The Sibling
It has been a full week since you had gotten all of the members of the now world famous KDA to confess their feelings for you.
It has also been a week of nonstop mayhem.
Kai'sa: What do you want for lunch, Y/N?
Y/N: Uh...
Eve: Which outfit looks better, darling?
Y/N: Darling?
Akali: Yo, Mr. Y/N! Come play Mario Kart!
Y/N: You don't have to add the mister...
Ahri: Y/N, our child needs food.
Y/N: Then feed him....HE'S NOT OUR KID!
Jinx: I love this. Like, all of it.
You groaned as you dropped your head on your desk. Totoro was sitting next to the computer with the guinea pigs laying near him.
Totoro: <Meow?>
Y/N: No. I'm not mad. Just, tired. So, so tired.
You lifted your head up and sighed just as your phone beeped. You looked at it confused before you looked behind you. Everyone was here. Who the hell was calling you?
You picked up your phone and looked at the screen. You froze when you saw the name that was on it. Your hand hovered over the device as it rang.
By this point, the girls noticed and were now watching you.
Jinx: You gonna get that?
You gave it some thought, and pulled your hand away. You sat there as the riging echoed through the room as everyone watched. Finally it stopped, and you sighed. You picked up the phone and stood up. You then headed outside.
Everyone sat there in silence before they looked at Jinx. However, she was just as confused.
You sat on one of the seats near the pool and pulled out your phone. 1 missed call. From your sister. Why? Why now? Why was she calling you out of the blue like this?
Your thumb hovered over the call button but you stopped yourself. You tossed your phone onto the cushion and brought your hands up to your face.
Elizabeth: You seem down.
You looked up at your sister who was standing behind you. You just sighed as you looked at the ramp before you.
Y/N: I can't get it.
Elizabeth: Can't get what? The jump?
You shook your head. You sat back on your bike and looked over at the dirt ramp that someone had made before your time.
Y/N: No. It's not that.
Your sister looked at the ramp for a moment. She knew exactly what was on your mind. The real reason you weren't your regular self.
Elizabeth: I know you're scare. But, you don't have to be.
You just looked at her oddly.
Y/N: I just said...
Elizabeth: You just have to remember that we're always here for you, to catch you when you fall.
You looked at her for a moment before you turned back to the ramp. You knew what she was talking about. The one thing you wanted to get off your mind.
Y/N: And what if, I fall too long?
Elizabeth smiled.
Elizabeth: Then we'll wait. We'll always wait.
So you got up, and rode your bike down the hill towards the ramp.
Jinx: Y/N?
You looked up to see your blue haired friend standing in front of you.
Jinx: You good? You looked like you just got told you're the father.
You just sighed as you handed her the phone. She looked at the name on the screen then at you in surpise.
Jinx: This is...
Y/N: My sister called. I didn't answer.
Jinx handed your phone back to you and you looked at the screen.
Jinx: How long has it been?
Y/N: 7 years. 7 years since I left without a word.
Jinx sat next to you as you reread the name over and over again. Jinx placed a hand on your shoulder.
Jinx: You made the girls worry. Again.
Y/N: Sorry.
Jinx: You gonna call?
Should you? You haven't spoken to her in 7 years. Then again, the same could be said about Ahri. Now look at the two of you. Well, maybe now wouldn't be the best example.
Y/N: I don't know. I need to, think about it.
Jinx nodded and stood back up.
Jinx: I'll keep the others way in the meantime.
You nodded in thanks as she left you outside.
-----------
Akali: Is he alright? He's been out there for a while now.
Eve: If you call 3 hours a while.
Kai'sa: Has he even moved?
Ahri: You're seriously not going to tell us what happened?
The girls looked at Jinx who was drinking her tea.
Jinx: Nope. It's Y/N's personal business.
The girls all groaned and turned back toward the window. However, they were surpised to see you entering the house instead. You closed the door behind you and walked over to Jinx.
Y/N: I'm going to do it.
KDA: Do what?
They all looked at each other while you pulled out your phone.
Y/N: I'll just call her and see what happens.
Jinx smiled.
Jinx: I know you'll handle it.
You pulled out your phone and brought up Elizabeth's contact.
Ahri: Wait, call who? What are we missing?
Totoro: <Meow>
You headed to your room for some privacy while the girls turned to Jinx.
Eve: What is....
Jinx: Silence is a virtue.
You closed your door and sat on your bed before you looked at the phone.
This was it.
It was going to happen.
Call.
......
Elizabeth: Hello?
