The Rain Day
Today was going to be a surprisingly quiet day. The girls all decided to go to Kai'sa's dance studio for the day meaning you had the whole house to yourself. Jinx would be in charge of everyone so you had the entire day to relax and have a good time. So what were you going to do?
Clean the house!
Yeah, you didn't have much to do today. Plus it was raining outside so it seemed like a good day to do some tidying up. Besides, the Holidays were coming up pretty soon and everyone was going to go visit their families. At least, the girls were. You were staying at the house. Alone. You'll have plenty of time to do stupid shit then.
You left your room whistling as you started off the day. You headed to the kitchen and got a bowl of guinea pig food before you headed to the doll house. You set it outside and knocked on the house to which the front door opened and Mini Kai'sa walked out.
Y/N: Breakfast.
Mini Kai'sa: <Squeak>
She grabbed the bowl and dissapered back inside. You then stretched as you walked back towards the kitchen. That was done so time for part 2. Akali decided it was a good idea to buy a roomba for the house.
Akali: It'll be fun
And it was, until it kept hitting Jinx in the foot. Roomba-san is now somewhere behind the house since Jinx threw it over the balcony. Sometimes you could still hear it. Battery life on those things were amazing.
So you grabbed the vacuum and plugged it into the wall. Not the outlet. The wall itself. Something Akali discovered was that there was a place in the wall that somehow, someway, provided electricity. Probably not safe but, you know, whatever.
I also made that up. You plugged it into the outlet.
As you vacuumed the floor, you made your way toward the living room. However, when you got there you noticed something very out of place. You turned off the vacuum and stepped over to the coffee table that was usually covered in magazines or cheesy romance novels.
There was only a comic book laying there. You looked around confused before you reached down and picked it up. It was a Green Lantern comic book. An old one too, by the looks of it.
You looked at the date and saw that it was indeed an old one. As in No. 166, July, 60 cents old. Wait a second....this thing is worth a fortune! This is an original Green Lantern comic book from back in the Golden age of comic books! What the hell is it doing here?!
Wait....no one was here. Only you. Could it be Akali's? She was a bit of a nerd like this but, no. It couldn't be her. She didn't like sci-fi stuff. It wasn't Ahri, that's for sure. She has stated many times before that she prefers Marvel over DC cause, "DC is too depressing". Kai'sa also didn't seem like one to enjoy comic books. Jinx didn't even care for comics much less one this vintage. That would leave Eve but......she was Eve.
You gave it some thought before you looked at the comic book. Well, you did have all day. Surely who ever owned this would mine if you just sat down and took a quick peek at it......
Eve: Put. That. Down. Now.
You froze at the cold voice and slowly turned around to find Eve standing there with most evil look in her eyes. She had her arms crossed but you also noticed she wore a silk robe that was tied close and she had on her reading glasses. Slowly, you set the comic down on the table and turned to her.
Y/N: H-Hey, Eve. What are you doing here? I thought you guys went to the dance studio. Haha.
Eve glared at you as she walked around the couch and sat down. You suddenly noticed the cup of warm tea on the otheraide of the coffee table and pieced it together.
Y/N: Wait, are you sick?
Eve: It's just a fever. Ahri flipped out about it, though, so I stayed here.
You looked at the vacuum and wondered if the noise was too much. Maybe it gave her a headache. Before all that, you did have some questions.
Y/N: So, uh, is that yours?
You pointed at the comic book to which Eve blushed. She quickly snatched it up and held it close to her.
Eve: Back off.
Y/N: I wasn't going to take it. I'm just, ah, surpised. I didn't think you liked this stuff.
Eve looked at you for a moment before she sighed. She pulled out her phone and showed you her wallpaper. You took the device and looked at the picture. It was a younger Eve next to two boys who looked slightly older than her. If you had to guess, she looked to be around 15. She was also dressed like Wonder Woman while the two boys were dressed as Batman and Superman.
Y/N: Aw. Young Eve. Adorable.
Eve snatched her phone back but you just stood there smiling.
Eve: I like super heroes. So what?
You just shrugged.
Y/N: There's nothing wrong with that. People like things. It's not that big a deal.
You sat on the other end of the couch and looked at her.
Y/N: So, who were the dudes in the picture? Ex's?
Eve shook her head and showed you a different photo. It was of her in her school's uniform with the boys again. They looked like they were making fun of Eve's height but young Eve was just smiling.
Eve: They're my brothers. Oscar and Lloyd.
Y/N: Really? They look nothing like you.
Eve nodded as she took the phone back.
Eve: That's because we're not related by blood. I was adopted.
She was? This was news to you.
Y/N: I never knew you were adopted.
Eve: I was taken in by my family when I was just a little girl. I never really questioned it until I was a teenager but, I never really cared. I love them.
You smiled a bit as you leaned back against the couch.
Y/N: Are they the reason why you're a nerd?
