Uber was a God send. Parking would've been impossible but the wonders of the internet have blessed you once again.

Akali: Woah! That guy's dressed like Saitama! Ah! And she looks like Tifa! No way! They're dressed like Cosmo and Wanda!

Akali was already geeking out at the sight of everyone dressed up. And you haven't even gotten to the entrance yet.

The girls were more comfortable in their outfits while you were just glad it wasn't too hot out. You had only been to a convention once before. But, it seemed pretty neat.

Jinx: Alright, y'all. Keep it moving.

Guy: Yo! Skarlet! That my main bitch!

Jinx: You know it!

You chuckled as you pulled out the tickets on your phone.

Y/N: I'm gonna head over to get the passes.

Eve: I can go with you.

You nodded and left Jinx in charge. You trusted Ahri and Kai'sa, but Akali was just about to jump on some dude dressed like Ezio from Assassin's Creed.

You and Eve made your way through the crowd before you found the booth. Once you handed them your phone for them to scan the tickets, they went back to grab the passes.

Eve: This is really neat.

You looked to her to see that she was just about to burst with joy. She kept looking at all the costumes and props. Looks like she was going to explode at any moment.

She watched as a Joker cosplayer walked by and nearly lost it at the sight of his son dressed as batman.

Eve: Aw~

Y/N: What?

Eve: I want a kid I could dress up.

You smiled a bit. She couldn't have kids. But, adoption was always an option. Still, it was almost sad to see her fond over the kids that were dressed up.

Must remind her of her own childhood. Her brothers did dress up with her on Halloween and whatnot.

The lady came back with the passes and handed them to you. You thanked her and turned back to Eve who was still looking around.

Y/N: Here you go. Special VIP passes.

Eve's eyes went wide when you handed her one of the passes. She looked at it, then at you, and then back at it.

Eve: But isn't this....

Y/N: It'll get us into a bunch of panels, interviews, and stuff like that.

Eve: But aren't these super expensive?

You just shrugged.

Y/N: Might as well go all out, right?

Eve nearly squealed before you noticed someone looking at her. You suddenly worried that someone had recognized her, but you were instead surpised when the couple walked over with their phones out.

Girl: Excuse me?

You and Eve looked at her.

Girl: Could we get a picture? Your costumes are so cool.

You and Eve looked at each other before you shrugged.

Y/N: Sure. Get over here.

Everyone smiled at your joke as the girl got between you and Eve as her friend held up his phone. You all got into poses and he snapped a photo.

Girl: Thank you.

You and Eve just waved at her as she walked away. Eve smiled under her mask.

Eve: I never had someone take a picture with me like that before. They didn't even know I was...you know.

You nodded.

Y/N: Yeah. Kinda cool, huh?

Eve nodded as you lead her through the crowd again. Once you found the others, you and Eve had to stop. They were surrounded by people trying to take pictures with them.

Eve: Looks like they're on their own for a while, huh?

Y/N: Yep. One sec.

You whistled a tune which caught Jinx's attention. She looked over at you and you held up the passes. She nodded and you started to fling them one by one through the crowd. Jinx caught all four and gave you a thumbs up.

Eve: Impressive.

Y/N: A skill one acquires trying not to die. Let's go inside.

Eve nodded excitedly. She practically grabbed your arm and dragged you inside.

Eve: We should go look at the artists that are here. And the panels. Oh! And, and the actors!

You chuckled as you followed Eve who was looking at everything. You've never seen her act like this before. It was kinda adorable.

Y/N: We'll see it all. For now, we just have to enjoy it.

Eve: Ah!

She stopped and turned towards you.

Eve: I need a fake name.

You raised a brow.

Eve: So you don't go calling me by my name and someone recognizing me. You know the news would be all over this if they knee KDA was here wearing these kind of outfits.

She had a point. You rubbed your chin for a moment.

Y/N: Uh, how about Madison?

Eve: Madison?

Y/N: Yeah. It was a girl I used to go to school with.

Eve nodded.

Eve: Alright. Madison it is. As for you....

Y/N: No one even knows who I am.

Eve seemed slightly disappointed.

Eve: Oh, yeah.

You looked at her for a moment before you shrugged.

Y/N: What about Ezreal?

Eve: Huh?

Y/N: You'll be Madison, and I'll be Ezreal.

Eve nodded.

Eve: Ezreal. Got it. Come on. Let's go check some of this stuff out!

Jinx: Okay. Y/N said that they were on the higher floors. He said we'll meet for the Odyssey panel around 3.

Akali: Cool. Can we go look at the Adult Swim panel?

Jinx: Sure.

Jinx put her phone away and turned to find Ahri and Kai'sa looking at a booth.

Kai'sa: Look at this one.

She held up a shirt. On it was an anime style girl giving a peace sign. In her other hand was a soda. It read "You Had A Rough Day. Have A Dr. Pepper."

Ahri: Hm.

She looked down at another shirt.

Ahri: What's a, what does this say? "Poog champ"? "Pog Champ". That does sound right either.

Akali and Jinx just watched as they kept trying to say PogChamp.

Akali: Jesus. They're so old.

Jinx: They're my age.