......
You froze. You just sat there after hearing your sister's voice for the first time in 7 years.
Elizabeth: Y-Y/N? Is that you?
Y/N: H-Hey. Hi.
Silence.
Elizabeth: Wow. It's, uh, it's really you.
Y/N: Yeah. It's me.
Elizabeth: Um, h-how are you? Like, how have you been?
Y/N: Well. You?
Elizabeth: Well, raising a 6 year old has it's ups and downs. Marriage too.
Silence.
Y/N: I'm, uh, I'm sorry that I missed your call, earlier. I was just.....caught off guard.
Elizabeth: I get it. It's been so long. I, uh, should have called earlier. I should have...
Y/N: The phone works both ways. I could've called too.
You did have her number, after all.
Elizabeth: Right. Well, you sound good. Like, healthy and stuff.
Y/N: Yeah. You too. How's your daughter?
Your niece.
Elizabeth: She's been good. She's actually number one in her class. The teachers were talking about moving her up a grade.
She was smart. Just like her mother. Just like your mother.
Y/N: That's pretty impressive. And, uh, your husband?
Elizabeth: He's good! He actually got transfered to a new location. Actually, that's why I'm calling.
Y/N: What do you mean?
Silence.
Elizabeth: Well, we're moving to the city. Your city, to be exact. And I wanted to see if we could meet up. You could meet Braum and Maria. And we could see each other.
Y/N:......
What could you say to that? You wanted to see her, meet her husband and daughter, but you couldn't help but feel this dark cloud over you when you thought about it. You have killed people. You have hurt others. Granted if you didn't, many more would've died. Regardless, you weren't the same as before.
But, you wanted to meet with your sister again. To see her in person. You wanted to tell her you were doing fine and that you were okay. You never wanted her to worry.
Y/N: I....I don't know.
Elizabeth: Y/N, please don't push me away. I don't know what you went through over the last 7 years but I want to see you. I want you to meet your niece.
Y/N: Elizabeth....things aren't the same anymore....
Elizabeth: I don't care. Y/N.....
Silence. You heard her sigh on the other line.
Elizabeth: Just, think about it, okay? Please?
You stayed silent for a moment.
Y/N: Yeah. I'll think about it.
Elizabeth smiled on the other line.
Elizabeth: Thank you. I'll be in touch. Maybe we could do dinner or, something.
You rubbed your eye and nodded.
Y/N: Okay.
Elizabeth: Alright. Bye.....I...I love you, bro.
You could feel your heartbreak at the words. Tears threatened to fall from your eyes as you lowered your head.
Y/N: Goodbye.
You hung up. You allowed the phone to drop to the floor before you buried your face in your hands. Then, you cried.
-------------
Jinx: I wonder how it's going.
Ahri: Maybe we would know...If you told us!
Akali was playing Mario Kart with Eve, who was having her ass kicked since she never played the game before, while Kai'sa and Ahri tried to solve the mystery.
Jinx: I already told you, it's Y/N's personal business. If he wants to tell you, then he will. Until then, as my friend, I will not speak on his behalf.
Akali: I can respect that.
Jinx nodded her head in thanks and returned her attention to her phone. Ahri and Kai'sa looked up at your door in worry. Akali figured you needed your space, and Eve knew better than to push for answers. Kai'sa was just worried that something might have happened. Ahri was worried that you may be having an episode.
Suddenly, your door opened. The game was paused and everyone turned to watch you walk out. You didn't say anything. You just walked past them and grabbed your keys and helmet. You were then out the door.
Eve: Where is he going?
Jinx: I, uh, have no idea.
They heard you start up your bike then drive away. They were left in silence before they turned to Jinx.
Jinx: No!
----------
Zoe: So, what's up with the long face?
You took a seat at your secret spot as Zoe pulled out a glass.
Rewinding to about 3 months ago after you decked Sylas in the face, Zoe quit her job there and started working at new place downtown. This bar was actually tucked away nicely so it was never really busy which was why you took a liking to it so much.
Plus, no one else in the house knew about it. If you needed to get away from the craziness, this was where you would go. Since then, you and Zoe gained a kind of friendship crafted over alcohol and troubles. Actually, it seemed like you were the only one ever here.
Y/N: I just need a drink.
Zoe: The usual?
You nodded. Zoe opened the bottle and pour your a glass before she pushed it towards you.
Zoe: So, anything you want to talk about today?
You took a sip of the whiskey and shrugged.
Y/N: Is there anything I ever want to talk about?