Eve rolled her eyes as she crossed her leg.
Eve: You could say that. Dad is a huge geek when it comes to Star Trek and stuff like that. My brothers and I are more about superheroes. Mom just liked to spend time with us so she would always take us to the movies. She even read some comics so that she knew what we were talking about.
Y/N: They sound like good people.
Eve nodded.
Eve: They are. They're the ones who pushed me when I needed it. Even now, I try to call them once a week or so just to check in.
You smiled at her story. Eve then looked at you.
Eve: What about you? Jinx said that you were staying here for the holidays?
Y/N: Yeah. Elizabeth and Braum are heading out on a vacation for Christmas so I'm just chilling here. Besides, after everyone comes back, we have a lot of work to do.
That was true. Thanks to various interviews and talk show appearances, KDA has officially made a name for themselves and the album was now on the top 100. Actually, it somehow made it to the top 10. Getting that sweet, sweet famous money.
Anyhow, thanks to this success, you were able to arrange a tour with Jayce so once everyone comes back, it was time to pack and hit the road for your first ever tour! Well, music, tour......you've seen things.
Eve: Why not go back home and visit your family? Surely your mom and dad would want to see you.
You got quiet for a moment before you smiled again.
Y/N: Nah. They don't like the holidays all that much.
Eve: You hesitated.
She noticed?
Eve: Y/N, why aren't you going home? Don't you want to see your parents? Or, did something happen?
Y/N: Fuck you!
Dad: Come back! Y/N! Please!
Y/N: Not really. It's just...they really don't like the holidays.
Eve: Any particular reason why?
You shook your head. In truth, your mother loved Christmas and your dad would always just go along with it. Growing up, you actually enjoyed the snow and the lights. You and Ahri would go sledding whenever you could and snow days at school were always the best. Also it was the only time you could play actual hockey on the ice instead of the street.
Y/N: They just....don't. Anyway, we were talking about you being a nerd.
Eve: Of course.
Y/N: So, like, how big of a nerd are you?
Eve looked at your for a moment and sighed before she stood up.
Eve: Follow me.
You did so, and ended up heading towards her room. Now might be a good time to mention that you've never been in any of the girl's rooms. You just trusted that they kept it clean themselves. You didn't even do their laundry. That was either Kai'sa or Jinx.
Anyway it turns out that Eve's room was....dark. Not in a goth way. More of a, there was no damn light. Her curtains were heavy and blocked out the sunlight threatening to peek in through the window and the only light as of right now was a lamp.
She walked over to the light switch and flicked it on, but that didn't help all that much.
Y/N: That's a big bed.
Eve: I know.
She walked over to her closet and opened it before she pulled out a large cardboard box. She set it on her bed and stepped back.
Eve: As you can see, this is a big box.
It was, yes.
Eve: Inside is every comic I have acquired over the last three years. My older and more expensive ones are locked away in that safe over there.
She pointed to the otherside of the room where a large safe was. That was also big.
Eve: Well, I have other things in it as well. Allow me to show you.
She walked over to it, entered the code, and opened the safe. Your eyes grew wide at what was inside.
Stacks upon stacks of comics, all organized and perfectly placed. Among the comics, however, were also various things from the comics. Lantern rings, figurines, batarangs, an Iron Man helmet, and even a signed copy of a Spider-Man comics from Stan freaking Lee.
Y/N: Holy shit.
Eve: This is my pride and joy.
She closed the safe and walked back over to her bed. While she was putting her box away, you noticed a Spider-Man plushie placed next to a Captain America plushie. Your eyes then drifted over to the wall where the safe was where you spotted a subtly hidden Flash poster.
Y/N: Huh. You are a huge nerd.
Eve: Call me that one more time, and you will not be leaving this room alive.
Y/N: Noted. So, uh, what else are you into? Like, do you watch Anime too?
Eve shook her head as she sat in her bed.
Eve: Not really. Lloyd does so I've seen some but, they're not really my thing.
Y/N: Yeah, that's fair.
Eve: I do watch a lot of movies, though. Not big on video games either.
You ended up leaning against the wall as you looked at Eve.
Y/N: So, just asking cause this just barely crossed my mind, did you think you were home alone?
Eve shyly nodded.
Eve: When I heard the vacuum, I knew someone else was here. That's why I tried to race back to the living room. I didn't want anyone to see the book.
Y/N: Oh, well...sorry. Jinx took over as Manager today so I figured I'd clean up around the house. If you want to stay out in the living room and read or do whatever you were going to do, I can just stay out of your way. Maybe take a nap or something.
Eve looked at you for a moment before she shook her head.
Eve: No. That wouldn't be fair to you, now would it? You can hang around but I'm going to be doing my thing.
You nodded in agreement.
Y/N: Alright. Then, how bout I order us some food. I'm guessing you haven't eaten yet, have you?
Before Eve could answer, a loud noise came from her stomach answering for her. She blushed as she looked forward with dead eyes.