You stood with Eve in line to one of the panels for the upcoming Marvel Movie. Which one was it now?

Eve: This is so exciting. I've never been to one of these before.

You just smiled. Your mask was hanging off your chin just so you could breathe while Eve was just about jumping from excitement.

Y/N: You know, this is kinda cute to see.

Eve looked at you confused.

Eve: What do you mean?

You just chuckled as you scratched your chin.

Y/N: Just...I'm not used to seeing you like this. You're usually more....what's the word....serious? Divaish?

Eve rolled her eyes.

Eve: You've known that I'm a nerd. I love this stuff. I've always wanted to go, it's just that I never had anyone to go with.

You thought about that for a moment. Eve did have very few friends. She never really got close to anyone unless she really trusted them. Plus, her family was still over in Ixtal, so it wasn't like they could just pop in whenever.

Y/N: Well, you do now. I like this stuff.

Eve: I kinda figured. Ahri mentioned you were a bit of a nerd growing up.

You nodded.

Y/N: Yeah. Me and my sister would go down to the store sometimes and pick up whatever comicbooks they had. Plus, my mom would take me to the movies when I was a kid. Before she got sick.

Eve looked at you for a moment before she moved a bit closer.

Eve: Speaking of which, what about your dad? You said that you cut ties with him. Why?

You sighed before you shook your head.

Y/N: It's really my fault. He...he was in the military when he was younger. Marine. And, uh, he never wanted me to do the same thing. He suffered a lot and he wanted me to avoid the same fate.

Eve: So I'm guessing he wasn't too happy?

Y/N: No. He found my papers in my room and we got into a fight. I spent the night at Jinx's, graduated the next day, left for camp that same night.

Eve looked at you in surpsie.

Eve: So you haven't seen him in 7 years?

Y/N: 8. 8 years.

That was a long time. Too long.

You shrugged and waved it off.

Y/N: Let's not talk about this. We're here to have fun.

You gave her a smile but she still felt a bit upset over the whole situation. She could never go that long without seeing or talking to her parents. Eventually you reached the front of the line and headed into the panel.

Ahri: So, what is a PogChamp?

Jinx: How are we the same age?

The girls were heading out of the Adult Swim panel and towards the signings. Akali was trying to explain what PogChamp was, but the others just weren't getting it.

Kai'sa: So, it's just a face someone makes?

Jinx placed a hand on her shoulder.

Jinx: Just let it be.

Akali mumbled something under her breath before they reach a booth. They all stopped when they noticed someone.

Jinx: Sona?

Sona looked up and spotted the group. They all stared at each other for a moment before Sona stood up.

Sona: Jinx!

She ran from around the booth and the two girls hugged.

Jinx: What are you doing here?!

Sona: They hired me to play at the after party. And I'm here to help promote that new show I'm in.

Ahri: You're an actor?

Sona: Yep.

She gestured to the booth and the girls looked at it.

Akali: Ghost Searchers. Wait....I know that show!

Sona: I'm a new character. Lori Hamilton.

Akali: As in the younger sister to the protagonist, William Hamilton?!

Sona: The very one.

Akali dropped to her knees and started to bow repeatedly.

Akali: I'm not worthy!

Sona just laughed at her antics. She then turned to Jinx.

Sona: So, are Y/N and Eve here?

Kai'sa: Yes. They're off on their own, though. But we are heading to the Odyssey panel at 3.

Sona suddenly beamed.

Sona: Really? That's great. Cause, I might have a surpise for you.

The girls all looked at her confused.

You whistled while you waited for Eve to finish up in the bathroom. You looked at your phone for a moment before you got a call. You answered.

Y/N: Hello?

Jayce: Jesus. You sound even worse than I remember.

You rolled your eyes.

Y/N: What's up, Jayce? You miss my voice already?

Jayce: Not even a bit. Say, my and the Mrs. are in Demacia. We're heading to the suites right now.

Y/N: Oh. Uh, we're not there.

Jayce: Let me guess. ComicCon?

Y/N: Yeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Jayce: Figured. Actually, if you guys weren't, I was gonna get passes for all of us. Me and Janna actually have costumes.

Y/N: So do we. Mortal Kombat.

Jayce: Well what do you know? So are ours.

Was he...was he watching you? Did he plant a bug on you? He was a special agent. You wouldn't put it past him.

Jayce: Guess we'll see you there.

Y/N: Yep. Better have a mask.

Jayce: Oh please. Who can't love this face?

???: Me, dear.

Jayce: Getting double teamed by my friend and my wife. Not cool.

???: Oh hush. I can't wait to meet you, Y/N.

Must be Janna.

Y/N: You too. See you guys when you get here.

You hung up just as Eve walked out.

Eve: Ready?

You nodded.

Jinx: She looks drunk.

Akali: How many views do you think I could get for this? Ahri dressed like Sonya Blade playing VR.

Kai'sa: Quite a bit I imagine.

The three stood there for a moment before Akali slowly lifted her phone up and hit record.

Eve nodded as she looked at all the merchandise on display. She spotted something and held it up.

Eve: Look.