Zoe: That's fair. Anything I can force outta ya?
You pointed at her statement. You then looked down at the glass.
Y/N: Well, my sister called me. And I talked to her.
Zoe: Doesn't seem that bad.
Y/N: We haven't talked in 7 years.
Zoe: There it is.
You took another drink as Zoe leaned on the counter.
Zoe: Speak to me, soldier.
You rolled your eyes at the nickname.
Y/N: Not much to talk about. She's moving here with her husband and daughter who I've never met. On top of that, she wants to meet up.
Zoe: And you don't want to?
You shook your head.
Y/N: Of course I do. That's my family. It's just...I don't think I should. I mean, I left without saying a single thing. Not to her, and not to my father. They were always there for me and I just up and left on the night of graduation. I didn't even wait around for them to say congratulations.
Zoe hissed.
Zoe: Ouch. That's cold.
Y/N: I know! And now I'm the manager of the group that's been trending for the past month!
Zoe: Congrats on that, by the way. I don't know if I ever said that.
You just lowered your head before you took another drink. Zoe tapped her chin as she thought about something.
Zoe: Want some advice?
Y/N: Literally anything is better than what I'm thinking.
Zoe: I say you go see her.
You lifted your head and looked at the small woman.
Y/N: What?
Zoe nodded.
Zoe: Go visit her. Have dinner or whatever. If she's reaching out to you like this, then she really wants to see you. So what if you ditched her? She clearly doesn't care. Besides, you should meet your niece and your brother in law.
Now, Zoe was a lot of things. In some ways, she reminded you of Jinx. That was probably why the two of you got along so well. However, she never really gave you advice. She just provided jokes and conversation.
Y/N: Do you, really think that?
Zoe nodded.
Zoe: I do. Even after 7 years, you should see your sister. It's the right thing to do. Besides, if you really feel that guilty about leaving, this could be you way of making it up to her.
She, had a point? Hm. Maybe her college classes were really paying off. Finally.
You looked at the glass in your hand and made your choice.
------------
Ahri: Tell us!
Jinx: THE NEXT PERSON WHO BIGS ME ABOUT THIS IS GOING TO END UP IN THE POOL!
The guinea pigs sat on the couch eating popcorn with Totoro as the girls all yelled at each other. This has been going on since you left. That was about an hour ago.
The pets turned towards the door when they heard you return. The girls didn't notice over their yelling as you entered the house. You dropped your keys in the key bowl and set your helmet down before you stood at the entrance.
They were really going at it.
Eve: Maybe if you weren't so pushy, Y/N would be more open with us!
Kai'sa: I'm pushy?! What about you, darling?!
Akali: Can you guys keep it down? I'm trying to eat my pizza rolls and game in peace.
Ahri: Tell us!
Jinx: That's it! To the pool!
Ahri: You and what army?!
She was silence by a swift smack on the head when you brought down the rolled up magazine. The girls stopped fighting and turned to see you standing there with the magazine in your hand.
Y/N: We have neighbors, you know.
Jinx: And where the hell did you....!
You smacked her in the head with magazine as well before your crossed your arms.
Y/N: The hell is going on here? Why are you fighting?
Everyone pointed at you.
Y/N: Oh.
You then smacked yourself with the magazine. Ow. That actually kinda hurts.
Ahri: Where have you been?
Y/N: Bar.
Jinx: You went to a bar?
Y/N: Yep. Oh, and, uh, everything is alright now. Sorry for making you guys worry.
The girls felt a bit more at ease, but Akali sucked at reading social ques.
Akali: So what happened? Did someone die?
Ahri: Akali!
You just chuckled a bit.
Y/N: No. Nothing like that. My sister called me.
The girls all went silent at the news. Jinx just looked at you.
Jinx: How did it go?
You just shrugged.
Y/N: I'm meeting her for dinner on Friday. I'll meet my niece and brother in law for the first time. And, uh, I want you guys to be there. If you're free.
This actually came as a surpise.
Kai'sa: You want us to go with you to see your sister?
You nodded.
Akali: Free food and meeting my boyfriend's family? Hell yeah!
Y/N: We're not....whatever. Yeah. I would appreciate it if you guys could come. No pressure too, though.
Ahri stood up and smiled as she held Totoro.
Ahri: Y/N, of course we'll go. This means too much to you for us to miss it.
Kai'sa: I agree. Besides, I always wanted to meet your sister.
Eve: I suppose it wouldn't hurt.
You smiled as you looked at everyone.
Y/N: You guys, are the best.