Eve: I want to die.
You just smiled and pushed off the wall.
Y/N: I'll go ahead and order something, have them deliver it. You won't mind if I play some music, do you?
Eve looked at you and smiled slightly.
Eve: No. I won't.
-------------
Your rain day contiued with French Toast and fruit. Eve read her comics while you decided to play some games for once. It had been a while but you were now back to destroying Gears of War on the Playstation.
Eve: So, a new Spider-Man game is coming out soon.
Y/N: Yeah, I saw that too.
You suddenly dropped the controller when you got an idea. You turned to Eve and smiled widely.
Y/N: You wanna be a spokesperson for it?
Eve looked at you unamused for a moment.
Eve: Yes, please.
You grinned as you pulled out your phone. One of the oh so many benefits you had with working alongside Jayce was the fact that you had a lot of people's numbers. So, why not have a few strings pulled. You sent a quick email and set your phone down.
Y/N: That would be so cool to have you promote that game. Oh! We might even get a free copy.
Eve: Hey, would you mind if you could teach me how to play? I'm not big with games like you and Akali.
You nodded. The only reason you even started playing games was because it was something to do on your downtime. When you weren't on a mission, you were back at HQ with nothing to do. You weren't sure who had brought the old Playstation 2 to the base but, everyone played. Even the captain a few times.
Y/N: It's pretty easy, actually. Sometimes you gotta be quick, though.
You handed the controller to Eve who gladly took it. You showed her what buttons did what and then let her have a go at it. You watched as she ran through the battlefield and fired off shots. At first, she couldn't hot anything. Slowly, she got a hang of it and before long she was slaying everything in sight.
The guinea pigs were brought to the coffee table by Totoro and they watched the screen. You were even impressed by Eve's skill. She had a real talent for this.
Y/N: Wow. You're pretty good at this.
Eve: Really? I feel like this could be much harder.
That made you frown. In truth, you were playing on the hardest difficulty. How was she this good?
She beat the area she was on and handed back the controller. You paused the game and set the remote on the coffee table where the guinea pigs looked at it. You turned to Eve.
Y/N: Not bad, rookie.
Eve smirked as she read her comic.
Eve: Thank you. I'm glad to see you can learn to adore me, darling.
You rolled your eyes. Meanwhile, the guinea pigs were working together to play the game. Mini Akali and Kai'sa were in charge of the triggers while Mini Ahri and Eve were doing the joysticks.
Y/N: You know, I still find it weird that you guys have nicknames for me. Like, pet names. Sweetie, Mr Y/N, Darling. Kinda makes me remember that you all like me.
Eve: Love. Not like. There is a massive difference.
Y/N: Sorry. It's just, I'm not used to this stuff. People trying to kill me was my life for 5 years.
Eve raised a brow.
Eve: Jinx said that your DJ friend had a crush on you.
Oh yeah. Sona.
Y/N: Yeah but, it's just a crush. Like you just said, there is a massive difference.
Eve smiled slightly before she moved over to sit closer to you.
Eve: You know, I meant what I said the other night. You've gone and kissed Akali and Ahri. Me and Kai'sa may just get a bit jealous at the lack of attention.
She was now close enough to you that you could now see her robe start to slip down slightly. On top of that, you could feel her breath on your neck. She was teasing you. She knew the rules even if you didn't care for them. She was tempting you.
Eve: So, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to leave us hanging, or are you going to man up and take responsibility?
She had that extra venom to her voice. Not enough for it to sound like she was angry, but enough to definitely make her point. She placed a hand on your chest and soon enough, she was straddling you. She smirked as you looked at her.
She was definitely an attractive woman, there was no doubt about it. Hell, they all were. However, Eve just had that extra confidence about her. She knew what she wanted and when she wanted it and by God was she going to get it.
And she did.
You finly gave in and placed a hand on the back of her neck. You pulled her closer and your lips met.
As you kissed her, the guinea pigs contiued their game. They moved onto the next level and started the boss fight.
You placed your hands on Eve's waist while she wrapped her arms around your neck. Slowly, she began to rock her hips against your crotch and you shifted them to be more comfortable.
Y/N: God damn tease.
Eve: Oh, you know you love it~
She leaned back in and kissed you again. Totoro looked back at the two of you and rolled his eyes before he turned back to the guinea pigs who were growing more frustrated.
Eve and you slowly parted and you got to see her smile. Her real smile. You both silently laughed as she got off your lap and sat next to you. She leaned her head on your shoulder just as the front door opened.
Jinx: Yo, bitches! We're back!
The four girls entered the room, just as the controller went flying past Jinx's head.
Jinx: Ah!
Everyone looked at the coffee table where the guinea pigs were sitting, angry that they kept dying.
Ahri: So, what were you two doing?
You and Eve looked at each other and smiled.
Y/N: Playing games.
Eve: Just enjoying this rainy day.