You looked and found her holding a plushie of Totoro from My Neighbor Totoro. But the way she was holding it was like a kid showing you a toy.

You couldn't help but smile.

Eve: You think Totoro would like it?

Y/N: He would be very confused.

Eve hugged it.

Eve: Can I get it?

Y/N: Ev...Madison, you have money.

Eve: I'm aware.

You rolled your eyes and pulled out your wallet. You paid for it and Eve nudged you with her elbow.

Eve: Thanks, Ezreal.

Y/N: Anytime.

Jayce: Why is she calling you Ezreal?

You and Eve turned around and found Jayce standing there with his wife. You started to laugh when you saw their costumes.

Jayce was Shao Khan, and Janna was Sindel.

Y/N: That's perfect!

You and Jayce hugged while Eve hung back.

Jayce: Y/N, Eve, this is my wife. Janna.

You shook her hand.

Y/N: It's nice to finally meet you. If he's holding you hostage, blink twice.

Jayce pushed you while Janna smiled.

Janna: It's nice to finally meet you, as well. I've heard a lot about you. Thank you for keeping my husband safe back on the battlefield.

You smirked and looked over at Jayce.

Y/N: Anytime.

Jayce just stood there.

Jayce: You didn't answer my question.

Oh, yeah.

Y/N: Well, she didn't want to be recognized, so we came up with fake names. I'm Ezreal, and she's Madison.

Jayce: Madison?

Eve: Present.

Jayce nodded.

Janna: And are the others here?

Y/N: Yeah. We're supposed to meet up with them at 3.

Jayce: Well, let's enjoy the convention til then.

Jinx and Akali took a picture with a cosplayer dressed like Master Chief while Ahri and Kai'sa watched.

Ahri: You know, I'm starting to see just how far behind on pop culture I really am. What the heck is a Kratos?

Kai'sa: God of War.

Ahri: And Borderlands?

Kai'sa: I think that's a game.

Ahri: Huh.

Jinx and Akali walked back over to them.

Jinx: This place is pretty cool. I take back what I said about Y/N and Eve being mega nerds.

Akali: I know! And the costumes are so cool!

Jinx looked over to someone dressed in a cosply. A very revealing cosplay.

Jinx: I fully agree.

She was then hit on the head by someone dressed like a dog.

Dog: No horny!

He then ran off without another word. The girls stood there for a moment.

Ahri: Well, this is pretty fun. Kinda wish my boobs weren't on full display, though.

Kai'sa: I don't know. I've had to wear less for some of my routines.

Jinx and Akali looked at the women as they talked. They then looked down at their own chests.

The world wasn't fair.

Y/N: Thank you. I got to say, you're not how I thought you would be.

You and Janna walked behind Eve and Jayce as they spoke about her personal career.

Janna: What were you expecting?

You shrugged.

Y/N: Someone who's.....not you. But, I am pretty happy that he found someone to deal with his ass.

Janna laughed at your joke. In all honesty, Jayce was a good man. He was responsible and he was a hard worker. It wasn't really a surpise that he got such a beautiful wife.

And a child. Apparently their daughter was with her grandparents.

Janna: What about you? Jayce said you were single.

You nodded.

Y/N: Yeah. It's kinda a long story but....

Janna: The girls all like you.

You stopped and looked at her.

Janna: Jayce told me.

Y/N: How...

Janna: Jinx told him.

Damnit, Jinx.

Janna: What are you going to do about that?

You shrugged.

Y/N: I don't know. It's a weird situation.

Janna: I can see why. They're all very pretty. Must be difficult for you to pick one.

Y/N: It's not that. I just have a hard time....figuring things out. Love is hard.

Janna nodded.

Janna: It is. But it's worth it.

You smiled a bit. She was pretty cool.

Suddenly, your phone started to ring. It was almost 3 so it was probably Jinx calling to see where you were.

But it wasn't.

It was your sister.

Elizabeth: Y/N, it's dad.

You stopped and Janna noticed. Jayce looked back as well and watched as your face fell.

Y/N: What about him?

Elizabeth: He.....it's a long story. I should've told you sooner but he told me not to. He did want you to worry.

Y/N: Elizabeth, what's going on?

Eve: Y/N?

Elizabeth hesitated before she sighed.

Elizabeth: He's been sick. For a while. But his results just came back.

What was she talking about?

Elizabeth: Y/N, you need to come home.

You stood there for a moment before you shook your head.

Y/N: I can't. I'm in the middle of a tour. I can't just leave.

Elizabeth: Look, I know how things are between you two. But he needs you to be here. Please.

She sounded desperate. Worried. Jayce walked over to you when he saw the look on your face.

You slowly lowered the phone.

Jayce: What's wrong?

Y/N: It's my dad.

Jayce looked at you for a moment before he nodded.

Jayce: I can have the jet ready to take off by the time you get there.

Y/N: What? I can't just...

Jayce placed a hand on your shoulder.

Jayce: Yes, you can. I'll take over here until you get back. It's time to go home.

You stood there for a moment before you looked over to Eve. She seemed worried, but she nodded.

You needed to go.

You sighed and lifted your phone back up.

Y/N: Hey, I.....I'm on my way.

Time to go home.
