyone knows I don't hide things. Just....never bring them up.

Jinx just lowered her head.

Jinx: I'm going to have to apologize to them, right?

You nodded. You then placed a hand on her shoulder.

Y/N: Come on. I'll go with you. After, I'll make some waffles.

Jinx: No. I'll make some waffles. I thought we talked about this yesterday. You're going to rest.

You just rolled your eyes as you both walked back towards the hotel.

Totoro: <Meow>

Y/N: Okay! Okay. No need to yell.

Totoro pawed your face as the three of you walked.

You reached the room and walked inside. Jinx walked in after you and immediately noticed the lack of enthusiasm and madness that was usually there.

Ahri looked up and spotted Jinx before she lowered her head again.

You stood there as everyone tried their best to pretend that nothing was wrong.

Thank God they weren't actors.

Finally, you sighed.

Y/N: Jesus Christ. Okay, everyone gather around.

No one moved.

Y/N: Y'all better get your asses on this couch right now or so God help me I'll....

Before you could even finish your sentence, everyone sat down on the couch. You turned to Jinx, but saw that she was on the couch.

Y/N: Not you, bozo.

Jinx got up and stood next to you. You turned back to the girls and crossed your arms.

Y/N: Look. I heard everything last night so I know what happened. Jinx here has something she would like to say.

You nodded to Jinx who sighed.

Jinx: Sorry that I yelled at you guys. And that I called your bitches. I actually do like you guys, but something needed to be said.

Y/N: And she was right. Look, I care for you all, but I can't keep doing this. Going back and forth with you all and trying to force myself to fall in love with one of you.

You uncrossed your arms and looked at the group.

Y/N: What Jinx said was true. My mom died a few days after Ahri left. I joined the military and I had to watch the people I came to see as family die. Included in that family....was my fiancée.

The girls all looked up in shock at the news. You rubbed your neck.

Y/N: Her name was Rell. And we were only two weeks out from getting married. And I lost her. That's why I have such a hard time in trying to....move on.

Ahri: Y/N, I never...

Y/N: I never said anything. And really, I rather not talk about it. Not right now, at least.

You then took a deep breath.

Y/N: That being said, I'm laying down some ground rules. No more boyfriend talk. No "darling" or "dear" or anything like that. And for now on, I'm only sharing a room with Jinx.

Ahri: That's understandable.

Akali: Alright.

Eve: Okay.

Kai'sa: If it's better for you.

You nodded.

Y/N: Alright. Now, everyone stop mopping around. Jinx is making us waffles.

Jinx: Special....

Y/N: Normal waffles.

Jinx just groaned as she stalked towards the kitchen. The mood seemed to lighten up a bit, but you could tell that the girls were still a bit embarrassed about the whole thing.

Y/N: Stop being all ashamed. I'm just as guilty. I shouldn't have let this go on as long as I did.

Ahri: That's not the point. We never....we crossed the line.

Eve: I'm so sorry about your fiancée. If I had known...

Y/N: None of you could have.

Akali: Was that her ring that I found?

You nodded.

Y/N: Yep. She never wore it, though. Never got to give it to her.

You then clapped your hands together.

Y/N: But that's in the past now. Let's enjoy some waffles!

The others seemed to cheer up a bit.

But you already knew that the damage was done.

Things weren't going to be the same anymore.

The girls were finally going to actually get to know you.

And you were finally willing to move forward.

If only things were easy.
